Wild Hearts in Wyoming In Sagebrush Valley, love is as wild and enduring as the land itself.
Autumn Wilder never thought she’d return to Sagebrush Valley. The small Wyoming town holds memories of love, loss, and a family legacy that feels heavier with each passing year. But when her beloved Pawpaw’s passing leaves her and her brother in charge of the family ranch, Autumn is faced with the fight of her life—to save the only home she’s ever truly loved from those who want to take it away.
Caught between the demands of ranch life, the weight of her past, and a land developer bent on destruction, Autumn finds solace in the unlikeliest of Colton Hayes, the ruggedly charming ranch foreman with a heart as steadfast as the mountains that surround them.
Cole has seen his fair share of heartbreak, but there’s something about Autumn—a fiery determination that matches his own—that reignites hope he thought he’d lost. Sparks fly as they mend fences, move cattle, and navigate the challenges of ranch life together. But with Autumn’s world on the verge of unraveling, trust doesn’t come easy. And neither does love.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Wyoming’s wild beauty, Wild Hearts in Wyoming is a story of resilience, rediscovery, and a love that feels as timeless and enduring as the land itself.
Will Autumn find the courage to let her guard down and trust Cole with both her ranch and her heart? Or will the ghosts of her past keep her from embracing the love she never expected to find?
Perfect for fans of slow-burn Western romances and strong, independent heroines, Wild Hearts in Wyoming is a tale of love, family, and the fight to protect what matters most.
Wild Hearts in Wyoming delivers exactly what I was hoping for in terms of cozy, small-town vibes with a strong, grounded female lead. Autumn is the heart of this story—resilient, capable, and quietly brave in a way that feels authentic rather than forced. I really enjoyed watching her navigate love, healing, and self-discovery against the backdrop of Wyoming’s rugged charm. The setting itself felt like a character, adding warmth and comfort to the overall tone of the book.
That said, I’m giving this four stars instead of five because I felt there were a few missing pieces that, if explored more deeply, could have elevated the story even further. Some moments felt slightly rushed, and there were emotional beats and character dynamics I would have loved to see expanded. A bit more depth in certain plot points or backstory could have added more weight to the overall journey.
Still, this book shines in its atmosphere and heart. It’s an easy, comforting read with genuine emotion and a female protagonist who is easy to root for. If you enjoy cozy romance, small-town settings, and stories centered around strong women finding their footing, this one is absolutely worth picking up. I finished it feeling warm, satisfied, and wishing I could linger in Wyoming just a little longer.
A beautiful, heartfelt Western romance that completely swept me away.
Wild Hearts in Wyoming was exactly the kind of comforting romance I needed. Autumn and Cole felt so real to me — two people carrying their own wounds, slowly learning to trust, and finding something gentle and steady in each other. Their connection doesn’t feel rushed or forced; it grows in this quiet, meaningful way that makes every moment between them feel earned. The Wyoming setting is one of my favorite parts. Ashley Tucker brings the small-town life, wide-open skies, and the warmth of a close-knit community to life so vividly that you almost feel like you’re right there with them. There’s something so grounding and peaceful about the way she writes the West.
What I loved most was how human this story feels. Nothing is overdone or dramatic for the sake of drama — just real people, real emotions, real healing, and a romance that feels like coming home. It’s sweet, steady, and beautifully told from beginning to end.
This book has the kind of heart that stays with you. I’m already excited for whatever Ashley writes next.
10 ⭐️ if I could give it. This book was so darn good. I loved the story and that’s exactly what it was…a story. A story of a young woman that moved back home to her family ranch to find herself. Nothing like having your past, past past and your future right in front of you. Autumn is one tough cowgirl. I love her story with Cole. He’s exactly what she needed and she exactly what he needed.
This sweet love story is a must read for anyone who loves a good cowboy romance. The author's pacing was good and the characters were easy to fall in love with.
Why not review my own book? Sure, I’m giving it 5 stars, but not because it’s perfect. Because I finished it. Because I put it out into the world. And because I believed in it enough to do it all on my own. I didn’t write this story for shock value. I wrote it for the girl who needed to believe in soft love again.
Truth is, I self-published Wild Hearts in Wyoming without a professional editor. So yes—there are a few repeated lines, a missed word here or there. First book problems, I know.
But here’s the thing: this story still holds heart. It’s real, raw, slow-burning cowboy romance written by a girl who wrangles words and is learning as she goes. And despite the bumps, readers are falling for these characters—and that makes every bit worth it.
I’ve learned a lot since hitting “publish,” and I promise the stories only get better from here. In fact… my current WIP? It’s got a crossover you won’t want to miss.
