He’s a man with a secret. She’s honest to a fault—and about to blow his cover. Alice Taylor is ready to leave her small-town life behind and start fresh. When the opportunity to work for billionaire Billy Baxter—who’s launching a professional soccer team—lands in her lap, she jumps at the chance.
Adventure, a new city, and a career? Yes, please.
Only Alice didn’t plan on Will.
Ridiculously sexy, effortlessly charming, and annoyingly professional, Will is her supervisor—the gatekeeper between Alice and her elusive boss. Trying to keep her focus on the job is hard enough, but resisting Will? Nearly impossible.
Sparks fly, office boundaries blur, and Alice finds herself head over heels in a relationship she’s not allowed to be in. What Alice doesn’t know is that behind Will’s witty smile and irresistible charm is a secret—one he’s guarded for years.

Alice Taylor Is More Than A Princess is a closed door, laugh out loud romcom. In this book expect off-page death of parents and a neglectful parent. Also expect swoony kisses, moments that will make you giggle, and a lovely happy ending--without any explicit scenes.
👑 Release Date: April 29, 2025 👑 . . . From the first moment I met Miss Alice Taylor—the precocious princess—in Levi Bailey Has Butterflies, I loved that little darling so much! So you can just imagine my excitement at getting a story ALL about Alice!! Let me tell you, her story starts off with a very “Alice” moment that will have you cracking up before the story has barely begun—which, I mean, is to be expected with the “princess” 🤭 Now Alice is done being called princess, but as you’ll soon see, that’s not an easy tiara to remove!
Alice has such a good heart—she’s constantly caring for others, even at her own detriment. She gave up going to vet school to move in with her birth mom, and ever since then, she’s been sacrificing things left and right for her. I was pretty annoyed by how demanding Alice’s mom was toward her, and by the fact that Alice kept doing whatever her mom asked. So, I was pretty happy when she finally stood her ground in the end.
The family values in the Bailey Brothers books are still so hardcore in Alice’s story, and I love it! The way the whole Bailey family stays so closely connected and always looks out for one another is just so incredibly inspiring and sweet! Getting to see the Bailey brothers as the older versions of themselves was such a fun experience, and I love the fact that at their cores, they’re still the exact same ☺️
Will wasn’t too impressed with Alice at first, but as per usual with Alice, she soon won him over with her charming personality. I loved watching their friendship develop through all of the many moments they spent together—whether it was picking out each other’s outfits or attending a soccer game together, each moment was better than the last! Watching Alice find the love of her life was not something I thought I’d ever be able to experience, but am I ever glad Jen wrote this book!
I didn’t really understand the strong dislike for Billy Baxter over a foolish mistake he made when he was sixteen. Like, he was young and dumb—we get it, so let’s move on 🤷🏻♀️ The blatant disrespect he faced on a daily basis was not something he should have put up with, in my opinion. . . . Thank you, Jen, for allowing me to read an arc of your new book 🧡
I adored this bonus novel all about Alice!! She is one of my favorite characters in the Another Bailey Brother series and seeing her all grown up and getting her own happily ever after was so much fun!
Alice is so easy to cheer for. She is loyal, hard working, kind, and trying to be a real adult. I loved seeing her connect so easily with so many people including Will. I loved her relationships with her uncles as an adult. I loved how much she cares about her work and about her people. Seeing the contrast between the love and support she gets from her Bailey family and the hurtful ways her mother treats her was surprisingly intense. Alice is always so happy and blunt as a child. Seeing her continue to be so happy (and definitely speak her mind) as an adult as she navigates her relationship with her mother was brilliant. I love Alice! And I loved seeing her fall in love with Will.
Will is such a fun MMC and perfect for Alice. He is generous, hard working and passionate. But he also has a big secret that Alice doesn't see for most of the book. I appreciated that Will wants to move forward after making some mistakes as a teen. He has suffered unimaginable sorrow with the death of his parents when he was so young. I was cheering for him and his redemptive arch from the first time we get inside his head. Seeing him fall for Alice was a delight. She brings out the best in him and I loved seeing him protect and spoil her. And the protective ways the uncles react to their relationship might be my favorite part of the whole novel.
Such a delightful addition to a fantastic series! I loved getting to know grown up Alice and see her fall in love. The soccer elements were so fun and I enjoyed seeing favorite characters from the series. Alice is the best!
I adored this book! I've grown to love the Bailey family, so reading Alice's story was such a fun experience. I loved her straightforward and honest ways, even when it got her in trouble. There were some funny moments and sweet moments. Overall, this book was a joy to read.
There are literally no words. Jen has left me speechless. Her talent really shines through in this cuteness of a book! She delivered in the best way for all of us Alice fans! Best book of the series, in my opinion!
Ever since {Insta} Family, I have been hoping and praying one day we would have an Alice book. The 5 yr old stole my heart and kept it throughout the entire series! And she came back with a bang!
I love 26 yr old Alice! She’s still the same Alice, but more grown up and honest to a fault! Her spunk and adorable personality just leaps off the page and you can’t help but love her. But we also see her struggles with her birth mom and need to help her. I loved all the depth we got with Alice.
When she gets the offer to help start and market a professional soccer team, she accepts the challenge. She quickly has to prove her worth around the “boy club” and boy, does she! She’s a powerhouse! And I loved that she did it effortlessly!
What she didn’t plan on was her boss, Will Henley. Oh, sweet Will!! Will is complicated in every sense of the word. He has secrets that he works hard to keep hidden. He doesn’t trust Alice at first, but in no time, he finds himself intrigued by her. He wants to know everything about Alice. He can’t get enough.
This story is full of SO many laugh out loud moments..seriously I was crying so hard at one point my family thought I’d lost it! The journey these two go on is incredible and moving. The romance was INSANE!! I literally couldn’t get enough of their banter and sweetness!
My only complaint is it ended too soon. The whole Bailey crew have become like family to me. I’m sure gonna miss this bunch!
Jen, you did it! You’re a pure genius, is what you are!!
What I Loved: ⚽️Toilet cleaning 🦒Honest Alice ⚽️Giraffe Princess Dress Bed 🦒No bed ⚽️Little Women + flowers 🦒Lime green pants ⚽️The soccer game 🦒Batman ⚽️Secret tattoo 🦒Texas (IYKYK) ⚽️The Fireworks 🦒Ruffle shirt and puffy pants ⚽️The Uncles’ video chat 🦒The list
This is the last book in the Bailey series. I highly recommend reading {Insta} Family, then the Bailey series before this. But seriously, this series is the best so it’s a no-brainer!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Oh, Alice Taylor! You are definitely more than a princess!! You are sweet, kind, funny, compassionate, smart, a hard worker, an amazing daughter, aunt, sister, granddaughter, and friend!
This book was everything I hoped Alice would be and more! After falling in love with this little spitfire in The Bailey Brothers series, I was SO hoping Alice would get her own story when she was all grown up—and she did!
I loved so many things about this book! It was fun to see Alice all grown up and trying to find her own way with a new job, in a new city, in her own apartment with a new boss and coworkers. Will was just so likable, despite his secrets. He had such kind and giving heart and I loved how he spoiled Alice via Billy to make sure she had what she needed! I loved seeing all the Bailey brothers as dads and Alice’s best friends. I loved the compassion Alice showed toward Billy despite his mistakes and that she then offered the same grace to Will!
Favorite quotes:
“The hardest part about having children, Alice, is that you love them so fiercely, knowing that one day they’ll grow up and leave you to do their own thing. And yet, as parents, that’s exactly what we want for them.”
“My mouth will not stay shut—it’s the Alice Taylor curse.”
“I should probably explain myself rather than rate Will’s shoulders on the Taylor girls’ scale of sexiness.”
“And then, Will Henley—shirtless and wet, his dark hair dripping, and a toothbrush hanging from his mouth—opens the door. I am face to face with abs. Abs and pecs and shoulders galore.”
“Cutting the pants off of a good-looking man who smells like laundry day and gives sweet old ladies gifts means nothing.”
From the opening scene to the final page, I was drawn into this book entirely. Alice Taylor is the spunky and sweet niece seen throughout the Bailey Brothers series and now she’s all grown up, ready for her story to unfold. I loved seeing her as an adult–she’s still vivacious, but she’s also very kind, honest, unforgettable, capable, and has the ability to view the bigger picture and all the hidden things…to see things in a fresh, new light. I absolutely adored her and her purple monstrosity, giant stuffed giraffe, toilet cleaning comparisons, relationship with family, and former affinity with princesses.
With a new job opportunity and a move, Will enters the scene–an illustrious, charming, gorgeous man who is knocked off his feet by this sparkling new employee that he didn’t even know he had. I think I fell head-over-heels for him right along with Alice.
Jen Atkinson delighted me with vivid dialogue and interactions, as well as with a story stuffed with the swoon and chemistry of a forbidden love, many laughs, those “awwww” moments, and a big secret.
This book is everything I hoped it would be…and more. The sweet messages found within these pages of setting boundaries, allowing others in, rising above the past, trusting people including oneself, and finding joy in the big and small things, are simply satisfying.
Content: off-page death of parents; neglectful parent; mild romance (lots of swoon and kisses)
*I received a complimentary copy. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own and were voluntarily given*
To the untrained eye, Alice Taylor might give off the impression her life is perfect. However, upon further examination it is evident it is far from it. Choosing to view the world through optimistic lenses, Alice has found a way to thrive in circumstances that could have easily killed her spirit. After moving hundreds of miles away from everything and everyone she has known and loved, she bravely accepts a job working in a field she knows nothing about (professional soccer). Will her new setting prove once and for all she is not a spoiled princess, rather a diligent and dedicated worker, or will her limited knowledge be too much for her to overcome?
Alice Taylor Is More Than A Princess is the fifth book in Jen Atkinson’s Another Bailey Brother Series. Despite not being a Bailey brother, rather the niece of said men, she was a fan favorite and thus given her own book. Fans of the series will recall Alice was first introduced early on. Thankfully, you do not have to be a long time reader to follow this story. Atkinson wrote every book as standalone novels that can be both enjoyed collectively or individually.
As a recent fan of Atkinson’s series, I have only read the book prior to Alice’s. While my time with the family has been limited I immediately connected with the spunky, honest to a fault niece. Her unique relationships with everyone in the family made it obvious that she is the center of their universe.
While I immediately connected with Alice for the bright light that she is, I appreciated the character arc Atkinson took her on. At the beginning of her story Atkinson introduces Alice as a paradox. Being a child of divorce she has felt both supportive and unconditional love (Taylors/ Baileys), while also deprived of maternal care. Getting to see the sad side of Alice reinforced how complicated her life truly is. Therefore witnessing her come into her own as an adult was that much more inspirational. I loved the boundaries she instituted to insure she became as self-reliant as possible. She proves that princesses don’t always need rescuing!
If you are looking for an uplifting, female drive romantic comedy to sweep you away this long weekend, look no further than Alice Taylor Is More Than A Princess. This book is guaranteed to leave you feeling empowered.
Special thanks to Jen Atkinson for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.
Alice Taylor IS MORE THAN A PRINCESS (Another Bailey Brother #5) by: Jen Atkinson @authorjenatkinson
-I give 5 stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Do whatever makes you happy, sweet girl.”
~He’s a man with a secret. She’s honest to a fault-and about to blow his cover…
“No one’s living in the same world. We all have our struggles.”
-Alice Taylor IS MORE THAN A PRINCESS, is a delightful closed door, laugh out loud romcom, filled with swoony kisses, moments that will make you giggle, real life issues, depth, sparks of chemistry, and a lovely happy ending—without any explicit scenes. Simply an adorable story worth the read, my friends! If you haven’t read this series you simply need to because each one is so good. This sweet story is an extra bonus because it includes dear Alice, who has been in each story, that deserved her own sweet HEA. I am so glad she has one! This dear love story within is weaved lovingly together with individual stories of growth and persistence. It is wonderfully balanced with such heart, humor, and tenderness. It’s a story with small and large grand gestures that will have your heart happily sighing along the way. I love how this story beautifully emphasizes the beauty in being one’s self, letting others in, being more forgiving, being more kind, standing ground for what’s right, and in seeing the best in others. There is great joy in belonging and happiness to be enjoyed with this dear story. It is worth the happy read! 🙌🏻📚🩷
“In the heart of forgiveness, compassion blooms, and together, we can grow stronger.”
•Content: Off-page death of parents, a neglectful parent, mentioning of champagne to celebrate.
“No amount of money, no tragic past, no title or authority can change that. You fit here, next to me.”
-I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
Thank you to @authorjenatkinson for the #gifted e-book.
I’m so thrilled Jen Atkinson decided to gift us with one more Bailey Family book! Alice Taylor is More Than a Princess was an absolute delight, full of everything I love about this series — the warmth, the humor, and of course, the big, happy Bailey family coming back together in the best way.
Alice, now grown up but still very much the vibrant, hilarious spirit we met at seven years old, is such a breath of fresh air. She’s funny, chaotic in the best way, and endlessly entertaining — whether it’s her unconventional living situation (no bed!) or her quick wit.
The romance was perfectly sweet and swoony — a closed-door, opposites-attract, age-gap, workplace love story wrapped up in a soccer romcom setting with a fun hidden identity twist. I loved the coming-of-age journey Alice goes through too, figuring out her place in the world while still holding onto her one-of-a-kind personality.
Cameos from other Baileys were the cherry on top — it felt like a big, joyous family reunion. If you loved the Bailey Family series, this one will leave your heart full and a giant smile on your face. Highly recommend!
I have loved Alice Taylor since the beginning of the Bailey brother books. It was so exciting to see her grown up and getting her own book.
She’s 26 years old now and loving with her narcissistic mother. When she moves to LA with her boyfriend, Alice finally has time for herself. She takes a new job working for the billionaire recluse Billy Baxter. She works closely with his executive assistant, Will, until soon they start to have feelings for each other.
This is told in dual POV, which is so necessary. We needed to hear Will’s POV. He is such a great character and book boyfriend. I love the twist. Alice is still awesome. She has some of the best word vomit. LOL
This is a sweet, kissing only romance. It was great to see the Bailey family, too.
Thank you to the author for an advanced readers copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Oh, this girl. Have you read Jen Atkinson's books? I've read almost every thing she's published and they are all all the good things. And Will and Alice 🤌🏻🤌🏻
If you like workplace, billionaires, the Baileys, soccer, Alice Taylor, and anything else Jen has written, bump this baby to the top of your list. Because it's dreamy.
ETA: I just had Alexa read my a chunk of it off Kindle Unlimited and my kitchen has never looked better. (I should've cleaned my bathroom-iykyk-missed opportunity)
I have loved Alice since Levi and Meredith’s story. She says things as she sees them and is a breath of fresh air. Will is also an amazing character. He has a reason to keep parts of his life secret which has worked until he falls for Alice. I found Will’s perception of Alice so funny at the start.
Things I loved about this book: - Alice’s bluntness and how she just told the truth. -the group chats with the Bailey uncles -Alice learning to stand up for herself -Will trying to do everything he can for Alice without overstepping.
Favorite Quotes: I feel like a man coming up for air after not even knowing I needed to breathe. Not until I had. I need Alice. She is my air. She is my breath. And everything in me craves her touch.
As a very young person, I had a front-row seat to so many relationships forming. My dad and Coco. Uncle Levi and Meredith. Uncle Owen and Annie. Uncle Miles and Delaney. Uncle Cooper and Leah. I was young, but I was also observant. And helpful. Would any of those couples be together without me? Doubtful. The point is, I know love when I see it.
I’d been so stagnant without even realizing it.” “I wouldn’t say stagnant,” he says, reaching for my hand. How have I lived so long without this hand in mine? “You didn’t know any different. You were working. You’d gone to school. It’s not as if you were sitting at home, lazy.” “No.” I nibble on my lip. “But I certainly wasn’t living life to the fullest.” “And now you are?” he says, brows lifting. “I think so.” Will lifts my hand to his mouth and presses a soft kiss to my fingers. J-E-L-L-O.
I say this every time, but this—THIS is my favorite Bailey book! I have adored Alice since I first met her and I’m so happy she finally gets to tell her story.
Secrets abound in Tesoro. Well, actually just two, but they’re huge! And watching Alice put the pieces together was a riot.
Will isn’t sure she’s the best fit for the marketing team, but once she shows up and gets to work it doesn’t take long for him to change his mind.
I love everything about this story, and it caps off one of my favorite series. Get to know the Bailey brothers, the extended family, and see Alice all grown up and sassy as ever!
Alice Taylor is More Than a Princess is the fifth book in the Another Bailey Brother series. While you might be able to enjoy this one as a standalone, I definitely think those who have read the previous books and remember Alice's character are going to appreciate this one most.
If you've read the other Bailey Brothers books, there's a good chance that you remember Alice's character from those books-- she was just a kid then but added so much to each story. And now, she's all grown up and it's time for her own love story... and boy, what a story it was! First of all, talk about a way to open up a story... I found myself laughing right away and we can definitely tell right from the start that Alice + secrets are not a great much... which is super inconvenient when she finds herself falling for her supervisor who is keeping a very BIG secret himself. While we as readers do find out pretty early on what that secret is... my lips are sealed! Trust me though, you're going to want to read this one for yourself to find out! There were so many laugh out loud moments that kept me smiling right through to the end... while still taking on a few tougher topics in the midst of it as well. I absolutely adored both Alice and Will's characters, and the two of them together? Even better. It was the perfect addition to this series and one I didn't know I needed, but absolutely didn't disappoint!
Alice Taylor is More Than a Princess is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.
This is the perfect final installment of the Bailey brothers series (though Alice isn't technically a Bailey or a brother), as well as a perfect transition to Jen's next series. It was so fun to get this look into Alice's adult life and Will is so very good.
Alice is hyper-honest (maybe to a fault), hard-working, and compassionate. She supports and defends the people she loves, and I love how this book is all about her growing independence as an adult away from the support of her family. I also love the growth she has in her relationship with her mother, who is the definition of a narcisist. Will, on the other hand, is living with his very identity as a secret, so lying is as natural as breathing for him. But don't let that fool you, he is kind, generous, and selfless. The way he learns to give himself love, grace, and forgiveness after getting those very things from Alice is so sweet.
These opposites attract so wonderfully. They start off on the wrong foot (I'll never dislike a little enemies to lovers vibe), and then become friends who are vulnerable and supportive of one another. They attempt to hide their growing feelings as dating is against company rules, but that quickly changes as they can't stay away from each other. And their chemistry is simply delicious.
Getting to interact with the Bailey family is always a blast. They are by far one of my favorite fictional families so it's so fun to get to see them in this jump in time. And the setup for the soccer team series is so exciting. Soccer is my favorite sport, so I adore the idea of a romcom series about soccer players.
Thank you so much, Jen, for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book is one of my favorites and cannot wait for the Red Tails series! All opinions are my own.
After reading the Bailey Brother’s series I was so excited to see little Alice grow up and get her own story. From her first appearance in Insta Family she stole our hearts. Alice Taylor is More Than a Princess was just the story we all needed and it delivered in every way possible!
Alice may be all grown up now but I could immediately see deep down that she is still the girl we had all come to love. She's honest and isn’t afraid to speak her mind; saying whatever she thinks. She is also so positive and determined. When the opportunity presents itself Alice decides to move away from home to work for billionaire Billy Baxter, who is launching a professional soccer team and needs help with the marketing of it. Although Billy is her boss, none of the employees have ever met him, and all work must go through her handsome supervisor Will. Will seems to be unsure about Alice and if she is right for the job, but things change quickly when he falls for Alice’s charm. She is just the friend he needs, but Will doesn’t trust easily and can’t seem to share the secret he has kept for years.
This book was just perfect. I like how Will and Alice’s relationship builds naturally from where they started to one of respect and friendship. I loved their heartwarming talks that helped them grow closer and all the banter and chemistry they had. This story was so swoony and oh those kisses! So so good! It was also so great to see all The Baileys again! This is one of the best fictional families I have ever read about. They are all so real and alive and their love for each other shines through. I especially loved Alice's text group chat with her uncles and the relationship they all have together. The way her uncles look out for Alice just melted my heart. I need to mention the Jet cameo as well! Insta Connection was one of my favorite books and I almost screamed when we got more time with Jet in this book. I just love him! I definitely knew I would love the book but I have to say I loved this one even more than I expected to. If you enjoy a good workplace romance and a hidden identity story grab this one. You won’t be disappointed.
This book can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend starting with the Insta Love series, then jumping into the Bailey Brother series reading them all in order. Trust me you don’t want to miss a minute of this goodness.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Dearest Jen Atkinson, I think you have created my favorite character ever. I have sung Atkinson’s phrases many times. I love her writing, I love her characters. I would read anything she writes, but there is nobody like Alice. I have a small secret, I was slightly worried to read this book, only because how could Atkinson write her as a grown woman, and stay true to the darling, brutally honest Alice I grew to love? What was I worried about? Alice will always be Alice and I had nothing to fear. If anything, I love Alice even more.
This book is a secret identity, forbidden romance, work place romance, forced proximity (and more!) gold mine. I laughed, I smiled, I cheered, I swooned and I loved this book so much. The way the author showed the reader the things Alice went through with her mom, and the way marketing made Alice shine was so well done. Alice’s growth and charm were fun to read. Her wit and honest way of speaking to others never disappoints. I enjoyed how Alice was able to chink away at Will and how he was wanting more. I really enjoyed the dual POV for that reason.
This truly is a favorite series of mine and they’re stand-alone! This book is the last, but I would recommend each one, just so you can know how well Atkinson writes the forever favorite Bailey and Taylor families.
I received a gifted eARC from the author. All views are my own.
What an absolutely delightful story! It was great to catch up with Alice's extended family if you've read the earlier stories, however, even if you haven't read the earlier books, you can still enjoy this one. And I definitely recommend trying the audio book. The narrators did a fantastic job and brought this story to life so well.
The chemistry and sweet relationship that develops between Will and Alice made my heart so happy. Yet, not all was completely smooth. The fact that Alice is unable to be untruthful and Will has a big secret, made for a huge hurdle for them to overcome. I loved the way things played out for this entire scenario. Lots of humor but also lots of heart.
The author did a great job of showing that while Alice has a truly wonderful support system in her dad, stepmom, and uncles, aunts, and cousins, she also has a mother who is selfish and uncaring toward her. It was hard to see how her mom treated her. Will also had a painful backstory and I loved the empathy and understanding that Alice was able to offer him.
This book was truly wonderful and is my favorite of the series (but, of course, I do still need to read Cooper's book to completely finish out the set).
**Advanced Reader Review, all opinions are my own. **
From the minute I read about the gregarious little girl walking into Uncle Levi’s bike shop I was a fan. Alice has been a character I have throughly enjoyed reading as she has developed in the background of her Uncle’s and their love stories.
From her charismatic personality filled football captain retorts, her blunt advice for Annie, her unfettered emotional response to Miles’ marriage, and her insistence that Uncle Coop is her best friend…Alice has been the cherry on top of each Bailey family sundae…and it was time for her own story. — After an embarrassing performance as a bridesmaid where her public objection was ignored but shouldn’t have been…Alice is approached by a high school friend that she hasn’t seen in ages…and yet offers her a job.
I’m just going to say it. Jen might have a thing for people being stuck in clothing. 😂😂😂 Or maybe it’s just a Bailey family thing. Whatever the case, Jen writes some hilarious scenes and this book has many. I know all the Bailey fans are ecstatic over getting to read Alice’s story. Thank you, Jen!!!!❤️❤️❤️
The darling, precocious Alice, who assisted at a very young age in nurturing all the Bailey romances, is now grown up, and to go with her spunky charm and blatant honesty, she has developed a sweet vulnerability and compassion. Uncles Levi, Owen, Miles, and Cooper are now very invested in her love life. Alice doesn’t make things simple. She moves away from home and gets into a forbidden workplace romance with her elusive boss’s right-hand man.
Will. Darling Will. He wants to be grumpy when sunshiney Alice moves into the apartment across from him, but darn it, she’s just too easy to like. She also needs some help, and she’s too independent to accept help from him, so he has to find creative ways to help at the same time he’s trying to figure out how to get rid of her. They become neighborly, and well, this IS a love story.
I love how Alice collects flowers to remember significant moments in her life and presses them in the pages of Little Women where her story is similar to theirs. I love her competence in her new job and her positivity in the face of a few real challenges. I love Will’s kind heart. It is sweet watching him deal with his emotional insecurities while he’s falling hard for Alice and trying to stay professional, sort of. I loved the little walks down memory lane in the Bailey series.
Alice and Will’s story is fresh and fun! I think what I love most is how well Jen has written a grown-up version of the Alice we all fell in love with. Alice is absolutely an adult now but little Alice is still in there. It really is so good.
This is the 5th in the Bailey Brothers series. It can be read alone, but of course I’m recommending you read all the Bailey brothers stories. Do it for Alice.
I first met Alice in Cooper Bailey’s book and just loved her so much and she finally has her own story and it was sooo goooodd!!!!! I loved the dynamics she had with Will and I love her spunk and honesty and I just love her. I want to be her when I grow up!!
I received an advanced copy and these are my honest thoughts
this book was very cute and sweet. There's a theme of truth vs. lies. Speaking of lies, it seems pretty incredible that no one catches onto the major secret in the book. I felt like I had to suspend belief for that, but you know, this is supposed to be a light romcom, and if I had to believe that no one would catch on, I could do that.
Alice Taylor got her own book! After loving her in the Bailey brothers’ books, then going back and reading Insta Family where Alice was first introduced, I was so excited to finally read her story. Fun connecting with all the previous characters and meeting some fun, new ones as well. Super sweet romcom!
Thanks to Jen Atkinson for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for Alice Taylor is More Than a Princess to come out April 29, 2025.
Oh.My.Goodness. Alice is grown up and I LOVED her book! I didn't think I would love it as much as I did, but this *might* be my favorite Bailey Brothers book! I loved the cameos of the Bailey Brothers as well as Jet from the Insta series. I love when authors take the time to connect their worlds.
I loved Will!! He was so resistant to Alice coming and working for the soccer team with zero knowledge. But him quickly seeing her personality, honesty, and determination helped change his perception of her.
@authorjenatkinson always writes the best scenes! Some of my favorites: 👰♀️ Bridesmaid scene 🧳 Arriving at the new apartment 🚽 Cleaning toilet metaphor ✈️ Explaining how she knows Jet 👗 Clothes shopping in Denver 🛏️ The beds
Absolutely loved this one! Thoroughly enjoyed an entire book of Alice and her forthright honesty! She is the very best of ‘what you see is what you get’. I adored her & Will together!
Cute. Straightforward. Rom com plot line. I should have started with the beginning of the series—seems like I was supposed to start out with emotional investment. First chapter was the best of the book.
I love the Bailey Brothers series and I’m so glad we got Alice’s story! Alice and Will’s story was full of chemistry, swoon, and personal growth. Alice’s personality is so lovable! I listened to the audiobook and the performance was SO FITTING to the characters!
What I loved: Just Alice No bed Opposites attract Secret identity The shopping trip Workplace romance Batman Of course the uncles Found family
If you haven’t started the series, what are you waiting for? LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this family!
4⭐️ ARC Review: We asked and Jen gave! Alice played a large role in the Bailey Brothers series, and everyone who read those books wanted Alice to have her own story. And we got what we all wanted!
It was so much fun! Alice is the most enjoyable FMC ever. She and I would be besties. Her honesty and forthrightness was a breath of fresh air in a romance book. We love an open and honest woman! No miscommunication from her! She helps Will loosen up and I loved their resulting relationship. They are opposites in every sense of the word, so their dynamic was so fun.
I enjoyed the plot, the pace, the protective Bailey family cameos, and of course, Alice and Will. I wouldn't be disappointed if there were more books in this series.

The Baileys are back! Especially a grown up Alice. This is her story. She is 26, has a little feisty streak, (no surprise as we know how she was a young girl) and is honest to a fault. She has been called 'Princess" by her uncles who she considers her best friends, and she has sacrificed a lot to take care of her birth-mother. She is loyal, maybe a little naive, very positive, and just fine with who she is.
When she gets a chance to move and work for a billionaire who is starting up a new soccer team she hesitates. But is it time for her to go out on her own and see what she can really do in the real world?
"The hardest part about having children, Alice, is that you love them so fiercely, knowing that one day they'll grow up and leave you to do their own thing. And yet, as parents, that's exactly what we want for them. I want you to be happy. So, do whatever makes you happy, sweet girl. "
Oh, isn't that the truth?!? Jen Atkinson says things with just the right amount of heart to draw you in, and so much happiness to get you through the hard parts of life.
"Little Women is all about family-- maybe that's why I like pressing my flowers in its pages. There's nothing more important to me than all the people I just left behind. This magnolia is the first flower marking this new adventure of mine."
I love a book with books in it. The fact that she presses flowers in chapters to commemorate special moments is sweet. It's so Alice.
As she starts out on a new adventure and career she meets all kinds of new people, one of them a handsome boss who is not her favorite person. Yet. Their initial meeting wasn't what you'd call a meet cute. Or their second meeting. But they do get to spend a lot of time together as they are neighbors as well as co-workers, and start to see different sides to each other.
This book is the final book in the Bailey Family series. While it can be read as a stand alone, I would suggest you get to know the entire family through the other books. I still want to be their neighbors. They are very normal people with a lot of love and laughter. The entire series is just fantastic.
This one has so much to love; opposites attract, dual POV, forbidden office romance, billionaire MMC, hidden identity, forced proximity, a grand gesture, and soccer. If you don't like or know soccer, it's okay, neither did Alice. Oh, and there is a shopping trip that will make you laugh out loud.
"Money doesn't make you good or bad, but it can enhance those qualities."
"People always think that money will solve their problems. But I'm a testament that is causes just as many as it solves."
"In the heart of forgiveness, compassion blooms and together, we can grow stronger." Grandma Lucy
"The point is, I know love when I see it. At least I think I do. It's so much more complicated when it's happening to you. When it's a secret. Love is a beautiful word- but becomes scary when it involved your own heart."
I would not hesitate to recommend this book, or any book by the author to anyone. They are clean, have so much humor, a lot of depth and real life struggles, and lots of happily ever after.
I did receive a copy of the story from the author for my review.
⚽️💚Alice Taylor Is More Than A Princess by Jen Atkinson
⚽️💚Favorite Quote💚⚽️ I feel like a man coming up for air after not even knowing I needed to breathe. Not until I had. I need Alice. She is my air. She is my breath. And everything in me craves her touch.
“Ninety-eight percent!” York says from out of nowhere. What is the kid even talking about? “I want you to say in a deep voice for me, I am Batman. Let me get my phone out—“ “Yeah, I don’t think so,” Will says. “Dude. Come on!”
“When you come to visit,” York says, “bring Batman.” “Excuse me?” Coco says. “Did you have too much sugar yesterday?” He holds out a fist to Will who bumps his hand with my brother’s. “See you, sis! Later, Batman,” York calls as he heads off to the car.
Love is this beautiful word—but it becomes scary when it involves your own heart.
How have I lived so long without this hand in mine?
He presses another kiss to my head. “Hey,” I say, peering up at him. “You weren’t a forward, were you?” He smirks, not quite understanding the meaning. “You missed the goal.” I trace an X over my lips.
He is joy in its sweetest form.
I want to sit next to her. I want to breathe her in and feel the energy of her light and positivity. I want to love her until my dying days.
“Please don’t give Will too hard of a time. He’s perfectly wonderful and I like him. A lot.” “How much is a lot?” Levi says, brows furrowing. Alice cups her mouth. “I’m keeping him forever. So be nice.”
⚽️💚My Thoughts💚⚽️ Another book in the Another Bailey Brother series but this one is about their niece Alice Taylor and she has been called a princess by her family her whole life. Now starting a new job marketing for billionaire Will Baxter and the soccer team he bought she’s thrust into a working environment that is mostly men and starts getting called princess at the office too. She’s determined to learn everything about soccer and that she can hang with the boys too and prove that she is more than the princess they think she is.
I absolutely loved this book as much as all the other Bailey books. Alice is so sweet and cannot lie for anything which proved to be so funny! I loved Will despite his secrets he was so kind and had such a giving heart!
Some of my favorite moments in the book include: the whole scene with York in Will’s apartment and him calling him Batman, the text group with all the Bailey brothers, when she FaceTimed them all my accident and talked about Will’s “Texas shaped mole”, Will’s I Am Iron Man moment if you seen the first Iron Man movie you know what I’m talking about.
There are just so many incredible parts to this book and I was laughing so much, cheering Alice on when she stood up for herself and was so proud of her when she refused to be used anymore! She is definitely way more than a princess and y’all must absolutely read this book to find out just how much more.
