aaah reading the novel after the manhwa made the story even better! I love this omegaverse and the story as a whole. the action scenes were well executed, the steamy scenes are even better as they are more detailed and longer than in the manhwa and the storyline flowed perfectly. felix and isaac chemistry was insane I’m obsessed with them both. I can’t get over how badly felix wants isaac after their first meeting and how his whole demeanour changes just for him.

even though I read the manhwa a couple years back (s1 only), I was still shocked when finding out about isaac’s real identity because I completely forgot his relations to cole. can’t believe volume 1 ended earlier than the manhwa, I need volume 2 to hurry up since I’ve only read up to when isaac’s tells felix he’s benjamin’s father.

Man I enjoyed this so much. The getting together moment at the very beginning of the novel almost turned me away but I'm so glad I listened to people when they said the wait for their relationship is worth it. I loved how their relationship changed throughout the story. I love seeing cool, strong, and masculine omegas so I was thrilled to see Issac. He was a great character and ended up being way cooler than Felix could ever hope to be. Speaking of, I loved Felix so much. He was so hilarious and especially all of his interactions with his bodyguards. Genuinely I didnt realize this book would be so funny. You know funny scenes are well written when they still have people who didn't even read the scene laughing hysterically. I also love a kind of bad character thinking they are in a relationship when they actually don't know how to do relationships so the other party thinks they are in a loveless arrangement and nothing more. Gotta be my favorite niche genre. Benjamin was also the sun and stars and so cute. I hope we see even more of him in book 2 because I loved him so much especially his hilarious interactions with Felix. Overall honestly 10/10 action and just overall adventure. Can't wait for the next book.

This ended on such a good cliff hanger, ugh. The beginning felt cheesy with the chance encounter, but after getting all the backstory and some mysteries solved...I cannot wait to see shit hit the fan in volume two. Also, the included nsfw images had me shooketh. Warn a sister next time before she reads this in public, please and thanks.

As "toxic" as both characters might be in some ways, I do think they mesh well together and hope some fluffy moments are awaiting us.

I don't know if I can wait until December 2025, so I might have to go buy/read the manhwa while I wait.

4.5 rounded up - Really enjoyed this story! I loved the first season more, but it turns out the original artist (not the writer) was some kind of sex pest and fired by the author, so…bloop. I wish there were side stories though!
