My name is Morgan Sinclare. My father is a United States Senator. He’s kept me locked away for most of my life in private all-girl schools, in our home. But I just heard what he has planned for me. He’s sold my hand to the highest bidder. I’m supposed to marry one of his friends, someone twice my age. I’m biding my time, acting like the giddy bride-to-be, like the dutiful daughter.
We are to elope as soon as possible to seal the deal. I acted devastated that I wouldn’t get my dream wedding, so they’re letting me choose the honeymoon location. I’ve always heard that Las Vegas is a magical place. And I think it’s time I disappear....
SIN is part of a serial series. A new part will release each month varying in length from 15-25,000 words. It is comparable to episodes in a television show, with the next part taking off where the previous part ended.
Intended for readers ages 18+ due to language and adult situations.
RONE Award-winning author Casey Bond lives on a rural farm in West Virginia with her husband and their two beautiful daughters. She writes phoenixes – gloriously flawed and morally gray characters that fiercely rise from the ashes of their circumstances.
Worldbuilding is one of her favorite pastimes. She thinks thunderstorms are better than coffee and that watching a meteor shower is the closest thing to magic you might ever see. She’s a firm believer that every amazing book needs a world you want to wrap yourself in, a character you want to win, and a love you would fight for.
Casey is the author of When Wishes Bleed, Gravebriar, House of Eclipses, and Where Oceans Burn.
Part 1: I liked this little start, didn't see that coming.. Some part were things you just saw coming, but others not. It was fun and it stopped at a moment with not exactly a cliffy.. But it still held your attention.
Part 2: This was so confusing.. Lots of questions little to no answers.. The commend from Shane was a bit on the "Oh hell no" side. I really like Brooke, Riley is fun too. It has a bit of sexual tension..
Part 3: This part had funny moments. I have my suspicion of who Johnny is. But yet to meet him. Maybe in part 4? Probably!
Part 4: I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!! And the other things I didn't expected..
Part 5: It was eventfull and a good journey. Although it wasn't completely my fun time..
To be honest I thought it would be quite a sexy read, but that department wasn't mentioned.. Not that it needed but I thought it would be.
Song Choice: "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor (because im evil and its funny), "I Will Possess Your Heart" by Death Cab for Cutie
Warning: this is a serial series, meaning each book is short, and this is part one I realize that Casey has finished the serial and it is now in one collection, but I think I am going to try to read them as they were written ^.^
First thoughts: Wow this was fast, hooked me right off the bat and now I am debating on cutting this review short just so i can read the next part because omigod. ;)
Thoughts on Plot: I really liked the idea of this serial to begin with, it seemed suspenseful and delightful. I will admit that while I was questioning somethings I was so wrapped up in the story that was being told I didn't really care. I took this as it was, a piece of fiction, I really enjoyed it and I can't wait to see what happens next, if you couldn't tell ;)
Characters:
Morgan (aka Sin): She is a brave girl who is about to get a crash course on life, sheltered for all her life she is about to jump into the real world to run from her captor - her new captor. I think she was amazing and a fun character I can't wait to see more from her.
Shane: First thoughts: DAMN THIS MAN IS GOING TO BE HOT. First Reactions: Ohhhh yeahhhhh he is. Conclusions: YES i was correct he is hot and damn i cannot wait to see more of this nommie MMA fighter with tribal tatts and gray eyes SIGN ME UP
Well, I purchased this book based on the reviews and ratings of others. This to me felt like an incomplete book, so much missing. It would be fair to say I seriously disliked this one and disliked even more parting with my money to get it. So much background missing that I felt it difficult to engage with the characters. To be honest I read a lot and I am usually simpatico with the authors who put so much effort into their work, but I just cannot see how people purchased, and continued to purchase, 40-45 page instalments for so little story. The kicker? At the end the author encourages you to visit her blog to find out a missing piece of the story - what was in Shane's room. That really ticked me off. Hadn't I just purchased a full book? Well, fool me, I did visit the blog and searched through her website, which iwas certainlythe intent of the author, and couldn't find it. Fool me once...
Warning: This is the final installment of the Sin Serial there will probably be spoilers from the first four ;)
This review is going to be different from my normal format because this is a little different, I will writer an over all review that will be more like more "normal" reviews ^.^ on the collection page
I am infatuated with Casey L. Bond, she is a master with words, characters, and stories that not only threaten, but promise to keep you hooked until the very last page and still begging for more. I ate these serials up like candy and I am a candy-holic, its a problem. I am not usually one who reads contemporary fiction because i have a preference towards paranormal, but my - oh - my its books/authors like these that make me willing to try it out.
So the final installment, I went into this thinking, alright pretty much everything is wrapped up, what are you going to show me Casey Bond, well while I knew who Johnny was the rest of this talk about plot twist!
This was a thrilling, and beautiful and wonderful ending for such an amazing serial. I enjoyed every moment of it, and I could get the next part fast enough, literally ;) i almost bought part three two times because it wasn't downloading fast enough ;) I highly enjoyed this
We left off with a part one with a pretty intense cliffy didn't we? Very bad people are coming *cue in Jaws music* So this part was moving fast, with adrenaline going wondering what is in this sexy MMA fighters past? Not to mention that Morgan is now married even though that is what she was trying to avoid, well that and the man ;) The sexual tension mixed with the anticipation of what is going to happen next, it had you on the edge of your seat and demanding moreeeeee ;)
I loved this book! I love this series! Actually I love all of Casey's books, but who's counting right!?
After finding out what has happened with Sin, Shane feels even worse about the situation that she was dragged into. I love the dynamics between the two of them. I wanted to punch Jerkstice in the face a time or two because of his attitude and behavior but that just makes for a good emotional connection to the book. I'm ready to know what happens next, and I want to find out who Autumn is.
We are purposed a very dangerous question, while Shane is a little (a lot) hot and cold, obviously he is feeling something for Morgan aka Sin, so what are all these skeletons in his closet, and who is this mysterious new girl? Hmmm, well sit back and enjoy the ride kiddie cats, we are about to get some action *wink wink*
If ya know what i mean hahaha alright anyways this keeps up with the amazing pace of part two and keeps you on your seat with just needing to know what will happen next. I blew right through this part and started part four in felt like seconds flat
did i mention i was addcited? Warning: This is PART FOUR of the Sin Series
Warning-ish #2: This isn't my normal format for reviewing you can check out my entire thoughts on this serial on this page: Sin, The Complete Collection Parts 1-5
GAAAHHHH SO GOOD, this is what you were waiting for, the fight is here, and the time to play has begun, have you figured out who Johnny is yet? I totally did but i needed to know I was right *whispers* i totally was ;)
but MORE SHOCKS, TWIST AND TURNS awaits you dear reader! my heart was racing through this part, i couldn't read it fast enough and all I can say is that yeah i am sort of glad I waited until all these were out otherwise i might have cried XD hahaha I totally loved this part, it was probably my favorite, it was filled with action, suspense, rrrrommmance ;) hehehe
"Sin: The Entire Serial Series" by Casey L. Bond is incredible! I am so in love with Shustice (Shane Justice"!
Morgan, the overprotected Senator's daughter, is sold to a friend of her father in marriage for half a million dollars. Pretending that she was all for it, she convinces Jonathan to take her to Vegas for the wedding and honeymoon, where she proceeds to runaway from him while he's at his bachelor party. She succeeds in disappearing only to end up in another situation, one that involves the sexy brooding Shane Justice, MMA fighter.
This book has a great cast of characters and I love how it takes us into a little of the MMA and burlesque shows on the strip of Las Vegas without losing its main focus on Morgan and Shane's relationship.
What is not to love about Sin part 2!!!! This continuation of part 1 pick up right where it ended and leaves you wanting. More. I love the dynamic between Shane and Morgan and can not wait to see what happens next. Casey does an amazing job with pulling everything together including the cover and the choice of name of the book. Part 3 can not get in my hands soon enough <3
Great job Casey you have me hooked... I need Part 2, NOW.. This Series is going to be Scorching Hot.. I seriously was not expecting the cliffhanger ending.. Can't wait to See what happens next with Morgan and Shane!! Bring on Part 2... I will be waiting Impatiently for the next few weeks...
We meet Morgan on her way to Vegas to get married to a man she neither likes nor loves. She has a plan, she’s going to run after all Vegas is huge he’ll never find her there.
The story quickly draws you into Morgan’s new life, it’s one full of new people and experiences with sine laugh out loud moments along the way. Morgan is not street wise at all, she’s been kept sheltered by her father so everything Is new and exciting.
Along the way she meets Shane an MMA fighter, trouble never seems very far away from him and he has a secret. They have what I would call a volatile fiery passionate relationship.
The story ends not on a cliffhanger but sets the story nicely up for part two.
With a name like the Sin series, you'd expect this to be an erotic serial, but it's not. Sin is actually the nickname of our main character, Morgan Sinclare.....well it is after she meets Shane. Well it looks like I'm getting ahead of myself.....
Morgan Sinclare's father is a US Senator. Since her mother passed away, Morgan's father has been less than ideal. At first he just ignored her and shipped her off to a private school never letting her come home (even on holidays), but then he did the unthinkable. He set her up to elope with one of his friends in exchange for $500,000. Not just any friend either, Jonathon is twice her age and as evil as any man can be. Instead of fighting it, which would be pointless, Morgan pretends to be happy, but whines about picking the honeymoon location. She picks Las Vegas with a plan in mind. When she gets a free moment, she's going to run. She's set it up perfectly. She's hidden some money and a fake ID into a fake bottom of her luggage.
When Jonathon leaves her in their hotel room the first night they arrive, she sneaks out. She knows that he'll come after her, so she makes a false trail. At the airport, Morgan makes fast friends with Brook, a burlesque dancer. Brook gives Morgan a ride and hooks her up with a job. Brook sells Morgan off as a famous photographer to her boss, Manny. Manny likes Morgan's work so much that he gives her another job: taking pictures of the MMA fighters at his other business. It's here that Brook meets Shane - the super sexy, tattoo covered badass MMA fighter. When Brook and Morgan go dancing at a club, Shane is there and is seriously flirting with Morgan. When Brook has to leave, Morgan stays with Shane and they end up getting drunk. When Brook wakes up the next morning, Shane is in her bed and they got married. There are 2 really bad things about this situation - 1) Morgan got married using her real name and now she knows her father and Jonathon will find her and 2) Shane is getting ready to fight for the title and he owes money to the biggest scumbag in Vegas, Johnny Ray, and Johnny will be coming after them now too. Morgan and Shane know they need an annulment, but the press has already gotten wind of their drunken nuptials. Now, Morgan has to put her safety in Shane's hands. Can Shane protect her? Can Morgan protect her heart against Shane when he shows her how much he adores her and then pushes her away over and over again?
OK so I have to tell you that regardless of Shane's wishy washy feelings about everything, you can't help but love this guy. It's obvious that he has real feelings for Morgan and he is fighting them especially the way he is super jealous when his best friend is flirting with her. Morgan is awesome too. I love the way that she just goes with the flow and accepts these new people and circumstances in her life, but she doesn't shy away from danger when confronted with it. She stands up for herself and she's not one of these girls that just accepts bad things. She ran away, made real plans and a fake trail, got a job and started to have a real life again. She stood up to Shane plenty of times and told him when he was acting like a bipolar jerk and she stood up to Johnny when the time came. The brave girl and the protective badass....it was a nice story. Oh back to my original comment. This is not an erotic series. You'd expect it to be with the name, but Sin is what Shane calls Morgan when he learns her real last name is Sinclare. Morgan never had friends, a boyfriend or a life, so she's a virgin when her and Shane ended up hitched and that didn't change right away either. The sex scenes where there, but they weren't expanded on. This actually probably stopped me from giving this the full 5 stars. I expected some hot steamy sex scenes with the gorgeous MMA fighter. The suspense is good and the story flows nicely. You get connected to the characters and it ends with you wanting to know more about these people. I would definitely recommend this series and will be on the look out for more by Casey L. Bond.

My God this was amazing I ate this up like candy I was addicted to it I had to have the next part (this was originally published as a serial) Wonderful, absolutely wonderful.
Song Choice: "I Will Possess Your Heart" by Death Cab For Cutie, "Hold On, We Are Going Home" by Drake, "Addicted To Love" by Florence and the Machine
First Thoughts: I am infatuated with Casey L.
Thoughts on Plot: This was original - at least from my take on it, I did say earlier I am not a huge contemporary fiction reader so maybe its not for some but for me it was. I loved that Shane was an MMA fighter, I am not sure what I really expecting from him but wow he blew me away - we will get to that soon, I loved the pace of this book. I read this as the serials but to be honest it felt like i was reading as a novel because i wanted until all pieces were out and I am glad I did, i am not going to lie I think i would have died waiting for the next piece of this story! It was truly addicting. My heart was racing practially throughout the whole book I just had to know what was going to happen wait. The suspense for me was there, when was this mysterious Johnny going to strike, when was Sin's (Morgan's) past catch up to her because I Was certain it was. And boy was I right! There are so many twist and turns in this book you will be wondering which way is up and what way is left because omg, amazing. Sure I caught a few things before they happens but mostly I didn't. I loved the ride anyways! Romance, suspense, thrills, sexy-as-hell MMA fighter? Yes please!
Characters: My thoughts and casting - note: i don't do casting often
Moran aka Sin:
Shane:
Morgan: She was feisty, while yeah she was little sheltered and didn't know a few things, she was strong and kept going. She fought hard and wanted to know what was happening. She didn't need anyone to save her because she could save herself, but if she fell and needed help she was willing to accept it. I really enjoyed her character, i think she was an awesome MC and I did really enjoy reading her story
Shane: MMA fighter, scruff, gray eyes, and a bad attitude, sign me up ;) hehehe but in all seriousness, he was a great Male lead, while he had moments where i wanted to punch him, he was mysterious, sexy as hell, demanding, very alpha *mmmmeeooow ;) * anywayyys now that i done being creepy. Great character to fall in love with ^.^
Sin, Part 1 quickly wraps you into the story of Morgan Sinclare and the unfortunate predicament that she finds herself in at the start of the book. Rather than sit and pout but accepting of her fate, Morgan plots her escape. I have to admit, it’s rather ingenious, and fortunately for her both her father and his friend fall for it.
Off to Las Vegas Morgan and her father’s friend Johnathon go to get married and honeymoon. From the first moment you meet him, Johnathon is skeevy and controlling, and doesn’t really care for Morgan any more than for the arm-candy that she’d provide him. You can really feel for her in this situation, and the interactions are written so well that at times my skin crawled while reading them.
Fortunately Morgan isn’t with Johnathan for long as she makes her escape into the Las Vegas scene under a new name, and soon she meets Brooklyn, who takes her on an amazing ride to the Burlesque and MMA scenes. Being exposed to whole new areas in a well-known city was refreshing from a reader standpoint and from the story standpoint, it allows readers to meet some pretty awesome characters.
I’ve already mentioned Morgan’s initial situation, which is compelling in itself, but her pluck and determination from the beginning and her wide-eyed but confidently fun-loving demeanor after her escape makes her a great character and a fun read. She’s easy to root for and you hope from the start that she’d get out of her situation, and then you enjoy the ride that she gets taken on as Brooklyn comes speeding in and takes Morgan right under her wing. If you have that wild friend with the heart of gold, that is Brooklyn. She was a delight to read, and I look forward to reading her reaction to finding out what happens at the close of this book. Then there’s Shane, he’s not my type of guy in real-life, but boy is he smouldering and just about perfect for how Casey Bond writes his character.
Being a serial novel, it is rather fast paced, and it ends with a cliff-hanger that left me eager to scoop up Sin, Part 2. Well done, Casey!
Sin 1: Morgan's story grabbed my attention right from the start. Being forced to live the life her father has chosen for her. Her only hope is in Sin City. The story was interesting and sexy. I can't wait to find out what happens to Morgan next. I hope she gets her HEA!
Sin 2: Everyone knows who Sin is now and she has to hide. I am enjoying this series. Morgan and Shane are obviously attracted to each other, but something is holding him back. I can't to find out more about the back story. I love all the nicknames Sin has for Shane especially Jerkstice. The series is fun and sensual. I can't wait to find out what happens next.
Sin 3: Sin you go get it girl!!! I loved this installment of SIN. This is such a great series. Morgan ran away to be free only to find out there is someone one else now controlling life. Lucky for her she has to endure this with one hot fighter!! Brooklyn is definitely a friend everyone should be lucky enough to have! "Want me to have him taken care of? I know people." I loved that and that is a true friend. Morgan doesn't take Shane's mood swings lying down. I love it every time she points out to him how he is acting like such a diva lol. I love Morgan and can't wait to read more.
Sin 4: It's fight night!! Bond gave me a twist I didn't see coming. Morgan went through so many emotions that night and kept me on the edge of my seat. I am so rooting for Morgan and Shane to have a HEA. Only one more book in the series and I'm so excited, but I know I'm going to miss this amazing against all odds couple!
Sin 5: Holy Twist!!! I did not see any of this coming. This was such an exciting and entertaining series. Morgan made me laugh so many times and of course Shane just made me swoon! Great job Bond!!
I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.
The premise of this book had me intrigued. I even loved the fact that each of the covers was a different color heel. It drew my eye and captured my attention. The same is what I felt when I began reading this work: drawn in and captured. I will let you know that this book gets a three (3) stars after reading it. Here's why:
Have you ever read a book and wondered at the end what you really felt about the work? It was exactly what I felt when I finished reading this book. I didn't know if I was happy at the end or disappointed. I was just kind of...there. There were good moments in the book and surprising elements to it. I'm glad that I was able to read all five parts at once. I think I would have been incensed had I only been able to read part by excruciating part. I don't mind it for television, but I would have lost it dealing with a book that I was reading, ebook or no ebook.
There were a number of things that bothered me about the book, but nothing bothered me more than the reasoning behind the father's distance or the reaction to it all. I felt like it was rushed and nothing was truly dealt with. I won't give it away, but know it truly bothered me to no end.
The "wrap ups" left me wanting a bit more. I felt like the story wasn't done. Here's your gift with a neat, little bow, but the box only contains part of your present. You will need to wait to find out the rest, but surprise there's nothing else. It was a quick read, interesting concept, but left me wanting. Once again, so glad that I didn't have to wait for part by part to be released.
I found this to be a super fun and fast read. Seriously, it's really short. The e-book also comes in sections or as a whole, I think it was released as a serial. I just read the whole thing in one sitting because once you start you just need to know how it ends. I really enjoyed the character of Morgan. She had a plan and she was bound and determined to start over and she was so easy to like and that only grew when she met Brooklyn. The two of them together was just perfect. The banter and the way that you can just click with someone else you only just met and know they are going to be a great friend for a long time. And then there is Shane, oh yummy dark and brooding guy who can literally kick ass. Shane and Morgan have instant chemistry and watching that tension build on and on was just steamy. I wouldn't mind having to take photos of him for my job, just saying.
I suggest anyone looking for a good fun read full of sexual tension and funny moments along the way should check this one out. I would consider it a cleaner NA as the characters are old enough to be married off in the modern day. Plus the fun of Sin City.
Morgan Sinclare, a young, naive daughter of a Senator who has been protected her entire life, walks in to hear her father selling her hand in marriage to a business associate. But being the good girl that she is, she agrees but makes a requirement since they will be eloping, they have the wedding in Las Vegas of all place! The City of Sin as it's called. Making plans to escape her father & her fiancee, Morgan changes her name to Morgan Fairbanks and sets out to start a new life. She finds a new best friend to help her along her way & a new job doing what she loves to do, photography........ What she doesn't expect is the twists & turns and her life turning upside down after going out with her new best friend to the clubs. What will she do? Will she give in to what her body & mind want....... or will she get caught running from her past? Will her past & new life finally catch up to her? Read this amazingly quick series!!! You wnt want to put it down until you have read ALL of the books!!!
I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. Morgan Sinclaire has lived a very sheltered life, held captive by her father's demanding ways. He has sold her hand in marriage to the highest payer, Jonathon Maddox. They fly to Las Vegas where they plan on eloping in a chapel. It is put on hold so he can hang out with his buddies. She packs a bag and runs away. She then runs into a dancer by the name of Brooke and they immediately become friends. Morgan is introduced to a MMA fighter, the smoking HOT Shane Justice. They have a wild night that turns into some crazy times. I really enjoyed this series. The one thing that I liked the most was Morgan. She may have lived a sheltered life, but she is smart and fierce. She stands up for herself and won't back down. It's actually refreshing to read. I will definitely read more from this author!
OMG I have to say Casey's SIN series is seriously getting in the way of my work! I can't stop reading....loving this series! Love how there are some twist and turns along the way. Each book I love the characters a little more. And I'm loving the laughing out loud moments....this author is really funny too! This is the point that for me, in a good series, I get very disappointed because I know I'm over half way done, and that soon my journey with these characters will end. Totally do not want that to happy....so I'm hoping she will have more in store for us after book 5. To think I only have 2 more chances to ensure this is just too much to think about. Awesome job! Very happy I 1-clicked that free Sin 1 book!
I've posted on all the individual books but I honestly can't say enough about this series. I found the first book as a free read somehow. Honestly I have found some amazing authors this way. I'm so glad I took a leap and one clicked as she is now on my list of favourite authors. And once I read the first I anxiously one clicked away as I couldn't stop! This series has everything... awesome characters. A great story line. Twists and turns. Total laugh out loud moments. You will fall in love with everyone in the book (and hate those you should) and never want to miss anything that is happening. I seriously hope she will continue with more stories on these characters as I will not hesitate to read them! Thanks for an awesome series!!
Sin is a serial series about Morgan Sinclair. I loved this series and couldn't wait to read the next part; do yourself a favor and just one-click the entire serial series.
I loved the characters. I felt like Morgan and I could have been great friends. She was witty and brave no matter what happened. She was determined to create a new life for herself. And what's a great story without a villain? Ms Bond have us the perfect villain in Jonathan. I hated that man from the first page to the last; he was pure evil.
The concept of this serial series was well thought out and executed perfectly. The writing was amazing and the story flowed well from one part to the next. I cannot wait to read more from this author.
Absolutely LOVED this book! This book starts out, where you just want to kick Morgan's father's ass & the man who she is supposed to marry! It brings you in really quick, you just want to keep reading more & more and not put it down until you have finished, not only this book, but the entire series! Morgan is a young, naive girl who's father who is a Senator, has made a business deal for his daughters hand in marriage. She wants to run away, so she makes up a great plan to make that happen, starting out by making her fiancee agree to take her to Las Vegas, since they aren't having a real wedding & are eloping. It's the perfect city to escape & start a new life..... or is it? What does her future have in store for her? You will have to read this amazing book to find out!!!
Still trying to learn bit by bit, piece by piece..... the extent of how much trouble she really is in, Morgan is feeling like a puppet, just like she has her entire life, but this time because of Morgan Justice. She cnt figure out why her mind & body don't want to work the way that she wants them too at all, still in hiding Morgan plans on annuling the marriage as soon as she can figure out a way to get through this "show" they have to play as husband & wife for Morgan & Shane, Shustice as she likes to call him, to stay safe & find a way to get past this without drawing attention to the news media. Will she end up running or staying? Just wait and read the books yourself, you won't want to put them down!!!
After finally escaping her father & her fiancee, Jonathan...... Morgan starts her new life as Morgan Fairbanks, but that doesn't last too long. Her new found best friend, Brooklyn helps her to get a job doing what she loves doing best, Photography. After doing a photoshoot, Morgan & her best friend decide to go out for a night on the town, little did Morgan expect to run into one of the men from her photoshoot, while out at the club with Brooklyn. What she didn't expect was to end up waking up the next morning, married to the man of her dreams & in a world of trouble that she has no clue she's walking in to. Will they annul the marriage or will they fall in love?
The last few weeks, Morgan's life has been turned upside down, after finding out that in order to get Shane (Shustice) out of trouble and for Morgan & Shustice to get their marriage annulled, without having too many problems, Morgan must attend one of Shane's fights, but in the company of somebody nobody wants her to sit with or be around for her safety. What is everybody so worried about she is thinking? It's one fight, there will be tons of people around to protect her & keep her safe. Shane promises to keep her safe, can she trust him with not only her life but her heart? What will Morgan do? Find out in this awesome series!!!
This Series keeps leaving me wanting more.. I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment..
Shane is so HOT and Cold.. He makes you want to reach into the book and give him a real shaking but I love his character all the same.. I believe he is just fighting his feeling.. Like most men tend to do.. HAHA.. Morgan is fighting her feeling too, but only because of Shane's attitude..
I can't wait to find out who Autumn is.. I also can't wait to find out in my suspicions about Johnny are right or not...
