On a path of self-destruction Life on the street has made Nicole Bowers what she is today; a prostitute. She hates what she has become, but wishing for a different life seems pointless to her. When her manager provides her with a strong-arm driver, she meets the only man to ever make her pointless dreams seem possible.
Sucker for a damsel in distress Six-foot-four, Cole Porter is a tough, hard-hitting member of the Chrome Horsemen MC and has taken a job as a driver for high-dollar call girl, Nicole Bowers. As much as Cole loves his MC brothers, he has come to love his new assignment even more. But getting Nicole away from her pimp proves harder than even he imagined and Cole must decide if saving her is worth the risk of getting his MC involved in an underworld war.
The corruption of ownership Gabriel Morelli has built an empire on the backs of countless women but Nicole Bowers has a special something that keeps the men coming back for more and he isn't willing to let her go without a fight. She is also the only woman Gabriel has ever even come close to loving, and there will be hell to pay for any man who tries to steal what belongs to him.
This was so close to being a DNF. I'm not even sure where to start. A high price call girl who is worth zillions of dollars due to her continued investments in stocks using the security services of a mc. Not likely. Aside from the premise of the book, I found the female character to be extremely shallow. The author spent a big chunk of the book trying to justify this woman's worth (both financially and intellectually). Good that she keeps up on current events and came up with unique ways to surprise and satisfy her clients. Ugh. I'm done. No more talking about this book.
Horrible. That's the best I can say about this book. The first few pages were just odd. I knew after that I wouldn't like it so I skimmed a few more pages and gave up. Definitely not worth my precious reading time.
I feel like I skipped a whole story in the middle somewhere because they just met and then they take ONE FREAKING RIDE together and they practically fall into love mode?
Insert finger into back of mouth and hurl.....boring! Way too much narration and predictability. Was suppose to have an MC feel, there was elements but nothing I could say a hundred percent bad ass biker. Maybe and that's a big fat maybe book two will be better. So read at your own risk.
Freebie. Cliffhanger. Good read with strong characters. Interesting concept about a seasoned prostitute hooking up with a MC member. Doesn't appear to be much about the MC.
An interesting glimpse into the life of a professional call girl. I’ve never read a book written quite like this one. Nicole is a woman who treats her job with the utmost respect. Reading about her techniques, social studies, and skills learned was thought provoking. After life on the streets she turned her tragedy into triumph, providing for herself the only way she could, and remaining safe. When she gets a new driver Cole, she begins to think about life outside of the one she’s living. Cole is a biker who lives by his own code, and has no desire to settle down something permanent with a woman. But fate has the way of changing things. Cole’s been waiting for Nicole a hint of interest. Once she does, he counters, and they go out for an outing. The relationship is on the fast track in the most unexpected way. For them, it’s not about sex, and I loved that! Ms. Faye did a bang up job of creating a strong connection, and growing it into a thing of real beautiful. There’s action, romance, and incredible sex scenes. My one complaint would be I wanted more! She injected a bit of mystery that was never solved. Ms. Faye, there are things I need to know! * places hands on hips. I also wanted to know more about Cole.
2.5 stars Nicole is a call girl. Cole is her driver who also is part of a motorcycle club called the chrome horsemen. We get a little excitement when a drop goes bad. Some crazy deja vu thingy and explosive sex between Cole And Nicole. A cliffhanger type ending with the story picking up in the next part I assume.
My star count was higher but as I read on it went down. I think it was mostly I lost intrest and spacing out while reading, and when you space out during an extended sex scene...
Yeah so plot sounded good. I learned a bit about Nicole and her self-training and research that I found a tad interesting, but seriously I didn't need to know everything that went through her head. She started as a character I wanted to get to know then after a bit I wanted to slap her or put her to sleep just so I wouldn't have to deal with her disection of everything.
I got this as and amazon freebie so can't complain about price but I don't think I care to read on.
This book can use some serious editing. Love the cover and the general idea of the story but that's about it.
The author went a little nutty on the sex scene and ruin it with all the explanations about erogenous zones and what not. We don't want to know what they are just how they feel when rightly manipulated.
And what's this about the "deja vu" thing. Unless this has some paranormal aspects to it I don't buy it. Usually when you have a deja vu episode it's because something triggers it, a smell most likely. And it's not so frequent or just because you want to know something specific about a person. And most definitively not something about the future.
I just read the book because it was free and I needed it for a challenge so it is not surprising when I say I won't be reading anymore by this author.
This book did not suit me at all. 1. It's one of those serials.. free then outrageous for the next short installment. 2. The writing felt like I was being talked at. It didn't flow properly. It was odd. 3. Then this whole "kismet" idea that they knew each other didn't feel like it fit into the MC type book.
Sure there's action with the MC. But, what about action in bed? No, Nicole is a call girl. The main characters don't do it for like half the book. This whole story just didn't sit well with me. I had to literally force myself to finish it.
So very frustrating when a book that was part of a serial is no longer a serial but now one long stand alone book (what it should have been in the first place) so now you end up buying the first part multiple times :( Not to mention that this book was just out there. It didn't have any of the usual MC stuff that we all know and love, and the heroine a high priced call girl was just plain annoying. I will likely read on just because I hate not knowing what happens in a book but I would never recommend this book to anyone it was a 1.5 star read.
Nicole was a relative innocent when she fled an abusive relationship into the city. But a girl has to eat and she became a high priced callgirl. One who has slowly become disillusioned with her life.
Cole is a member of the Chrome Horsemen MC and currently working as her driver. A connection is felt, one they decide to explore.
The only thing is, will Nicole's pump allow her to leave the game?
I actually skimmed through the last half of the book. It was good for the first few chapters and had a lot of promise and then it's faltered. All of a sudden the characters are having weird flashbacks and memories that make them know things about each other that they couldn't know. It sounded almost like a paranormal romance with psychics or something. I think the general premise with the call girl and we driver could have been so good.
What did I just read???? Nicole is a high priced call girl and Cole is her driver. 3 months of him being on the job and she is ready to give up her life of sex and settle down. Cole is part of a MC and drives his client around and provides security. This book was so clinical. The first time she has sex with Cole it comes across as reading a text book instruction manual. Very boring and no chemistry between them.
I got this as a free read but can say I wasn't disappointed. Loved it and the cover. Storyline was entertaining, well written and hot. Loved the chemistry and interaction between Cole and Nicole. Loved how Cole wasn't judgmental and accepting of Nicole's past. Can't wait to read more in this series. I am definitely intrigued.
Freebie. Cliffhanger. I skimmed through a lot of it. There should be LESS detail in some places, like 3.5 pages describing erogenous zones. Really?? WTF? I didn't feel connected and the flow of the book and felt at times it was all over the place. Won't read the second. Also not much about the MC.
This was a freebie off Amazon- whichof course ends in a cliffhanger to force you to buy the next installment. It was all telling. Not really a believable story line, and a main character who is written so superior that there is nothing redeemable about her or anything that makes a reader want to connect with her. I had to force myself to finish it.
I skimmed through a lot of it. I liked some of it. I think there should be more detail in some places and less in others. I didn't feel connected and the flow of the book was a little disjointed. It didnt keep my interest enough to read the second.
The story was extremely weak. It did not connect well, the story switched around and did not answer a lot of questions. The whole supernatural factor threw me off. Plus the writing felt force; it did not feel as if I was reading the character's voices, but just reading a normal reading.
I got this book in a set off amazon and I've loved every story. This one was absolutely great. From the descriptions to her lifestyle finding someone worth giving it all up for. It's amazing what some people can look past to be with the person they really care for. Can't wait to read the next one.
This book hurt me to read a little, so glad it was a freebie on amazon. The writing is very choppy and needs an editor. The heroine is shallow and unrealistic. I snored through the long explanations during the sex scenes. The deja vu stuff was..odd and had me rolling my eyes.
What can I say I got this book plus the next 2 as part of a box set deal . I'm kind of torn with theses books some bits I really liked and other parts I felt just didn't fit or I got bored was an ok read considering the price
I enjoyed reading about Cole and Nicole. There were parts that at times seemed stale, but I liked the end excitement. Can't wait to read more about the Horsemen!!
