so what to expect on pop fictions? siggghhh

i don't like the lame revelations in the end. the conclusion wrecked the whole story. plus what's with that freaking envelope and french phrase? gawwwddd i need closure!!!

but realizing that the author is only, what, 16 years old? and her book's content is not suitable for 18 years old below? lol, it's impressive!

Ahghh this book reminds me of the everyday riot in our classroom lol. Everyone was trying to guess who was the killer but just end up bickering haha. As I have a short term memory, I can't rmb much about the plot yet it was interesting read for me.

2016, may libro nito kaklase ko at natatandaan kong pangatlo ako sa nanghiram sa kaniya. Feeling main character pa ako noon everytime na dala ko 'tong librong 'to kahit saan sa School.

Well, I tried not to guess who the killer/s is/are. I just enjoyed the flow of the story. And yes, I can say that I had a good time reading it. Will read the 2nd book? As of now, I don't want to spoil the first one, so I will not read it.

A mystery book na napakamysterious. Pero parang pilit yung way na pag answer sa mga questions. Yung tipong bigla na lang isisiksik. Like, "Gusto mo bang malaman?"
Lagi na lang ganyan. Wala bang ibang paraan na ishare ang background story in a more realistic way? Hindi yung go lang after ka paikutin ng past chapters. Dapat may thrill man lang for example ikaw makakafind out coming from chain of clues.
And yung flow. Hindi maganda yung flow. Parang minamadali na hindi mo maintindihan. At ang daming 'flashbacks' na hindi naman necessary na i-flashback. Pwede naman ikwento habang nanyayari in the present.
Or gusto lang ata ipamysterious ng author ang manyayari. But sorry di effective. Kasi yung flow nga.
Tapos ung papalit-palit ng mga POVs. Nakakalito kasi minsan halos 5 sentences lang si Rhianne tas biglang magpapalit na naman kay Alexander or any others. Parang kinakasanayan or pag nafe-feel mo pa lang ang narration tapos biglang papalitan. Nakakalito.
And marami ding questions na hindi nasagot. Parang nalimutan ng author iexplain further. Bakit ganung klase yung school? Why that specific school to transfer to? Why...(magkakaspoilers na hahaha stop).
And may pagkastupid yung characters minsan. ✌️️Tapos ang weird kasi. May namatay na nga tapos excited pa sa mga occasions or events? Nagagawa pa nila magkaroon ng light atmosphere at some points? Papasok ka pa rin sa ganung lagay? Parang ang unrealistic naman. Nakakatraumatize kaya pag nagsisingmatayan mga kaklase mo lalo na pag theory niyo na kaklase niyo lang ang killer.

All in all 1 and half stars, pero since may mystery naman kahit papano, 2 stars.

Maganda sana yung plot, kulang na lang yung writing and realism.

Pero hopefully sana may part two. Baka sakaling mabawi doon ang lahat. :)

This book reminds me of class 3-c has a secret.

I am a big fan of the mystery genre and I have read enough mystery stories to say that this book was trying way too hard to impress its readers.

Quite a page turner but a bit disappointing. I hate the revelations in the end for it was not that shocking and very much predictable.

Nabasa ko din part 2 nito kahapon, meh. daming butas. daming kulang. meh indeed.
