Trap Commandments: Indoctrination: Trap Commandments, Book 1

Rate this book
Trap Divine rules to be observed as strictly as one of the Ten Commandments; Rules that keep oxygen flowing through your lungs and money lacing your pockets.

Being a natural-born leader comes with a certain type of responsibility. The streets will never respect a man who is not rightfully holding down the position he was born to uphold. Some are created to lead while others were created to follow. Money will always keep stacking as long as everyone plays their position.

The weight of the world rests on those that are born to be great... Haze Ellis has no idea just how true that is until the moment he realizes that he is the descendent of a King... A "Street" King!

READ 3 TIMES BACK TO BACK‼️‼️‼️

YES, I did! And yes it was that good to me. But I kept going back because throughout the first time I was picking up on things and so I needed to be sure the author was dropping down what I was picking up…SHE WAS‼️‼️‼️ I LOVE HAZE! I LOVE SHAE, RICH, and DEY. Mesh, can suck fungus toe. And you know what? So can Tiff, just off gp for how she tried to come up on Shae in the mall. That whatn’t yo man gul! Anyway let get on to part 2 now, finally 😂!

Haze me please. I loved this book. This book gave the perfect balance between urban and romance. I loved the character development and did not see what happened coming. It had me flipping the pages back to reread to make sure I wasn’t tripping. That is the best kind of read. Really enjoyed it!

I had a feeling by reading the title, the blurb and by looking at the book cover that this would be a great read. And I was right. Apart from a few editing issues regarding the typos, I was HOOKED. This was action packed and I loved it. This reminded me of old school urban fiction books like "coldest winter ever" and "true to the game". It had that same grit, but it was also raw and vulnerable. That balance is key. It was extremely realistic and for that reason she added trigger warnings for sensitive readers. But I absolutely loved this book. I loved ALL the main characters and the way KC was able to balance their individual storylines without messing up the momentum or pacing of the story. There's ALOT going on and again K.C Mills is able to craft these complex alpha male characters and gives us an insight into their thought process which is exhilarating.

Shae and Haze's relationship gripped me. And I'm usually not into the 'good girl bad boy' trope but I think I like the way K.C Mills shows us the development of the relationship between her characters. So that way, we're invested. I'm extremely invested and need to know what the fate of their complicated relationship will be. Because it looks like Shae is down to ride but she hasn't been tested yet. So will she fold under pressure when that time comes? 🤔 And I hope Haze remains faithful unlike Swift's friendly tail 🤣 Oh, and the spicy scenes? Perfect.🌶️🔥🥵 Well-balanced and not over done. 👌🏾

And Book 1 ended with a cliff hanger but I think we all know who Haze's dad is👀. It's a bit obvious🫣- all the clues were there 🤷🏾‍♀️lol But, if I think he is who I'm thinking, then book 2 will get very interesting as Haze uncovers his real identity🤯🤔

I liked how detailed K.C Mill is when it comes to the street politics and the distribution of narcotics🤓. It's enlightening lol Most authors skim over it but she's quite detailed👀. Okay, I'm done talking lol onto Book 2!🏃🏾‍♀️🤸🏾‍♀️

I Will Never Fail U!

Dubs, Haze and Rich were family and trapping in the streets it was strictly about getting that money and taking care of the little family they had they took care of the people they loved. Rich and Haze lov3d their grandmother and being first cousins best friends as well. Dubs was a few years younger and still out there playing with different women. Haze was the leader and Ethel big boys were watching him. Haze was very calculating, cunning and deadly but still growing. Rich had a boo but she played him and meeting his new boo Ceecee he just knew things would be different. Bagging a few neighborhood girls makes Rich feel safe than getting with those boogie ladies. Haze was not professing anything to a female, just hittin and laving. Swift was a big boy in the game and when his girl Deyas cousin LaShae sees Haze she just knows he is the one. Shame will have a lot of growing when dealing with Haze, understanding the game and what her place as his friend, confidant and lover, his peace. While this is new to Haze he welcomes Shae but as quick as he welcomes her he will leave her. When tragedy strikes the crew , Shae finds out who her dad could possibly be and Haze is on his way to understanding why some guys call him King Haze and where his respect falls from. Changes , changes changes. You will not put this down easily! You gooooo KC Mills!

Amazzzzzzingggggggg ❣️❣️

As I always say KC is the GOAT periodtttt. I love love love her style of writing and how she draws you in with these complicated but relatable characters. I overly love Haze he is everything. I’m mad Casey got Rich involved in her BS but being the kind of man he is I expected nothing less. Of course Mesh stank ahh had to witness something that she shouldn’t have 🙄 and damn Dubs I never saw that coming 😥 I don’t like Deyah tryna to tell Shae how to move with Haze when she’s a willing doormat for Swift but I get it she wants better for her little cousin she should want better for herself as well. I can’t wait to see how this all unfolds in the next installment. This is a definite must read I’m mad I’m just now getting to it!!!

This book was way better than I expected. I really underestimated it. It hit so close to home that it was almost scary 😳. It felt so familiar—like Ms. Mills had been lurking in my neighborhood, taking notes or something. I loved this book, but the only thing I’m upset about is how it ended. It felt like I was abruptly pushed out of your house with the door slammed in my face in the middle of a conversation😖. Like, what the heck? Now I’m waiting for the second book, which is currently on the waitlist. 😑 Other than that, I highly recommend it if you’re into hood romance, because it checked all the boxes for me🤷🏾.

🔥 🔥 🔥🔥

She has done it again. Man I absolutely love Haze and Rich. Haze is the epitome of an Alpha male. He whole demeanor screams I'm the stuff. Rich has his back like no other. Now Shae has done the unthinkable and licked Haze down. Candice done messed up with Rich and Casey needs to leave Rich alone. She made a choice and now Rich maybe in some trouble. Mesh gone mess around and get killed trying to blackmail somebody. Whew I'm already fiending for the next part. Absolutely the bomb.

OMGGGGGG

Dun-dun...Now Vivie needs to be kicked!! Gone ahead get rid of Mesh she is a trifling hoodrat I do not like her!! I wish Swift would get his act together for Deyah she's a solid chick I just wish was more motivated to get her business. I am glad she and Haze pushes LaShae I hope Shae sees her potential. I can see her being everything to Haze. They so deserve each other. I hope Haze can move forward and get to know his father Vivian was dead wrong from not allowing him to know his father. Matias is a cool cat..ok let's see that next book!!!

Well written, hard hitting story

I did enjoy the story, what I did not enjoy was the use of the word everyone calls "the N word". I believe we should be able to tell a good true to life story with out perpetuating the use of that word like its a friendly or good thing to say to another human being. If we continue to use it how can we get all up in arms when others do. As I have said I did enjoy the story and will recommend it to others, I'm also going to read the rest of the series because I'm hooked on what happens next

This was a good introduction to the series im my opinion. Haze, Rich, and Dubbs literally had so much happening in their lives back to back, and I was really hoping that they would receive a moment to just breath😂😭 Out of all of the Male characters, I think I liked Rich the most… he just seemed like the chill friend who just couldn’t find authentic love. I don’t know how I feel about Shae and Haze just yet… but I need Shae to stop stressing Haze out😭🤣🤣 I’ll continue reading to find out what else everyone gets into… cause the cliffhanger was crazy😭

Oh Damn!!!

Omg this new series is a Hit for me. I can tell this was a very well put together story. Loved the connection and bond Haze and the crew had with one another. Each character had his or her own dilemma's. Can't wait to see what happens with Haze and Matias. This story line is totally different from any of K.C Mills other stories and I'm totally looking forward to the next part. As Always Great Job!!!

5 🌟

This was a very good book. Haze is book bae! I'm glad he gave Shae a chance. I can't wait to watch their relationship grow. I really wish Rich would've thought about his actions before he did what he did. Casey knew what was going to happen that's why she went to him. Mesh is a straight opportunist. I can only imagine what she had planned for Rich. Patiently waiting on part2!!

good read

Haven’t read this book in a while, I forgot about King Haze a boss on a raise. I know his mom love home but she just selfish to me, she didn’t want him to know about his father but then she does stupid stuff that he have to get her out of but talk about his father is dangerous can’t wait to finish up part 2 and 3.. If you haven’t read this before it’s a good read, Miss Mills laid out the foundation of a making of King Haze

So Good!

OMG! This book was good-good! I loved Haze and Shaw’s characters! It’s going to be an interesting dynamic between Rich, Casey, and I have a feeling Candice will jump back on the scene. I want Deyah to have a major come-up outside of Swift and what he can provide. I’m anxiously awaiting part 2.

Great story

This was a great storyline. I liked the slow build up. I liked how when the book first started Haze, Rich & Dubs weren’t on kingpin status, just some young dudes hustling and trying to get it out the mud. I was teamHaze from the start and I’m glad he’s attempting to build something with Shae. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Hmmmm

👀 well ok , I'm not sure yet of the direction of this series yet. I do enjoy the young love with Haze and Shea. I also love the mother hen of Dey about her cousin, but I wish she took more of her own advice...The story moved a bit slower than her normal. I will be reading book 2

Hayward!!!

Hayward is my baby!!! Oh my goodness the characters and development of this series is truly coming together. I can't wait to see the interaction from both these young folks finding out they have father's out there. What will Shae do? And will Hayward except his role as his father's legacy? This is too much but BABY I'm here for it!!

Never disappointed

Wow! I LOVE, LOVE your writing. I love how you take your time in developing the characters in your books. Haze is such a strong man, but so is Rich. We often forget that men have DEEP feelings too. All it takes is the right woman to bring it out. Can't wait for PT 2

Great Read

Shae is exactly what Haze needs to balance himself out. It took him a while to realize it, but he did. Dub was young and hard headed, but he didn't deserve what happened to him. Rich has a good heart, but keeps getting involved with the wrong people. Vivie just can't seem to get her life together to do right by Haze. Can't wait to read part two to see what happens next!

Great start to what will no doubt be a great series.

I'm already 100% invested in Haze and Rich. I hope new situations don't flip Haze and Shae's relationship upside down. Poor Rich is set up to have a crazy run involving Mesh's stank butt. I can't wait for part 2. This will no doubt be an awesome series with K.C. at the helm as long as its not too long.

See...this is why I stopped reading your books.

I was so caught up in this book, I almost burned Thanksgiving dinner. This author is truly talented especially when it comes to character development. She definitely has a way of drawing you in to the characters. On to the next book in this series...

My newest obsession

I love me some Haze . Dope boy with a heart of gold . well written it rare to like a man of the streets but a man of the streets with loyalty and honor is a rarity. KC you are a good writer to be able to bring these traits to fruition. Must read on to give more props to you.

Secrets

Haze and Shame both have life changing secrets. Both about their fathers. Rich have bad luck with women names starting with letter C. Candice was wrong don't if she fix this issue. Casey is dead wrong for what she told Rich. Rich world just changed. Mesh ass is straight evil.

Good Book

I wasn’t expecting what happened to Dubs. The story held my interest because Haze and Rich were relatable in regards to starting from the bottom. I’m looking forward to the growth of both characters. I know messy Mesh going to be extra messy in the next book. I’m glad Deya began to see her for who she was.
