Author M.M. Roethig is a ‘happily-ever-after’ author whose guilty pleasure is a swoon worthy romance. Growing up, she spent her youth on various Air Force bases in many different states, which encouraged her imagination and love of make believe stories with each new city, scenery, and situation.

MM Roethig brings you into this sweet love story right from the start. The short story has many aspects that I love including how a father tells his love story to his little girl. The sweet little girl just adores his dad and it reminds me of my relationship with little ones. The ending is truly a tear-jerker that makes us all think about how we would react if we were in this situation. Well written and brings you in. Truly a great story to help you remember that life is precious and short.

If you want a story that will touch your heart and stay with you long after you read the last word, then Reflections by M.M. Roethig is the perfect story for you. It's a wonderful love story that encompasses a whole family, told in a short story format that will allow you to read it in one sitting. It's the perfect lunch hour read, though you may want to have a tissue handy.

Reflections by MM Roethig is a short story of Parker. Parker is the twin brother of Eric from Dangerous Obsession. I loved the short story, but would have loved for Parker’s story to have been much longer. Reflections is a touching story of Parker re-telling his love story to his daughter, Meredith. It is at times funny and heartbreaking. I would recommend reading Dangerous Obsession first as you will get to know Parker as he is an active secondary character.

To be honest, I was kind of expecting Parker to get his own book, not just a short story. As short stories go, this one was good. A lot happens in a short amount of time, I did like how its Parker telling his daughter about how he met her mother. It was sweet, but I think the cancer stuff could have been left out since it was so short it is hard to address and I'd rather just have a happy little short story then something trying to add depth via cancer. It was cute though.
