Brothers Blake and Mason have survived the 'system's' post-apocalyptic tutorial. They killed and cajoled their way into 'patronage' of a forest settlement, made useful (and beautiful) new allies, and for the moment things look good. A little too good.
But for how long? The synthetic overlord who re-made the world has a plan. There's orcs and gnolls and all kinds of monstrous creatures looking for human blood. And whatever the system wants, whatever it's after, Mason knows there's only one way survival.
But if he learns fast, improves enough, he just might get everything he ever wanted.

The First Great Game is a litrpg/men's adventure sci-fi/fantasy series about two brothers who come of age and find incredible adventure, and equally incredible women, in a post-apocalyptic video game world.
The second book is great just like book 1. A more revealing storyline created more in book 2. The characters and plot is getting more detailed . Looking forward to reading more of these books. Keep them coming.
Needs more character building. Less random meaningless forest sex. Conan meets Ready Player One. The new reality is being treated as a game. Yet all the old electronics work in a new post-apocalyptic world.
I like this author, his writing style and the MC: the world building is great. If his goal is to get you to death the brother, well mission accomplished.
The main storyline minus the sex makes it a decent read. The title does include that this is a Man's LITRpg so I've been trying to forgive all the meaningless sex episodes but it sure makes it hard to like Blake.
The First book was much better. This book was filled with so much strange and awkward dialog that I wasn't sure if I could finish it. The two MC's seldom do anything according to how they were set up and the romance is far into the cringe region.
