He knows her soul can never be his... but he wants it anyway.

Lucifer has come a long way since being trapped in Hell. Trading darkness for a life in the light, he's built a family with the Guardians and their mates—a future he never thought possible. But when a familiar nemesis threatens his peace, he's determined to end the Daemon King once and for all.

Until his plan is interrupted by an unexpected complication.

Summoned by Archangel Cassiel, he's forced to bond with Scarlet, a celestrial with secrets of her own. Yet something about her pulls at him in ways he can’t ignore—a connection that feels unlike anything he’s ever experienced. And despite her frosty demeanour and sharp tongue, he wasn't sure if he wanted to let her go.

Tricking her way into working for London's only Archangel, Scarlet will do anything to seek revenge, and finally lay her brother to rest. Even if that means spying on Lucifer, a frustratingly hedonistic and unpredictable man.

As she’s drawn deeper into Lucifer’s battle against the Daemon King, Scarlet finds herself torn between vengeance and a growing attraction that's nothing but a distraction, one that could cost her everything.

Because leaving her past behind was dangerous enough, and now she finds herself risking not just her mission, but her very soul.Dark Paranormal Romance - Reverse Grumpy Sunshine - He Falls First - Unhinged Golden Retriever - Forced Proximity - Who Hurt You?

Such a bittersweet feeling! I'm so sad that this series is coming to an end, but to end it with Lucy's story was just perfect! Not only do we get the awesome plot, action, mystery and romance we've come to love with this series but this one just felt different. I can't explain it but it was just so good. I loved Lucy and his mischievous, glitter filled mayhem, but we also see a deeper side that was so real and raw. I loved Scarlet, who is fierce and not your typical angel. The banter filled slow burn was amazing. Finishing off this series with Lucy, his brothers and their mates was exactly what I needed! Thank you Taylor for allowing us to go on this journey with you!

Lucifer is sitting a couple of his men while they wait on information they requested. To relieve boredom he's taken to helping pull pranks. It's been months since the last attacks and he's getting a bit antsy. Then they hear a call for help talking about skulls. In a blink Lucy is there followed a few minutes later by his Titus and Axel. When they get to the London Bridge the police are all dead. When they look beyond the bridge they find a homeless shelter encampment then bones. Then a fresh mage appears and tries to take out Lucy. Oh goodie the hellhounds have come along too. He and the two guardians take them out but they discover that they had no idea or even felt the cloaking or whatever. Lucy we have a problem!
Scarlet, a celestial or angel, received her letter to warrior school. It's bitter sweet since it was suppose to be both her and her brother. But her brother was killed now it's only her. Now she's in London. She's watching two warriors fight when they go to tell her she shouldn't be there. Then they stop talking because behind Scarlet stands Archangel Cassiel. And with this Archangel she meets the ole school that a woman can't be a warrior. But he will give her a chance. She's going to a meeting with him.The meeting didn't go the way he hoped. Lucy is at a meeting at a bar. It's so nice to be able to come into the light. Now they are discussing the enemy, the daemons and the skulls. Lucy tells them they need more power. If he can absorb more daemons energy he could use it to fight Gideon and the others could hopefully take him if out if Lucy weakens him. Meanwhile Cassiel and Scarlet are at the same pub and Cassiel is asking for Riley.
Scarlet is taken to her new quarters. After introducing themselves one shows her her new room. She goes in and digs in her bag. There she has kept hidden her brother's journal. Which tells her the last person to see her brother alive was Cassiel. She wants revenge. She's also realizing that the Archangels are lying pieces of poo.
AS Lucy is talking again with the team he feels a pull and finds himself within a circle of salt with Cassiel on the outside. Cassiel tells Lucy that he's bound to do what he asks and Lucy laughs. That's not how this works. When told that one of Cassiel's minions will be trailing him Lucy says no they need to deal as is the law in this type of instance. When asked he says he'll take Scarlet. He kisses her then leaves. Cassiel exams her to make sure she is healthy then puts his seal on her. Now she's do what she needs to do to follow Lucifer and his men.
The problem with Scarlet going with Lucy is that it interfers with her watching Cassiel. When she gets to her room one of the guys takes the cloth off her mirror. After he leaves she looks up to see her brother. Her brother's spirit walks the NUll and can only be drawn out by a bloodline. Now here he is looking broken as he was after being beaten. There's a part of him that was stolen and she needs to find it to giver her brother the peace he deserves. She goes with her new team members to an underground fight. She sees the guy she blackmailed into getting her into the warrior class gone and follows to find him in the men;s room using drugs again. When she goes back to the arena there in living color is Lucy. Lucy knew that Scarlet was there the moment he set foot in the building.
Gideon is evolving and that will make it harder to take him out. The other obstacle to the whole sort of war is that Lucifer is drawn to Scarlet. But does she return that feeling?
What is Cassiel's role in all the destruction and death? Will Scarlet find out about her brother? Will she come to understand Lucifer.
A fascinating story that is enthralling and heart stopping.

I cannot believe this series has come to an end. This is such a bitter sweet review because I have read the arcs of every single one of these books as Taylor has written them, literally from book 1, and I honestly don't want to let go! I love this world, I love the different types of breed, the setting, THE CHARACTERS!!! So. Damn. Much. Every single one of these boys stories have been etched into my heart but I always, always knew that Lucifer's would be my absolute favorite...

And I was right! I love how different this story was from the rest of them. We actually get so much of the Celestrial realm with a whole lot more plot centered around Celestrial characters. Considering Lucifer is a Daemon and his breed is seen as evil, I love that Scarlet's character is what is usually portrayed as Angelic (even if this is a huge misconception in the story). It gives such a good contrast!

I loved the mystery aspect of this story too, Scarlet is only there for one reason and she is determined to fulfill it, no matter the cost. I loved the relationship development between Scarlet and Lucifer, her being the grumpy and him being the sunshine! His glitter obsession continues to be a delight! As for the overall plot of this series, I loved how everything played out. It was about time that the Guardians were able to defeat Gideon and the whole addition of the Archangel, Cassiel, made this one really high-stakes and so interesting. I highly recommend this series to everyone because not only is every story amazing with really good spicy scenes, but you just have to get to know these boys!!! Okay?!

Thank you, @taylorastonwhite, for having me tag along for this journey, I will never forget it 🖤

He'd always felt he was missing something. A hollowness deep inside that he'd filled with frivolous things that meant nothing. Now he knew, he'd always been waiting for her.

4.25 stars

Lucifer has been my favorite glittery yet murderous demon from the very first book, and his story was perfectly balanced on the edge of deranged obsession and undying loyalty. The ultimate battle to defeat Gideon and his quest for world domination has been building since book one, and I loved seeing how each of the Guardians and their mates worked together with Lucy and Scarlett to bring him down.

And while I did enjoy watching as fate precipitated Gideon's demise, I felt like we missed out on a lot of the relationship buildup between Lucy and Scarlett as it took so long for Scarlett to finally let Lucy in. Nevertheless, I really admired Scarlett's strength and loyalty as a heroine, while Lucy was still my favorite sparkly yet badass demon. I was sad to say goodbye to these characters that I've come to love so much, but I enjoyed getting to see them all happily obsessed with each other one last time. I cannot wait to see what's next from Taylor!🖤

Tropes: fated mates, opposites attract, unhinged possessive hero, stabby heroine, forced proximity, hurt/comfort, touch her and die, golden retriever/black cat energy, he falls first, evil villain, knife play, SLOW BURN, found family, STEAMY🔥

We were finally able to read Lucifer's story. I was dying to see all his glittery self on page!
In this final book of this series we follow Lucifer and Scarlet.
Scarlet is a Celestrial, an Angel who left her world to find and get closure for her brother's death. She may have do do shady aliances to get the information and revenge she needs, but what she doen't expect is to be connected to Lucifer and above all else to enjoy and care for that connection. She is a fierce and strong woman who appears cold from the outside, but uses all that indifference as a shild to protect herself.
Lucifer is a deamon, with a sparkly personality, a sharp sense of humor and that enjoys life after all the torture he was submited to and freed from. He is a protector and goes all the way and beyond to take care of the people he loves.
So when he gets attached to Scarlet he can't help but feeling surprised. Can a deamon find a mate and learn to love?
While they struggle to save their world both characters fight to accept their feelings and each other.
I loved all the interaction from the previous characters and all that found family vibe between them.
It was such a good way to close this cycle, but I wouldn't mind spending more time in their world.

I have been looking forward to this story since book one, and I'm happy that Lucifer finally has his story! (I've honestly been wanting his story since the beginning of this series!)

Lucy and the Guardians are trying to take down Gideon, and they really don't need any more wrenches thrown at them, especially with a celestial following them around. Scarlet has been through a lot in her life, but she's resourceful. She wants to find her brother's un-aliver and she blackmails her way onto the security team of her suspect.
Lucifer was absolutely adorable with Scarlet, from his fumbled courting, to his obsession with glitter. I liked how Scarlet had her walls up and Lucy slowly, but surely broke them down and was there for her when she needed it.

There is steamy times (slow burn build up to awesomeness!), graphic violence (because saving the world), and swearing (because duh).

The story closes all of those loose ends and gives a wonderful happy ending to Lucy and the rest of the Guardians and their mates! I am both happy and sad that this series is over! I am going to miss all of these characters! I recommend reading the other stories first in order, prior to reading this one.

I had such a good time with this book, my chief complaint being that it was over too fast. I’ll miss this series. This was Lucifer’s book where he was trying to gather enough demons to help him defeat Gideon even at the cost of his own life (seemed like he wanted that more than once actually). He meets Scarlett who is an angel who left the angel realm to investigate Cassiel who she believes was involved in her brother’s death. She wants to save her brother from being stuck in the in between and is tasked by Cassiel to spy on Lucifer. I love how she responded to challenges at every turn and how she came to see Lucifer. Lucifer was fascinated by her the whole time and it was fun to see him reach the conclusion that yep she’s mine. Also it was really sweet when the other guardians were telling him about how he’s truly a guardian and showed how worried they were for him. It’s nice to see them all be softer even with each other after finding their mates. The epilogue was great too. I’ll miss these characters.

I think this is my first ever grumpy sunshine with the mmc as the sunshine and I loveddd it! All the twists that I didn’t expect in this book were so good! I’m very much so a Kace girl and say the second book in this series is my favorite buttttt this one may have taken the spot! I’ll say it right now I laughed and bawled during this book. I even had several happy tears. While the trail of emotions isn’t uncommon for me they were very strong in this book. I think we could all use a Lucy to help us fly! This was so good and probably gonna be my current favorite recommendation to others in the romantasy department. It was funny sweet and had some good spice, I’d say it’s the spiciest of the series. I’ll be ready for when it makes its debut on audio. Until then I’ll daydream of flying. Thank you Taylor for writing a book for us “thick thigh girls with stabby vibes,” we needed one!!

These honestly do keep getting better with every subsequent story. Dance of Wings I felt had the best writing, the best story, and the best characters. Don’t get me wrong, I love every guardian and their mate but Lucifer is special because he is not like the others. I wanted this goof to have his own story in the worst way and this delivered him in a much more serious form than I had expected. He is the best hero. I love Scarlet because she is no damsel in distress and the play of the angels in this book is insane. I loved every second of this book and it brought me to tears at times. I love this series, these characters, this family, these worlds, and I HATE that this is 7/7. I want to live here forever.

10 out of 10, 5 stars, no notes, work of art.

I was so sad to see that The Guardian’s series is come to an end, but what a way to go out. Dance of Wings was such a great way to end the series. It was fun getting to know Lucifer throughout the series but I was so excited that he got his own book. This was definitely a hard one to put down. I found myself laughing at Lucy’s antics and wowed by Scarlet’s courage and determination on vengeance. Plans get messed up when they are forced to bond and sacrifices are made. This was attention grabbing from beginning to end. Taylor did an amazing job creating these characters and the world they are living in. I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next.

Perfect end to my fave comfort series. TAW created a thorough and engaging storyline that spanned seven books with seven distinct romances and sub-plots, explored a multi-realm world, and tied in a completely separate prequel series, all without feeling crowded or overwhelming. The ending is absolutely satisfying for all the build up it’s had. Honestly did not expect Lucy and Scar to crash land at the top of my fave couple ranking but by god they’re there now. They’re the perfect mix of sweet, goofy, and heartbreaking. Please excuse me while I reread ten more times😭🖤

Finally Lucifer’s story. What a great ending to a fantastic series. There is so much depth to Lucifer’s character. We can see how he uses his humor as a shield. I love the irony of an Angel and Demon. These two sacrifice so much for the ones they love. I recommend the entire series. This story has humor, heartbreak and intense joy.

What an ending to an incredible series! Once last time the author draws us back into this incredible world as we get Lucifer and Scarlet’s story. They are forced to bond and with secrets of their own, they find themselves drawn to each other and Scarlet finds herself torn between the battle against the Daemon king and her path for vengeance. It’s an exciting read, gripping, enthralling and unputdownable and I have enjoyed every minute of it!

Maybe my favorite book of the series!

This maybe my favorite book of the series. And the end chef kiss.. This for me was the most emotional book of the series and Lucy is one of my favorite guardians. This book has it all, it will have you laughing and crying throughout the whole thing. Just know that the end is worth it. This whole series is great and you won't regret reading it.

This was a great wrap to the series and so glad I got to see Lucy get his HEA. Scarlet was probably my favorite. White’s creativity will keep your attention. I loved the use of the mirror in this story. This is a great series if you enjoy a world of mythical creatures and romance. But do yourself a favor, and start from the beginning!

Fantastic story , lots of suspense mixed with Lucy’s irrepressible humour! So sad this is the last in the Guardians 😟
My only issue was typos and grammar at times.
But couldn’t fault the ending - wonderful ❤️

"She knew if she really wanted to be free, he'd let her go."

I sure I am far from the only one who's been eagerly waiting for Lucifer's story and Taylor cruelly kept it until the last. But now, finally, it's here, and it was seriously worth the wait! Lucifer is a fantastic character and he's captivated us from his first appearance. I long wondered who his perfect mate would be and with Scarlet, Taylor has found a perfect match. Their relationship is far from easy but we don't want it to be. Watching them fall in love despite everything is where all the fun is.

As usual, there's a ton of plot, action and intrigue. There's interactions with favorite characters of past books, and ever loose thread is finally taken care of.

This book is the last in a series of incredible depths and complexities and I can't imagine reading it as a standalone. It would be like looking at the tip of an iceberg. There's way too much underneath. Take the time to read all the books beginning with my favorite Guardian, Xander, in Kiss of Darkness. I promise, you'll be very happy when you finally finish with Dance of Wings. These are stories you will remember with fondness forever. Thank you sharing your amazing world with us, Taylor.

Fated mates.
Found family.
Slow burn.
Touch her & d!e.
The last of the series.

Scarlet is trained in an academy at sage level. Which is very rare and last of her blood line. She’s a Celestrial an Angel.
She wants to seek revenge for Silas’s death (her brother). He is stuck in purgatory and can only communicate and see him through mirrors. Everytime they communicate Silas starts to crumble. She’s a badass and uses her information to get to the revenge she needs.
Lucifer (Luce) is a daemon and needs to find another daemon to share his power to get rid of Gideon. He meets Scarlet and he’s marked her soul. He wants to protect her.
Scarlet is an amazing FMC and Luce with his glitter makes me laugh. Nice to see the other characters from the other books come into play.
Loved the story and the characters. Sad to see the series end but Taylor has done an amazing job ❤️

I was honored to be an arc-reviewer for this. It is a little late, but here we go.
I really enjoyed this one. Of the Guardian stories, this one was my favorite. I really like Luc,y he is great. I also enjoyed the story, even if I felt the end was a little anticlimactic it was still good. I just wished there had been some more of it.

The ending was just great and I am happy for them. :)
