I've heard parts of M'Lisa's story of the years, but reading it in full was quite an experience--it's hard to believe one person has had to walk through so many traumatic experiences and so much pain. I love seeing how God has redeemed her story and her past and made her into an incredible woman today!

I’ve heard bits and pieces of M’Lisa’s story over the years because her and Kevin were my pastors growing up, but each time I hear it- it hits me as if it’s the first time learning of all they had to endure. Reading the things they experienced and all that they went through, it would be enough to break someone over and over again. But not M’Lisa. This could be a devastating story, but just as the title hints- this is a story of hope. Hope and restoration. The kind that only makes sense to have achieved as if it was given to them by the King of kings Himself. M’Lisa is proof that no matter what darkness life brings, God has a way out of it. Hope and peace and love are not a far off fantasy that only individuals with perfect lives and stories get to experience, but she proves they are attainable no matter what circumstances life has brought you. No matter how deep or how far off you are, there is hope. I love M’Lisa, and her beautiful, resilient spirit. She’s taught me so much, and I will carry these lessons with me for the rest of my life.
