An admitted Facebook junkie, I am fully aware that not everyone on FB is entirely honest, even about his/her real identity. Thus I was drawn to the premise of "Profile" whose protagonist Arden, aka Augustine, finds temporary solace from his emotionally abusive wife and demanding boss by creating an alternate FB profile. Initially, he revels in the attentions of some pretty forward women; however, when he lucks into friending a beautiful, kind, smart, and (most important)real woman with whom he clicks on every level, he is caught between maintaining the facade or coming clean. Great plot-line, realistic characters with believable motivations, witty dialogue, sensual/erotic language to add a little spice, and a fast-paced ending that will leave you breathless. Haydn Grey is a master at his craft, and I look forward to his next novel.

A delightful and well written story I highly recommend. Arden Chase is in a troubled, loveless marriage, leaving him lonely and in need of female affection. He opens the door for comic tragedy to ensue when he begins a series of on-line sexual liaisons with different women through a fake profile he sets up on Facebook. As he wades through the titillating waters of incognito romantic chats and on-line sex, he trips himself up through his own faulty thinking, not considering how his secret life might affect his job as art director at his ad agency. The one steadying person in his life, his growing daughter, has enabled him to maintain his marriage and job through the years until finally all hell breaks loose on-line and in real life. Will Arden find any happiness in the midst of his comic machinations in his messed up life or will he destroy what’s left of it?

This book was a lot of fun! Told in the first person, Profile is the story of Arden Chase, a man with a wife who leaves a lot to be desired. As a result of said desire, he embarks on some online shenanigans, which have many unforeseen repercussions.

Throughout the book, though, the fun part is Arden's irreverent narrative and smart-ass remarks. Profile is a quick read - easy to be drawn into, hard to put down.

I don't where to begin with this review, so I'll start with the fact that I was completely drawn in to the story. With so many of us, including myself, spending so much time on Facebook, Haydn Grey has managed to make me question who my"real" Facebook friends are.

I loved the flashbacks showing Arden's love for his daughter. the reader gets to see her grow up, and the love between father and daughter is evident.

I also loved that Grey has written the book as if he were sitting with me, telling me his story in person.

I will certainly be looking for more from this talented writer.

This is Haydn Grey's first book and he has nailed it with this novel.. Arden Chase is the hero of this book written from his POV and boy oh boy was it funny.. quirky and in places sad.. I so wanted to put his wife up again a wall and knock some sense into her !!!.. as I turned over the pages I was wondering what Aden was going to do next... you could see he was getting deeper and deeper into trouble... Never expected what Axe would do !! heart was in my mouth.. Loved the times he talked with his Daughter the love of his life... As someone who has a FB profile I have met many like Chase and I am now wondering how many of my friends are not who they say they are.. I always had a strange feeling about Joe !!! how right was I lol ???...
I was happy that he finally found JuleighAnn.. did he get his HEA you will have to read the book .. you will not go wrong especially if your on Face Book !!!!
