Heartbroken and needing a change of scenery, Robin is captivated by the rugged beauty of Patagonia. But nature is as brutal as it is majestic. There is something dangerous lurking beneath the glassy water. Something hungry. When a monstrous creature emerges from the depths, she discovers a primal passion unlike anything she's ever experienced. In this remote wilderness where nature strips away all pretense, she surrenders to a forbidden desire that leaves her craving more.
Adrian’s Blue writes the most steamy short books that are the perfect length to read on a lunch break or before you go to sleep. Her monsters are so unique that I always look forward for her next release.
To get her mind off her cheating ex, Robin and her friend have taken a vacation in a frigid, primal place. Robin is trying to forget her ex's betrayal, but she's having a hard time even surrounded by freezing air, stunning views, and dark water beneath the boat they're on.
Then something monstrous drags her overboard and now she's living the "in order to get over someone, get under someone" saying and that someone is most definitely not human. Not that it bothers her. He's feral and blazes with heat in the cold and he's showing her exactly what she'd been missing with her ex.
Yeah, she's okay with the whole thing and she's maybe contemplating planning another trip to this desolate place to experience it again. Which, right on! Live your life the way you want to and all that. *thumbs up*
The common theme of these books: Winter time Intelligence behind the monster's eyes An fmc who gets her kewchie blown out and wants more The monster in this book was literally trying to keep the fmc quiet cause she was so loud 🤣🤣 gimme a break! (🎶break me off a piece of that KitKat bar🎶)
Winter's Deep was another wild one! Robin is getting over a bad breakup and decides to go on a trip with her friend. While touring Patagonia she catches the eye of something lurking under the water!! And good for her!!! 🦭 This may be my next favorite in The Dark Season series!! 🦭
It was late in the year when I first ever read one of Adrian blue’s books. But from the first one I read, Santa’s good girl, I knew that would devour any and everything the author decided to publish!! I’ve finished 17 so far but in 2026, I plan to finish all of them because they’re just so amazing to be. The writing style is quick(which I love), descriptive, extremely steamy and the ending is almost always left finished.
For this one, I do suggest checking the trigger warnings but when Adrian started describing the water, the cold, the sensations, I could see and feel it all. Adrian blue is one of my absolute favorite authors. When I’m in a slump, I ALWAYYYSSS sniff out one of Blue’s books.
⚠️⚠️⚠️spoilers - whole story*** She is on an Antarctic tour to get over her cheating ex. She sees a half seal half man and gets pulled over board. He takes her and b@ngs her. She wants to come back again soon.

This one I have to say so far is my favorite in the series. Yes they are a bit weird, different, and just gives you the WTF factor.
Honestly for me I still think that these girls may end up in a mental institution for speaking about the experiences they have with these creatures. Do they? Maybe but that will always be a question for me.
If you think starting a story with a sweet animal meeting. Then watching it get killed slowly is a turn on. This book is for you I stopped after that. Could not tell you what rest of book is about. Will have nightmares ty very much for those.
