After losing his father, his land, and the love of his life, Arun was finally learning to move forward. Just when he thought his heart had no space for love again, Samvarshini entered his life—a gentle presence who made him believe in new beginnings. But fear still held him back. Could he open his heart to her before it was too late? At the same time, another dream called out to him—the towering peaks of Mount Everest. Conquering it had always been his ultimate goal, but was he truly ready to face the climb, both within and outside? As Arun stands at the crossroads of love and ambition, will he embrace both before they slip away?
“August Slipped Again” is a poetic rendering of love and its foibles, war, and the courage to dream again. Arun's story is one that can belong to anyone who has loved heartfully and had the courage to hope against hope — his delicate tension between a new amour (and sums of valor to scale Everest) feels genuine and sanguine. The soft presence of Samvarshini injected warmth and calm into the sometimes turbulent existence of Arun. The writing style of Mahendrawada Kamesh is almost unwittingly simple, naive even, yet perfectly molded into imparting feelings that can linger on well after turning the last page. The novel gives no answers, rather, giving readers an opportunity to understand and sit in the unrest in life, reminding us that maybe, among others, healing and seeking after dreams can lie together. For those ladies and gentlemen that embrace the concept of second chances and a little mess that is human existence, this silent yet fierce story deserves to be enjoyed.

Simultaneously, Arun is drawn to a long-held dream of climbing Mount Everest, a goal that symbolizes both personal achievement and the overcoming of his inner turmoil. "August Slipped Again" by Mahendrawada Kamesh will take you on a heart-tugging trek! This book seamlessly dives back into Arun's world of heartbreak and healing after the first installment.
The story is a gentle yet powerful journey about Arun, who has lost so much. But then he meets Samvarshini—a wonderfully kind and calm woman who slowly brings light back into his life.
His dream of climbing Mount Everest becomes this incredible symbol of strength and hope, adding a captivating layer to his blossoming relationship. The way the author ties big dreams to raw emotions is mesmerizing.
Arun's choice between his lifelong ambition and a shot at love felt incredibly real. And the writing? It's simple, but vivid – every word feels spot-on, hitting those emotional notes without ever feeling fake. You might even find yourself just stopping for a moment to let the words sink in.
What truly makes this book shine is how it smoothly blends romance with ambition, and quietly digs into themes of healing, finding your way, and those precious second chances. It's a warm, thoughtful read that’s a gentle reminder that life's biggest adventures often kick off with a little courage from the heart.
August Slipped Again* by Mahendrawada Kamesh is a beautifully written and emotionally satisfying sequel to *August Slipped Away*. It picks up where the first book left off, continuing the heartfelt story of Arun, who is still trying to piece his life back together after immense personal loss—his father, his ancestral land, and his first love.
What makes this book truly special is how it doesn’t just retell pain—it transforms it into a journey of strength, growth, and quiet resilience. Arun, now more grounded and introspective, is determined to pursue his dream of climbing Mount Everest. It’s a goal that represents far more than a physical achievement—it’s a symbol of reclaiming purpose in the midst of chaos.
Enter Samvarshini—the intelligent, warm-hearted daughter of Arun’s father’s friend. Their bond starts off with hesitation, but as Arun slowly opens up, we see a gentle love begin to blossom. What’s refreshing about their relationship is its emotional maturity. There’s a sense of calm, trust, and mutual growth between them that feels incredibly real. They don’t fall for each other in a rush—it’s through shared silences, late-night conversations, and standing beside each other during life’s unpredictable moments that their connection deepens.
Just when things seem to be settling into place, life throws another curveball. Priya—Arun’s former love—returns, grieving the death of her husband. Her re-entry adds emotional complexity and a deep layer of suspense. As a reader, I found myself anxious and emotionally torn. Would Arun be pulled back to his past, or would he hold on to the future he was beginning to build?
The way Arun navigates this emotional crossroads is both thoughtful and moving. His response is mature and shows how far he has come since the first book. Equally beautiful is Samvarshini’s quiet strength—her understanding and patience speak volumes.
The story’s themes go far beyond romance. It’s about healing, ambition, spiritual growth, and the quiet strength it takes to start over. Arun’s Everest dream isn’t just a backdrop—it becomes a metaphor for his internal journey. The climb is symbolic of the ups and downs in his life, and the people he meets along the way shape not just his physical expedition, but his emotional and spiritual awakening as well.
Kamesh’s writing is sincere and deeply reflective. The pace is unhurried, which allows the emotional weight of each scene to fully sink in. There are moments where the narrative feels slightly stretched, but those instances are easy to forgive because of the richness in character development and emotional depth.
Some quotes stayed with me long after I turned the last page:
> *“Life is too short to dwell on negativity, and there are so many wonderful moments and experiences to cherish.”*
> *“Life has a way of throwing people out of orbit in one go, spiraling everything they’ve worked for or believed in. But it’s in our hands how we deal with it.”*
This book is a beautiful continuation of Arun’s story. It explores whether love can have a second chance, how grief can shape but not define us, and how the human spirit, even when broken, can find its way back to light. Whether it’s Arun and Samvarshini’s tender moments or the philosophical reflections woven throughout, *August Slipped Again* is a deeply touching reminder of how powerful love, hope, and purpose can be.
**Strengths:**
* Rich character development * Emotionally engaging and relatable * Thoughtful exploration of love, loss, ambition, and healing * Poetic and heartfelt writing
**Weaknesses:**
* Slightly slow-paced * Some parts feel a bit stretched
If you enjoyed *August Slipped Away*, this book is an absolute must-read. It stands strong on its own, too, with enough context to bring new readers up to speed. It's a story that speaks to anyone who has had to pick up the pieces and start again, and it reminds us all of the beauty in second chances and quiet strength.
Book Review: August Slipped Again Author: Mahendrawada Kamesh For those who have read August Slipped Away, the prequel to this novel, the characters Arun, Priya, Samvarshani, and even Kamesh himself, playing the role of the author are familiar faces. However, even new readers will find it easy to follow the story, thanks to the way the author seamlessly connects past events. Thoughtfully, the author also provided a brief flashback in the Prologue, ensuring that no one feels lost. In the first book, Arun, a software engineer from the temple town of Tirupati, working in Hyderabad falls in love with Priya, a colleague and a city girl. When he finally overcomes his hesitation and gets ready to express his love for Priya, her engagement is announced, leaving Arun heartbroken. As if that weren’t enough, Arun also loses his father, his only family, and his ancestral land is forcibly taken by a powerful industrialist. Seeking solace, he embarks on a pilgrimage to Tirupati, where a profound spiritual experience reshapes his perspective. Refocused and determined, he shifts his energy toward his ultimate goal: climbing Mount Everest. It is during this phase that he finds an unexpected companion in Samvarshani. August slips away! This sequel picks up seamlessly from where the prequel left off, taking readers through the evolving bond between Arun and Samvarshani. Just as their connection deepens, the story takes an intriguing turn—Priya reenters Arun’s life under mysterious circumstances at London Airport on his way to New York. This sudden encounter sets the stage for suspense, keeping readers eager to see how Arun’s love story will unfold. The book’s cover captures this essence beautifully: a soft pink background featuring Arun flanked by Priya and Samvarshani, with the cities of Hyderabad, New York, and, ofcourse, the Himalayas in the backdrop symbolic of both his quest for conquest and the spiritual path. Kamesh, who was introduced in the first book as the storyteller, plays a more prominent role in this sequel, adding an interesting layer to the narrative. The novel weaves together three compelling themes: Arun’s ambition to conquer Everest, his romantic dilemmas, and his spiritual transformation—set in motion by the enigmatic Sadhu in Tirupati. The author masterfully balances these elements, delivering a thrilling story that is both serious and hilarious at the same time. The love scenes, whether in moments of acceptance or heartbreak, are handled with great sensitivity. One of the chapters, i particularly liked is slno.8, “Ye Tebya Lyubl,” a beautifully written expression of love. The philosophical exchanges between Kamesh and his friend Prahlad add further depth, with one particularly memorable quote from Prahlad: “What happened once may not happen again, but what happens twice will certainly happen a third time.” I can’t help a chuckle when I find this sentiment rings true for my own experience with twice reading and enjoying Kamesh’s books—Destiny Conspires and August Slipped Away, I was bound to love the third installment as well. And I did. With August Slipped Again, Mahendrawada Kamesh delivers yet another engaging, thoughtful, and well-crafted novel. I wholeheartedly congratulate the author on this remarkable work.

My thoughts💭💭 ♥️I have not fully opened up the story in my review because you readers reach out this wonderful story and experience for yourself. ♥️Author has penned it fantastic, the trekking places Arun has went are all mesmerizing and blissful. Every time you pick up Kamesh's book it's like living a life with a meaning. In every book of his, he spreads so much positivity and wisdom that you start finding meaning in your life, and you start progressing towards achieving the goals that you felt were impossible at one point in time in your life. Kamesh is the author who can give you the best advice that you find in self-help books with a twist of a love story 💗.
In this part, you will see how Arun is successfully progressing in his life while meeting new people and facing new challenges. Every time he is stuck on something, he takes advice from the author(Kamesh - who is an active personality in the books), and that always inspires him to see the problem in a new light. Also, you will see him reaching new heights in terms of his career and personal life, but what makes it happen is the main point of the story. You will also see how the author has given importance to so many things that are genuinely needed in our lives. Make bold decisions, believe in your father, listen to your elders, try hard to achieve your goals, and also take lessons from great personalities. He has keenly expressed how God helps us in different ways, in different disguises, and in different situations that we realize it is very late to thank him for the same.
Another point I liked the most was the role of Samvarshini and Priya. Samvarshini is his present, and Priya is his past. But I cherished Arun and Samvarshini's bond the most. The way Samvarshini entered his life and took it in a successful direction is just appreciable. Arun helped her fulfill all her wishes from her bucket list, and she proved what true love means, and no matter how far you are, if your hearts are connected, nobody or nothing can ruin that for you.
Julia played a vital role in the plot, as she was the unexpected twist that made this story a little more special for me.
This book inspired me to discover a new version of myself.
"August Slipped Again" is a heartfelt and emotional story about loss, healing, and finding courage to move forward. It follows Arun, a man who's been through a lot - losing his father, his home, and the woman he once loved. Just as he's beginning to rebuild his life, someone new walks in—Samvarshini. She's calm, kind, and slowly brings warmth back into his world.
But things aren’t that simple. Arun is still scared to love again, scared to hope. On top of that, there's a lifelong dream pulling at him: climbing Mount Everest. It's something he's always wanted, but it’s not just about the mountain, it’s about facing the fears and doubts inside him too.
As Prahalad said to Kamlesh that this new challenge is not something new. You already endured these kinds of challenges before. And remember, it’s about the journey, not just about the deadline or pressure to complete. Nothing is impossible in this world.
This book beautifully captures that moment in life when you're caught between holding on and letting go, between chasing a dream and staying grounded. The writing is simple yet poetic, and the emotions feel real. Arun’s journey reminds us that sometimes, life gives us a second chance but it’s up to us to take it before it slips away.
Towards the end, it was a night that they would remember forever, the beginning of a new life as wife and husband, the continuation of their beautiful love story that would transcend time and space, a love that would only grow stronger with each passing day.
If you enjoy stories about love, personal growth, and the quiet strength it takes to begin again, “August Slipped Again” is worth the read.
Book Review – August Slipped Again by Mahendrawada Kamesh
First things first—this book was an absolute delight! It’s that perfect blend of a heartfelt love story mixed with the beautiful journey of self-discovery. Honestly, I’m still unsure whether to call this a romance novel or a self-help book—because it has generous shades of both!
August Slipped Again is a sequel to August Slipped Away, but don’t worry if you haven’t read the first part—the prologue neatly wraps up the backstory and sets the tone, so you're good to go either way.
In this book, we meet Arun, and instead of Priya (from the first book), we now have Samvarshini as the love interest. I absolutely loved the honesty Arun brings into the story, especially during his unexpected reunion with Priya, his one-time crush. His maturity during that phase was commendable.
What added a fresh layer to the narrative was the parallel backstory involving Author Kamesh Mahendrawada and Praladh—a unique and intriguing touch that enriched the overall reading experience.
The story flows at a fast pace with a breezy, relatable writing style that pulls you right in. While the initial parts focused more on Arun’s internal conflict and the evolving dynamics between Samvarshini and Priya, it was the Mount Everest climb that truly thrilled me! That segment stood out with its sense of adventure and emotional intensity, making it the most exciting part of the book.
All in all, this is a one-time, easy-breezy read that’s perfect if you’re looking to explore a thoughtful duology. It’s light, yet meaningful—and definitely worth a shot!
There are books that tell a story. And then there are books like August Slipped Again—which don’t just speak, they listen. They hold space for everything we never said, for every goodbye we never gave ourselves permission to feel.
This sequel doesn’t just continue Arun’s journey; it matures with him. In August Slipped Away, I saw the ambition, the heartbreak, and the dream. But here, in August Slipped Again, I met a quieter Arun. One who’s been broken, who’s trying to piece together.
Samvarshini, as a character, is a breath of calm. Her presence feels like the kind of healing in small conversations, warm silences, and shared stillness. Just when things seem to settle, Priya returns—and that one airport scene carries more weight than chapters of drama ever could. It’s not about rekindling. But about standing at the crossroads of what was and what might have been.
What makes this book special isn’t just the love story—it’s the inner story. The conversations are deeply reflective. They didn’t feel like advice. It made me think of how we often search for closure outside, forgetting that real closure comes when we stop asking for answers and start accepting the silence.
The book is for anyone who feels too much and is emotionally connected. For those who have ever lingered in a memory too long. For those who understand that healing doesn’t always look like progress—sometimes, it’s just being able to sit with your own thoughts and not flinch. This book reminded me that not all second chances are loud. Some come gently—in changed hearts, new chapters, and conversations that leave the soul softer.
A phenomenal sequel to The August Slipped Away—this actually makes you realize why the books are titled this way.
We continue the journey with Arun, who’s now more committed than ever to his professional goals, fitness routine, and the ultimate dream: conquering Everest.🏔️
And bumping into Samvarshini? A complete blessing. A balm to his aching soul. A promise of a future filled with love, healing, and shared aspirations. What began as casual meetings over her to-do list turned into countless adventures that brought them closer in the most heartwarming way.💕
But of course, life is all about unexpected plot twists. Even as their bond deepens, fate keeps testing them—through long-distance opportunities or unexpected run-ins with old flames.
Yet, love stays true when it’s with the right person—the one who inspires you to become your best self, while still chasing their own dreams too. And thus begins an extraordinary journey up the Himalayas—into a world of breathtaking challenges and legendary experiences that only a few can even dream of.
My thoughts: I’m officially a fan of the way the author weaves philosophical perspectives into the narrative—deep, meaningful, and beautifully timed. I also loved how he continues to make cameos in the story as both a guide and observer of this rare and magical journey.
And believe me when I say—this book has some of the most heart-touching confessions and grand romantic gestures I’ve ever read. The way these moments, emotions, and thrilling adventures are written? So unique, so fresh, so deeply engaging💫

The story picks up seamlessly after August Slipped Away, diving back into his world of heartbreak and healing. As Arun sets his sights on conquering Mount Everest, he meets Samvarshini, a woman whose warmth and presence light up his life in ways he didn’t expect.
🌄💔 The way the author weaves big dreams with raw emotions is absolutely mesmerizing. Arun’s dilemma—choosing between his lifelong dream and a chance at love—felt so real and relatable. I loved how the story captured that delicate balance between holding on and letting go, chasing a dream and staying grounded.
✨ The writing is simple yet so evocative. It’s like every word is carefully chosen, hitting just the right emotional notes without ever feeling forced. I found myself pausing at certain passages just to let the words sink in. Arun’s confusion and hope, his struggle to find his place in the world—these moments really stayed with me.
💭 What I adored most was how the story never tries too hard to be dramatic—it’s honest, it’s tender, and it whispers truths about life and second chances. By the end, I was left with a bittersweet ache in my heart, reflecting on the choices we make and the dreams we chase.

After reading August Slipped Away, I was excited to continue Arun’s journey in August Slipped Again, and it turned out to be just as engaging. The story picks up right where the first book left off, following Arun as he recovers from heartbreak and pushes himself toward his lifelong dream of climbing Mount Everest. Just when he thinks he has everything figured out, he meets Samvarshini, a woman who brings a new kind of warmth and meaning into his life. Her presence forces him to make a tough choice—should he follow his dream or embrace a life of stability and love?
What I loved most about this book was how it built on the themes of the first one. While August Slipped Away was about loss and self-discovery, this sequel focuses on ambition, love, and difficult decisions. Arun’s journey feels even more personal this time, and I really enjoyed how the author balanced romance, motivation, and spirituality without making it feel heavy. Samvarshini’s character stood out to me—she’s strong, wise, and adds a whole new depth to Arun’s story.
This book felt like a natural continuation, yet it had its own unique conflicts and surprises. The writing kept me hooked, and the philosophical insights made me pause and reflect. After he got heartbroken with the announcement of his one-sided love Priya’s engagement, Arun chose to move forward in life with quiet strength. He accepted the pain without bitterness and focused on his future. As destiny would have it, life had another chapter waiting for him in New York. On his flight there, he met Priya again—the same Priya who was once the center of his silent love. But things had changed. Priya had lost her husband, Abhishek, and was now grieving deeply.
They reconnected during the flight, and what began as small talk turned into emotional conversations. In New York, Arun buried himself in work by day and explored the city by evening. Priya often joined him. They talked about life, love, and memories. She started leaning on him emotionally, while Arun remained respectful and kind. Even when she asked if he would ever leave Samvarshini for someone else, Arun stood firm in his feelings for his fiancée. He knew what love meant, and it wasn’t something he could shift with time or looks.
Instead of giving Priya false hope, he gently advised her to speak to a counselor. He shared his own pain of losing his father and helped her understand that healing doesn’t come from leaning on someone else, but from finding inner peace. This story touches the heart with its honesty. It shows how strength lies not just in moving on, but in doing so with grace, empathy, and unwavering values.
I read the first book of this duology some months back and was absolutely mesmerized with Arun's journey from a small city to a big city, falling in love, then losing that love, and again starting a new journey again. So I was a little bit more excited about this book and the title; also, the cover of the book is not helping, giving the angsty vibes.
The book starts with Arun, who is now starting another phase of his journey with a new goal and passion of climbing Mount Everest with a new friend in life. He's more determined, more mature with his past lessons, and has a lot of hope for the future.
In this book Arun and Samvarshini's relationship becomes more meaningful, and also we get to meet many other important characters in this new journey of his, and also some old characters too.
I would say this book is way better than the first book, from the writing to the mature theme of self-discovery. I love how Arun's passion never dwindled, and he kept on moving forward to fulfill it. This is inspiring. Also, his relationship and the emotions he shows are really relatable and going to make you feel the depth of it. I love the sweet ending of the story, a perfect ending for this rollercoaster emotional journey.
I highly recommend this duology, and you can binge-read the whole thing together. The story is fast-paced and quite interesting, so you would easily be engrossed and fly through it in no time.
Arun, dear sweet emotionally-damaged-but-still-abs-ready Arun, had already maxed out his tragedy quota. I mean, seriously—dead dad? Check. Land lost? Check. Heart shattered into tiny, romance-novel-sized pieces? Oh, double check. Just when you think he’s about to turn into a full-time brooding mountaineer with a beard that whispers “I have feelings but I eat them with trail mix,” in walks Samvarshini—a soft, sweet breeze disguised as a woman with the emotional IQ of a TED Talk.
And suddenly, Arun’s glacier heart starts to thaw. Slowly. Awkwardly. Like a man trying to hug a cat.
But wait—Mount Everest! Because of course, our man doesn’t just want to fall in love; he wants to climb the actual ceiling of the world while doing it. Everest is the ultimate metaphor here: huge, beautiful, deadly, and probably freezing enough to kill any romantic momentum.
What follows is a hilarious, tender, and occasionally scream-into-a-pillow-worthy emotional trek as Arun navigates the double Everest of vulnerability and verticality. Will he choose love or ambition? Can he have both without face-planting into a snowbank of regret?
Spoiler: You’ll cry. You’ll laugh. You’ll want to yell “JUST TELL HER HOW YOU FEEL, YOU BEAUTIFUL IDIOT.”
This book is for everyone who believes love can heal, mountains can humble, and that sometimes, the bravest thing a man can do is risk his heart (and maybe a few toes to frostbite). 4/5
The book just picked up where it ended in book 1 and continued with Arun's journey of life. After coping up from heartbreak, he started preparation for achieving his dream goal climbing Mount Everest and life took a sharp turn when he met his father's best friend's daughter Samvarshini from his home town. His growing feelings for her and few other important events took him to stand at crossroads to choose him between a comfortable life and his dream goal. What would be his choice? How did Samvarshini affected his life to make the ultimate decisions?
The author as usual shines with his impeccable writing skills and captivating narrative. This book is a blend of romance, motivation and spirituality. The conclusion will take us to a different world with unexpected events which can be soul-enchanting experience. The author surprised me with his sheer knowledge about many spiritual topics that dealt in the story. The motivational part of the book once again influences our thinking to step towards positivity.
I personally liked Samvarshini's character because of her efficient thinking and many of her dialogues can be saved for future references. I thank Author for giving us deep insight about how life works.
This is a must read to everyone who enjoys reading about personal development and motivation.
August Slipped Again is a heartfelt story that explores the delicate intersections of love, loss, ambition, and self-discovery. The novel follows Arun, a man healing from the wounds of his past, as he learns to open his heart again to love through the gentle presence of Samvarshini. The emotional depth is beautifully portrayed, especially in the scene where love is expressed across languages—"ya tebya lyublyu" adding a tender cultural layer. Kamesh skillfully balances romance with ambition, as Arun’s long-standing dream of climbing Mount Everest begins to take shape alongside his blossoming relationship. The character development is sincere and relatable, with honest conversations and meaningful connections that feel real. Arun's emotional honesty, especially his revelation about Priya, reflects maturity and trust in love. The subplot of Priya adds a touch of nostalgia and closure, reinforcing themes of acceptance and growth. The writing is warm and engaging, capturing both the rush of new beginnings and the strength found in second chances. With well-paced storytelling and subtle emotional arcs, this book makes for an inspiring read. It reminds us that life's greatest journeys often begin with emotional courage. A lovely, heartwarming tale.
This is a beautiful, emotional journey of finding oneself and love: Arun's story is emotionally uplifting and heartfelt exploration of healing and space. Arun's relationship with Samvarshini is also tender and heartfelt that enfolds gently through little moments of trust and care - there is a connection between the climbers that could only be achieved through time and hardships together. The climb of Mount Everest climaxes and flips the ups and downs - never more conspicuous than in Arun and his journey of discovering who he is and the spirit in which he is climbing that will impact his journey. The writing itself portrays everything succinctly with personal and authentic characteristics, making it a thoughtful, reflective, soulful reading experience. I also loved that it was breezy AND authentic and relatable. A tremendous read for those searching for something thoughtful and simple but meaningful and uplifting. It was a reminder of how the human spirit is capable of healing; finding meaning and purpose at low points. One of the most beautifully crafted narrative I have encountered and indeed has left a feeling long after I closed the last page. Would highly recommend to lovers of character-driven, romance, fiction that develops slowly, exploring their relationships, and following their characters' journey

What if the calendar could talk, and August had a story of its own, a tale of heartbreak, healing, and hope that returns just when you least expect it? this book feels exactly like that, an emotional symphony set to the rhythm of missed opportunities and rediscovered dreams.
This standalone sequel to August Slipped Away is more than just a continuation, it’s a quiet revolution of the heart. August Slipped Again by Mahendrawada Kamesh is a heartfelt and emotional conclusion to the duology that began with August Slipped Away.
The story follows Arun, who is trying to rebuild his life after losing his father, his land, and his first love. Determined to fulfill his dream of climbing Mount Everest, he focuses on his goals—until Samvarshini, the smart and ambitious daughter of his father’s friend, enters his life. As their bond grows, a new love begins to take shape.
Just when things seem to be falling into place, Priya—Arun’s former love—returns, grieving the loss of her husband. This twist brings emotional depth and suspense, making readers question what choice Arun will make. I found myself completely engrossed in finding out where his heart truly belongs.
Arun’s perseverance is inspiring, and his journey toward healing and self-discovery is beautifully portrayed. The story ends on a hopeful note, with Arun finding clarity and beginning a new chapter with Samvarshini.
The book covers are thoughtfully designed and take on a deeper significance after reading both books. Mahendrawada Kamesh has done a commendable job weaving a story of love, ambition, and emotional resilience.
I had read the first book in this duology, August Slipped Away a while ago, which I had enjoyed reading. When I got an opportunity to read the next book in the series, I jumped on it. As despite a few odd bits highlighted, there was something about the core written that drew me into the characters and flow mixed in with nostalgia of simplistic mindsets of the olden days which I want to get back into sometimes.
This book follows Arun's story with him moving forward with Samvarshini, and Priya coming back into his life again, him finding a balance despite all the odd questions thrown at him with surprising spiritual elements rounding up his whole character growth, making it a very satisfying read.
There were layers added to the story which made it more of an experience read, and I was agog with the spiritual parts, which I can't honestly comment on as they were beautiful for me to read.
The only con was there were few bits in conversations between the author and his friend Prahlad added as premonitions which transformed the story into a spoonfed discretion as without them, it would have made it a more refreshing read, else I enjoyed reading this on.

Book Recommendation - Definitely, but you might want to read the first one in the series *wink*.
After losing his father, his land, and the love of his life, Arun was finally learning to move forward. Just when he thought his heart had no space for love again, Samvarshini entered his life.
But Life slowly shifted its course, and soon he found himself on a flight to New York. In a strange twist of fate, he met Priya again—only now, she wasn’t engaged. She was grieving. Her husband, Abhishek, had passed away, and she was trying to survive the loneliness.
What began as a chance meeting on the flight turned into a quiet companionship in a foreign land. They shared meals, explored the city, and spoke about life. Priya slowly opened up. Her pain was deep, and she started seeing Arun as her emotional anchor. But Arun had already moved on emotionally—this time toward Samvarshini, a girl he truly loved and wanted to marry. He stayed connected with her, reminded her of his love, and promised to return soon.
This story is soft, emotional, and full of quiet lessons. It shows that sometimes the strongest love is the one that respects boundaries, and the kindest thing you can do is guide someone back to themselves.
August Slipped Again keeps the story going from where August Slipped Away ended – and seriously, it's just as emotional, if not more so. Arun is still trying to get over everything he went through, but now he's also going after his dream of climbing Everest. Then Samvarshini shows up, and all of a sudden, he's not so sure what he wants anymore.
I really loved how this book mixed big dreams, love, and growing up emotionally, but it didn't feel too serious. It made me think, but wasn't bossy about it. Arun's problems felt super real to me, especially how he couldn't decide between going after what he wanted and staying with someone who really got him.
Samvarshini is great. She's deep, peaceful, and has this quiet strength that makes you really want her to do well. Her relationships feel real, not fake.
The writing is simple, emotional, and quietly strong. It's not overly dramatic, it just hits you in the feels. A perfect read if you like stories that take their time, about healing, love, and finding yourself.
Sometimes, books like this just feel like a breath of fresh air instead of just a story.
