Do you ever finish a book and feel like you just spent five hours trapped in someone else’s marriage counseling session? Because that’s exactly what happened here. 😅
It started with a premise that had me interested. A husband with secrets? A wife who starts questioning everything? Sign me up. 👀
Unfortunately, Hannah ignored so many red flags that I started wondering if she was colorblind. 🚩🚩🚩 Meanwhile, Mark spent most of the book competing for the title of World’s Most Annoying Husband. Their conversations felt like the same argument playing on repeat, and by the end I was ready to file for divorce myself. 😂
There were moments that kept me listening, and I wanted to know what was really going on. The twist was decent enough, but it didn’t completely knock my socks off. Some storylines felt unfinished, and I’m still scratching my head over a few of the choices made along the way.
And can we talk about the yoga teacher? Because I’m not entirely convinced there was a reason for that subplot other than taking up page space. 🤷♀️🧘
Overall, this wasn’t a terrible read. It kept my attention, and I never felt tempted to quit. But when the big reveal finally arrived, I wanted a little more wow and a little less well…okay then. 😆
If you enjoy domestic drama, questionable decisions, and yelling “WHY ARE YOU DOING THAT?!” at your audiobook, this one might work for you. 📚🍿🤣
