Xander Kostanidis is a bastard and he knows it. He pretty much don't give a damn what anyone thinks about him one way or the other, so it's ccol. Now he's decided that it's time to get started on his dynasty and he needs to find a nice, pure virgin; because his mother would skin him if he got one of his usual skanks in the family way. When he catches sight of the lovely Bianca on the street one day, he sets out to...acquire her, by fair means or foul.
This book is a dark erotica and some may not like this (see safety below) but if you like Jordan Silver's books, you'll like this one too.
It's about Xander and Bianca, 18.
Xander was driving around in an old neighborhood and saw Bianca walking down the street. He wanted her and planned everything to have her.
He got her in exchange of her father's debt. Her father offered her as payment. He's a bastard and he's hard on her. She tried to fight him and not to like him but she still did.
There's also a very cute epilogue. Their little girl was so funny. And like what I always say, I love Jordan Silver's epilogues. Lots of kids!
SPOILERS AHEAD This was a very disturbing book. Firstly, the heroine is violently raped in the very beginning of this book by the hero. I don't mean dubious consent here, she was tied and blindfolded with a gag in her mouth here. And this was her first time. This is really hard reading and the stuff of nightmares. She is actively crying and screaming and he does not care at all.
It got much worst after that!
How can that be you say?
Her "father" sold her to cover his debts to the rapist-hero. She was to be part of his breeding program and him being a total BASTARD meant that he did not care if she wanted that or not. Sex or baby. He used her and used her and it was anything but hot. It made me sick! This was very upsetting.
To say she eventually developed Stockholm syndrome would be very accurate here. She had no choices at all. She had been abused all her life and had no kindness given to her at all. How could he even think having kids with her would be healthy? I have no idea.
Now he was willing to give her cloths to go out after he found out that her father was not her father and he had no rights to take the daughter as part of their agreement.
Ok this book was a horrible mess and given we only get a brief look into the heroine thoughts, I fear she is just settling as he is mildly better then her father. This was not a book I will ever read again and I don't like the hero at all. The heroine even tried to get away from him and he really was mad but is he for real? You rape her and expect her to stay around for a repeat performance? He kept saying he was helping her out!? Wow really? How devious a mind does he have here!? 1.5 stars and only because he becomes an ok guy towards the end. Not a keeper. I hope to read it and forget it.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This was only my second read by this author, but I can already say her books aren't for me. I usually give authors three tries before giving up on them for good, but there's no way I'll subject myself to more of her writing.
This book had the same problems I found in The Thug: alternating use of present and past tense in the same darn paragraph, confusing lack of commas - what does Ms. Silver have against them??? - and unappealing characters who seemed to have a speech impairment.
Oh, let's not forget the rape... In The Thug, at least the stupid "heroine" (Alexandra) had been lusting after the "hero" (Gio) before he took her, so one might argue she was on board with having sex with him. Bastard didn't have that tiny saving grace, because our "heroine" (Bianca) had never met our "hero" (Xander) before he kidnapped her, gagged her, tied her up, and raped her. Repeatedly. Until she was properly trained to be his everything - whore, wife, mother of his children, whatever - and stopped saying no. Disgusting doesn't begin to describe it.
The name of the books says it all. In fact, it should be called Rapist. Xander sees Bianca and has to have her. He doesn't set out to woo her in any sort of way. He just takes it by raping her and keeping her captive. And then (he actually says this) screws with her mind by making her like it. At one point he even says she is dry, but he doesn't really care. The sex was horrible, and wasn't sexy because it was pretty much forced.
Usually Jordan Silver men are a bit thuggish but are redeemable. Xander was horrible. The whole "story" was just sex...and horrible sex because of they way he was treating her. The rape in this book was NOT ok, and to have her fall in lone with him was not ok.
Hero kidnaps and rapes the heroine. The start was violent and he really didn’t care if she even enjoyed the sex. Stockholm syndrome for her, she came to accept her new reality and bore him many kids. After the hero successfully brainwashed her, he kinda loosens up on his rules a bit. Still, I found the book disturbing
Another short story by Jordan Silver. Xander wants a virgin wife and decides that it will be Bianca. He father is a drunk and gambler and owes Xander a lot of money and decides to of his daughter to pay off his debits.
Jordan Silver is a hit or miss for me some of her books are great and then some are just are not, unfortunately this book was not. I had a hard time getting over what the hero did when he first met the heroine. This book was also very similar to her Tug book. I love a bad hero as much as the next lady but there is a line when a hero just stops being a hero.
When Xander saw Bianca he made her his by any means necessary. Now that Xander wants kids Bianca is the perfect fit so Xander takes Bianca. Xander plans to make her his in every way, the more time they spend together the more Xander begins to fall in love with Bianca and he will do anything and everything to keep her. I like a dark romance but this book left me bored and not connected at all to both Bianca and Xander.
Xander Kostanidis always gets what he wants, he has worked his way through taking what he wants and now he is feeling the need to procreate. He doesn't want any woman, he wants a virgin and he acquires one.
I have mixed feelings on this one. While Xander kind of softens up, he is brutal with Bianca initially. Curt, abrupt, and takes her despite her fear. Not a favorite.
Listen linda! Linda, linda. Listen. You are not going to download this book anfd read it for literary Nobel prize words. this is pure smut. There is literally little story to speak of. He kidnapped her, wants to breed the V out of her and she eventually sees this as something she too wants badly 😂😂 wtfork 🤷🤷 it was a good 50 min read if you're looking for a written word p@rn 😂
I skimmed the first few pages in this book, and was just like "HELL NO!". Rape is just not okay. And where is the disclaimer? The presentation here on goodreads, doesnt mention the rape going on...
There is a difference between a bad boy and a psychopath. Honestly, I dont think Xander is a bad boy, I think hes a psycho.
"Psychopaths, on the other hand, are unable to form emotional attachments or feel real empathy with others, although they often have disarming or even charming personalities. Psychopaths are very manipulative and can easily gain people’s trust. They learn to mimic emotions, despite their inability to actually feel them, and will appear normal to unsuspecting people. Psychopaths are often well educated and hold steady jobs. Some are so good at manipulation and mimicry that they have families and other long-term relationships without those around them ever suspecting their true nature. When committing crimes, psychopaths carefully plan out every detail in advance and often have contingency plans in place. Unlike their sociopathic counterparts, psychopathic criminals are cool, calm, and meticulous."
-Xander, doesn't this sound alot like you?
Honestly, GET THIS BOOK THE HELL AWAY FROM ME AND BURN IT!
Okay, so I completed yet another book by Jordan Silver in one damn day.
I would like to point out a few things:
• This book, according to me, is written better than The Thug However, it is still somewhat written weirdly as well. As in, it keeps changing from past tense to present tense and vice-versa, in a single paragraph, and it can be pretty complicating.
• No commas and poor use of punctuations. What is wrong, Jordan? Why?
• My 17-year-old self is too old for the slangs and phrases used in the book. I mean what does a love button mean?
• More "fucks" and "shits" are used then I would have appreciated throughout the book (although it is a bit tamer than the previous book of the series).
• Strange descriptions are used, like "fuck hurt noises"...? What does that even mean?
• ML's POV is written as if he is conversing with the readers or maybe himself and it annoys the hell outta me.
• This book in general feels like a Wattpad smut one-shot.
• The ML has such arrogance! He points out that he is a top 3% Harvard grad yet acts like the stupidest person with a very limited vocabulary. And yeah, before I forget to mention he refers to himself as Bella figura 🤦🏻♀️
• I m curious if people actually speak like ML does because I have never heard anyone speaking like him in IRL.
• Many uses of "or some shit" and "or some fuck". Just tell me, why can't ML be certain? He isn't certain about ANY-FRACKING-THING!
• Our FL is innocent, I get it but she doesn't speak a single word in almost the first half of the story. Plus, she is a pushover. She has no personality.
• The characters are underdeveloped in general.
[can be considered as spoilers🤷🏻♀️] A few hilarious sentences I found in the book:
"... Let's go make lunch or dinner, or whatever the fuck." (yes, he actually said that!!!)
" I hope she wasn't having the Stockholm shit." (I felt like banging my head on my coffee table)
"I kept murmuring bullshit nonsense to clam her." (Firstly, I don't have anything to say about that utterance and no, I did not make the typo, that was how it was written in the book.)
Okay, now I am gonna tell you what I actually like about this book and why I gave it more stars than the prior book:
•This was more disturbing than the last book, and I live for that shit.
• I sadly am into the "forcibly breed the virgin h cuz don't want some skank mothering ML's kids" trope.
• ML has the decency to refrain from sleeping with anyone else out of respect for the FL, his future children's mother, ever since he laid eyes on her/decided to steal her.
This book was all types of fucked up, but as psychotic as Xander was he was so funny to me 😂
I left what I was doing and headed up the stairs, releasing my cock as I went. In the bedroom I stripped, climbed onto the bed and straddled her chest, the look on her face was priceless. “You rang?" I flexed my already hard cock so it hit her in the chin.
Yeah I'm a sick fuck but I like me, shit I ought to see about cloning my ass.
Quick reading, virgin heroine with Stockholm syndrome, crazy villain. This was horrible, I do not recommend it. I have nothing against the twisted books, but this was wrong. He never describes the appearance of the characters, there was no development throughout history.
I love a good smutfest in a book, author Jordan Silver gave me exactly that. Love her heroes, yes they're a bunch jerks but what's not to love in a bad boy hero? The more jerks they turn out to be the better for me, they fall harder and when they do, watch out enemies you're in for a rude awakening. Xander is beyond a mess but he's my mess😈I will definitely recommend it.
Her father is literally a police officer and he has no idea the neighbor boy is creeping into his daughter's bedroom every night? Sir?? Hand in your badge.
And then... the brain tumor? Are we serious? We're just throwing medical trauma at the wall to see what sticks?
Read this if you want to yell at a book. I'm going to go stare at a wall and dissociate.
This book is a dark exotic story. The storytelling of sexual, desireable, sensual, passionate alpha protective male, and a innocent female characters. The relationship between them grows to new heights of love for them both.
I love this book! The H starts out so hard and heartless and ends up hard and... full of heart! This is a quick dirty read but at no time do the characters feel short changed due to the length
I didn't really care for this one. Normally JS's characters are at least likable. I was disappointed in that the story basically started with rape. In my opinion there's no way to have a healthy relationship from anything that starts that way.
Definitely darker than most of Jordan’s books that I’ve read. Xander is definitely a bad boy - very jealous/possessive once he made up his mind that Bianca was the one for him. And in the end Bianca seems to agree that Xander is the one for her.
