So disappointed in this final book. We were led to believe all this time that Moses could have survived and was in witness protection.....poor Max! The first book was THE best....each one following was just a tease to find out nothing....Moses was dead sadly....not happy. Would have loved to have found out that Moses was alive!
I don't really know what to say. I'm a bit in shock of what happened. I was really expecting a fifth book. So I won't based my dissapointing on my actual review of the book. I might say it had some dark scenes. But for someone that actually lives in Juarez, well we develop a hard shell. And not a lot of thing actually causes us a really big reaction. I loved Luke, Krystal. But most of all I loved reading about Moses and Maria. We really get to know what happened when Moses, Zeno and Joker did when they first went down to Juarez and why Moses changed so much. Also happy to read about Max and Aaron. Even though we were told how everything happened i still feel I'm missing some closure. Something is still not right....... Also, did Moses really loved Max or Maria? I mean I loved Moses and Max. I didn't like Maria and Moses. I mean, I think Maria liked Moses because it was the first man that actually treated her right and Moses liked her because it was the first time he saw a girl with eyes wide open. So Max was his real love? I'm confused on that part. Please please tell me we still have another book!!!
I wish this series had a "Did NOT FINISH BECAUSE I WAS DISAPPOINTED IN THIS SERIES" - it started of strong with Max and Moses but I decided not to read the rest because the rest of the series should have revolved around other characters but brought Max and Moses back into it.
Too many spelling errors. Story was confusing in the way it was written. Yes, I read all 4 books. Didn't care for Book 3 and the way this one was written didn't flow well.
3.75 stars. Good end to this series. Hot, sexy, steamy, violent. Some parts of the storyline seemed rushed, while others seemed to drag. Overall good series.
I haven't commented until now. Overall the series was good - not great. I loved Moses and Max and I was really disappointed with what happened to Moses. I understand why Max just disappeared but it still sucked to not get more details of her life. I was hoping like many others that miraculously Moses lived and he and Max would have their HEA but reality doesn't go that way all the time does it. If there's a Cartel involved you know that their will be less than shady stuff happening. It was also good to finally understand why Moses turned on the MC. Maria's story was sad and sickening so I was happy to see that she finally got out and gets to have a normal life. I was also sad to read what happened to Zeno. Luke made the right decision in the end - he wasn't cut out for that life - he came in and did what he had to do (finished what Moses started).
I guess if they've been trying to I guess that's i was happy when i believe that maria ended up with moses and yet she was.a one night stand I can only say the whole series sucked all accept the 1st book .there was no need for a prequel. Highly disappointed not worth the money . For me at least
Good read. I really liked how we finally got the back story about why Moses flipped on his MC and started working with the feds. I really felt for Maria having to go through all of that. I am a little disappointed that this is the last in the series and we weren't given closure with Moses and Max, even with how much time and trouble Joker is really in, or with what the MC thought after Luke went in there for the last time.
My heart was in my stomach from page 1. As soon as I read the words drug cartel I knew things could not be good, but I was wondering what was so bad in Mexico that could make Moses turn to the FBI. And yup now I see why and I only wish his death didn't complicate matters.
Even the ending was awesome and I am so glad I completed the series despite my frustrations along the way.
I won't lie it took me a few attempts to get into this book. I persisted with it cause I really don't like to dnf a book when I have read the others in the series. This story seemed rushed. I'm still hoping that there will be a book 5 that will bring the series to a conclusion like she had put on the blurb of prodigal son.
Awesome series, I was hoping for more details. I hope there is another book coming I was hoping for a different ending. Overall I enjoyed reading the series. Would love to have another book to come from this series to tie up something's.
While I think this book tied up the story, I'm still feeling let down on the way the first book ended. I was really upset about that one and I'm having a hard time getting over that.
