Really enjoying this book, but about halfway through I had to give it a break.

It's all about different civilisations, some of which are very familiar to us, such as the Egyptians, and some which are not so familiar, such as the Hittites from the Bible. I learned a lot and was absolutely fascinated by the history and rise and fall of these civilisations.

History? Not quite. But if you're a mystery or a fantasy writer, and you need some inspiration for a quest of a lost kingdom or land, or you just need some good laugh over crazy theories, this book's for you.

Interessant overzicht van de grote archeologische ontdekkingen van de laatste eeuw. Maar na het einde toe gaat het wel nogal de mystieke toer op.
