The plot revolves around the concept of possibility of pure friendship between a man and a woman not necessarily leading to sexual relation.
The novel narrates that many small and inconsequential incidents in our daily life make people happy and joyous, but usually people ignores them. Instead of searching happiness outside and waiting for something joyous to happen for them, the author suggests people to look around and to seek happiness in small and minute things in their daily lives.
The novel describes the best way to lead a happy married life. The book nicely elaborates the way to deal with the expectations of the spouse, family members. The book also highlights the upbringing of the children in a right manner.
The book also highlights the fact that helping other people without seeking any return favor would be immensely satisfactory and makes life contented.
The style and narration of the theme is simple and lucid as always

Malladi Venkata Krishna Murthy (born November 13, 1949 in Vijayawada) is a popular Telugu writer. He is known for thrilling plots, nearer to natural real life. Malladi Dakshinamurty (father), Malladi Saradamba (mother)are his parents. He is the seventh child to his parents amongst nine!. He graduated from Andhra University in 1969 in commerce faculty. He worked in different private organizations up to 1972. After that he joined as an auditor in Government audit office in Hyderabad. He resigned from his job in 1986 to become a full-time writer. He has published over 150 novels through Lipi publications in the past 32 years.

అతను చెప్పేది ఆసక్తితో కూడిన శ్రద్ధ తో వింటోంది ఆమె. అతను అకస్మాత్తుగా చెప్పటం ఆపేసి ఆమె వంక చూసి..

“సారి మీకు విసుగేసే మాటలు చెప్పా కదా! ఒకోసారి ఎదుటివాళ్ళని గమనించకుండా మాట్లాడుతాను.” అన్నాడు.

“నాదీ మీ స్వభావమే, కాని మనలాంటివారిని చాలా మంది పిచ్చివాళ్ళు , సెంటిమెంటల్ ఫూల్స్, అనుకుంటారు, వాటిల్లో ఆనందం అందరికీ అర్థం కాదు”.

నిజమే ప్రస్తుత యాంత్రిక జీవితాలకి, ఉరుకుల పరుగుల సంపాదన జీవితాలకి కొన్ని ఆనందాలు అర్థం కావు. చెప్పేవాళ్ళని పిచ్చివాళ్ళనుకొంటారు.

పైన అతను – ప్రియతమ్, ఆమె – శాంతి. వీరిద్దరికి ఏ రక్త సంబంధంలేదు. ఏ బీరకాయ పీచు చుట్టరికంలేదు. కాలేజ్ లో కాని, స్కూల్లో కాని కలిసి చదువుకోలేదు. ఒక లోకల్ రైల్ లోని యాదృచ్ఛికంగా పరిచయమయిన ఒక ఆడ – మగ, ఇద్దరికీ పెళ్ళిళ్ళు అయ్యాయి. కాని ఆ పెళ్ళి వాళ్ళ స్నేహానికి అడ్డురాలేదు.

ప్రియతమ్, శాంతిలకి చక్కటి ఫిలాసఫిని అమర్చి, స్నేహం గురించి అంతకన్నా చక్కటి అర్థం చెప్పి, ఇద్దరి వివాహితులకు నిష్కల్మషమైన స్నేహాన్ని అనుభవంలోకి తీసుకొనివస్తూ, మధ్యతరగతి జీవితాల ఆనందాలను, మామూలు అందం ఆభరణంగా గల అతి సాధారణ ఆలోచనలను, భార్యని ఎంత గొప్పగా చూసుకోవచ్చో, చిన్న చిన్న ఆనందాలను ఎలా సొంతం చేసుకోవచ్చో, పిల్లల చిన్న చిన్న సరదా ఆటలు … భార్యాభర్తల అన్యోన్యత ఇవన్నీ మనకోసం పొందుపరిచి రాసిన పుస్తకం “అందమైన జీవితం”.
మన గ్రంధాలయంలో ఉండతగిన పుస్తకం, మన మిత్రులకి కానుకగా ఇవ్వగలిగే పుస్తకం మల్లాది వెంకటకృష్ణమూర్తిగారు రాసిన “అందమైన జీవితం”.
ప్రియతమ్ తనకి 50 రూపాయల చిల్లర కావాలంటూ.. చెల్లెలి కాన్పు కోసం హైదరాబాదు వచ్చిన శాంతి దగ్గర్నుండి తీసుకొని మిగిలిన డబ్బులతో పిల్లలికి చాక్లేట్స్ కొనమనడంతో పరిచయమైన ఆ పరిచయం, ఎన్నో ఆలోచనలను, ఎన్నో అభిరుచులను పంచుకొని సృష్టిలోని స్నేహ మధురిమ అంతా చవిచూసిన వారయ్యారు.

బ్రతికుండగా వెళ్ళలేనిది తరువాత తప్పనిసరి వెళ్ళాల్సినది అంటూ శాంతిని శ్మశానానికి తీసుకొని వెళ్ళి ఆ ప్రాంతంలో జరిగే ప్రతీ కార్యాన్నిచూసి, అక్కడే స్నానం చేసి రావడం .. అప్పుడు చదివిన దానికన్నా చివర్లో ఇలా ఎందుకు తీసుకేళ్ళాడో తెలిస్తే మటుకు ఎంతటి మొండివాళ్ళకైనా మనసు చలించక మానదు.

ఇవికాక వారిద్దరు పంచుకొన్న ఆలోచనలు కొన్ని ఇక్కడ…

“నా చిన్నప్పటినుండి నెలనెలా చందమామ చదువుతున్నాను. చాలామంది, కోట్లమంది తెలుగ్వాళ్ళు తమ బాల్యంలో చదివే పుస్తకం ఇదే! పాతికేళ్ళ క్రితంవి ఎప్పుడైనా తీసి చూస్తుంటే ఒక్కసారిగా చదివైనా ఆ కాలం గుర్తుకువచ్చి ఓ అనిర్వచనీయమయిన అనుభూతి కలుగుతుంది. ” అంటూ చందమామ ఆవశ్యకతని ఆ అనుభూతిని పాత్ర చేత చెప్పిస్తారు రచయిత. అలాగే రకరకాల భంగిమల ఫోటోలు, అత్యంత సహజంగా వర్షంలో తడుస్తూ, రైలు పక్కన ఇలా తీసే ఫోటోలు ఆ తరువాత చూసుకోంటున్నప్పుడు కలిగే అనుభూతిని వివరిస్తారు ఇందులో.

ఫొటోలు, ఆటలు కన్నా అభిమానం మనసులో దాచుకోమని, దానిని బయటకి వెలువరుస్తే ఎదురయ్యే కష్టనష్టాల గురించి చెప్తూ…”నువ్వు అభిమానించే రచయితని కలుసుకోకు” అని ఒకవేళ కలిస్తే జరిగే పర్యవసానం ఆద్యంతం ఆసక్తిగా హాస్యం కురిపిస్తుంది.
మాములు విషయాలు పంచుకొంటూ తన భార్య మృదుల గురించి పదే పదే చెప్తూ.. పిల్లలపెంపకం గురించి చెప్తూ, స్నేహితురాలి ఆలోచనలను పంచుకొనే మంచి స్నేహితుడు ఉంటాడు ఈ నవల్లో.

ఇంత చక్కగా అనుభూతుల్ని, ఆలోచనలని , పిల్లల ముచ్చట్లని పంచుకొంటున్న ఈ స్నేహ జంటకి అంతం లేదు.
తన జీవించిన కొద్దిపాటి అందమైన జీవితాన్ని తన స్నేహితురాలితో చెప్తూ ఆమె ఊహల్లో తన భార్యని పిల్లల్ని చూసుకొంటూ , జీవితం అంటే కార్లు , డబ్బు కాదు చిన్న చిన్న ఆనందాలు అంటూ వెల్లడించే అరుదైన పుస్తకం ఈ అందమైన జీవితం.
మనం విశవనాథ్ గారి సినిమా చూసినపుడు త్రివిక్రమ్ గారి డైలాగ్ విన్నపుడు సిరివెన్నెల గారి పాట విన్నపుడు మనకి వెంటనే ఎలాంటి భావం కలగదు. తిరిగి ఇంటికి వెళ్తున్న టైంలో ఒక మంచి సినిమా చూశామా అనే భావన కలుగుతుంది. ఒక satisfaction తో వెళ్తాము. అలాంటిదే ఈ "అందమైన జీవితం". చెప్పడానికి పెద్ద ఏమి ఉండడదు.. ఒక మంచి స్నేహం. ఒకరి నుంచి మరొకరు ఏమి ఆశించని ఒక నిజమైన స్నేహం .అది ఇద్దరి మగవాళ్ళ మధ్య కావచ్చు, ఇద్దరు ఆడవాళ్ళ మధ్య కావచ్చు, లేదా ఒక మగ ఒక ఆడా మధ్య కావచ్చు. అది అనుభవించినవారికే దాని ప్రాముఖ్యత అర్థం అవుతుంది. పుస్తకంలో సినిమాలలో మాత్రమే కాకుండా నిజంగా మనుషులు ఇలా ఉండగలరు అని వుంటారు అని నేను ఐ మధ్య కాలంలోనే తెలుసుకున్నాను. ప్రతిఒక్కరు తప్పకుంఢా చదవవలిసిన పుస్తకం అని నా విస్వాసము

Too novelistic... The book was gripping for most of the part, at one time u will definitely realize that something wrong is going to happen because any novel/life will never go so smooth.. After going through 3/4th of the book, u will understand the "inevitable" and yes your guess will be correct..

The life lead by the Male lead in the book is too optimistic and sometimes too silly. I dont understand how some one, married and leading a family life can find such things so interesting. Added to the irony, the female lead follows him blindly like a child everywhere he goes. There were some loose strings left in the plot here and there..

Anyways the book goes so smooth and you can finish it within a day if u r free or else max by 2 days.

“Andamaima Jeevitam” పేరుకు తగ్గట్టుగా అద్భుతంగా సాగిన ఒక అందమైన పుస్తకం ఇది.
పెళ్లి అయిన ఒక అమ్మాయి, అబ్బాయి — Shanti మరియు Priyatam (వేరు వేరు వాళ్లతో 🤪) — అనుకోకుండా పలుమార్లు ప్రయాణాల్లో ఎదురుపడతారు. అలా వారి మధ్య క్రమంగా ఒక సన్నిహితత ఏర్పడుతుంది. ఆ తర్వాత వారి మధ్య జరిగిన సంఘటనలు, సంభాషణలు చాలా అద్భుతంగా ఉంటాయి.
ఒకరి జీవితంలో జరిగిన అనుభవాలను మరొకరితో పంచుకోవడం ఎంత బాగుంటుందో అనే భావన ఈ పుస్తకంలో బలంగా కనిపిస్తుంది. ముఖ్యంగా Priyatam పాత్ర — తన భార్య, పిల్లలతో గడిపే married life ని చాలా అందంగా, సహజంగా చూపించారు.
పుస్తకం చదువుతున్నంత సేపు
“Priyatam లాంటి married life ఉంటే ఎంత బాగుండేది” అనే భావన రాకుండా ఉండదు.
అమ్మాయిలకు అయితే Priyatam లాంటి భర్త,
అబ్బాయిలకు అయితే Mrudula (Priyatam భార్య) లాంటి mindset ఉన్న అమ్మాయి partner గా ఉంటే ఎంత బాగుండేది అనిపిస్తుంది.
రచయిత Priyatam పాత్రను చాలా interesting గా తీర్చిదిద్దారు. ప్రారంభం నుంచి చివరి వరకు ఒక మంచి అనుభూతిని ఇస్తూ, చివర్లో ఒక మంచి twist తో కథ ముగుస్తుంది.
Telugu novel చదివే ప్రతి ఒక్కర��� తప్పకుండా చదవాల్సిన పుస్తకం ఇది.

Not worth the time

Well, this is my first book from this author..
I have expected more from him, this is definitely not his better work.
The narration and the concepts feel out-dated. It is not a comedy, not a thriller, more like a amateur's advice on the life.

One can avoid this book without regrets..

It was pulp and dated as I read it in 2023. It would have been fresh if I had read while it was released. You need to bear half the book to be able to feel the tension in the later half. Definitely not a page turner and need some patience.
