A memoir about the last, hard days of the human race. The entire planet is killed instantly by an unknown force, leaving a single survivor. Trapped in a graveyard city by fires and blackouts, they must form an escape plan when the world returns from the dead.
A well-written indie with a compelling story to boot. Nothing complicated, just zombies and death but the delivery, with humor and darkness both, is first rate.
Pretty involved for a zombie novel. Not my cup of tea that way but I can't fault the effort. Some great turns of phrase but it's more of a personal memoir than the adventure I thought it would be.
I won this book from the Goodreads give away & I feel bad not giving a great review so I'll leave it at this.. I found it extremely dull & tried to keep going but after about 50 pgs & the over detail of the writing that had progressed the story to about 1 or so hours into the time line I had to stop & give up, sorry
The last man left alive in a city, injured and alone he struggles to find a way out. It had it's moments of thrills and chills, but I couldn't stay interested and found myself skipping pages.
