Void Blade is a high-action science-fiction adventure involving massive space battles, overwhelming odds and exciting technologies. It continues the Transcended series and picks up straight after book Galaxy Bomb.
Bold action from Captain Becky Keller and Lieutenant Joe Nation in the Bael-6 solar system has sent a hammerblow response to the murderous Scions. The enemy are down but not defeated. The detonation of the galaxy bomb has brought something new into the fight.
The Scions are not a natural living species, and now their mysterious creator has taken an interest in the human Confederation. The Hyranus is coming, and it has power beyond anything known. Left unchecked, it will not only rebuild the Scion fleet but destroy humanity in the process.
Keller and Nation are given a mission with incredible scope, and if it succeeds, it will end the fight once and for all. Somehow, they must accomplish the impossible and subdue an alien god.
Anthony James spent his youth reading what might now be called classic sci-fi and fantasy books. These days, he spends time in his study with the door locked against rampant and ferocious toddlers, writing books of his own.
That's the third person stuff out of the way.
For anyone who's read any of my books, you'll know that I write action science fiction that pulls no punches and which doesn't cram the good stuff into the last couple of chapters. The action starts early and it doesn't let up. I also take care to mix in plenty of humanity. The characters I write are all distinctly believable, often facing uncaring enemies and overwhelming odds. When they win, it's because they did their best.
Go on. Punch an alien today. Better yet, check out my series of books, each one filled with action, technology, warfare, aliens and against-the-odds survival. Lots of kick-back-and-enjoy weekend or evening reading.
Something fell off, Imagine raiding your opponent's gigantic base/power plant/manufacturing plant, you could have anything you ever wish for..............but something.............
Book Five of this really fascinating space opera, about human civilization, the trials they had to go through, the never ending skirmishes and war against all alien species that want to destroy us, finally we come to the most intimidating and most powerful alien race, the Scions, after the events of Book Four, another trial, and this time a bigger ship, the likes of which, the Space Corp has ever seen, The Hydranus, a ship that maybe rivals the Death Star, in a universe far, far, far away...................
The start was a page turner, the feeling of helplessness against such a humongous structure, the desperate plan, the actual fight and............stop........because of the unpredictable nature of the psi powers, Becky Keller ordered the strike to stop, if the Space Corp. want to salvage a win.............
So a second strike was ordered, we finally read how the structure truly belies the enormity of the inside.........all the technology, the intricacies........and sadly the Space Corp failed to.......................
Ahhhh such a pity..........Book Six, I am hoping you are the silver lining.................................
Joe Action and Becky Keller saved the universe again at least for the moment until the next species comes along with wanting to extinct all humanity. Thanks for the good read.
I love a book that keeps me reading fast. It shows me that I'm caught up in the story, although perhaps not taking in everything I read! The problem with this, is that the book always ends much too quickly!
Brilliant book That well written that you feel like you are there winith Becky and Joe. The whole arena is huge and immensely believable can't wait for the next book in the series
Fast paced action and adventure make for an amazing read. Throw in some awesome characters and you can't go wrong with this book. I really like this book and I highly recommend it.
There was plenty of action in this book both in space or a sphere should I say and on the ground in the alien sphere. It's been a lot of battles going on and a lot of surprises that were not expected .
It's hard to believe every book keeps getting better and better. The only downside is, the books are too short! I wish they were about 300 more pages. All in all, highly recommended!
Author Anthony James has created another gem for the enjoyment of Sci-Fy readers of all ages. Captain Rebecca (Becky) Keller and newly promoted Commander Joe Nation, continue to fight the forces of evil that threaten Human existence, aided by special gifts and augmentations.
This work deserves the five star rating because of the nonstop action that continues to build in intensity throughout.
