This book picks up right were Capricious left off.....Jade Eby has me totally absorbed with her writing and story. Lacey is one badass woman. This short book is filled with action, suspense and thrills. It's one crazy ride and keeps getting better.



"He never saw it coming. They never do, the men who believe they're invincible. They look at me and all they see is a pretty girl. They don't see what's behind my eyes – the power I crave. They think I'm weak, that they can use me, take what they want and leave me to fend for myself. That’s always their biggest mistake. Poor Robbie… He thought he'd get away with this job, have his money and me. Not on my watch."

Lacey continues on with her notorious ways thinking she is invincible and smarter than her notorious counterparts.

She drug me in again and wouldn't let go - this authors words and Lacey!! Holy Crap!!! Like I said before Lacey can give an Oscar worthy performance! This character has a backbone of steel and a determination like no other. She has a target on Jose and an Irish drug lord and if we know anything about her it's that she didn't hesitate to take out Robbie!
What a tease! 'To Be Continued'!!! Bring on Malicious!!!
PS. this book as a playlist!! I adore when an author gives us a playlist to define the characters and show us where their (the author) mind is during writing!

It's no secret that I loved Capricious, the first in the Back to Bad series…and I have to say Jade did not skimp out on this one. This book really furthers Lacey's character and the complicated situation she has gotten herself into. Nothing is simple, especially when it comes to death, blood, and sex. (Three of my most favorite things! LOL)
Anywho, I won't post any spoilers because that would be down right mean. All I can say is…. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!

Out the gate I’m going to start with…Holy Hell this was a wild ride. Talk about a windy road…no, Jade Eby’s Voracious the 2nd in the Back to Bad Series is a mountain full of treacherous switchbacks that will shred your soul. Lacey our heroine, though she’d probably call herself a “hero” is dark baby. Probably as dark as it gets, but in a way that you can’t not like. She’s evil incarnate wrapped in a lost conscience, a smokin’ hot bod, and an axe to grind. She’s mad at the world, her lot in life, and she’s going to rip into anyone that prevents her from her goals. I actually had several moments of straight shock while reading this installment. Incredibly well written, Ms. Eby’s prose will make you FEEL something. For me it was shock, awe, pride, and anticipation for what will come next! Your mileage may vary. This read is not for the faint of heart or readers expecting a “sweet romance.” I was happily surprised and impressed with the heat level in this installment. I’d give it a solid 7.5 out of 10.

This series isn't really for me, I will not be continuing with it. There was a lot of action in the story but the overall direction is a bit too ambiguous for the second in a serial and I don't care for the heroine at all. She's a bit too rough for me. The cover art for the series is beautiful though.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite genres, the bad ass heroine. Kendall Grey did it with Hot Blooded, Lili St. Germain did it with The Gypsy Brothers and Jade Eby is doing it with her Back to Bad series. Lacey has gone from bad to worse in this second installment and I am almost afraid to see what she will do next. The chick has no conscience which is cool and scary all in one.

It's way, way too late for Lacey to back out now, not that anybody is going to let her if she tried. Things are changing quickly and she may have met her match this time around. The dumb stripper act works for some, but not others. Lacey is a smart girl and so far has gotten what she wanted, even if she didn't realize what that was just yet.

Up against her equal, Lacey now has to figure out a new plan to end up on top-literally. The book is well written and I just love how ballsy Lacey is up against these tough guys. This girl isn't backing down and still isn't letting anybody stand in her way. It is a quick read, but again chock full of action and we get some steamy sex scenes!

Are you read for another wild ride with Lacey? In just 35 pages, Eby once again packs in tons of page turning action. "Voracious" picks up just seconds after "Capricious" ends and Lacey's situation hasn't improved, but she is determined make things go her way. Using the skills she learned as a stripper, Lacey attempts to take control of the situation, but luck is never on Lacey's side. I don't think I understood just how helpful those skills would be until Lacey was face-to-face (okay, so maybe it was a little more intimate than face-to-face) with Jose, Robbie's Right Hand Man.
Head over to Amazon.com, pick up and read "Capricious" and "Voracious". Then add the next stories in the Back to Bad Series, "Malicious," "Audacious" and "Tenacious" to your to-read list. You won't regret it!

Lacey was bad in Capricious. She's even worse in Voracious!!!

Voracious picks up right where Capricious leaves off and the author does not disappoint. Holy shit, Lacey is one bad-ass, crazy bitch. She's not going to let someone own her so she's doing what she needs to do. Everything she does keeps me turning the page. She's ruthless and I only see her becoming badder. I can't fucking wait. And with that ending, I need to start Malicious RIGHT NOW!!!!

So I finished Capricious about 45 minutes ago, and picked this one up thinking "the first one was good, but there might be a second book slump" it happens with some series I've read before especially if the first book was AMAZING. I burned through this one quick, I had to see what Lacey would do next. Sure she's a bit of a sociopath but you gotta admire her grit and determination to survive! A woman's gotta do what she's gotta do to make it, and those heroines who are lost without having a man figure everything out of them kind of annoy me. I think l Lacey is kick ass! Starting the third one now!

Lacey is one bad ass! I think because the first book really took me so off guard, that I was a little more prepared for the unexpected; but Lacey never ceases to surprise. I have no doubt that she will find her way out of the precarious situation she now finds herself in. JADE, WTF!!! Girl, you have mad, mad skills! Can't wait for the next installment. BTW, Kindle Unlimited, YOU ROCK!!!

Back to Bad Series. First Jade Eby brought us Capricious. It rocked my world. Now we have this gem, Voracious. Fasten your seat belts for a fast and crazy ride. Lacey is a strong heroine. She is on a mission. The suspense is high and you will be left gasping from this well written short story. I will be waiting with great anticipation for Malicious.

The chick in this book is friggin' bada$$, seriously. Lacey, she's a surprise for sure! Cold and calculating, smart, devious. Honestly, might not be the book you're expecting but, you'll be wanting to read the next book!
