A great book with wonderful characters & some laugh at loud scenes as Kylie & her best friend Zoey get pulled into solving a mystery. An unputdownable & engaging page-turner that will keep you guessing until the very end of the story. With all the twists & turns in the novel, you'll think you have the mystery solved before Kylie does...but do you? Happy sleuthing everyone!.

🍕 Murder, Missing Persons, and… Pizza?

Life in a small town is never dull for Kylie Berry. Between running her café, whipping up new recipes, and accidentally stumbling into mysteries, Kylie’s plate is always overflowing. This time, things get extra complicated when:

A local farmer swears she’s being framed for murder.

A missing person case lands in Kylie’s lap at the worst possible moment.

Clues start overlapping in ways that make Kylie’s head (and heart) spin.

And her big plan to serve pizza? Let’s just say it doesn’t go as smoothly as she dreamed…

With suspects multiplying faster than her cupcake orders, Kylie must juggle sleuthing, baking, and keeping her café afloat—because in this town, nothing is ever as simple as it seems.

This light-hearted cozy Kylie Berry culinary mystery is page-turning with exceptional world-building and characters who are an amateur sleuth, who is resilient, witty, unique, captivating, talented, and realistic. Their journey is enthralling with a humorous, laugh-out-loud Kylie Berry culinary mystery that will have readers needing Kleenex/Puffs to wipe the tears spilling down their cheeks, a local farmer swears she's being framed for murder, a missing person case lands in Kylie's lap at the worst possible moment, clues start overlapping in ways that make Kylie's head (and heart spin, her big plan to serve pizza? I did enjoy this book but some of the moments had me asking would somebody really do that? Kylie might own a bakery but she is a terrible cook, which makes it a good job she is more known for her
amateur sleuthing skills and everybody comes to her for help. In this book that skill gets her into a lot of trouble and memorable moments that are designed to keep it might and the reader chuckling. I like the characters and it's the banter between them that makes it work. Especially as the subject matter is a bit more gorey that what you expect for a cozy mystery, with a leg having been chopped off but don't worry Kylie doesn't like that sort of thing and the author glosses over that and the trip to the morgue. The mystery was unusual, what with not having a body and spending most of the book not really sure who the victim was. I look forward to the next book.

When Kylie is working late at the bakery, she is interrupted by a woman holding a bloody axe, hanging on her door and begging for help. She just discovered a leg in the back of her truck and wants Kylie's help to prove she didn't kill anyone. With just a leg, Kylie isn't sure if she is looking for a victim of a dead body, she isn't even sure who the leg belonged too. Kylie wants to stay out of it but when even her bakery customers scoff at her response she knows she has to follow up on the clues, the clues that lead her to the golf course and a missing person. With two people missing and a number of suspects, Kylie will have to dig deep to find the killer, especially as the killer knows all about her.

The arrival, in the middle of the night, of a woman with a bloody axe, would put most people on alert. But Kylie Berry believes Maryanne when she claims she’s being framed for a crime. With just a body part and no clues, Kylie doesn’t even know if there’s a dead body somewhere, but there are reports of two missing people at the local country club. Kylie would rather be focusing on the pizza problem in the bakery, but her reputation for solving crimes can’t be ignored. It looks like Kylie’s on the case along with Zoey, Gregson, Detective Brad, and the knitting club. From stalkers to alcoholic councilmen, betrayed spouses to pig farmers, and younger girl friends to sanitation workers, the suspects are piled sky high.

I’m a fan of Ms. Winters’ Tiffany Black and Cruise Ship mysteries and thought I’d take a chance on this series as well. Despite being book 14, I had no trouble jumping right in as everything we need to know about Kylie is woven seamlessly into the narrative: diner/bakery owner who can’t cook, two devoted boyfriends, tech whiz bestie, prone to injury/assault during investigations, and definitely good at solving cases. As with Ms. Winters’ other books there’s a twisty mystery, quirky characters, lots of humor, and found family vibes. The mystery kept me guessing up until the end and was wrapped up in a satisfying way. I enjoyed getting to know Kylie and company and will be catching up with more of the series.

Every time I dive into a Kylie Berry mystery, I feel like I’m slipping into my favorite cozy café—only this time, there’s a side of pizza, murder, and missing persons thrown in for good measure. A Berry Terrible Truth reminded me exactly why I adore this series: it’s equal parts comfort and chaos, with Kylie somehow keeping her café afloat while getting tangled up in mysteries that are juicier than her latest recipe.
What I loved most about this installment is how everything kept colliding—suspects popping up faster than cupcakes, clues overlapping in surprising ways, and Kylie having to stretch herself thin between sleuthing, baking, and just trying to keep her head above water. And that pizza plan? Let’s just say I laughed, I cringed, and I rooted for her every step of the way.
I also love the way A.R. Winters keeps the small-town charm alive while raising the stakes. The mix of humor, suspense, and those relatable “oh no, not again” Kylie moments make it impossible to put down.
If you love cozy mysteries with heart, humor, and a heroine who never quits (even when the odds—and the oven—are against her), you’ll devour A Berry Terrible Truth.

Excellent storytelling! The whole thing was compelling from the start . Immersive and fun . I could tell straight away with this one ,how it would play out and there was no doubt in mind that I’d be left flummoxed and without a clue because that’s how A.R.Winters gets you . Leads you on a merry dance in a trance and then here you are this is what happened and why and you emit a sigh . A job well done and can’t wait till the next one.. But oh my I’m forgetting ,you need to know how the story plays out . Well not the plot and everything revealed ,just a few pointers around that field of play. Anyway Kylie Berry and her kitchen are drawn into mystery once more and it’s a pizza pie how someone went missing and someone …did they die? A Berry Terrible Truth indeed for this amateur sleuth to succeed . Good job she’s got her friend on who she can depend. Great writing and descriptions make for a splendid story. Divine storyline that flows just fine

This was so fun! I absolutely love the characters. And Sage.🤣🤣 When I saw this, I wasn't paying attention that it was book 14! I will have to go back and check the others out when I get a minute. I had so fun with Zoey. And what a combo of Gregson and Brad! And I'm from Kentucky so I can verify we do talk & act like this🤣. I was actually stumped a bit as far as the mystery. Not going to lie. That one threw me. I wasn't expecting it. I had a feeling of who some were that were involved but never saw that coming. It was so good. And I'm so glad of what Kylie did at the end. I liked her. I definitely want more of this series!.

A Lady with a leg and an ax come to the cafe.
The first 5 chapters are filled with mystery and laugh out loud excitement. A.R. Winters has out done herself with this book. It can be read as a stand alone, even though it is part of a series. Kylie is a magnet for trouble and her support sleuths come thru with help. Have to love the knitting club. Each twist and turn and the characters made this a stay up all night feel good book that will brighten anyone's day. Thank you A.R.Winters for a well needed laugh!

Well done!

A.R. Winters books always combine a well written story, a compelling mystery, wonderful characters, lovely settings, and, what is a big big plus, humor.

This book is no exception.

Kylie Berry and friends investigate a murder and a missing person-are they one and the same? Pinning down whodunit is not easy, for Kylie or the reader! The book had me smiling throughout, and thoroughly enjoying it. More, please!

Kylie is the owner of The Berry Home, a café and bakery. That should be enough to keep her busy but somehow she keeps finding herself mixed up in murder investigations. The first clue this time is a farmer showing up at the Cafe with a severed leg! Of course, Kylie and her best friend Zoey are up to their necks in it! Be prepared for a very twisty murder investigation, some very quirky characters, more laughs than rightfully should be in a murder mystery, a little sweet romance and a surprising ending! I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

A bakery owner has purchased a cafe next door. She focuses on the many management procedures while others step in to do the cooking/baking. Her life is full until someone shows with a man’s leg and a bloody axe. By pulling together clues that seem unrelated, and consulting with a cohort of friends, Kalie solves the mystery.

How does Kylie Berry always find herself in the middle of a murder investigation? I was intrigued by how someone came to Kylie for help this time. A murder mystery was brought to her front door. This book is funny, quirky and entertaining. I couldn’t put the book down. I had to know who the killer was and what would happen next. There were plenty of twists and turns in this cozy mystery. This series is a must read!

I absolutely love this series and well all the series that are by this author. I have read everything she writes and I have never been disappointed. This is the 14th book in the Kylie Berry series and Kylie and Zoe are at it again. Unfortunately Kylie's cooking hasn't improved much and the Ooop's board is still going strong. When a farmer comes to Kylie claiming to being framed for murder of course Kylie can't ignore it.

Kylie Does it Again

A Berry Terrible Truth is another hard to put down mystery however this book had more inconsistencies and editing issues unlike the previous of the series. At some parts it made the reader question while other though reading wrong didn’t affect the story. The storyline made the reader guess the killer however second guess it at the same time adding to the fun of this series.

Kylie might be a baker, but it seems she's always cooking up trouble - or at least, it always seems to bubble up around her.

her quieky community is populated by mischief and colorful characters.

there's always more simmering that what appears on the surface, which makes for fun reading.

This is a true whodunit, and I loved it. There were a lot of suspects, and when I thought I figured it out, it turned out not to be them. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. This book is well-written with great characters that truly complement the main characters. This book will keep you guessing and will not leave you disappointed. It is full of mystery, action, suspense, and death.

This book has a baker who makes more mistakes in the kitchen than right decisions. She is a better sleuth.than a baker. Can she find the culprit before she gets killed?.
