I wish there were more books like this one. The mc grew up in the system. The guys have depth. My favorite part was there was a baby in the mix. There are some hot moments and a few sad ones. Book ends on a high note.

This book isn’t really bad. I just am dumb and didn’t read the blurb and didn’t realize until I was reading that this was harem and I just don’t like that trope.

This is not a book I’d typically pick up, but I recently got a kindle and I’ve been in such a romance mood. I saw this one recommended for fans of the “reverse harem” trope, which I don’t think I’ve ever read that trope before, but I ended up loving this so much more than I thought I would. I don’t really read a lot of *heavy smutty* romance books anymore, not nearly as much as I used to haha, but this had an equal amount of plot and smut, and I was surprised how invested I got in the plot!!
This is a book about how this woman Beth gets involved with her three male neighbors, Cyrus, Jack and Seb. She starts working as a nanny for them because they unexpectedly have a baby they need to take care of, and then she gets romantically involved with all three of them and it’s a “why chose” romance book. I loved all these characters so much, and I loved the found family aspect of this book so much, it was so wholesome at times and so sweet 🥹😭 And I really adored all three of the men, but I’m not gonna lie, I had a soft spot for Cyrus, he’s my favorite 😭
Also this writing was just crazy addictive because I flew through this nearly 500 page book in just a few nights, I couldn’t get enough of it and I’m kind of sad it’s over haha, I just really loved their characters. I’ll have to check out the other romance books from this author! 🤭

i was a little hesitant to start this book after faking with benefits and i have to say that i’ll be sadly parting ways with lily gold.
this book was all over the place. pacing, writing, characters, plot, romance, everything. each character had their own individual problems that they never sought to resolve before establishing their relationship which created A LOT of miscommunication. all their problems could have been solved if they TALKED to one another. these characters were NOT ready to be in a relationship. like at all. go to therapy first. in addition to this, the men kept bringing up their ex-girlfriend chloe during sex scenes, romantic moments, and even meaningful moments. hated it sm, y’all have either moved on or not. also, there was no time for the characters to form a strong emotional connection. i think cyrus and beth were the only ones who were nearing that but their connection fell short and flat because it was sacrificed for seb and jack who spent a major part of the book ignoring her or being rude. like literally, seb and jack had like 2 or 3 individual scenes with her and then spent the rest of the book emotionally neglecting her (but still having sex with her like girl PLS. STAND UP!!!) up until the 80% mark. also, beth spent the entire book babying them??? she’s their daughter’s nanny, not y’all’s.
furthermore, you expect me to believe that beth does not have a single friend that isn’t a man???? PLS. all the women in this book, aside from beth, were seen as evil, ungrateful, or just downright vile. i hate when authors do this.
ultimately, this book was just a bunch of porn with very little plot or character development.

This story is absolutely beautiful. Heartfelt and remarkable. I adore each character. Seb, Cy, Jack, and Bethie are incredible on their own, but together they rock. The writing and flow of this book is done well. I absolutely recommend this book.

listen, i'm not going to say i don't trust saniya's book recommendations, but as someone who's been pretty skeptical of how corny the romance genre has become lately, i definitely balked when my bestie said i should give lily gold a try. also, pretty silly goose behavior of me to pick THIS one, because i really don't like or want children, nor do i enjoy books about parents because babies stress me out.
but this??? unexpected LOVE.
the writing was SO fun without being cringy, and the story just flew by. every character had such a nicely built backstory that was never trite or longwinded, and it made it all the more interesting to discover the ways they all complete each other. i was enjoying this book so hard that i didn't even hate the things i usually hate in books, like the miscommunication trope and, again, children.
it looks like lily has several more books in this format of why choose/reverse harem, and although i love it, part of me was weirded out that all three of the guys are just bro besties and are content to live together platonically for the rest of their lives while all smashing the same woman. is that not a little fruity??? could yall not step back and think about your straightness for a moment??
but regardless i was shocked at how fast i flew through this (450 pages in like two sittings!!) and it made me so eager to read the rest of this author's books. i definitely got my money's worth on kindle unlimited this month.

Jesus Fuck.
This was absolutely soul crushing, and also completely heartwarming at the same time. That ending, the epilogue and the bonus epilogue, were both sweet as fucking sugar, it almost made my damn teeth ache.
The relationship in this book was so enthralling to watch unfold. All of them at their own pace.
Beth is an utter sweetheart with the worst abandonment issues known to man, for such heartbreaking reasons, too.
Jack is nerdy and sexy and sweet and adorable, with his blushing cheeks and his goofy shirts.
Cyrus is smooth and funny and sexy and also just so sweet, with his seductive dance moves and his good taste in clothes and just pure style.
Seb is polished and straight and still so caring, with his prim suits and his need for absolute control over his environment.
And all of them with their own troubles, with their family, their jobs, their emotions.
They all just fit together so well.
It just took a while for them to fully realize it.
The plot was perfect. The little side problem handled in such a sad but perfect way.
The sex was hot and steamy and there was group scenes and individual scenes and blindfolds and quickies in storage closets. It was exactly what I wanted.
The relationship between them all grew so satisfyingly and they all individually grew as people so well. It was perfection.
I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about this book.
I was expecting so much less, because the covers and title remind me of a couple other authors that do RH in ways I don’t enjoy very much.
This was such a nice surprise.
I will 1000% be looking into reading more from this author.

this is like three men and a baby with ~sharing~
beth is an out-of-work nanny who lives in the same building as jack and has been pining over him every time she sees him so imagine her delight when he shows up at her door ready to whisk her off to his apartment. except, it’s because a baby got dropped off to him and his two roommates and they saw her nanny ads in the lobby. she gets the extra shock of a lifetime when the boys don’t know who the baby belongs to because they all ~shared~ the mother.
lily gold is really really that b*tch. like i hope with all sincerity that both sides of her pillows are ice cold and she gets her back blown out tonight <3 she really deserves it. her why chooses just flow so perfectly.
all three guys were such simps for beth and all unique but balanced each other out perfectly. not one of the heroes felt disjointed or like his connection with beth was weaker. beth’s whole story literally made me tear up (and i really don’t cry at books). she never felt like she belonged anywhere or was wanted and the boys were like we are going to fix that.
as always, the spice is 10/10.

Ahhh — obsessed!! This book was so addictive. I blinked and hours disappeared. Chapters flew by, and when I finally looked up, it was 3am… oops 🙊

I am a nanny and thus avoid nanny books like the plague typically but this shit got it more right than others. I wouldn't nanny for these guys (too chaotic) but I'd probably fuck them (the good kind of chaotic) so... 4 stars.

4⭐ I don’t think I’ve ever cried this much reading a rom-com.
This book is the first reverse harem book I’ve ever finished. I’ve picked some up over the years, but they ultimately never worked for me. If it’s more than a triad, I felt like someone was just unimportant, or I felt like I wanted the FMC to make a choice by the end. Not in this one. This book broke my heart – but it’s so good.
Beth is an unemployed nanny who happens to have three very hot upstairs neighbours. So, when one day Jack, the one neighbour she has a massive crush on, arrives at her apartment door, shirtless, begging for her help - how can she say no? Upstairs, she finds Sebastian and Cyrus, Jack’s sexy af roommates… and a crying, screaming little baby called Camilla.
This book is the ultimate found-family book. It’s diverse, it’s fun, it’s heart-wrenching and uplifting all at the same time. Beth is so naturally nurturing and caring, reading her story was so painful, but it was just such a beautiful read. Cyrus was so sweet, and funny; Jack is the cutest, nerdiest boy ever; and, honestly, describing Sebastian as a grumpy Henry Cavill was just rude – because, holy hell, picking just one of them IS impossible. This book is the first reverse harem book I’ve ever finished. I’ve picked some up over the years, but they ultimately never worked for me. If it’s more than a triad, I felt like someone was just unimportant, or I felt like I wanted the FMC to make a choice by the end. Not in this one. This book broke my heart – but it’s so good.
Beth is an unemployed nanny who happens to have three very hot upstairs neighbours. So, when one day Jack, the one neighbour she has a massive crush on, arrives at her apartment door, shirtless, begging for her help - how can she say no? Upstairs, she finds Sebastian and Cyrus, Jack’s sexy af roommates… and a crying, screaming little baby called Camilla.
This book is the ultimate found-family book. It’s diverse, it’s fun, it’s heart-wrenching and uplifting all at the same time. Beth is so naturally nurturing and caring, reading her story was so painful, but it was just such a beautiful read. Cyrus was so sweet, and funny; Jack is the cutest, nerdiest boy ever; and, honestly, describing Sebastian as a grumpy Henry Cavill was just rude – because, holy hell, picking just one of them IS impossible. Still, I have the biggest crush in Cyrus. I think he’s my fav.

There so much miscommunication to get through, it was hard. This was a fun book but I wish there was more to it. It felt very surface level with little connection between Beth and the guys. The pacing could have been better and it was pretty choppy from one part to the next. There was so much more that could have been explored, it’s a shame it all stayed one dimensional. The kid was cute though.

It’s very found family trope oriented. But again it was written beautifully. Lily Gold needs to release a new book every week.
Beth grew up in a foster system and has no one. She secretly crushes over her hot neighbours.
One day they have a baby left at their doorsteps and ask her for help. Since she works as a nanny. She is happy to but her crush only grows. Turns out the guys wanted her just as much.
There is a lot of family drama from all the sides. Toxic relationships, betrayal, abandonment. But together they are cute and happy.
And of course there is enough spice too👀
The ending was flipping cute af.

After I read Faking With Benefits the first day of my trip, I quickly downloaded two more books from Lily Gold on my phone before we lost service. I'm not a big fan of secret baby or surprise pregnancy, but while this was kind of both... it was also kind of neither.
A baby shows up at the apartment of 3 men who are friends, roommates, and business partners - who also occasionally share the same sexual partner / girlfriend. Turns out a former tryst got pregnant and had a baby without telling them, and is now unable to care for the child, Cami.
The guys are hopeless and seek help from their shy neighbor, Beth - who aged out of foster care without being adopted and is now a nanny.
While maybe not as laugh out loud funny as Faking With Benefits, it was definitely bingeable and re-readable. As with most reverse harems, the guys are distinct enough to play off one another's strengths, weaknesses, and quirks: Jack is the huge-but-dorky software developer who has had a quiet crush on Beth for years; Cyrus is a playboy with a secret job and hidden depth; Sebastian is a curt businessman who acts as the "resistant one" from the trio (at least for a while). Reading about them bonding with Cami was adorable (I love a single parent romance so I'm a sucker for this) as well as learning how to care for her.
I also liked the conversations it had about Cyrus' job and how it impacts consent and trust in relationships. I thought the route the author chose to take with Beth - decidedly lacking jealousy or animosity - was so different and refreshing.
