After saving Rori’s life, he walks away, but can’t forget the fear in her eyes. It haunts him, dredging up memories better left buried deep. Intrigued by her secrets, he uncovers the horrifying truth. She’s been marked for Hell, and her time is up.
Laurie Olerich is the author of the new Primani series. Part romance, part paranormal, part adventure...Three things she can’t live without! Laurie spent most of her life in the Northeastern United States and in Western Europe. She now lives in San Antonio, Texas, with her son and Dalmatian duo, Domino and Rambo. Desperate to escape the heat, she lives vicariously through Mica and her Primani by setting their adventures in the mountain coolness of New England and the rainy days of London. Before throwing caution to the wind and diving into a writing career, Laurie dedicated 20 years to her country by serving in the United States Air Force. Much of her time was spent around men with guns and cool toys...this explains her obsession with both.
Demons, Primani, and Archangels...OH MY! A perfect recipe for an action packed love story.
Rori Austin's life has never been easy. Orphaned as a child she bounced from one foster home to another. As an adult her life hasn't gotten any easier. Trouble seems to follow her wherever she goes. Nightmares and a nasty demon stalker plague her while she sleeps. During the day things aren't any better. Until Declan Manning, Primani extraordinaire, keeps making appearances. Though he's nice to look at, Rori has a hard time trusting him. Especially when he keeps asking way too many personal questions. It doesn't help his cause that he seems to pop up, at all the right times and in all the right places, saving her time and time again.
Dec has a hard time keeping his attraction to Rori at bay. He first excuses it with the fact that she's his charge. That excuse quickly disintegrates when Rori's reality becomes his own. Being Primani has given him knowledge to a few things that are happening to Rori. Yet Rori doesn't believe in demons or angels. The more he gets to know her the harder he falls for her. After his family points out how blatantly obvious his feelings for her show, not only does he admit he's fallen for her, he shows her the only way he knows how. It takes his entire family to teach her how to protect herself from her stalking demon. Are their efforts enough to keep her alive?
The easy banter and joking verbal barbs in the Primani family kept me laughing. The action kept me glued to my seat and turning the pages as fast as I could read. Even though this is part of a series it can easily serve as a stand alone novel. I can't help feeling compelled to go back and read the rest of the series, and those to come.I easily give this book 5 stars
OMG! If you have read the other 3 books in Laurie's Primani series... you will not be disappointed! She has outdone herself again! In this book, we see si much more to Declan. Now we know that he is funny, sweet, kind and total bad ass, but here we see so much more in to him. He meets the very disturbed Rory, and rocks her world! teaches her to love, trust and live. A must read! This entire series rocks hard, and I can't wait to read more!
Really really enjoyed this book. As much as I love Declan I secretly harbour the crush for Sean. I mean he is the one I truly adore.
this book we see Declan find love and passion. He finds the woman who challenges him, puts him in his place and makes him feel alive. Rori has had a hard life and doesn't trust anyone or anything really. Her dreams are as disturbing as her past. A past she doesn't remember. When she is scared she goes to the 1960's to get away. This has been occurring more and more as she approaches her 25th birthday.
DeClan has been through the ringer. He wants a woman who treats her like dirt and he is beginning to feel like his life isn't his own. So he strikes out and goes off to live on his own. Suddenly he saves someone and feels the need to protect and be with her. He feels this spark that tells him they are to be something to each other. What he doesn't know. Except Rori doesn't really trust him. He knows there is something about her that makes her special but what he doesn't know. Boy when this comes out it is a doozy.
The secret of Rori slowly unravels as the danger to her and her soul ratchets up. As this is occurring the passion and chemistry between Rori and Declan escalates. Both fighting it and one even sneering at it. But fate has other plans and when Rori is truly lost it is Declan who saves her and finds her again. This causes the passion to ignite and the two of them has their saols bind. This may not be enough to help Rori though but that doesn't deter them. As they get closer, Rori finds out more about herself and her past. She even helps Sean and Declan solve a mystery of their own. This all comes to a head and the battle for Rori ensues. Who wins? The devil or the angel?
A fast paced, passion filled book that keeps you on your toes. Declan will have you reeling for him and even swooning because of his love and protection of Rori. He is a all around easy going sweet and adorable primani but also fierce and protective when need be. He is one we all want well okay I still want Sean. I admit Sean the brooder and deep thinker is who gets me. He is Declan's best friend and soul brother. They are close and always there for each other. Even when they don't feel the other is doing right they got each others backs. A relationship that is not taken for granted and is amazing to see.
Rori there are times when you just get frustrated with her. She is stubborn and broken. Her past has made her a survivor but her attitude has alot to be desired. She puts up walls and constructs snarkiness to keep from being hurt. All the while she is hurting herself. She has her insecurities and those come through as well and as Declan shows her patience, kindness and understanding these walls and insecurities begin to crumble and we see a intelligent, stubborn fascinating woman who is Declan's equal in many ways. who he needs to keep him straight and challenge him.
The characters have you wanting more and hoping for more. The writing draws you in with its passion and sense of want. Want of love, want of redemption, want of acceptance and forgiveness. Each character has a story and we see some of their stories play out in this book. I do hope we get to see Sean find someone.
A fast paced, passion filled and action filled read.
I received a copy of Broken Souls by Laurie Olerich for free through Goodreads First Reads.
Wow! I rated this book 5 stars. I am shocked that I had not heard of this series prior to winning this Book. It is Book 4 in the Primani Series. After reading this book, I quickly went to Amazon and got the first book in the series. It was free in the Kindle Edition!!! I also bought books 2 and 3 in the Kindle Edition, which very well priced.
I loved this book and this series we get demons, Primani, and angels. Rori Austin has lived a rough life. She was orphaned and then struggled through the foster care system. She is now an adult but things are still not easy. She has recurring nightmares of a demon. Primani, Declan Manning, Dec begins popping up just in time to save Rori and asks a lot of personal questions. Dec is attracted to Rori and makes excuses as to why he is there. Rori is very distrustful and is wary of Dec’s presence. Eventually, he admits his feelings for her and he and his family teach her how to protect herself from the demon in her nightmares.
Fans of Lara Adrian, JR Ward, Donya Lynn and Nalini Singh will love this series about Angelic enforcers. Humans who have become the sword of God against evil forces, their is a cast of strong Alpha men and women to love and adore. This 4th book can be read as a stand-alone (I have not read the previous books and was never lost). In Broken Souls, warrior Declan must not only face his personal inner demons, but is also charged with protecting an innocent woman being plagued by a demon in her dreams. The clock is ticking as her birthday approaches, and the warriors must use all their skills and special abilities to solve the mystery of who and why.
I love that Declan didn't just protect the maiden. He teaches her to protect herself, allowing her to grow into a strong woman who can be an asset to the team. Romance is also part of the story, but doesn't dwarf the overall plotline. I can't wait to go back and read the first three books. Laurie Olerich has a great future ahead of her.
I NEED THE NEXT BOOK!!! LIKE NOW!!! I'm trying desperately to think of the right word and I can't - WOW just doesn't cover it. The stuff you come up with just blows me away including the fact that you make me powerlaugh like a crazy person. (and maybe cry - maybe lol) I LOVE Rori! Such a fantastic character and if I didn't love Dec already this woulda done it. Gawd he makes me melt. And Mr. Crowley - not only absolutely hilarious but MEOW!!! My absolute favorite part - "I've waited lifetimes for you." If anyone had of seen my facial expression at that moment I would never live it down. I wanted to cry / laugh / have sex (with Dec). Having discovered this series after the 4th book was released I honestly don't know what I'm going to do while I wait for book 5 - Seriously Laurie, stop everything and write!! :) Thank you for bringing these BEAUTIFULLY FANTASTIC characters to life!!!
These books just get better and better in every way, even the way they are wrote improves with each book, I just have to keep reading. I wasn't too sure about Rori she seemed a little bit too wimpy for the Primani and even they didn't seem too keen on her but as the book goes on she grows on you, I can't wait to see how she developes. Great news for Mica and Killian what a great family I just love those triplets.... More about them Laurie would be great. These guys are so sexy I find myself thinking about them at work .. Gotta read! Gotta read!
I loved this book! I didn't want to put it down! Declan falls in love, and after such a hard life Rori becomes strong and gets a chance at a happy life! The book comes to life as you read it, the scenery the characters everything is so well written!
Wow what a ride but it was great different and also would maybe help if I read the other books haha. Glad it has an happy ending! tigerbrock42@hotmail.com Received this book from Reading Alley.com for honest review.
Okay ladies if this series gets any hotter, you shoudn't wear panties to read the next book. I love Dec and I'm so happy with his story and this ending. Rory is a fragile human that gives him purpose and sets his soul on fire. This book is action packed and full of adventure, not to mention the very hot angel you get to fantasize about. This book is a definite must read
This is the fourth book in this series although it can be read as a standalone. I have already read book 1 but none other until now.
I got a bit confused with the synopsis of this one. I was expecting the story to be set in 1969 as that is how it sounded. As you might have guessed, it's not. It is, however, a fast-paced and intriguing novel as you try to figure out just who is doing what. For the first half of the book, I thought Raine was the demon!
I don't know if it is the copy that I received or not, but I found the timeline and places to be quite jerky and off-putting. One minute, you were here with this happening and in the next sentence, you were somewhere else, with someone else, saying something else with no idea of who was saying what. I'm thinking that I am the only one who feels this way due to the amount of 5-star reviews this book has but for me, I found it quite jolting.
The storyline is good and it is well-edited, with no grammatical errors that I could see. I think this series is going to be one you either love or just don't quite get. I would definitely recommend giving it a go to see which camp you fall in.
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book; the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Broken Souls is the fourth book in the Primani Series. Declan's & Rori's story. I love how all the characters from book one came together in this book. Rori is such a sweet soul, but hauntingly broken and tortured. Dec is the perfect Primani to protect her as she needs a fierce, but gentle warrior. He's the only Primani that can heal her heart and save her soul. As usual Dec will melt your heart, make you laugh and drool as you do so! He is even sexier in this book as he goes all alpha male with Rori! Laurie Olerich weaves a magical tale full of Primani, angels and demons. I'm in love with this series!
If you love paranormal hot sexy love story this book is for you . I am so in love with Declan. I loved reading how all of the characters have grown throughout the series. I truly can not wait for the next adventure of Primini sexiness. Way to go Laurie !! Broken Souls was spectacular and I highly recommend this series .
Just when you thought this series couldn't get any better, Broken Souls was released. Wow! This book grabs you from page one to the end and doesn't let you go anywhere in between. Rori and Dec's story is powerful and perfect....just what you'd expect for our favorite lovable Primani.
This is the 4th book in the Primani Series and one if my favorites! Tons of action, romance and mystery. Loved meeting Rori and sharing her and Declan's story. Excellent book in an excellent series. On to book 5...
No way can you guess this story. Keeps you guessing. I couldn't put it down. Read it nonstop. Only a few times when I had to quit for a little then right back reading. Ready for the next one.
I was given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review.

OH MY GOD!!!
Truly this was an amazing book! Truth is i have been waiting for Dec's story for what seems for ever and finally finally!!!!
Fast paced with amazing twists and turns and adrenaline rushing through my bloodstream this book kept me up all night long till i got to finish it and now i want more more more.
Demons,Angels,Archangels...everyone is in this book...(ok except God)
Laurie Olerich has managed to outdone herself in this story and she has us wanting for more!!!
I soooo love Dec ...ok ok i know that with each book my opinion changes first it was Killian and then Sean and now Dec but these men are awesome and you can't just pick one over the other!!!
This book is a departure from the first three in the Primani series in that it focuses on Dec and the new woman he is assigned to protect, Rori. While Mica and his brothers are part of the storyline, they have a much more limited role than in previous books in the series.
I really have enjoyed reading the Primani series. The characters are very well developed and continue to surprise me. Declan (Dec) has always been the fun-loving guy who loves and cares so much for the people he claims as his family. You really get a chance to learn more about him in this book and see another side to him.
Rori is a woman who has been tormented by dreams and visions for years. She lives a very lonely life with no family and limited funds. When they meet, it is clear she doesn't even have enough money for food and is wasting away. She is not one to trust others easily or to believe in demons and angels so Dec and the team have a hard time protecting her.
It is a strange journey for her into the Primani world. She learns so much more about herself and learns to care for this unique group. She and Mica become good friends quickly.
One of my favorite parts of the series is the relationships among the characters. They really have formed a family and seeing them together is fun. This story takes places three years after the last so there have been some changes for them especially as they adjust to becoming parents.
There is plenty of action and suspense as the Primani fight the demons and work to save Rori. Dec really shows just how protective he can be when he has the opportunity to get payback against a demon that caused so much pain.
I can't wait to read the next one and see what is in store for them all.
This is the fourth book in the Primani series. This one tells Declan’s story, which is much like Declan himself. Both are sweet, humorous and engaging. Readers meet a new character, Rori, who has had a very challenging life as an orphan. She lives in poverty and works very hard to care for herself. Declan is assigned to guard Rori and keep her safe, as a demon has been tormenting her. Rori, of course, does not believe in demons or angels. She has had to struggle so long that she is unsure of her belief in God. Rori does believe in the goodness of humanity and seems to attract other lost souls. Declan has been unsuccessful in his love life and is on a lonely streak of deprivation. He recognizes the kindness and gentleness in Rori and how she connects to his life force. Broken Souls is my favorite in this series. Declan is a favorite Primani as he is the most human of the group. He seems to have kept his humanity and enjoys being with humans. He’s the good guy that deserves happiness but he knows it does not come without costs. This story combines a very dark side, which threatens to destroy the light with the avenging Primani, eager to save souls. This book was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review.
I received a copy of this book in return for a fair review.
Rori Austin is a psychic who is disturbed by dreams that are often the same dream over and over. She tries desperately to write it all down when she wakes but struggles to remember any of it. This leaves her feeling like a failure as she feels she should be able to save those in her dreams. Declan Manning is a Primani warrior who meets Rori by chance and feels he has to find out what is happening and help her no matter what she says.
This is a powerful story of a battle between good and evil over a soul. It has love, romance, jealousy, good, evil, demons, angels - it pretty much has the lot. If you can get your head around the movements between times (it is explained in the story) then it is a very enjoyable story. The writing makes you clearly see and feel all the emotions involved in the story. I particularly enjoyed the gentle drift from a protector/victim relationship into something more involved. I'm sure it seemed more obvious to us as readers that it did to the characters themselves.
Definitely recommended - I actually read the last chapter 3 times because I enjoyed it so much. I had high hopes for it and was not disappointed.
Rori thinks her life is over. She is having nightmares, fugues and wakes up in the past. Declan saves her life and then can't seem to get her off of his mind. I was so glad to finally see Dec find someone to complete him. Dani and Abby were both wrong for him. Rori has been through all kinds of hell and still has a heart of gold. She just has to get past her fears and that pesky demon. I loved that Rori didn't just give up and that she found this strength to fight . Her dad was a surprise and I hope to see more of them all in the future. Sean needs to find his other half soon.
Well, brain freeze! This book was sooo not what I was expecting in book 4 of the Primani series. This is darker, more serious, more action, more Primani, more demons andddd more Declan! The author pulls threads from the previous three books and masterfully weaves them into this story that is both different and a stand alone read. A page turner that had me up all night to finish because I HAD to find out how this unpredictable story was going to end. Enjoyed it to pieces!
