This was a pretty quick read with a lot of obstacles thrown at each character. In the beginning Khalif and Lance were introduced. Some bad decisions on the boys part caused a serious accident that would forever change Khalif's life. Moving to a whole different state was what Khalif needed but what happens once you neglect to one man you looked up to as a father figure? An ad for help turned bad for Khalif's grandfather and things immediately began to change. Kara and Khalif began taking things to the next level a little to quick. Even though Khalif knew there was something not right with Kara he still took a chance only for her to set him up. His mother made sure he finally learned a lesson by not bailing him out. Kara was able to finally get a dose of karma after the things she not only did to Khalif but also his grandfather. It was a good thing he got the opportunity to meet Kida. Ugh Kara!!! That chick need some type of help. How can you ask for assistance but runaway with a dude and not even have the decency to have a talk with your child?! Being trapped in love can have a serious outcome and cause even more problems. I wonder exactly will be in store in part 2!!!

Wow this book started off great and ended with a great finale. I can't wait to see what happens next with Khalif, Kida, and Kara. Hopefully she will be able to get herself together for the sake of her son. Who could this ex be of hers tho? Ok I'm too excited about this next part I just hope I don't have to wait too long.
