A sweet and spicy friends-to-lovers romance set against the backdrop of the Australian Open, from the author of Clean Point .

In the aftermath of Dylan Bailey’s tenth Grand Slam loss, she decides to put her racket away for good. Until a tempting bet from fellow pro Oliver Anderson convinces her to give it one last shot.

If she sticks it out, and still loses the next tournament, she takes home his US Open Trophy, and is free to walk away from the sport forever. To sweeten the deal, Oliver proposes a twist—he’ll swap his racket for a whistle and coach Dylan in the months leading up to the Australian Open.

After all, with the solid friendship they’ve built, surely working together could score a game point.

They just need to keep their eyes on the ball and ignore their sizzling tension.

As Oliver and Dylan navigate the unpredictable court, they rediscover their love for the sport, but the feelings they share could complicate things. With the world watching their every move, they must ensure their partnership stays on-court.

But as the lines between coach and player blur, especially in a sport where every detail is scrutinized, keeping their feelings in check may be their toughest match yet.

"how was l ever supposed to want anyone else again when he existed?"

I think singles tennis is a fascinating sport. All the pressure on you. No excuses or anyone to blame but yourself if you lose. I love high pressure sports and I especially love reading about them.

Sports romance is my favorite sub-genre for romance. However, the plot progression and how it was paced was a bit confusing for me. First off, I like my friends-t0-lovers SLOW SLOW burn. Like excruciating slow. I like my slow burns painful, I feel like the tension is so much better when it's slow.
But can you call it slow burn when feelings are confessed 50% through the book? Maybe?

Early in the book, Dylan retires from pro-tennis. Later on, she has her big comeback and everything, but I wish there was more page time for her training and getting ready for the Australia Open. I think there was a missed opportunity for coach and player banter.

As far as my overall enjoyment goes, my expectations were mostly met. It was cute but nothing groundbreaking. But that's what I expect when I read a romance. I had the audio version of this book and the Australian accents just tickled my brain so nicely.

FRIENDS-TO-LOVERS WITH TENNIS?? SIGN ME UP. 🎾🔥

This book had me HOOKED from page one. Dylan Bailey is DONE with tennis—she’s tired of losing, tired of feeling like a failure. Enter Oliver Anderson, her ridiculously charming, slightly infuriating, and insanely supportive bestie, who throws down a bet she can’t refuse. He’ll coach her, she’ll give the sport one last shot, and if she loses? She walks away with his freaking US Open trophy. If she wins? Well… let’s just say the stakes get a lot higher than just tennis. 👀

THE TENSION?? THE SLOW BURN?? THE ANGST?? Meg Jones did NOT come to play with this one. The chemistry between Dylan and Oliver is chef’s kiss—that perfect mix of bestie banter, deep emotional connection, and UNDENIABLE attraction. Oliver is such a green flag but with just enough spice to make things interesting (the “brat” nickname? I had thoughts but ultimately, I forgave him bc… well, you’ll see 😏).

Dylan’s journey?? SO satisfying. She’s prickly, stubborn, and her own worst enemy, but watching her rediscover her love for the game and fall for Oliver in the process?? PERFECTION. And let’s not forget the Australian Open setting—I FELT like I was courtside, sweating through every rally.

I will say, some of the tennis terminology was a bit off in the first half, which might bug hardcore fans. Also, compared to Clean Point, this one felt a little less intense in terms of emotional depth. But honestly?? Still SO worth the read. If you love sports romances, besties-to-lovers, and a couple that actually communicates instead of running away from feelings, Game Point is a WINNER. 🏆

Final verdict:
🔥 Tension-filled slow burn
🎾 Sports + romance balanced perfectly
💖 Bestie banter that turns into something more
🛑 No annoying miscommunication or third-act breakup

Dylan is a talented tennis player, but she can never seem to win the finals. After yet another loss, she decides to quit professional sports—but her friend Oliver believes in her and offers to coach her so she can finally win the Austrian Open.

This is a lighthearted book with plenty of fun and spicy moments. I really enjoyed how Oliver supported Dylan and believed in her, and how he would show up unexpectedly just to surprise her. We also get to see the main characters from Clean Point.

I loved that there was quite a lot of tennis for a romance novel—it truly felt like a sports romance. I don’t know much about tennis, but I had no trouble following along.

This book is perfect if you’re looking for a sweet, cozy romance to enjoy in one sitting, without heavy drama or angst.

A slow burn, best friends to lovers, tennis romance. Dylan is always coming in second place and is about to give on tennis all together. Her best friend Oliver has to save her from herself and offers to become her coach. Watching these two characters fall for each other was top notch! Dylan is feisty and on the tougher side giving her that black cat energy which is always a nice change. Oliver is the perfect book boyfriend too. A green flag with a filthy mouth. Swoon!

You know when you’re reading a book and you can see why other people would like it, but it just isn’t clicking for you? That was the case with “Game Point” for me. It follows Dylan, a fierce tennis star, who has no trouble getting to a Grand Slam final but just can’t seem to win one. She makes a bet with a handsome stranger named Oliver: if she can win the Australian Open, she will buy him a round of expensive drinks and if she loses, she can have his US Open trophy. It’s a hell of a bet, but Oliver, a fellow tennis pro, believes in her. As Oliver and Dylan develop a friendship, he offers to be her coach, which is perfect because they get each other. But friendships between two hot people get pretty complicated pretty quickly, so Oliver and Dylan have to navigate their new coach/player relationship and their friendship (but maybe more) relationship while Dylan tries to finally win a Grand Slam.

You will probably like this book if you like:
🎾 Sports romances
🎾 Friends to lovers
🎾 Coach x tennis player
🎾 Roommates
🎾 He hears her come undone through the door
🎾 Just one time to get it out of our systems
🎾 Panic attack rep

This had so many of the tropes that I love and I genuinely love tennis and yet, it just didn’t grab me. I liked Dylan who was determined and gruff (I didn’t love that she threw a paperweight at a former coach but you know, c'est la vie). I liked that we touched on how female athletes are treated much more harshly by the media compared to male athletes. I liked that we saw female friendships among the female athletes, but everything else was kind of meh for me.

Ultimately, I just didn’t buy into Dylan and Oliver’s chemistry. You would think I would be all in on a hot, British, male tennis player but even that couldn’t pull me in. I think I struggled for two reasons: 1) we were TOLD they were good friends but I needed more showing and 2) I found some of their banter repetitive. There was a lot of talking about the bet in the beginning and then talking about how much of a brat Dylan is. Oh and the coaching started at like 55% of the way in, which felt a little misleading.

All of that being said, I truly can see why others would like it so if any of the tropes intrigue you, go check out Fairuz’s review for her more positive opinion!

Oh, and if you know nothing about tennis, I think you will still like this book. There was quite a bit of tennis in there but I think you will still understand the gist even if you don’t know what a double fault is (when you don’t get your serve into the correct area twice and therefore you lose a point) or if you don’t know how the point system works which PS, we all think the point system is confusing. You have to win a certain number of points to win a game and then a certain number of games to win a set and then a certain number of sets to win a match but the points go 0, 15, 30, 40, AD. It is a truly bonkers game but don’t be intimidated by that.

Thank you Avon and Harper Voyager and NetGalley for providing the eARC! All opinions are my own.

ok first thing is first, let’s start with the fact that i really enjoyed this book. the love story was really cute and heartwarming and i was cheering for the couple the whole time.

was i lost a bit when she was talking through her matches? yes but that is also just because i am not a tennis fan… however it did not hinder my ability to read and appreciate the story. i loveeee friends to lovers, it’s really enjoyable and i was so excited to find a sports romance with this trope.

dylan was an amazing character to read about, she was competitive and aggressive but that never took away from her anxiety or empathy and rationality. it was really fun to see the perspective of a female character who is more “tough” rather than “soft”.

oliver was also a great character. his journey to coaching and seeing him really believe in dylan was heartwarming. he truly believed in her and wanted to do everything possible to support and motivate her and it was so wholesome to read about.

the relationship between the characters was definitely in the slowburn range and that is another thing i really enjoyed, especially when it came to the publicness of their relationship. seeing the book talk about the struggles of a female athlete when it come to the double standards was a topic touched upon in a very important and great way. i would have loved to keep reading about their relationship but it also ended happily and i enjoyed the journey.

To be honest I just didn’t really care for this book all that much. I didn’t feel connected to any of the characters; and I also couldn’t quite place what exactly it was but to me it just felt like something was missing from this story. It just felt flat. Throughout reading this book I felt like the writing just made this book drag. I also had a very hard time believing the chemistry that these characters had. I don’t know, this just felt kinda boring to me sadly. I don’t hate it but I didn’t really enjoy it either. However, I did like how at the beginning of each chapter there was a song to go along with it. But unfortunately not much really kept me captivated while reading this book.

4.5 stars for Game Point! This was FABULOUS!!! 🎾🫶🏼

I am definitely back in sports romance era after reading this sizzling friends to lovers romance from Meg Jones. I seriously devoured this book, it’s so yum! 😻

DYLANNNN!!! My girl…I needed someone like you. So frequently FMC’s who are written as competitive are read as mean & arrogant …but this was not that case! Dylan’s character was fierce, determined, and her growth & mindset shift was amazing! 🏃‍♀️😤❤️‍🔥

Oliver, sweet golden retriever. I can’t get over him and how he approaches his relationship with Dylan. Gosh it was so perfect. He is a PRIME example of what to look for in a partner, and after reading this my standards have yet again been raised. 🥰❤️

This book was overall just diving. The pacing, the the dialogue, the friendships, EVERYTHING. I just loved it. I will absolutely be continuing the series. Meg Jones please continue writing books like this! Tennis is so going to be the sports romance for this summer. And I couldn’t be more thrilled!

Meg out here making me love friends to lovers?????

Dylan was so prickly and Oliver was so patient. I loved these two together. From four hour FaceTime calls to becoming her coach, these two had so much banter and tension. I giggled out loud multiple times and was blushing!! Oliver believed in Dylan and it allowed her to connect with herself and watching them slowly fall for each other was actually everything to me.

🎧 the audio was SO GOOD. Will Watt (unsurprisingly) stole the show for me. Mary Jane Wells was also so perfect as Dylan. The two of them were ACTING and I loved listening to it.

DNF @ 35%. I am unsure why it is, but this book and I are just not vibing. First, this book is so long and it feels like I read and read and read and get nowhere. This is then being compounded by the very slow burn nature of this coach/friends-to-lovers romance.

I also don't love tennis enough for the tennis scenes that are included (although I had no issue with Carrie Soto). While the narrators have such gorgeous accents, I think the audio is also contributing to the disconnect I am feeling. I have a feeling this is a me issue. If you have been wanting to read this one, definitely check it out.

I loved Clean Point, and Game Point didn’t disappoint!

Dylan is such an interesting and complex character. Her struggle with her anger and competitiveness tied in with her anxiety and struggle to handle the pressure when it’s time to go for the win was really beautifully written. Her growth from her introduction in the last book to the end was amazing and I found myself immediately rooting for her.
Oliver and Dylan’s friendship was so fun to read and I loved watching them grow together. Something that really hit for me was the emphasis on not competing in every single event in the circuit. It’s ok to pick and choose your events to get rest and make sure you show up and perform your best. That was an important lesson for Dylan to learn.

Before reading these books I didn’t know a thing about tennis, now I could watch a match and keep up!

Thank you to Avon, Netgalley, and Meg Jones for the ARC as well as Goodreads for the physical copy giveaway!

This is a story about resilience, about learning not to give up, finding inner strength, and rediscovering meaning and faith in yourself.

I really liked the core idea of this book. At its heart is a strong woman who faces a life-changing challenge. Her journey takes her from doubt and insecurity - feelings she’s almost afraid to admit to herself - toward a new perspective on who she is and how she relates to her circumstances.

One of the most powerful messages here is how important it is to celebrate your own achievements, not to diminish them, and to be grateful to yourself for the road you’ve already traveled.

On the romance side, the book beautifully portrays the shift from friendship to love, showing how two people grow into true partners.

As for the audiobook experience:
The female narration left me a little conflicted. At times, there were odd, misplaced exclamations and jarring tonal shifts that pulled me out of the story. Some of the emotional expressions also felt strange and didn’t always match the scene. The male narration worked better overall, but it still lacked a certain depth of sincerity where it felt most needed.

⭐ Thanks to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Audio Adult (Avon) for the ALC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you Avon Books for the Arc 💕

If I had a nickel for everytime I received an arc of a sequel to a sports romance series this year that ended up becoming a new favorite series I'd have two nickels.

But seriously almost everything about this book was perfect to me.

After the five star that was Clean Point my expectations for this sequel skyrocketed.

and romantically this book hit those expectations out of the park. I am obsessed with Oliver and Dylan's relationship it felt raw, real, and comfortable. In an age where enemies to lovers reign supreme and people act as though the only way to have banter and good chemistry is through misdirected hatred, Oliver and Dylan showed EXACTLY why friends to lovers is still in the competition.

Usually when I follow a MMC who is a recent divorcee we witness a lot of anger, hatred and hurt, but following one just filled with regret and genuine raw pain I found myself not just sympathetic to Oliver has an individual but I wasn't even slightly annoyed by his refusal to confess to Dylan even before the coaching aspect became relevant.

When he mentioned how terrifying it was to open his barely healed heart to another prospect of love it made me understand EXACTLY why he wasn't going to dive right in.

Same with Dylan, Meg Jones does such a good job highlighting the double standards of women's sports but she is equally as phenomenal as highlighting the beauty of being in love with someone whose first love is a career and not a person. Dylan not wanting to have a relationship when her career was at such a crossroads and having her not just perfectly communicate why but also having Oliver relay the same thoughts just as perfectly was beautiful to read.

Love isn't everything and being able to see through these two characters exactly how beautiful love can blossom in an environment where it ISN'T everything was so refreshing.

These characters felt like seasoned adults who have experienced multiple forms of heartbreak and are more equipped to handle the inclusion of romance in their life which is so rare to read of these days.

my issues, and the reason this isn't a five star is the pacing. For a story that does make it such a point that Dylan's career was such a priority to BOTH leads and with a specific dedication to experiencing Dylan's burnout in the beginning it felt as though we didn't get to experience her growth with that same amount of focus.

Dylan as we were introduced to her was already growing emotionally and evolving just purely on the events of the first book, we took so much time reflecting and experiencing her pain along with her. I wish we could have seen more of the process of getting her from a place where the court was nothing but a massive panic trigger to a place where she can accept defeat as just defeat felt like a massive jump when compared to the rest of the journey.

This book was so fun! It’s a friends to lovers, forced proximity, slow burn tennis romance. The FMC has had loss after loss at grand slam finals, and the MMC decides to become her coach because he’s looking for a change in his own professional tennis career. Their relationship was so cute and the plot was a blast to read! I am a huge fan of tennis so that definitely helped but I think any romance reader would really enjoy this book

I am such a sucker for sports romances where both characters are athletes, and this one was phenomenal. Game Point puts you in the mind of a top-ranked professional tennis player and the sheer physical and mental toll that it takes on your body. This book was extremely captivating and rewarding, and yes, the romance was adorable.

Oliver and Dylan are both successful pro tennis players, though Dylan has a notorious reputation for choking when it matters most (and as a bit of a diva). The book focuses mainly on Dylan's career, as Oliver decides to take a step back and coach her. After the two of them become fast friends, he even moves from Britain to Australia, Dylan's home base, to "coach" her. Though that's definitely not the only reason...

The two of them were such a good pair, and the friends-to-lovers here was so well done.
I loved that there was no dramatic third-act breakup or miscommunication trope-- instead, the end focuses on Dylan as she navigates the Australian Open. The author does an excellent job of building up tension and anticipation; the stakes were so high and I was so stressed that I felt like I was the one playing the match.

I just adored that the book focused on Oliver and Dylan's relationship, but gave equal (if not more) weight to Dylan's mental health struggles and battles as a top tennis player! I cannot recommend this book enough.

Thank you so much to Avon, Harper Voyager and NetGalley for this ARC!

3 ⭐️. Thank you NetGalley and Avon Books for this eARC!

Overall, I liked this book! It wasn’t anything special, but it definitely was a nice fluffy, sports romance. There was nothing that made it perfect, but it was still a nice and cute story. This was my first tennis romance, so I was excited to see something different than the normal sports that these books usually feature. I did enjoy their romance a lot and they compliment each other so well!

I felt like the pace was a bit all over the place. At times, I was super invested and at other times, I didn’t really care what was going on. The characters were flat, but had so much more potential than we saw. I think some parts could’ve been cut out and focused more on the development of the characters.

I liked that Dylan, our FMC, was feisty and ambitious and her “vicious” tendencies, but I didn’t think we got to see much of her outside of her aggressive personality as a player. I would’ve liked to see more of her personality outside of playing and her struggles. Also, with a certain person in the book, I felt Dylan could’ve easily shut that down WAY faster since she was considered to be brash and confrontational. Our MMC, Oliver, was so cute, but I felt like I barely got to know him. It would mention little things about him and his life, but then just gloss it over and not mention it again. Same as Dylan, I wish we got more of the development of them.

The book was good and cute, but didn’t use its full potential!

First off, thank you to NetGalley and Avon & Harper Voyager for the eARC!

This was a super fun contemporary sports romance! I grew up playing tennis, so it is alot of fun getting back into it and reading more about the sport (including the romance)

This is my time reading a friends to lovers trope and it is so much fun! The tension, the angst, the CHEMISTRY between Oliver and Dylan was phenomenal. Oliver is the definition of a green flag! 💚

Meg did a great job of writing about female representation in sports. How women are perceived by the media when it comes to personal life and strength and determination on court.

This was a great story about self-growth and realizing what you deserve. The tennis terminology is a little off so it may bother other readers. It wasn’t a life changing read but definitely fun if you’re looking for a sports romance!🎾

I loved the side characters! I’m now invested in their story and definitely have to go back and read it!

this was okay. not great, not horrible - truly just very mediocre. i found myself never wanting to pick this one up and that contributed to it taking me over 2 whole weeks to read.

i didn’t mind the characters (i really do love a “ruthless” anger-fueled FMC) but again, the romance was just very meh. it fell super flat to me and i never once felt the tension or chemistry between the two main characters. their dynamic felt more like platonic love rather than romantic love.

also: i unfortunately got the ick a few times & also was so irritated that the FMC did not know how to use a washing machine…. or that neither of them could cook & had to rely on her mother to give them meal prepped food.

i LOVED the tennis world/setting that the author puts us in & i really did enjoy the chapters describing the matches.

i seem to be in the minority for this one but i’m so glad people have been loving this!!

I went in with very low expectations for a tennis romance and honestly, I needed a tennis romance that felt this accurate to tennis IRL. It was a pretty fantastic representation of tennis and the actual tennis sequences were great too!

Dylan is a tennis pro who's going through a bit of a rough patch--- she is cursed with only ever making it to Grand Slam finals but never actually winning it.

The book does a great job of navigating the difficult world of professional tennis and the stakes really did feel high.

Dylan and Oliver are so perfect together and I really did appreciate how wholesome their relationship was.

I received this ARC from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

If you find yourself still thinking about Wimbledon or just looking for a fun sports romance, Game Point is for you! Meg Jones brings back Dlyan Bailey, formerly introduced in Game, Set, Match book #1 Clean Point, as the main character in this story. In this steamy, sports romance, it’s Dylan’s turn to battle it out on the court for a shot at first place, as someone who has a record for making it to the most finals but never clinching the title. That’s where Oliver Anderson, former professional tennis player turned coach enters. Oliver decides his passion for tennis has transformed from playing to helping Dylan attempt to win a title. What starts off as acquaintances helping one another, slowly evolves into a beautiful friendship.

I truly adored Oliver and Dylan’s relationship. They were genuine, supportive and communicated with each other to better themselves. As someone who has never played or read a tennis romance, I found myself fascinated by the competitive circuit. It was easy to follow along and enjoy the sport through Meg’s writing. I would definitely recommend reading Clean Point before reading this one. It gives you a better understanding of where Dylan is coming from and her background. I appreciated Dylan’s competitive, feisty side and felt like Oliver loved her even more because of it!

Grab your cutest tennis skirt, mix yourself a Pimm’s cup, and enjoy the competitive world of tennis in Game Point by Meg Jones!

Themes: Sports Romance, Friends to Lovers, Good Communication, Coach/Player, Slow Burn Love

(4.5 Stars) Game Point by Meg Jones (Sept 9, 2025) Thank you, @avonbooks and @harperaudio for the free digital and audio copies of this fantastic sports romance!

Dylan Bailey is sick of coming in second place. She’s done it in 10 different grand slam events and she is thinking about putting away her racket for good. Then she runs into fellow player Oliver Anderson at a party and he makes her a bet - stay in it and try to win her home country’s Australian Open. If she wins, she’ll have her trophy. If not, Oliver will give her his US Open trophy. Over the course of the following months, Dylan and Oliver strike up an unlikely long-distance friendship as they crisscross the globe for events. And what starts as funny text messages becomes something deeply meaningful to both of them, but when Oliver steps in to coach her, they know they must keep things professional, even as the tug toward something more becomes almost unbearable.

Clean Point was my first fead of 2025 and I have been itching to read Game Point ever since - I’m thrilled to report that it is just as charming as the first! This is peak black cat/golden retriever vibes and Meg Jones develops them beautifully as individuals and as a couple. I especially loved the emphasis on friendship as the bedrock of their relationship, making the eventual romance even more rewarding. This series has quickly become one of my absolute favorites in the sports romance world, and I’m already counting down for more.

🎧 Audiobook Thoughts: Will Watt and Mary Jane Wells do a lovely dual narration performance with excellent British and Australian accents. (11 hrs and 42 mins)

My first tennis romance!

I loved Dylan and Oliver’s individual journeys of personal and professional growth. It was especially beautiful to see Dylan’s transformation as her confidence built and she began to trust her own abilities. It was sweet how supportive they were of each other and how their romantic relationship blossomed from their friendship.

I liked that each chapter was paired with a song—it was a small detail that helped set the stage without disrupting the flow.

This is minor, but I wish Oliver had found out Dylan’s stance on kids vs no kids early on and in a natural way. Otherwise, it gives off the impression that he’ll change his mind for the right person. This may be the case in some relationships, but for many others, if they’re the right person, then they would share the same stance.

I wasn’t a fan of the friend’s storyline; it wasn’t necessary since we already see Dylan's insecurities in other ways. It felt random, especially considering she doesn’t even make an appearance until the end.

The plot was a little stale at some points. More could’ve happened throughout the book, especially when it came to the romance elements.

Overall, this was an enjoyable friends-to-lovers story, but there wasn’t enough going on.

Audiobook side note: I enjoyed Will Watt’s narration. He did a great job of capturing Oliver’s calm and protective demeanor. Mary Jane Wells was wonderful as Dylan! She really captured her humour and dramatic essence.

Thank you very much to NetGalley, Avon and Harper Voyager, and HarperAudio Adult for the ARC and ALC of this book. This is my honest review. All opinions are my own.

i enjoyed this one! dylan, the fmc is a complex character who is stubborn but a badass. oliver, the mmc was super sweet, caring, and supportive of dylan. she is her own worst enemy and very hard on herself, but i liked that as the story went on, she rediscovered her love for the sport. oliver stood by dylan from the beginning which made me love him even more. i enjoyed the texting banter between them as their friendship was developing. now, in all honesty, i don’t know much about tennis but i was able to follow along during the matches. this has humor, it has tennis, it has spice!

after dylan’s tenth grand slam heartbreak, she is ready to walk away. she is branded a disappointment from the media, stuck in her losing streak, she’s homesick, and more lost than ever. enter oliver, a fellow tennis pro and fresh from a divorce in need of a new direction. he makes a bet with dylan and steps up as her coach guiding her to the australian open. can they stay in check as player or coach or will lines be crossed and feelings caught?

tropes: coach x player, golden retriever mmc, slow burn, black cat fmc, friends to lovers, sports romance, roommates, texts and facetime calls, dual pov

I love a good sports romcom come back story and this latest from Meg Jones was chef's kiss!! Dylan is a burnt-out Aussie pro tennis star who just can't seem to win a grand slam title and is about to call it quits when she runs into British tennis star, Oliver who is also feeling at odds with his life/career.

After a meaningful conversation, the two spark a texting friendship that leads to Oliver offering to help coach Dylan, encouraging her that she still has what it takes to win. What follows is a beautiful friends to more, forced proximity, coach/player relationship that was great on audio and perfect for fans of Carrie Soto or Kirsten Dunst's movie, Wimbledon.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review! Game point easily slid into my fav tennis love stories and I can't wait to read more from Meg Jones!! Bonus: there is great mental health, anxiety + panic attack rep in the book too!

I received this as an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review. Thank you to NetGalley and HarperAudio Adult/Avon for an eARC of this book!

"Game Point" was a dual pov, tennis romance, narrated by Will Watt and Mary Jane Wells. It followed Dylan Bailey and Oliver Anderson. Dylan Bailey continuously makes it to Grand Slams but ends up losing, so in an attempt to stop her from retiring, Oliver Anderson decides to coach her. Will she finally win a Grand Slam?

To start, I think that the narrators, Will Watt and Mary Jane Wells did a fantastic job with the audiobook. They did a great job adding depth and emotion to the story. They really brought the characters to life.

As for the tennis aspect, I went into this story knowing little to nothing about tennis and was a little concerned that I would have no idea what was going on. However, Meg Jones did a tremendous job explaining relevant parts of the sport and making all of the tennis scenes understandable. Even though I don't know much about tennis, I was able to enjoy the tennis aspects of the story and I could see how it really added to the storyline.

I really enjoyed the characters in this novel. I feel that they both had pretty good depth and were relatable. I liked their growth throughout the book and I enjoyed the friends to lovers trope that was involved.

To add on, I really liked the premise and plot of this book. This was a new spin on sports romance and I liked how the story was executed. The coaching was fun to read about and it was cool seeing friends to lovers incorporated.

Overall, this was a fun read! I gave this book a 3.5 star rating which I rounded up to 4! I think tennis fans will love this but even if you don't know much about tennis, this is still a good read!
