Uncover the lies of the Enemy so you can live a life of freedom, truth, and hope.

The Enemy does not want you to be free. But no spiritual darkness, emotional weariness, or negative thought patterns can stand against the light of God's grace, truth, and hope. Sincerely, Stoneheart invites you to look with new eyes at your faith, your daily choices, and your self-image through the beautiful reality that your true identity—mind, heart, and soul—is beloved.

Wow I’ve never finished an audiobook so fast (or at all). This book cast a deep analysis of common struggles women face in a way that was so captivating, even for someone who has heard countless women’s talks/books over the years. I was not expecting this book that I picked up to see if it would be a good recommendation to the girls I walk with would completely rock my world, especially the letter on personality! Especially if you enjoyed The Screwtape Letters, I would recommend this book to anyone who feels like they have heard it all from Catholic women’s content!
Also, for you audiobook haters like me, hearing Emily Wilson read the book herself was particularly impactful! While I do want to get the hard copy so I can highlight, annotate, and spend more time on the things that struck me, I would definitely recommend this one as an audiobook!
I don’t give out 5 stars that readily, but this was easily a 5 or even 6 star read. I highly recommended the audio version, as it’s read by the author and she did an incredible job with voicing the senior demon. If you aren’t familiar with Sincerely, Stoneheart it’s basically a modern version of The Screwtape Letters, specifically written for women. The senior demon, Stoneheart, is writing letters instructing her protégé, Belfagora, how to bring their female human subject to the darkness and ultimately to hell. The letters unveil Satan’s clever and subtle tactics to sabotage our happiness, satisfaction, faith, and relationships. Stoneheart teaches Belfagora how to utilize our phones as a constant stream of distractions and noise so that the subject is unable to hear God’s voice, becomes wrapped up in what other people have and are doing, and is insecure about her appearance, life, and her own relationship with God. She teaches her to plant little thoughts of worry, fear, or anxiety after the subject has been vulnerable with someone and emphasizes the importance of not allowing her to have close friendships with other women because that can ultimately lead her closer to God. She urges her protege to make her subject compare her husband and marriage to others so that she will become dissatisfied and ungrateful. These are just snippets of an incredibly in depth and detailed description of the enemy’s plot to destroy and capture the souls of women for Hell. This book spoke to me in so many ways. I felt that parts of it were written just for me and I was surprised multiple times at how the author was able to verbalize so articulately things I have been dealing with. If you are a Christian woman, I urge you to read or listen to this. It will change you. It will convict you. It will prepare you to defend yourself against Satan and his army of demons, something we should be doing at all times. Satan is ALWAYS plotting, always planting seeds of doubt, hatred, comparison, envy, insecurity, and distraction in our lives. If we just had the eyes and awareness to see it, we would be so much better able to overcome it.
I enjoyed this more than The Screwtape Letters. CS Lewis is just too verbose for me. Emily’s style suited me better. This book really got me to put my phone down and look into my children’s eyes more. I especially loved the part about being beloved, without having to earn it. I also liked how she described women's cycles as what enables humanity to keep going.
Amazing perspective. Very insightful. An uncovering of the enemies tactics, many of which we easily and naively fall into. Read with my teen daughters and it gave space for a lot of really great conversations.
This book is great but I think it lacks some depth and misses the mark just ever so slightly. My biggest criticism is that it spends a lot of time demonizing things and making things that are not inherently sinful, sinful: the phone, enneagrams and personality test, etc. While all of these things can be used in sinful ways I think the point needs to be that the devil’s biggest tactic is taking things that were created with no intention of evil and twisting them into evil. This was CS Lewis’s biggest point in the Screwtape Letters and was constantly harped on. Always a little bit of lie in the Truth to coax you away. I did feel heavy conviction in quite a few of these letters especially the family size one. Overall very happy I have read this and would recommend this to all of my Catholic girlfriends
This book offers a unique and challenging perspective on life for Christian women. It is an eye-opening look at God's beautiful plan for each one of His daughters, and at the many lies and strategies used by the Enemy to keep us from that life of freedom. The author's style is clear, engaging, and to the point. Very helpful.
