A charming billionaire winemaker with a broken heart.
An assistant DA who's sick of the men interfering in her cases.
And the Wicked Winemaker’s auction that changes everything….
RIDGE
My family started Ridge Winery, so I’m no stranger to getting what I want. But I was shot down, turned down by a woman I thought was mine. That’s old news now, though. Water under the bridge. I’m not one to wallow or get discouraged—not my style, not my thing. This auction is everything I tried to avoid, and everything I needed. But I’m determined to make the sassy DA see me in a new light. Let’s just see how wicked it’s really going to get….
SERAPHINA
I don’t care how irresistible they are. The so-called good guys shouldn’t be butting into our cases. This isn’t a game of cops and robbers. This is real danger and real lives are on the line. But when it’s my life that hangs in the balance, there’s only one man I trust, one man who can save me. And believe me, he’d climb to the top of the ridge to protect me.
I thoroughly enjoyed every single minute of Ridge and Seraphina's story. Taut tension and thrilling suspense are skillfully combined with enticing drama and rich emotion to create a potent, sinfully smooth and seductive read that sends your pulse racing and steals your breath. I'm already eagerly anticipating book three! This is my freely posted, frank review.
"Ridge's Release" (Wicked Winemakers: First Label Book 2) by Heather Slade was a terrific read. I loved Noah and Seraphina's story. This story had romance, passion, suspense, action, entertaining characters, close friends and family, twists, and more. This was a great addition to this series. I can't wait to see what happens next. Highly recommend it to all fans of romance, suspense, and series.
The second installment in the Wicked Bachelor series does not disappoint. You pick up with the Los Cab heroes dodging the crafty and spunky ADA Seraphina. However things take a personal turn when Sera’s sister disappears and she has to turn to Noah for help. As the action unfolds, a few of your favorite characters come to the call of aid from Butler Ranch, K19 and one of the new K19 shadow teams. Easter eggs for that new team will have you highly anticipating those books too. Noah and Sera’s story will have you grasping for more and unable to put the book down. Heather Slade will emerge you in her world and you won’t want to leave as you try to devour every word she writes. Excellence at its finest!
Loved this book and could not put it down. To watch the chemistry go from dislike to love between Noah and Seraphina was astounding. So much storyline was packed into this single book between revenge, human trafficking, blackmail and ultimately loyalty and love that you can't help read the book in a single sitting. Absolutely love when characters from other series are brought in to he books so you can get a view into their current lives. Can't wait for next book to see how Press and Luisa play out.

Ridge and Seraphina’s do not start off on the right foot, but Seraphina needs his help. Ridge is not a man who turns down anyone in need. Seraphina’s sister has disappeared, and it will take the cooperation of many good folks to find out what happened. This story is a delight. It brings some of the people from Heather Slade’s various romantic suspense series together. Where is Seraphina’s sister, and can Ridge help find her? Evil is at work, and lives are on the line. I enjoyed this story and would recommend it to those who like romantic suspense. Seraphina has a sister to find, but she also has another surprise, waiting in the wind. It seems that slime is everywhere, but Seraphina has love and good friends on her side, too.
This is the second book in the Wicked Winemakers: First Label series with an older sexy guy and the girl that knocks him back a few paces. Seraphina is the acting ADA growing up part of the wine business working it with her father before losing her vineyards after an accident which eventually took her from her and so giving a job to take down the Los Caballeros group which she is excited to do since she blames them partly however, one main issue is there is no evidence basically there is nothing indicating they have done anything illegal. Noah sexy as all get out Los Caballeros team gearing up for the bid notices his old flame but she hasn’t gotten over what they have been through they dated before her father got sick, his father stepping in to take their vineyards add to that all the secrets they are hiding but right now she doesn’t care about the job she is there to do or working with the one man she hates to love because finding her sister is her one and only goal so winning the bid will force him to send time with her but with all the history between will they be able to get along long enough to find her sister, will they even help her find her sister, will they have to face the secrets lurking around them, will they navigate the danger headed to their way, and can they find happiness the second time around?.

Seraphina Reeve is the assistant DA and her boss has assigned a task force to investigate the Los Caballeros. The thing is the task force consists of her, and there is no evidence whatsoever that the Los Caballeros even exist. Her boss also wants her to prosecute Brix Avila who is the supposed head of this secret society. Unable to reach Brix she arranges to meet Noah Ridge for breakfast. Now before she even gets there her mother informs her that her sister Louisa is missing. She wants to ask for help but makes the mistake of putting her job first and Noah just laughs and leaves.
Trying to contact Noah becomes an impossible feat, he won't answer her calls, and no one's talking. That is until she calls the sheriff, he tells her he's at the winemaker's ball. She quickly checks online for a ticket and gets ready for the ball. This could be an expensive way to get the help she needs. Ten thousand dollars later and she's won Noah Ridge's date. Only he's not happy about it.
After a brief argument she agrees to go with him to talk about her sister's disappearance.
Ridge immediately calls the available Los Caballeros; they meet and form a plan to find Luisa.
This becomes far more complicated, and along the way Ridge discovers he really likes Seraphina. They just have to figure out a few things. Well more than just a few.
There's plenty of action, suspense and romance in this one. Including hints on the next book. I can't wait!
This is the second book in the Wicked Winemakers series. Can be read as a stand alone. All of the Heroes are connected to the wine industry, most of their families have a winery. They're also members of a secret society that does good deeds, like find missing siblings, but when that gets dicey they turn that over to their friends at K19, (which btw is like 3 other great series by this author) this way everything is legal. Noah Ridge crosses paths with ADA Seraphina Reeve, who's been told to indite Los Caballeros, the security society Ridge belongs to. Research that she did shows nothing illegal had been carried out, but well an order is an order. Then there's the tiny little problem of her missing sister, who wouldn't just drop off the face of the earth for no reason. As Ridge and the Los Cabs search for her sister, they are lead to Mexico and abroad. But Ridge and Sera are starting to wind their own path to a relationship, despite the fact her mother hates the Ridge family, and Noah's trying to get to the bottom of what really happened when his father bought the Reeve's failing winery. Another win for Ms. Slade, look forward to her next book in any series. I've completed one series and working my way through the rest. I received this book as an ARC for a honest and voluntary review.
Seraphina is the ADA and has been assigned by the DA a case to bring down the Los Caballaros, a group that has been around for centuries that helps those in need. She schedules a meeting with Noah Ridge, of the Ridge Winery. She makes him mad in less than five minutes and he leaves her at the restaurant.
It is not long when she needs help from the group she has been assigned to bring down. She bids on him at a charity auction to get him to talk to her. Her sister is missing she needs the Los Caballaros help.
This is a slow burn, there are thing that may interfere, secrets to unravel, and a sister to save. I loved this story, the author also bring in characters from other series. Cannot wait for the next one.
I received an Advance Readers Copy of this book with no obligation to write a review.
Seraphina is the ADA, but grew up in the wine industry. Many do not know this as her father lost the vineyards after an accident which left him in a coma for 4 years, after which he passed.
She is tasked with taking down the Los Caballeros group. Though, there is no real evidence they even exist. She targets Noah Ridge, who does his best to avoid her. Seraphina has to win his bid in the fund-raising auction to get time with him. If you’ve read other stories in this series, this story runs “parallel” to the others, with the auction playing a key role. I love when that happens.
When danger rears its ugly head, and Sera needs the Los Caballeros to help save her sister, will they risk everything to help the person who may be setting a trap?
Exciting, romantic, action-packed, and a great read!!
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
A*R*C for honest review with no compensation Received from BookSprout
Ridge’s Release is book 2 in the Wicked Winemakers: First Label series by Heather Slade and a great continuation to this series.
Up next is Noah “Ridge” Ridge and Seraphina “Sera” Reeve story. Sera, ADA is determined to bring down the Los Caballeros, the secret society which Ridge is apart of along with his family, Avila family and others. When her sister goes missing who does she turn to for help…Ridge.
What happens next will keep you on the edge of your seat, reading late into the night, action, mystery, revenge, blackmail, Butler Ranch, K19 shadow teams, MI6 all come to help. Glad to see old friends from other series as they interconnect with the Wicked Winemakers!! Ms. Slade hurry with the next book in this series…;)
An Exciting addition to the Wicked Winemakers series. This is Noah Ridge and Seraphina’s story. Sera is the assistant district attorney in San Luis Obispo County and her boss is determined to bring down the Los Caballeros, a secret society of which there is no proof. When Sera’s sister goes missing she knows there’s only one person who can help her — Ridge. A very exciting and emotional storyline with suspense, human traffickers, trust issues and finding love that keeps you turning page after page. The main characters, as well as the secondary ones are well developed, believable and intriguing. I loved this story and can’t wait for Press’s story next.

Exciting, sexy story from start to finish. Just what I have come to expect from this amazing author. I only started reading Heather Slade a couple of years ago, but I have never picked up a new release and been disappointed. The second book in her long-awaited series of the Sexy Alpha Boys next door is well worth it.
Ridge and Sera's story starts out as many do with misunderstandings and lots of sass. Each at a loss and looking for something they didn't realize was missing. The twists and turns along the way as we meet and learn more about these families. Revisiting old friends and meeting new ones in the race to find her sister and the human traffickers across continents.
For anyone looking for an exciting, charming, and slightly bruised alpha you are in for a treat. Impatiently waiting for the next story to come.

I absolutely love the way that Heather Slade writes. Her stories are almost pulled from headlines but keep the reader on the edge of their seat, and intriguing enough to keep that same reader flipping the pages. Her characters, both male and female, are strong, smart, sexy and sometimes argumentative! Ha ha! But each story is unique in it’s own way. I have fallen in love with every character and Ridge and Sera are no different. The way that Heather Slade goes into depth with the problem at hand, or even the scenery is just amazing but so not boring. She truly paints a picture in the mind of the reader with her words. Looking forward to reading Press’ story next! Fantastic job, Heather Slade!!
Ridge’s Release is book two of Wicked Winemakers series, Noah Ridge and Seraphina Reeves story. Noah doesn’t like to be called Noah much in fact only by his mom, but now seems to be he likes the way it sounds coming out of Sera’s mouth! So everyone all around just call him Ridge; Ridge’s family is a very successful wine growers and everything to do with the business. Seraphina is the local Assistant DA and don’t call her Sera her name is Seraphina and she will call you on it! Other than Noah, she likes the way Sera sounds when he says it! Seraphina is working on a huge case that involves Noah and many of the local wine industry employees, owners, managers, etc. supposedly doing and acting vigilante-taking issues upon themselves to take care of and settle. Seraphina is in the midst of talking with Noah about all this when her world crumples around her as she finds out her sister is missing, Noah has stormed out of the restaurant where they were meeting actually before they really got started. Noah goes back to ask her what is wrong. This is a wonderful story its filled to the brim with action, suspense, intrigue, human trafficking, trust issues, anger, danger, twists & turns, family secrets and revenge. I am looking forward to the third installment of this series. I encourage you, this book/series is a must read; you won’t be disappointed. received an Advance Reader's Copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest thoughts and opinions.
So as we know from the first book Ridge (Noah) is in a kind of vigilante group and Seraphina works for the DA and he wants them taken down. She is tasked with doing this but when her sister goes missing she needs his help.
Ridge doesn't want to talk to her but when he realises she needs help he agrees to meet her. She tells him everything and he goes to the rest of the group and asks for help.
Seraphina's mum acts like she doesn't really give a crap. She doesn't want anyone going through her room and she wont talk to Sera about it.
So Ridge has been in love with his best friends sister since he was young. I couldn't figure out if they ever dated. He does say 'thanks for cutting me loose all those years ago' so maybe they did. I enjoyed how he slowly fell for Sera and got over Alex at the same time.
While they were looking for her sister it did drag on a bit I've got to be honest and they get some people in to help them who are characters from her other book series which i haven't read so it was a lot of names to try and remember.
They find the sister and find out nothing (she does have her own book so maybe that's when we find out). You find out why her mum is such a huge pain in the ass the whole book and honestly when you find out why its not even that big of a deal.
Then there in love and getting married, the end. It ends very fast.
I dropped stars because it did get boring and there was only one steamy scene and it was over in half a page. I like my steam to my stories
I enjoyed both the main characters it was just too long
At first, Seraphina Reeve has an agenda that pits her against Noah Ridge and the Los Caballeros team. But all that changes when her sister goes missing and she needs his help to find her and she doesn't much care who helps him. They have history, too, dating back to when her father fell on hard times and had to sell their family winery to Ridge's father. And then there are the family secrets. Whew! So much going on in this book!
I loved the way Noah and Sera actually talked about their growing feelings for each other and why they have to put any possible relationship on the back burner for a while. Still they worked together, learned to trust each other, and built a solid foundation for their inevitable romance.
There's a lot of action in this book as the search for Sera's sister leads them to a human trafficking ring and takes them from California to Mexico and finally to England. I really enjoy the way the author brings in the teams from her other series and the law enforcement agencies that they work for.
And finally, just when you think there are no more obstacles, her boss (she's an assistant district attorney) turns out to have his own agenda that threatens to destroy her career. I really enjoyed the way this storyline played out with a double helping of justice for all.
Their HEA was the sweetest! One of the things you can count on with this author is that while there are steamy moments, the romance is always going to shine first and foremost, so when they finally do get together you can feel the sighs of relief all around. These are romances for grown-ups, with honest communication and relatable problems, and the soul-deep satisfaction in finding one's life partner. I highly recommend every one of this author's series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
The suspense, danger and action really increased in its intensity in Ridge's Release. Human trafficking coupled with a government offical bent on revenge kept me glued to this story. Seraphina Reeve and Noah Ridge may start off at odds because of her assignment as ADA but the disappearance of her sister has her seeking his and the Caballeros' help. The search for her sister uncovers something far bigger in scope than Ridge and his group can handle which results in K19 Shadow Ops teams, US Customs and Immigration, MI5 and the UK's National Crime Agency all becoming involved. Trust must be earned not only by Sera but by Ridge and his team. There are several tense moments between different players. Ridge's feeling for Sera grow with each passing moment but she's skittish. Her past plays a big part in that. Underneath all the planning and execution of the rescue there's an uncertainty between them fueled by her mother's accusations and enmity towards Ridge. Tryst plays a pivotal role in getting Ridge and Sera to suss ot the truth.
This is book 2 in the Wicked Winemakes series and in it we get Noah and Seraphina's story. Seraphina is an ADA who has been tasked with the Los Caballaros case. But within minutes of a meeting with someone she thinks can help her, she ticks him off and he leaves. But what happens when she needs the help from the one group she is supposed to be bringing down?
I really enjoyed this story! Sera is tough and strong in her convictions, but she also is smart enough to face her own misconceptions. I loved her character and the things she is willing to do for those she cares about. Ridge is a strong man who knows that what is right by the law is not always the right things morally. And he and his family aren't afraid to step up and do the things that need to be done. He also isn't afraid to show someone who he is at his core. They have this chemistry right from the start that draws you in, but then you throw in the suspense and mystery and you are sucked in and can't put it down!
Noah and Seraphina are adversaries. Their backgrounds are complicated between her being ADA and him being a winemaker member of Los Callaberos. Paths cross when her sister goes missing and she needs help. Bring her disapproving and contemptuous mother into the equation, sored by past events between her father and his, results in controversy on both sides, especially as she has been tasked with investigating him and Los Collaberos. Intrigue, mayhem, people trafficking, working with K19 and associates all combine to bring romance and suspense together. Well written and described, strong characters, eventful moments, betrayal, lies, deceit, unproven grudges questions and declarations of love amongst the dangers surrounding the investigation .

An exciting journey for these two, who seem to hate each other. But deny all they want, they've got some crazy chemistry cooking. A lot of intrigue and mystery here for Ridge and Seraphina, and their families. The first story is still running as a wrap up, a new critical development regarding Seraphina's sister, so a lot going on making this very fast-paced which kept me reading avidly to that HEA (I always crave) as far as Ridge and Seraphina are concerned. And a happy sigh from me. A stand alone as far as the mains are concerned, but, as a second book of the very hot, the very Wicked Winemakers series, best when read in order, I think. Anxiously waiting on the next romantic journey from this series.
A good suspenseful story with a twist. “We both know there’s a strong attraction between us. We also know the timing isn’t right for us to explore that attraction.” “Man, I had it bad, but this time, maybe it wasn’t over the wrong woman.” “Yes, I was in love with him. Head over heels.”
Seraphina is the assistant District Attorney. There was no proof the secret society even existed, yet my boss had ordered that I head up the task force to take them down. Now, her sister is missing and she turns to the one man who she shouldn't, Noah Ridge. “If Los Caballeros truly did exist, maybe I could convince them to help me look for her, even if it meant paying them.”
Noah is a winemaker. He is also a member of Los Caballeros, an organization whose traditions withstood the tests of hundreds of years. Now the new prosecutor has just threatened Brix and Los Caballeros. “That she knew about the secret entity was a problem in itself. Did she truly, or like so many others, had she heard the rumors but had no confirmation?” And now she wants my help finding her sister.
I enjoyed this book about Ridge (Noah) and Seraphina (Sera). As they work together to find her missing sister, their relationship intensifies. There is mistrust and extenuating circumstances that need to be overcome for the couple to achieve their HEA . Their respective families have a past that threatens their future happiness that has to be dealt with. This is part of an ongoing series and I would recommend reading the previous first ,for better enjoyment, but it could be read as a standalone. I would recommend this book and series.

This is the second book in this series and after reading the first I didn't think it could get any better I was wrong Once again we are with the super hot winemakers auctions
This is Ridge's and Sera's story there is history between their families after all his family bought the family winery after her father hit hard times but she is determined to prove she is over that She is now the DA and is determined to bring down the Los Caballeros team Little does she know she will need the help of Ridge when her sister disappears with the clock ticking can they rescue her sister Get ready for a fast paced ride that will have turning the pages until the early hours of the morning
Seraphina Reeve, the ADA tasked by the DA to bring down the secretive Los Callaberos group finds out her sister is missing just before she meets with Noah Ridge, a suspected member of the group. Only now, Sera needs their help. Exciting, suspense filled, fraught with danger, this story pulls the reader in from the first page to the last!
I’ve been loving reading Ms Slades books now for a number of years. The Butler Ranch series has always been a favorite for me and the Wicked Winemakers books are continuing in a very similar setting looking at the Avila family and other winemakers in the area. Exciting and fast paced storytelling at its best!
Noah Ridge runs the winery along with his family, Seraphina is an assistant district attorney, tasked by her boss to bring down Los Caballeros, a group of wine makers who help people when the law won't help, he seems obsessed but no one is sure why. Sera, as Noah calls her, gets off on the wrong foot, as really she wants his help to find her sister, Luisa, who has been missing for four days. They go to Mexico but she's not there, and Seraphina's mother is acting oddly.

Only the second book in Wicked Winemakers series and it’s my favorite by far. Noah Ridges didn’t expect Seraphina but from the time she gets assigned to take down Los Caballeros their life is intertwined. But he wouldn’t give her anything and when she finds herself in need of their help, she gets more than she bargains for as their chemistry intensify and the danger surrounds them. I enjoyed the thrilling suspense and delightful heat level that cannot be denied. This was an enjoyable addition to the series with loads of drama, high action and a HEA. I can’t wait for more of this series that doesn’t disappoint.
Ridge (Noah) and his family start Ridge Winery and part of the Secret Society. Seraphina is the Assistant DA and is given the assignment of bringing down the Secret Society, even though there is no proof it exists. At the beginning of her assignment her sister disappears. She needs help in finding her. Who can she go to for help? Of course, Ridge. Lots of twists and turns, mystery and working together to solve it and bring the bad guys down. It results in an HEA for both. I loved every bit of this story. Heather Slade has done it again! She’s an exceptional writer who keeps your attention throughout the story.
Secrets, secrets, secrets! Seraphina is the Assistant District Attorney and has been tasked with getting the dirt on Los Caballeros, a secret society that seeks to help people in trouble. Noah has been a long-standing member. Unfortunately the DA considers them vigilantes and wants them indicted. Seraphina's sister goes missing and Sera doesn't know where to turn and reluctantly asks Noah for help. There is some reluctance among the other members considering her status as an ADA. This is a really slow burn romance but well worth it. The characters are wonderful and the plot suspenseful. There is plenty of angst and just a bit of love-making. Great read once again from Ms Slade!
I really enjoyed reading Ridges Release . It's a well written story and the characters are unique and fantastic . This story grabs you from the start . Assistant DA Seraphina Reeve's sister is missing and is believed to be in some kind of danger . Seeking Noah Ridge's help and the secret group Los Caballeros’he belongs to . Both never expected to find the love of their lives while rescuing her sister . This story is Suspenseful and intriguing all out sensational . I loved reading it . I highly recommend reading this story and the entire wicked winemakers series .
