"Demon boss seeks assistant to help take a load. Off my shoulders, I mean." Duke is on the edge, and not a fun one. Between being a CEO, a firefighter, an animal shelter volunteer, and a foster dad, he's unraveling at the sides. He needs someone to help take his load. His butler puts in a personal ad for him... and messes it up completely. On purpose. His new assistant Nat is a chubby single dad who's missing three fingers, and he's expecting to take... a different kind of load. Duke doesn't have time for relationships. He has time for 'stress relief', though. Until one 'load' goes wrong, and on top of worrying about his foster kids, he now has a baby on the way...

It was cute. I enjoyed this one as well. The raccoon résumé was hilarious. I enjoyed Nat’s willingness to work and not take himself seriously. He literally couldn’t stop embarrassing himself always on accident, but it made him more endearing and adorable.
Duke the grumpy demon CEO and general all round good guy, gets a cute racoon mate.
This one was super sweet and, a first for a while, had a secondary plot that didn't involve the mysterious kidnappers.
It's got everything you'd expect from this universe but, for some reason, we got a lot more of the hugely annoying stupid pickup lines and Butler Brother antics in this narrative.
Nothing about them is funny to me, but I've accepted they're as much part of the series as the sentient shopping carts and knotting!
There's also a bonus new omega turns up towards the end.
Anna Wineheart brings another sexy story between an Alpha Demon, Duke, and an omega Raccoon, Nat, and Nat’s adorable daughter, Wanda, a half-demon, half-raccoon. I love her writing; she brings characters to life with humor, assorted emotions, and passion.
The demon, Duke, is the CEO of a large company, Brimstone. Duke’s a man who wears many hats, as well as a CEO, he volunteers for an animal shelter and the firehouse to help with the worst fires, plus he’s a foster dad to two children, Mallie and Teddy. To say the least, he’s a very busy man. His wacky butler, Hubrie, decides that his Hell Master needs an assistant to help take his “load”; “load” meaning relieving his master’s stress in a fun way, as well as needing office-type experience.
Nat Whittinger needs a job to help support his daughter, Wanda. Nat doesn’t realize until he meets Duke that Duke was one of the men who rescued him and Wanda from kidnappers. Nat’s self-esteem is extremely low. He views himself as fat, unattractive, he’s missing three fingers and a blunder with words that he constantly feels he puts his foot in his mouth too often. He had an abusive ex-boyfriend who did this damage to Nat, Gilbin Turkeyson, an actual turkey shifter.
Because Nat hates that he’s chubby, he asks his friend Killian, one of the other omegas kidnapped, to help him take pictures of him for his resume, but instead of pictures of him as a human, he has Killian take them with him as a raccoon. Duke was so taken aback and finding Nat’s pictures funny, he had him come in for an interview.
The interview is not what any would expect, but you should read the book to see how hilarious this interview went; leave it to the butler to come up with these ideas. Nat is hired and soon Duke and he grow closer together as Nat does a great job at anything given to him to do.
It isn’t always roses at Nat’s workplace. A few times, when he has to leave the office to take something to another department in the building, Kylie, a jealous woman towards Nat for having the assistant position and lets Nat know he’s fat, ugly, missing fingers, and wants to get him fired. But Duke’s falling for the omega as Nat is for Duke; they are such an adorable couple, and Duke wants him pregnant and so Nat becomes pregnant.
There are so much Anna writes within the book that makes it so enjoyable to read. Do miss out on the rest of their story, especially the fight between the demon and the turkey, very interesting. I highly recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Here is Anna Wineheart's latest: "Demon Boss' Baby Load." It's the second novel in her new series, Babies for Broken Dads (which is a spin-off series from her Closet Baby Chronicles series...which is also a spin-off series).
[""Demon boss seeks assistant to help take a load. Off my shoulders, I mean."

Ummm yes. All the yes. Then again, why am I surprised? This series in inherently fabulous, so why wouldn't this book/couple be as well?
I loved how open and loving these two were. IT was sweet and kind and slightly possessive. It was all about being/feelings safe and having a big, happy family. Their only obstacle was an outside source. Besides that, it was a relatively easy love story.
Just accidentally swearing in front of babies...a lot. Then again, Nat was really great at putting his foot in his mouth (not that Duke minded).
Trigger Warnings: jealous coworker, violence, past domestic abuse, brief fat-shaming, kidnapping, and more.
My adorable fluffy Nat and my brooding yet handsome Duke brought the house down!!!
In this fast paced, insta-lust story, we see the adorable raccoon shifter Nat job hunting, trying to provide a better life for his adorable baby until he comes across a…very unusual job add.
Duke is just a brooding demon that just needs to get laid, or so Hubrie says (and everyone else agrees). His busy schedule prevents him from enjoying time with his family and have some down time so Hubrie convinces him to hire a PA…but the announcement is…well…you gotta read to understand it hahahaha
All in all sparks fly from the get go in this romcom, but it takes a minute for them to actually fall in love. With an impending (another) baby on the way and some threats that should have stayed in the past, you gotta jump into this story to see how they conquer it all while also discovering how important they are and how much they need each other.
What to expect in this book? -Demon x Raccoon shifters -MxM paranormal romance -Mpreg -Insta-lust -Boss x PA -Adorable babies -Disable rep -Some slight hurt/comfort -Hilariously meddling butlers (seriously, they’re my spirit animals) -Double Knot(ting) (yes, you read that right) -All the spice (with a little bit of kink like vouyerism/exhibitionism but only between them iykyk) -All the freaking feels!!!
Overview: Overall: 10/5 Storyline: 5/5 Smut: 100000/5 The feels it made me feel: infinite/5
Y’all seriously need to jump on this series and I cannot wait for the next one!
**4.5** I think this may be one of my favourites from this world that Anna has written. All of the components come together so well to give an entertaining and emotional read with wonderful characters and a very heated relationship. I think Hubrie may be my favourite butler. He's not too wacky and works in Duke's best interests, even if his advert for an assistant does go a little beyond what you would expect. Nat, in need of a job and okay for what is required, finds the job much more than even he was expecting when he meets Duke. Duke may not be happy with how Nat came to be his assistant but there is no denying the attraction he feels, and when one thing leads to another, well, they're both happy. Of course there is more to the story than that, and Duke fulfills the Alpha role perfectly in his protectiveness of them all. Wanda is adorable and Duke's foster children are a delight. I love how paternal he is! Even before Nat is in the picture, he already has dreams of a family and wanting to help as many as possible, people and animals alike. Another fabulous story from Anna that I highly recommend. I love the chance at a HEA for the omegas who were kidnapped and now get to experience the better side of life. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
Nat was rescued in first series and has 10 month old Wanda. He escaped an abusive ex that took three of his fingers just cause he was a bully. He wants a job and applies to one he finds and wanting to stand out he does it in his shifter form an adorable raccoon.
His new boss Duke didn't expect what hos butler put in the job description since it wasn't what he told him. Its more than regular work that Nat is doing because he's taking Duke's sexual loads as well.
There is also a jealous person and an ex showing up. I loved Duke's foster kids Mallie and Teddy. Little Wanda is adorable. There was so much funny and sexy time as well. Duke is perfect for Nat showing him what real love and caring looks like. Size and looks don't matter.
Another excellent book and can't wait for the next one.
Nat is trying to survive after escaping an abusive ex and a kidnapping for his baby Wanda. Duke is a demon who's spread too thin trying to help everyone. Hubris is his butler who places an ad for a PA. with an addendum. Nat can't believe his luck at scoring the job and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep it. I loved how sweet and supportive Duke was of Nat and Wanda. Nat has a hard time believing anyone would want or love him (evil turkey ex) There's a threat from a jealous coworker with delusions of granduer which causes Nat to be harmed but it's quickly resolved. I loved Duke's kids, they were adorable and of course Nat's runaway comments and Hubrie's meddling were hilarious. I can't wait for Walren and Raptor's story.
I found this book so much better than I expected. Duke; the boss Demon hires Nat; a Raccoon shifter to ease his work load of so many different things Duke is trying to jugglewith no spare time. Instant lust from both main characters sends you on a journey of exploration with them. Throw in Nat's adorable daughter Wanda, Duke's foster children, an interfering butler, as well as an evil ex and this book will keep you reading till the end. I smiled many times at the antics in this story, especially the nests. Most enjoyable, will definitely read the rest of this series.
This was a cute, humorous, sweet romance. I like how the author picks imperfect people for characters, because they are so much more relatable and loveable, and that was Nat. He's a bit chubby, fingers missing,(trauma) and with a personality a "good" alpha would cherish and protect. Duke was a pushover for Nat. I enjoyed his brutish protection of Nat, especially when he's under attack. The twist and turns kept me turning pages and hoping for good outcomes. A sweet story, I highly recommend.
I enjoyed Nat and Duke’s story. It is a cute read full of the craziness you expect from the butlers and the emotions and heat as the men find their way.
Nat is a sweet man who has had a rough time and I just adored him. I love Duke and the way he supports and protects Nat. The two are good together and I enjoyed seeing their relationship take shape. It was nice to see the softer side of Duke when he is with his family, Nat and Wanda. Their story moves at a good pace and pulled me in right away.
Funny and cute mpreg shapeshitfer romance. Very quirky humor and plenty of shenanigans in the office. Things moved along a bit too swiftly for my taste, though there certainly were some very swoonworthy, sweet moments between the couple. The nesting urge is very cute. There are multiple threats this time to our MCs’ happiness, and that added some extra suspense and emotional intensity to the story. The butler is quite a character, as always in this series. Would love to have one of them be the MC for once too.
I read this series for the characters, not for the overabundance of sex scenes. The cookie-cutter format is actually part of the draw for me! These always read fast, and I love the whole texting between the rescued omegas we get with every story.
Although I will say that the "delivery" scene was one for the books! 🤣
Will I read #3 when it comes out? Sure, I will... sometimes you just need a bit of fluff in your life!!! 🥰
I loved Demon Boss' Baby Load by Anna Wineheart. It's the second book in the Babies For Broken Dads series. I loved Nat and Duke's story. I loved their chemistry. I loved Nat's job application as a raccoon and the sample collection scene. I also loved Duke's butler and what Duke got the trophies for. I loved Duke's demon form and how he cared for Nat and Wanda and his two adopted kids.
Giblin Turkeyson?!? Really? Not funny, but yeah, funny, what Giblins's secret weapon was. I had a good laugh at that. And how Nat's mouth got in the way of his brain! His inability to not blurt out things was hilarious! But not at what happened to Nat physically. He broke my heart! But I loved Duke and Hubrie for him.
I really enjoyed this one. Both the main characters were likeable and I liked the fact that the external drama was from a different source and not the usual baddies. I did feel like there were more typos in this one than any other books by the author that I've read but it didn't lessen my enjoyment of it. Already off to pre-order next book!
4 stars. This was so fucking cute! Love Winehart. Her books are a bit kooky but so entertaining. Nat and Duke and the kids were so adorable and the romance between Nat and Duke was fun. Loved their chemistry and the spice was so good. I also liked the humor, it’s cheesy but hard to hate. This was just the fluff that I needed.
I enjoyed this book very much. This is the second book I've read by Anna Winehart and so far I'm loving them all.
Quick question though which may contain a spoiler but not really... Does anyone know if Anna Winehart really wrote a book about "dough" that was talked about towards the end? I'm not going into too many details because I don't want to spoil it.
In need of some extra help, Dukes meddling butler blunder brings Nat into his life. Nat who has had his own share of trauma brings out a protectiveness in Duke and Duke finds his life changing in every way.
A cute story of unexpected love, babies, meddling butlers and a HEA.
This is a great story that quickly drew me in and kept me turning the pages. I adored both Duke and Nat and enjoyed seeing their story unfold. Hubrie, the butler, had me laughing at his antics throughout the story. I really enjoyed this and look forward to reading what happens next.
Nat was one of the Omegas rescued in the last book. He needs to get a job and answers a advert to be a personal assistant. Duke interviews him and he gets the job. Soon the 2 start a relationship and Nat becomes pregnant. The usual type of story we expect from this series and author.
I find these stories interesting, heart-warming with silly moments. I always have a laugh out loud moment. I enjoyed seeing the MCs connect and become a family. Looking forward to more stories from this series.
I love this all inclusive world of hers! I love the way magic is just normal to everyone. I really love the Butler Brothers almost as much as the main characters!
Nat was rescued from a terrible situation. He applies for a job at Duke’s company not really understanding what he is going to be doing. It all ends well and the babies are just adorable. Highly Recommended
This was excellent. I loved the no filter from thought to speak. It was adorable 🥰. I will be purchasing this book to always have as a rereading book. Loved it!!
I really enjoyed this book, especially the no filter as that is something I can definitely understand. The blurb really caught my interest and so did the book. Didn't stop reading once I started.
