Humanity has evolved and now most people have electrical powers. The main character Enlil is saved by Albert from the Electrical Police Department when he is a child, which inspires and motivates him to want to be in the EPD when he grows up. The EPD hunts anthropomorphic monsters that are called darkwalkers.

When you reach a certain age you do a test to see how much electricity you put out. Enlil ends up having the worst score ever recorded. He ends up going the to EPD to seek out Albert and try to get a job with the EPD. Soon he finds out that something much more sinister is going on with the EPD as their main objective is hunting people who don’t have much electricity output as they deem them not useful to society. They are trying to cultivate a world with only people who have electrical powers. Enlil ends up being a darkwalker and he makes it his mission to end the world because of how fucked up and dystopian it all is.

I really love the concept and how the darkwalkers look. The art is mostly good but at times it is a bit muddy or basic looking. I definitely feel it’s worth a read and will be picking up the next volume.

This was awesome! I really don't wanna give too much away because there's a ton of fun little twists in the origin that make this even more exciting. I'll try and set the scene with no spoilers. In a future world where humans have evolved to be able to control electricity. Like any other civilization the most powerful rise to the top, while the people with little to no power are left to rot. One boy, Enlil, looks up to one of the most powerful officers. He hopes to be a hero just like his idol one day. Until he finds out that not all is as it seems behind the curtains. This first volume was full of betrayal, action, and a truly unique concept that I loved. The art was gory, techy, and messy. The characters were all super interesting too. A lot of them being designs I can't say I've seen before. So it's a real treat to have a fresh series with fresh ideas. Especially when it's a dark series about overthrowing evil leaders. Anyway this was fantastic and I can't wait to get more! Highly recommend!

The art reminds me of Blame and Knights of Sidonia, which I really like.

The concepts and powers feel interesting, if at this point lacking a little depth.

The narrative is what I feel is lacking the most, and feels cliche and predictable while not having any interesting twist, at this point.

I may read the second volume, but I have a hard time recommending anyone else do so after reading the first volume.

Neat idea but writing lacks a little cohesion and polish.
