Angel
On one stupid, drunken night, I did something I can never take back, leaving me no choice but to let go of the girl I was falling hard for. I never shirked my responsibilities, and I wasn’t about to start now.
Fast forward a decade, and that girl returns into my orbit a beautiful woman, but with secrets hidden so deep in the vault she wasn’t about to trust anyone with. Least of all me.
It’s not like Wren was mine. I needed to remember that. I didn’t have time to get involved with a woman. The only girl in my life was my daughter. And that’s how it was going to stay.
But when those secrets threaten her, my family and my club, I decide it's time to take action. But will it bring us closer together, or tear us apart forever?

Wren
Angel tore out my heart and stomped on it the day he dumped me for my nemesis. But I learn to move on, even though I have kept a major secret from the man I’ve tried everything to forget.
For five years, I lived a life of solitude, but happy. Until the man I thought I could move on with shows his true colors. Add to that, my mother’s secrets threaten to upend everything I’ve worked so hard to rebuild. Do I finally let Angel in, or do I keep running, taking my secrets with me?
Can I rebuild my trust in Angel, and let him and his club walk into the fires of hell to save me, or do I walk away, and return to a monster to save Angel and everything we’re building together?

The hero, Jake Gyllenhaal, cheats on his girlfriend, takes her virginity and is confronted with a pregnant evil OW. Heroine takes off with a little something extra only to have her secret plot moppet die of leukemia. She tried, oh so hard, to tell the H he had another baby but the evil OW kept answering the phone. Hokay.

Heroine is on the run from her formerly doting, slightly overbearing mafia man husband. She didn't know he was mafia, but he was a great dresser so she should have known.

She runs away, her mother is killed in the car accident meant for her and she runs into the man she hates for cheating on her so she shows him, and has sex with pretty much right away. He's still as conceited as ever and runs off to play MC with the other boys.

This was the fictional equivalent of a woman that wear all of her jewelry at once. Why have a plot moppet with a disease of the week if you aren't going to get blood marrow for him?

Lots of stuff happens that wasted my time, but the clincher is the heroine has her gun trained on the evil OW when mafioso husband steps in and she doesn't even shoot him.

Oh and her secret father is part of Bratva.

Urghh, there was plenty of everything I like in a book, drama, angst, betrayal. Also plenty of what I don’t like in a book avoidance…. Not one did they properly discuss the betrayal from 10 years prior not properly and def not before her BBS kicked in and she fell head over vagina for him again.
It just wreaked it for me

The only thing missing from this was the kitchen sink, though if I could be bothered I could probably find it if I looked harder. We had a betrayal, BBS, cheating, BBS, biker, BBS, single parents, death, mafia, long lost unbelievable father, ow drama, secret baby, BBS, second best zeroine, TSTL characters and oh, did I say BBS in👏bloody👏spades👏!! 🙄🤦‍♀️

First time reading this author and unfortunately I didn't enjoy it. It was a bit disjointed and the timelines weren't adding up. I didn't feel any real chemistry from the MMCs or really any real remorse from anyone. Dante takes Wren's virginity prom night then leaves her high and dry. She finds him after in the hotel lobby with her nemesis overhearing a conversation between them being he got ow pregnant supposedly. He's not really sorry and promises to be there for ow while explaining Wren and him were nothing. Even though they were together for a year. It's quite unbelievable he held off from sex for a year waiting for Wren. I'm sure he took well advantage of the sweet butts. The author didn't do a good job showing the character's emotions. Everyone had an oh well attitude. So Wren leaves with her mom not knowing that of course she's pregnant as well. Marries a cartel drug lord because of course she does. I didn't see any triggers, but I will put that Wren's son dies from cancer. I'll rewrite down below. Anyways, shit happens because the h is TDTL with a side off horniness and BBS. The worst. All her character put forth was wet panties and hard nipples. Like seriously? The FMC was honestly pathetic which I've read from other reviews with books in this series. They all have BBS and nothing is ever resolved. Not sure if I'll continue reading this series or not. Last gripe is I think this author is from the UK with the words rubbish and primary school along with other British way of speaking. But it's set on America. 🤷 Overall not impressed.

Safety: "cheating" not on page when they're teenagers. Biggest trigger is child death by cancer. So keep that in mind. *Ends up being Dante was drugged and tricked by ow. So he didn't really cheat. He was too drugged to get it up, but was stupid enough not to have a paternity test. So he stays with this woman for 8 year's for his daughters benefit. Having sex with her up until a year ago when the h comes into the picture. I'm sorry dear authors out there, but that's not going to work anymore in contemporary romance. Historical romance I can understand, but in this day in age? Absolutely not. Also, 10 year's separation.

cute HEA

3.5 Star

This was a good MC book overall. I liked the characters, the club world this author created and I love the HEA. I am definitely interested in reading the other books in the series.

The reason I didn’t rate this higher is because I feel like the critical points of this couple’s years long break was rushed through. Without giving anything away; something happens at the beginning of the book and these two go their separate ways. Years later they are face to face, both with secrets, resentment, longing between them and when it all finally comes out, there is a page worth of explanation and we are moving on…I wanted more anger, pain, forgiveness, conversation, etc.

Angel

I’m so sad that there is only one more book currently out after finishing this one. As I have said with the previous 2 books each one gets better. I loved this one so much and can’t wait to see what happens with Riggs and Lexi!

DNF it’s terrible

It’s terrible. It’s so bad even skimming the book I could not finish. Zero character development. None. Do not waste your time and definitely do not waste any money!

It was a great story great plot I just wished the story was longer and that Rafael died in chapter 19 instead of at the end
