This wraps up the main plot that we've read over the past five books... except it doesn't.
Maeve's visions come to pass, with some changes. The battle at the academy happens and we know why. Other than that, nothing is resolved.
The shifters now want a war with the Confederacy.
Gabriella is still alive.
The evil/heartbeat Maeve heard the last few books may or may not be loose.
Vampires and Witches are still at odds with each other.
Everything in this book is so long and drawn out for how little is settled.
The only thing that is somewhat out of the way is the Blackwoods now that Anastasia and Nikolai are dead. *twirls finger*
Another book is on its way, I'm assuming similar to the abominable A Court of Frost and Starlight, where Maeve and her guys do some silly sidequest (AKA finding her bio dad), while they all bang.
This honestly reminds me of the end of the Bloodlines series. None of the overarching issues head towards a resolution or are even put in motion, but it's okay because Maeve and her harem are together, and that's all that matters. Riiiiiiiiiight.

Oh, it is getting exciting now! Lots of drama and excitement in this one. Don't even try to read this as a stand-alone, you gotta read them all to understand what's what.
Maeve and her guys are really in for some nail biting, harrowing times in this one. Things at the Academy are going from bad to worse and they are in the middle of it. The witches and the hemia vamps are at each other's throats, literally and figuratively, the shifters are sneaking off campus and doing who knows what, and the heartbeat in the tunnels under Petrescu is freaking Maeve out. Theodora seems determined to keep the school open and is not taking the threats seriously. Then Tobias reveals a secret to Maeve that shatters her and he is removed from his duties and banned from the school. As the remaining members of the group struggle to understand what it all means, Maeve is torn apart by the revelation and the feelings she still has for Tobias. As her visions of the future worsen she and the guys must figure out how to save everyone at the academy, if that is even possible.

2025 52 Book Challenge - 4) Title Starts With The Letter "N"
I found the vast majority of this book really boring. The first 90% of the book is basically filler to get to the final climax of the novel which wraps up some of the plot points from Terms 1 to 6.
And even in that final 10%, when the action was finally happening, it was really difficult to follow what was happening. Normally I can imagine how it's happening but there was just not enough description of the surrounding area and what was happening. It honestly just felt like a little bit of a mess.
That's not to say I won't be reading the sequel novels, because I feel way too invested in Tobias and Andrei.

The events of Maeve’s vision has come to pass and their time at the academy is over. The MCs had all hoped these would be calmer times, but with Gabriella and Dominion still pursuing their vision of the perfect supernatural world, it’s a calm before the storm.

I loved it! It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. This series is a slow-burn sweet why choose romance. Perfect for lovers of books with a strong magical heroine who grows into her powers, swoon-worthy guys who love and protect her, and a supernatural world filled with magic, romance, and mystery. Welcome to Nightworld Academy (Ravenwood Academy to the outside world). At this academy, that is attended by witches, shifters, and vampires, one student's bloodline will be their salvation or a curse. At last the time has arrived. Events are lining up and it appears the big bad vision Maeve had, and is desperate to prevent might actually be here. Is she strong enough to change the outcome? Will people die? Who will survive? Definitely NOT a standalone read!! One needs to have read the previous books in this series to understand all the nuances and relationships. But my oh my is it worth it!!! Things are finally being revealed, and the group have some leads to go on. Can Maeve FINALLY learn why she's supposedly so darned important in all this? We gain some new information on the history of her family, and send the group in a certain direction. One things for certain.... They're far better united than apart! I can't wait for Term Seven. This amazing group are only growing in power, knowledge and of course love. Enemies are rallying, the hidden enemy below the school haunts Maeve, and the future she saw seems to get closer by the minute. Filled with intrigue galore, layers of suspense, supernatural craziness, and one fierce female at the center willing to sacrifice herself to save everyone around her!

This brings the first part of our story to a conclusion, as our MCs complete one story arc, only for more unanswered questions to pop up and demand attention! There’s a lot going on, and they all learn things about themselves, and what they’re capable of doing.
It’s been interesting watching Maeve come into her own, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the future brings for them all.
This was the longest book yet in the series, and it had a lot of angst, tension, and a fair bit of action. It’s an engrossing read, with an interesting world, and what looks to be a fascinating series of events yet to come.
Recommended for those who enjoy RH fantasy, academy fantasy, and gradually darkening stories.

miscommunication
I really love this story. I think the characters are rich and interesting. I’m drawn in, even though it follows Harry Potter a tad too much. It still offers the genre a new twist and the RH aspect is a winner - but it could and should be steamier!
That being said, there is TOO much repetition and too little follow through. And “me and (fill in the blank)” when it should be “(fitb) and I” for every character’s speech pattern is off putting. These books need some serious editing! It takes away from the flow.
Also, you can’t say Tobias is the most skilled supernatural and then have him beaten every time he’s up against the nemeses. Or talk about Maeve’s need to practice her magic and then never make room for the lessons. There was too much silly bullying and threats that go nowhere and never happen to engender any fear for Maeve. Or claim the group MUST stay together then constantly separate them for stupid reasons.
The first six books will make a phenomenal trilogy if you throw away some of your “babies”.

This book was amazing!!!! It was worth every second it took to finally get to the end!!! I was not disappointed, but instead, super intrigued and curious and happy with how it turned out! Now I’m even more interested and excited to see what happens next for Maeve and her guys in the next book. There were a lot of things, twists and turns, that surprised me throughout this whole book so I was really on the edge of my seat reading it. I couldn’t put this book down. I wanted to read it all in a day, which is exactly what I want to feel when reading a book! I was scared at some points in the book and then nervous at other points or anxious at other times or shocked and elated at some points, too. It was the best combination! This book is my favorite so far in this series and I’m super excited for the next book! I can’t wait to find out how Maeve and her guys turn out in the end! I’m loving this series! I highly recommend this book and series!

This was pretty good. We still have a lot of secrets coming to light, lots of information comes out and you finally learn some of these people’s intentions. We also are delightfully provided multiple chapters from Tobias’s POV which is always a treat.
A lot of the plot lines moved forward in meaningful ways but that seems to be the tip of the iceberg. It looks like they will have a lot of plot lines and holes to finish up by the time they wrap this whole thing up.
Maeve & co are basically like cats with 9 lives. At what point though, you have to wonder, is too much trauma too much?

My heart only about stopped a dozen or so times reading this book! Oh my goodness, so much happens in this book. So many questions are answered and more are raised. I laughed, I cried, and I wanted to throw things at various points while reading this. Maeve and her guys have been through so much, and this book adds to it. Poor Tobias! My heart breaks for him and Maeve, but I know they will find a solution to their problem. I cannot wait to see what happens next!

LJ Swallow is a master writer! The Nightworld Acadeny series has been a fantastic read! Each book has its own story that arcs and resolved but she weaves them together for a bigger purpose. Maeve and her connections to her guys are individually written and you root for them all. The twists in this book are life changing and intense. You are so invested in these characters you can’t wait to read what happens next. Super read!!! Hurry up book 7!!

LJ Swallow has definitely outdone herself. Book six is mind blowing. So many things are brought to light and it is all coming together towards book seven. I never really liked Tobias, but dang, now I am completely in love with him. Poor Jaimie is still getting the short stick, as is Ash I feel. Ash did have some very important scenes though. Theodora though, wow. Just wow. I have so many ideas as to whats coming, but undoubtedly Im sure the author has many tricks up her sleeve still!

Oh man that was soooo good! I absolutely loved it! We finally reach some of the events Maeve had seen only in visions. There is quite a bit going on so you definitely have to be paying attention. The way everything came together as well as Maeve learning more about her background keeps things exciting. I look forward to what comes next for Maeve and her guys!

Amazing
Another fantastic book to this series. I have enjoyed this series from the very beginning and found myself really invested in all of the characters. The way the story is written really draws you in as a reader and completely immerses you in their world. I am looking forward to jumping straight into the next book to see what the future holds for Maeve and her guys 😁

I really enjoyed this series when I was younger, not anymore. The writing seemed too much like a children’s book and not a ‘upper YA/NA’ book. I found ALL the characters annoying in this apart from Jamie and Andrei. Now that I’m older I just don’t enjoy the plot anymore. There is SO many things I didn’t enjoy about this book and the previous one

Well that’s the six main books done. Try as I might, I just don’t have the enthusiasm to check out the further books. A little disappointed that it was made clear before this one there would be 6 books only for the author to suddenly change her mind and leave the ending a little too open. It feels more like greed than a desire to continue the story.

I’m so happy that this isn’t the end of Maeve’s story! I’ve grown to love these amazing characters and the intricate story LJ has created. We finally have more answers about Maeve and her family as well! I can’t wait to learn more in Winterfall Magic!

Another action thriller of a book in this series! I am enjoying reading them growing so much. The story keeps you coming back for more. I want her to with Tobias as well. Surprises happen in this one too.

Another continuation to a series that i just wish was over already. This was just ok, you learn some new things about Maeve and other characters, but I just feel like this is dragging on. And the next book isn't out till June next year.....ugh...I may just be done.

This is an action packed page turner
I like how the story progressed and the changes that all the characters go through. I don't want to give away anything but suffice to say it's a great continuation of the series and a couple of arch enemies bite the dust. Addictive stuff...

...but not all. This is a very intense story, with lots of threads coming together. We see a lot of secrets revealed, however are left with yet more to unravel. Book 7 will hopefully have answers.

The story continues and you find out about her magic and the curse. You see relationship falter and have to overcome lots of trust and issue. You are surprised but who's good and who's evil. Cannot wait to see what happens next

So we go through 6 books of near misses and supposed sexual tension only for there to be more questions than ever when we get to the end.
Nothing is really wrapped up and i have just learnt there is a spin off series to this set of 6.

Fantastic
This series has amazing world building that immediately draws you in. The ensemble cast of characters is equally enthralling. This is a long range plot, so the series needs to be read in order. Definitely binge worthy!
