Not a Tale for the Faint of Heart. I enjoyed the story of how Byron Chance came to the knowledge of what he was. I enjoyed the Erotic tale. I enjoyed pretty much everything except the sex trafficking of minors. In my opinion there is a special place in Hell for these people. I have VERY strong opinions about that. I understand why Byron had to have a hard upbringing, but I just wish that that horrible thing didn't exist and that neither character or reader would be placed in such an emotional environment.

This was a very good book. I liked the story line and thought that it was very well written. I loved reading about Byron Chance who is a Dhampir. A dhampir is a very good looking child of a vampire and a human. I can not wait to read more of Byron's story.

Very Mixed Emotional Feelings

Byron Chance always felt a little different than his fellow students. He was faster, stronger, and even at the age of 12, sexier to the girls. He leaves home at 12 because his mother was going to move in with one of her Johns and he did not want a kid around. So begins the sordid life of Byron Chance.

This very short serial novella was great fun - except for the age, and family relations, of some of the participants in this very sexual story.

Yet another great story of love and circumstances!

This book has every emotional button you can press. I went from smiling to gasping to near crying. Byron Chance the main character has grown up in this book. And growing up is hard to do! But if your a Damphir.. Well maybe it's not so hard.. But maybe it's worse in some ways.. The paths Byron goes down has turning the page quickly. Great book. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed reading this story and it was a nice quick read. While several aspects of poor Byron's life sucked it was awesome seeing how he brushed it off and moved on. It did feel like there were parts of the story missing though or just too much time passed to have been skipped (not sure I'm explaining it correctly but I think you might understand what I mean). I really did love reading the story though and it really did help into understanding Byron better and getting more of his history.

P Mattern gives us a background story from the World of Azglen. It was very erotic and a bit disturbing due to sex trafficking. But a fabulous read!
