A runaway bride brings trouble and temptation to a stone-hearted single dad in this emotional and scorching hot romance by Wall Street Journal bestselling author Nicole Snow.
Is there any coming back after you blow your own wedding to pieces? I braced for the fallout when I left my emotionally unavailable groom. I expected the tears, the family wrath, the drama galore. I found the perfect little cabin to hideout and heal. But I never planned for him.
Archer Rory makes my bridal breakdown look tame. A gruff single dad with a genius son. A billionaire control freak who only speaks common sense. Also, the man who's now my landlord, my boss, and my protector. Whew.
I think we were doomed the instant I agreed to help him with some very special bees. Maybe it's the big daddy vibes he breathes or the way Mr. Heartless secretly cares. I'm sure the hottest minute of my life when his lips stormed mine has nothing to do with it. Oh, but every day we're drifting closer to those three reckless words. And once they're out, will it be heaven or heartbreak?
A standalone grumpy x sunshine romance with high heat, heart, and so many laugh out loud moments. Come see the snarliest billionaire who swore off love try to resist his unexpected damsel in distress and try not to cheer.

The heroine was good at three things: crying, sex, and bees The heroine was bad at three things: thinking, planning, and camping
(Really, really bad at camping.)
The hero was good at three things: parenting, bitchiness, and sex The hero was bad at three things: thinking, openness, and women
Since a huge, huge portion of this book was spent inside the heads of both characters, it’s too bad they were both so stupid. And boring. Their thoughts—SO MANY THOUGHTS—tended to run in strings of simple, declarative sentences that went on and on and on. That’s how this book delivered the bulk of its story: alternating characters telling us what they were thinking and feeling. In repetitive, excruciating detail.
During their first hot sex scene, the heroine interrupted her string of simple, declarative sentences telling the reader what she was feeling and doing with a string of simple, declarative sentences enumerating her ex-fiancé’s failures Not to worry, though. She eventually thought her way back to what she was doing with the hero.
I kid you not.
If two people can manage to make sex boring, imagine what they can do with the rest of their day.
The ending was so lame I laughed. At myself. For staying until the end.
Two stars only because there were individual sections which were readable instead of ridiculous.
(If you found those last four simple, declarative sentences annoying, this is not the book for you.)
Three Reckless Words is the third book in the Rory Brothers series and is probably my favorite. It is a steamy single dad romance between Archer Rory and Winnie Emberly. It also has all the elements that I love about a Nicole Snow book- the humor, the chapter titles, the nicknames, the hot grumpy man, the steamy smexy parts, the snarky banter, the heart, the soul, the drama…I think you can tell that she is one of my favorite authors. Three Reckless Words is considered a standalone, but if you have the time I would read the first two books of the series before this one.
Archer Rory is the oldest sibling in the Rory family and the serious, no-nonsense brother and business partner that Patton and Dexter can depend on. He’s devoted his life to raising Colt, his teenage son, while juggling the business and all their expansion plans. All of this has Archer pretty busy and content. But when he gets a late night call involving his one and only son, he never expected his life to turn upside down and be for the better.
Winnie Emberly is young, vibrant daughter of a high profile family. She has lived a life of privilege and has learned to live the life that has been paved for her. But when she realizes that the life her parents want for her doesn’t align with what she had envisioned, she flees to the outdoors and to a place that can calm her nerves and ground her while she figures out her next moves. She never expected to be in the company of one of her true loves, bees, or a hot grumpy single dad who makes her knees go weak with just a glance. Thinking about a life with those two things makes her think about her future and the unknown but when her past threatens her future she realizes that maybe she can’t have the life she only dreamed about.
Archer and Winnie’s relationship was filled with steamy tension, heated glances, and memorable moments. From the moment they met, they had an instant connection that neither one of them could ignore. And the more they tried to ignore it, the harder it was to deny that the connection they had was real and full of life. But once they get together, it was like boom dynamite and from then on it was hot and steamy honey goodness.
I highly recommend this book because it’s everything you want in a romance book and more. You will not be able to put it down once you start and you will fall in love with all the characters along the way. Plus to get to learn some pretty cool facts about bees and if the holy grail of honey does exist, I definitely want to try some. And I also hope that in the future there will be a book for Colt. If you have been on the fence to read a book by the lovely Nicole Snow, then this is your sign to one click or borrow on KU. I promise you won’t regret reading this book!
I should know better than to pick up a book by Nicole Snow and expect to get anything done for the rest of the day. But I don’t and I did and I didn’t.😊 As usual Ms Snow had me fully engaged in the story from page one. This is the third instalment in the Rory Brothers series with its focus on gorgeous, gumpalicious Archer. He is the steady, no nonsense, single dad doing his best to raise a brilliant teenage son and run a successful business (with the other two Rory Brothers). Enter Winnie, bright, kind and caring, a bit broken (but with a will of steel) and with an obsession with bees. She is the light and warmth that Archer has been missing in his life for the last number of years. The meet cute between Winnie and Archer is the bee-ginning of a chemistry fuelled relationship that just keeps getting hotter as the story continues. Having said that it takes Archer, in particular, a while to get out of his own way before he acknowledges his true feelings. Ms Snow has an uncanny ability to create supporting characters who will give you all the feels. Colt, who readers will know from the previous books in the series, is a teen now and it is wonderful to see him continue to grow and develop into a kind young man. As always, there are also some cringe-worthy characters who will make you grind your teeth. And throughout the story the bees will enchant as Winnie expounds on their many virtues. This is a story with just the right mix of heat, humour and tension. The Bee puns are often groaners, but also perfect! And I don’t think anyone will be able to do anything but smile when they see a bee flitting from flower to flower after reading this story. Winnie would definitely approve of that! I received a free advanced review copy from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily.
Being a runaway bride and blowing up her life was not the plan. Escaping a marriage Winnie did not want, was definitely the plan. Winnie finds herself in a secluded cabin, contemplating her life and the mess she's just made. Higher Ends, owned by the Rory brothers, has expanded into luxury rentals. The cabin Winnie has rented happens to be one of theirs. Archer Rory's son Colton makes Archer's meet-cute with Winnie not as appealing as it sounds. Archer, billionaire/control freak, is there to reprimand his son for an incident that happened at the cabin. After getting the runaway bride's story, Archer decides to help her by letting her hide out for a while, which is perfect for Winnie because in the backyard garden there are bees. Winnie is all about the bees. As a child, Winnie became enamored with them, thanks to her grandmother. Being in constant contact, Archer and Winnie succumb to their feelings, but they try not to put a label on what they have. Missteps are made which lead to confusion. Archer has been married before and that blew up royally. Winnie is definitely different but she comes with a lot of baggage in the form of an angry ex fiance and a controlling father. Her family is very connected and they will stop at nothing to get Winnie back under their thumb. Archer has strong feelings for Winnie and she is most definitely worth fighting for, but how far is he willing to go? I love this family!!! The main chararcters, being opposites, mesh well. Archer is a protective alpha who is always on high alert. Winnie is more carefree and coming into her own. Their chemistry is undeniable and intense. The story was emotional and engaging and it hit the ground running and never let up! This entire series is a must read!!!
“Three Reckless Words" by Nicole Snow is a gripping and heartfelt romance novel that captivates from the very first page. The story centers around the intoxicating chemistry between the fiercely independent heroine and a ruggedly charming hero, capturing the essence of a modern-day love story filled with unexpected twists and turns.
Nicole Snow masterfully weaves a narrative that is both touching and thrilling, with characters that are deeply relatable and irresistibly engaging. The dialogue is sharp and witty, and the emotional depth of the characters' journey keeps readers invested throughout.
The pacing of the novel is perfect, balancing the romantic tension with moments of humor and intense drama. The author's ability to create vivid settings and scenarios allows the reader to be entirely immersed in the story world, making it hard to put the book down.
Overall, "Three Reckless Words" is a fantastic read for anyone who loves a passionate romance with strong, dynamic characters. Nicole Snow's writing is both beautiful and compelling, making this book a must-read for fans of the genre. I highly recommend it!
My goodness, this was such a beautiful love story! I absolutely adored Archer and Winnie. The Grump with the secret soft heart, and the Sweetheart looking for her place in the world. And of course Colt, who tied this story together perfectly. I'm such a sucker for any single parent romances, so this is one that I will hold near and dear to my heart. I was attached to this book from the very first page, and the hard fought HEA was absolute perfection. This was the perfect ending for the Rory brothers, although I'd love to see more of them! Congratulations on another fantastic book Nicole!
I absolutely couldn’t get enough of Winnie and Archer’s story. From page one I was absolutely hooked. I love a good Grumpy/sunshine book and this was absolutely amazing. I absolutely love all the characters. Truly another amazing read by Nicole that everyone needs to check out.
There is absolutely nothing that Nicole could write that i wouldnt read. And Three Reckless Words was no exception. Loved it from start to finish. Winnie and Archer was great together. Winnie parents were absolutely the worst they were horrid. Her Father I wanted to slap so badly and colt was the greatest of kids. Never knew purple honey existed until I read this book. I highly recommend this book. Well done Nicole you knocked this right out the part. #bksbloggingandreviews.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
She's immature and he's supposed to be the older smart one and he's so not it. And way too much ex drama
I'm very much questioning his parenting choices when his ex wife that abandoned their kid comes back and proves not once but multiple times what a crazy nut job she is, he still lets his kid in her company. She was horrible and i hated her. 🥲
I find writing reviews for books I neither love nor hate the most difficult to write because I don’t want to leave readers with the wrong impression about the story either way. I mean, I might not love a book but other readers may. And dammit, I know the author has put their blood, sweat and soul into crafting a story whether I like it or not. So there in lies my dilemma with this book. This series if I’m being completely honest with you. My biggest issue with this series which continues in this the last book is that the Rory brothers all behave like adolescents that can barely tolerate being in each other’s presence when they’re together. Yeah, they’ll support each other when push comes to shove but you’d never know that just listening to them when they get together whether for a business meeting or a family gathering. It seems to me their verbal assaults go far beyond normal sibling ribbing. In fact, it’s hard for me to imagine why three brothers who have such personality conflicts would have agreed to form a company and work together? I’m also not a big fan of male protagonists whose default setting is uptight grump and in this series both Dexter Rory the first male protagonist and Archer Rory this books protagonist both fit that bill. Only the youngest Rory Patton didn’t act like he had a stick up his ass. This author specializes in writing stories with grumpy male protagonists with hearts of gold and female protagonists that can see past their grumpiness and bring out their softer more caring side. Archer Rory, eldest of the three Rory brothers follows this M.O. Archer is a caring single dad who like most of us who have raised teenagers is struggling to find his footing in how to guide his suddenly teenaged son Colt on a daily basis while he’s also struggling with the realities of watching Colt take those early steps from childhood to manhood. Archer was dating Colt’s mother Dina when she became pregnant. Telling himself they were in love and wanting to do the right thing Archer quit the Army Rangers, and married Dina. But as oft happens when people marry too young or for the wrong reasons the marriage didn’t last very long. Dina wasn’t emotionally equipped to be a wife and mother. So she and Archer divorced and she spent her time living a Bohemian lifestyle with Archer’s financial help, traveling the world infrequently popping in and out of Colt’s life leaving Archer to do the heavy lifting in raising their son. And Archer deeply resents Dina for both leaving him to raise their son alone and for not caring enough about Colt to be a consistent part of his life. Wynne “Winnie” Emberly is an interesting character. She grew up in a life of privilege wanting for little in material things but having little in the way of having her parents love and attention. She was pretty much raised by her parents hired help while her mom focused on being a society matron and supporting her father’s political ambitions. .Her father, the Missouri State A.G. was a very domineering, controlling man to the point of even telling Winnie what her college major would be. After college graduation he got her a job working as a senator’s aide and with the senator made plans for her to marry his son Holden to advance his own political career. Her mother was a doormat for her father who never challenged him in his decisions for her own or Winnie’s life. Winnie’s happiest childhood memories were the times she spent with her late maternal grandmother who passed on to Winnie her love of beekeeping. So used to being under her father’s thumb was Winnie that even at 25 years old, it took her until her wedding day to finally rebel against her father’s wishes for her to marry the vain, vacuous Holden, a man she not only didn’t love, but she really didn’t like, and run out of the church still dressed in her wedding gown, and head out for parts unknown. Running away from things without having any real plans as to where she was running to or what she would do when she got there was pretty much Winnie’s M.O. throughout this story. So, after fleeing her wedding Winnie searches on line for a place to hide and try to get her thoughts in order and make plans for the rest of her life since she’d just blown up her past life. Which is how she came to rent Solitude a luxury cabin in the woods outside of Kansas City owned by Higher End, Archer and his brothers real estate company. Archer and Winnie meet when on her first night at Solitude she catches Colt and two of his friends blowing off fireworks in her backyard. After corralling the three miscreants she calls the rental company which causes Archer to show up at the property. I guess you could call this a “run-away bride, age gap, opposites attract trope” because the sunny 12 years younger than Archer, Winnie is definitely his opposite in nearly every way. But despite their differences their physical attraction is both immediate and strong. Although Archer does his very best to ignore it and avoid Winnie. Which becomes impossible because of problems Winnie’s ex-fiancée and father cause her and by extension him. To Winnie’s delight she discovers there are bee boxes in the cabin’s garden and in those boxes she discovers the bees are making a rare and valuable honey. About the same time Winnie’s father somehow freezes her access to both the trust fund her parents gave her and the smaller one her grandmother left her. How he could legally do this was never explained? So now Winnie has no way to pay for her stay at the expensive luxury cabin she had just asked Archer to allow her to extend her stay at. Archer surprises himself by being unable to not allow Winnie to remain at the luxury cabin for a month even though she has no way to pay for her stay. And when Holden begins causing problems at the cabin Archer of course has her move into his house with he and Colt. And of course it isn’t long after that happens that Archer and Winnie begin fornicating on every surface in the house whenever Colt isn’t around or just sleeping. The sex is of course the best either has ever experienced and they are both falling in love. But Archer because of the scars from his first marriage is fighting to allow their relationship to in his mind be anything more than a fling. Of course his heart has other plans. When Winnie’s father begins filing baseless lawsuits against Higher Edge because he’s pissed that Archer has helped Winnie stay out of his control the couple faces real issues that bring the stories only real drama. Each of the two previous stories had a point where someone’s life is in jeopardy and this one is no different. Ultimately of course Archer’s love for Winnie allows him to get his head out of his ass and admit he’s in love with her and they all live happily ever after.
I kept it going and read Archer’s story next. It was everything and nothing what I expected. I knew Archer would be more unsure about starting a relationship and he’d be more on edge and closed off. I was right with that. It was annoying being in his head when it came to Winnie. It was just the fact that he was hell bent on denying they would be more and made sure his brothers, Colt and his mother knew it. He was very vocal about it but his tenderness and need for Winnie showed otherwise. I was having a hard time believing him when he would spew those thoughts around and there were times I was frustrated with him on it. I don’t know if he just didn’t want his family to see him soft or if he didn’t want to talk about his love life or if he really felt that way. His body and words whenever he was with Winnie said otherwise. Yet, I still found myself annoyed with Winnie that even after she overhears Archer saying they would never be more, she still goes back to him as if it never happened. This was new to me because every book I’ve read where the heroine overhears something like that, they immediately pack up and leave, their emotions all in shambles. Not Winnie, she just melted right back into him and let him make her feel good, even though he was the one who sensed he said something wrong but then went back and showed affection to her. This is why his actions and words were confusing to me. The more I reflect on it, the more I realize that I think he just didn’t want to get everyone’s hopes up, including himself and he didn’t want to show his family he was weak or emotional. He just had a really bad way of showing it which gave mixed messages. Aside from Archer’s terrible wording about her with the family, the book kept me just as hooked as the last one. I kept turning the page and moving to the next chapter because it kept my interest and I wanted to know what would happen. When Winnie’s family drama finds its place with The Rory’s and escalates, that’s when things get intense and the idea of the book heading in this direction was surprising. I’ve never read a book that involved legal trouble with papers getting served and high alerts going on. Normally the book doesn’t get to that point, but this one pretty much did. It brought home the deep hatred that was felt with what Winnie did and brought out the worst in people, plus with Archer’s own personal life. He also had his own family drama too that Winnie got caught up in and everything spiraled from there. It wasn’t as exciting as the last book but still, I was into it and it kept me going. I had a proud moment for Winnie once she stood up to her parents and ex. She found her voice and I was so happy for her. Lastly, when Archer finally got his head out of his ass and realized he loves her, that was also a proud moment. I only wish it happened sooner and not in the circumstances it was. This has been a really fun series, I’m glad I continued reading Nicole’s books. I wish there was more from this world but I guess I don’t know who else we could focus on. Maybe their mother? But I don’t know if people will get excited over it, I know I would definitely read it if she decides to write a happily ever after for their mother. Overall this deserves a 5 in my opinion, regardless of the frustration I felt with Archer and his mixed messages.
OH MY! THREE RECKLESS WORDS is a smoldering, slow-burn, age gap, single dad billionaire romance. This book is so unbelievably sweet, infectious, fun and flirty, witty, laugh-out-loud dialogue, and yet sexy and emotional that it is unputdownable. This book will have you hanging on to every word because it is the perfect catalyst for love that you will devour every chapter! You simply won’t be able to get enough! Get ready to fall in love with this story.
Winnie, the runaway bride, escaped from marrying the fiance that her controlling father arranged, but she did not want to marry him. Not knowing where she was running to, Winnie needs a safe place to hide out for awhile—low and behold she found a secluded cabin that she could rent to hide. Little did she know that the Highter Ends cabins belongs to Archer Rory and his brothers. The handsome, grumpy billionaire single dad—Archer Rory is emotionally disconnected since his ex-wife left him and his son, his walls are impenetrable as Alkatraz, and his self-control is rock solid—so he thinks! He is very grumpy about this beautiful woman who showed up out of nowhere with a ripped wedding gown hanging in the cabin. After hearing her story, Archer decides to let Winnie stay in the cabin. One caveat, Winnie had to help with the ‘special bees’! What is that about? Winnie is so resilient, sassy, feisty, obstinate, and I loved that she did not take Archer’s crap. Archer and Winnie are attracted to each other, and they are drawn together like the proverbial moth to the flame and their chemistry is palpable, reflected in every look, every touch, and every word uttered between them—yet, they avoid the three reckless words! What do you do when your ex-fiance and controlling father comes looking for you? You will be surprised! Find out what happened—what a conundrum! This story is entertaining and fervent with a dash of dreams coming true. There are several twists and turns within the story that makes it interesting. Nicole Snow satisfies hearts longing for laughter in their love stories, with some sexy scenes, and a battle of wits is tremendously fun. I highly RECOMMEND this book—you won’t regret it! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Archer Rory, business owner, single father, grumpy billionaire jaded against love. He got burned once before by his ex who left him and his son Colton, now a genius teenager prone for trouble. He's got enough on his plate without adding a mysterious guest to his new luxury cabin. A ripped up wedding dress, a bride without her groom, and a meddlesome controlling father who won't stop calling add to the mystery that Archer's determined to solve. Winnie has been under her father's controlling thumb her whole life, even going along with an arranged marriage... until she puts on the dress that becomes like a prison and realizes marriage to a controlling husband she doesn't love is the last thing she wants. She books a last minute reservation to a luxury cabin with a promising name. Solitude. Just what she looking for. And she takes it as a sign that there are bee boxes in the yard, her love of bees learned from her beloved grandmother. Her grumpy landlord almost changes her mind, but he soon becomes a friend, protector, and more. This is the first book I've read in this series, and probably would be better after reading the others as background, but it can be read as a standalone. I loved everything about this book. Winnie is finding herself, becoming a free spirit with a sunny personality, enjoying the first freedom she's had in her life. And Archer, who starts out being grumpy, turns into a protective alpha with a soft heart for Winnie. I love his relationship with his son Colton and his brothers. The setting of the beautiful cabin and the "special" bees really adds to the story. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Winnie is looking for a new life, sick of being told what to do, where to work, who to marry, etc. So on her wedding day, still in her dress, she is out and on her way to..somewhere. She finds a rental to stay at, and that one decision will change her life.
Archer and his brothers have worked hard for their company. He’s a single father to a brilliant son, Colt. One night, Colt is out doing things he shouldn’t, and Archer has to go to one of their rentals to pick him up. Upon arrival, the renter, Winnie, is feeding the three, Colt one of them, wedding cake. Archer and Winnie don’t exactly hit it off but she inquires about staying longer, to which he agrees. His son now grounded, and hopefully he won’t have any more issues from the rental.
Well, that’s the start..so it ends up that Winnie loves bees, and Archer has bees on the property, special bees. And bees take on a whole story of this own. As everyone is cordial and blissful, remember the first part..about Winnie being told what to do with her life? Well, she walked away from that, her parents and ex, and they are not happy about it. Now they enter the story and complicate things big time! So Winnie has to decide what’s she going to do, go back to her old life, or stand her ground in hopes of a new life.
Very good read overall. I truly liked the story line. For me, it read a bit slow in the beginning but once it got past the halfway point, it was hard to put down. Very entertaining at that point. I didn’t realize this was part of a series, book 3, and it read ok as a stand alone. The first 2 books are Archer’s brothers so I will go back and read them when I get time.
Archer Rory is a single dad. His son Colt is 13yrs old, and is very smart, taking college summer school classes to get credits. But, his son, is also a teenager, and they like to do things they shouldn't be doing. Winnie catches Colt, and his friends her first night at the air b n b setting off fire works and Winnie calls his dad. Archer has been divorced from Colt's mom for some time, and has mostly sworn off women, until he meets Winnie. She's younger than he is about 12 yrs? But, he is instantly taken with her and her 'free' spirit so to speak.
Winnie Emberly is the daughter of a Attorney General. She is use to high political office cabinet members being in her house while she was growing up. She doesn't want the same kind of marriage her parents had, a political one. At the beginning of the book we have Winnie leaving her own wedding in her wedding dress. She couldn't stand to be there one more second. Her fiancée she never wanted to be with him. Their parents set them up and thought they would be a good match. Winnie wanted love out of a marriage, not just a boring picture perfect marriage.
Winnie winds up in a small town outside of Kansas City. Her air b n b she has rented has honey bees / hives on the property and she's in love. She grew up helping her grandmother with her hives. That's what Winnie wants to do is be a honey bee keeper, but that wasn't approved by her dad. But, Winnie wants to live her life, not her father's life he has planned out for her.
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
Nicole has done it again with this book you definitely don't want to miss reading it. Winnie knew this wasn't what she wanted, she was only pleasing her parents. Never did she think she'd be part of an arranged marriage, yet here she is but she knew she couldn't do it. She felt part of a rom com driving away in her wedding dress, but she didn't care finally she was going to start living her best life. No more pleasing her parents, no more attending stuffy galas, no more politics and never being good enough. Finding a remote cabin she could hideaway until she made a proper plan. Archer did everything for his family especially his son, after his ex left he brought him up as best he could and strived to keep he happy. Running a company with his brother's which was constantly growing as well as being a father was all he had time for. When a new tenant reports a firework disturbance and his son being one of the culprits he knew his son would be grounded. But when the gorgeous woman opens the door his grumpy demeanour is overwhelmed yet he still is gruff and can't help just constantly putting his foot in it. Then he sees the wedding dress and his mind goes haywire. Can this sweet, happy, friendly, sassy woman win over the grump. Will Winnie's ex put a spanner in the works. Between purple honey, way too many bee puns and interfering ex's will there be a hea. Or will this steamy couple never put the past behind them. I loved this story and can't recommend it enough
The initial dialogue got me interested in the story and characters. Sorry, I tend to rant when a story disappoints me. It's set in a fictional town, Springfield, supposedly not far from Kansas City (I lived in KC for years so am familiar with it). The Rory family meets in Lee's Summit, yet somewhere Winnie talks about how Springfield is hundreds of miles from Kansas City. The story has the usual cliches including an evil father who arranged her marriage, toxic ex-wife, runaway bride, insta-attraction after 2 days, age gap, grumpy man and flighty young woman with daddy issues (she often describes him as 'big daddy'). I liked Archer but not the rest of the characters. Really not interested in reading through all this; at 28% I'm bored, and this story is too long. He is very grumpy and put out about Winnie in her 1st two days at the cottage hiding out from her family and arranged marriage because she's causing him problems. He is annoyed at her quirkiness. Winnie is traumatized at how she, rightfully so, blew up her 'princess' lifestyle, when she ran from an arranged marriage. At 20% though, suddenly Archer almost kisses her and she was ready to 'climb him like a tree'. What? Where did that come from? Then her dad threatens her to take all her trust fund monies away from her, even her grandmothers. How old is Winnie? Can he do that? She needs an attorney. Just couldn't read it. DNF

MFC Winnie has just left her groom at the alter in the author’s newest contemporary romance Three Reckless Words. With a definite humorous streak running through the prose and a grumpy billionaire to tame, this was another delightful story to get lost in. Arriving at the perfect little cabin get away after running out on her own wedding Winnie has found just the place to restore some peace to her life before she has to face the proverbial music. MMC single dad Archer Rory is the properties landlord and isn’t pleased when notified on the night of her arrival his teenage son and two friends were caught trespassing. Winnie handles the situation with grace and Archer can’t decide if she is a crack pot or worse after seeing a shredded wedding gown on the floor, and her enthusiasm over the bee hives in the garden. Turns out those bees are making some really special honey and Archer is finding himself very much attracted to his new guest even as he is in total denial! Loved the writing, and characters, family dynamics, spice, emotion, sweetness, and romance that developed between the leads despite the ex drama that intruded from both sides. A wonderful heartwarming story! HEA.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Archers and Winnie's story was entertaining. The run-away bride trope was fun and the character's dialogue and inner thoughts encompassed allot of "feels" giving the reader a good look at each character's personality. The "save the bees" was an added development of the story that took center stage as Winnie's family and past comes to haunt her. Her father, mother's and ex-fiancé level of harassment and chaos just keep developing to a level of criminality,
I liked Winnie's character because considering everything she had been through with her family, she was still a very strong female character. The fact she left her arranged marriage fiancé at the alter was definitely worth the read. She admittedly made mistakes along the way and at times didn't have the best judgement, but overall was a character that was a survivor.
She and Archer's slow burn love story had quite a bit of push and pull until they finally pushed past the issues that had kept them apart. Once that happened it was an instant sexual attraction/lust that they had a hard time controlling. Like most stories in this genre there was too many misunderstandings and things said that had to be dealt with by books' end in order for them to find happiness.
I loved Colt and his friends and Archer's two younger brothers. Great characters that added plenty of substance to this story.
Nicole Snow delivers a perfect conclusion to the Three Reckless series with Three Reckless Words. Just like the first two books, this one had me hooked from start to finish. Archer, the grumpiest of the three brothers, stole the show with his brooding personality and hardened heart—until Winnie came crashing into his life.
After enduring heartbreak from his first marriage, Archer had no intention of letting anyone in. But fate had other plans when Winnie, fresh from running out on her own wedding, ends up at his high-end rental. Neither of them was looking for love, yet their chemistry was undeniable. Winnie’s escape from a loveless marriage led her to exactly what she needed—someone who challenged her, protected her, and, despite his grumpy demeanor, loved her fiercely.
One of my favorite aspects of this book was how Winnie’s connection to bees and her memories of her grandmother added warmth and depth to her character. It was a touching detail that made her journey even more meaningful.
This book had everything—drama, passion, emotional healing, and sizzling hot scenes. If you love a grumpy-sunshine romance with plenty of heart, Three Reckless Words is a must-read!
Reading Archer and Winnie's story feels like being hit by a force of nature, a male beast whose actions constantly take your breath away, make your heart race, your skin tingle and make you all hot and bothered. Oh. My. Gosh! I am so swooning over Archer, there's no turning back. He makes me forget all my past book boyfriends, that's for sure! And I've fallen so madly in love with Winnie, with her sweetness and shyness, who takes no shit from her cantankerous counterpart. She is so adorable and inspiring that words fail me. Like every book penned by Ms. Snow, this one had me riveted to the pages from the first sentence, thanks to fantastically fleshed-out characters and an intricate storyline that had me laughing out loud and groaning in frustration ... in short, that sent me through the whole range of emotions in the blink of an eye. With her way of describing and transferring emotions so vividly, the reader feels like they are right in the middle of the action, whether it's everyday life, sexy times or drama. I would argue that this story can't be topped, but Ms. Snow has proven me wrong time and time again, so I patiently await her next stroke of genius!
I freaking loved this book! The MMC is grumpy and older. The FMC is a runaway bride and bee obsessed. These two are so very different but couldn't be more perfect for one another!
Archer is a single dad just trying to live his life and avoid complications. Then he meets Winnie, a younger woman who is in the midst of blowing up her life. She's sweet and beautiful and trying to start over. I hated that she has never really been able to live the way she wants. Watching her bloom was beautiful! Archer is a broody billionaire with an incredible son, Colt. He's been burned by his ex wife and doesn't want to make that mistake again. So he tried to stay away from Winnie, but there's just something about her that draws him in.
I loved watching these two fall in love! The pacing was perfect, the storyline was intriguing, and the HEA was amazing. Archer loved Winnie and everything about her. Winnie showed Archer what true love was. The way she loved the bees was quirky and so sweet. Colt added another layer to this already amazing story as well. I couldn't put this book down!
Winnie is a runaway bride and a desperate woman. She never expected her refuge to include her one frowned upon passion in life - BEES. Now she is free it’s time to embrace her passion so long as she can convince Archer to let her stay temporarily as his bee keeper. Her story brings out all his natural instincts to protect her. Whist he thinks her bee obsession is crazy, it’s also totally contagious. Archer has his own demons and baggage to contend with. Although he tries unsuccessfully to keep Winnie at a distance, there’s something about her that will get through his barriers. Together they are insatiable. However their tiny bubble can’t last forever. With outside influences determined to do anything to get Winnie back, what will be the cost of being a runaway bride? Will her passion for the bees be her downfall or her salvation? What a fantastic story, we have a hot, brooding, protective alpha male, his much loved, sarcastic but supportive brothers, a woman breaking free of the shackles of her life and a new love – not just for Archer but for bees. This story packs quite a punch. It’s heart stopping, emotional, gripping, passionate, dramatic and totally infectious.
Winnie is a runaway bride seeking refuge in small cottage away from everyone. She never loved her groom to be and this was arranged marriage from the start. She was just going along until she couldn't breathe any more so she ran. She finally felt free to do what she wanted until three teenagers shows up in her cottage. She immediately calls Archer Rory who is the owner of the property and a father of one of the kids. She never expected a handsome but grumpy dad to show up. Their exchange wasn't pleasant but as long as she can stay she didn't mind. Archer was fine with devoting his life to raising Colt until sweet Winnie showed up in his property. And things get hot and steamy when they start discussing honey and bees. Archer thought he was immune to love but whenever Winnie is present, he is a different person and slowly changing. Even his son Colt getting along with her. She is changing his life for the better but he can't make up his mind until he wrecks it all. I really loved Winnie and her sunshine personality. She is so lovable and she softens Archer's grumpiness. Their chemistry is off the charts and they grow their love. Also I loved how bee was in all the chapter headlines. I read all the Rory brother's and this one is my favorite.

I did enjoy this story, very much, but there were a few things that were irritating to me. When there are avenues to consider that aren't even thought of, it drives me crazy.
For example: Once he found out that Rina was a witness to Holden, why didn't he press charges and have her give a statement? The pictures only were mentioned near the end, after she is already about to leave, but there still wasn't much that came of it. Why wouldn't they have a press conference to tell the world about the abuse of power of her dad going after the company? He was obviously gunning for them, and the two of them with the press could have seriously hurt him politically, if nothing else.
I am glad that her dad wised up at the end, when he nearly lost his daughter. It shows that he does care for her at least a little.
I did like the bees in this book, but I think she came across as a crazy bee lady initially. I was totally agreeing with Archer on that one. Heck, she still did even later, but she toned it down a bit, at least.
I did like this, and I would recommend this book to others.

An exciting read as Winnie decided at the last minute, she was not going through with the arranged marriage her father had planned, so she escaped from Springfield, Missouri to Kansas City, Missouri to a small out the way cabin. There were honeybee hives in the back flower garden which played a major role throughout the story. Archer Rory and his brothers owned the cabin, but Archer's son, Colton and friends were the ones that scared Winnie by setting fireworks off and breaking into the cabin. She reported them to reception, which caused Archer to go pickup the kids. There was an undeniable attraction between Archer and Winnie when they met. She found a purpose with the honeybees behind cabin, and she was determined to follow through. Those honeybees were special. Then the ex-fiance showed up causing Archer to move her to his house for her safety. Good thing to, because her dad and ex-fiance did not play fair. Enjoy this wonderfully suspense filled romance.

Since I have read a book by Nicole Snow. The ads for this book was showing up everywhere on my social media feed. So, I knew it was time to get back on the wagon (so to speak). You can read Three Reckless Words as a complete stand alone. Archer Rory is a grumpy single dad who owns a luxury rentals company with his two other brothers. Winnie is a runaway bride who rents out a glamping cabin from the company Archer owns. On the night Winnie arrives, she spots three teens setting off fireworks by her cabin. She catches the teens and gives them a lecture that any parent would be proud of. She calls the rental company and when Archer comes spotting his son eating (wedding) cake you’re like wait… I thought these kids are in trouble. These two are fun to read together. The infectious joy Winnie brings trumps Archer’s surliness. Plus, the ribbing from everyone else in the Rory family will just have you laughing. After reading Three Reckless Words, I will try not to go too far between Nicole Snow books again.
Winnie and Archer will keep you in stitches and it won’t take you long to fall in love with this grumpy billionaire single dad, his genius son and his damsel in distress. She’s the daughter of the Attorney General of a large state and was engaged to the son of the US Senator from the same state. She finally got the nerve to escape from this arranged marriage by leaving right before she walked down the aisle. Still in her wedding dress he arrives at Archer’s cabin she has rented and her life begins to change. An age-gap romance with plenty of drama and angst. A troublesome ex-wife, an annoying ex-fiance, a controlling father, frozen trust funds, glorious bees, explosive chemistry and lots of steam. This book is well written with amazing characters and an enchanting story line. Hard to put down. An ending you’ll like and no cliffhanger. Runaway Bride, Grumpy Guy to "Save" Her, Charming Teen, and Beekeeping - So Much to Love!
This book was so much fun and so action packed I could not put it down, and despite its length read it in one day. It was well written with wonderful characters, suspenseful plot twists and turns, and with intriguing facts about bees and beekeeping sprinkled in. I found myself really liking both Winnie and Asher - the story is told via dual POV - and thus cheering for their HEA. I also liked that both of them had personal growth throughout the story and benefited from their relationship as did his son Cole who was a sweetheart. I also enjoyed reading the updates about Asher's family who I remembered from previous books (which are not necessary to read but also enjoyable). I can't wait for the next book from this author - Enjoy!

Winnie just can’t be married in an arranged marriage, she runs away from her wedding in her wedding dress. Winnie goes to a cabin in a small town to escape her controlling father and ex-fiance. There is a problem with three teens outside her cabin and when she calls about it, the grumpy man who shows up is to die for. Archer is an older man who is a billionaire and a single dad to Colton. Colton was one of the teens she called about. Archer is guarded because of his ex-wife. Winnie loves being in the cabin and she enjoys the garden with all the bees. The development of a relationship between Archer and Winnie is an interesting story. Will Archer be able to overcome his past? Will Winnie get away from her father and ex? Will Colton be able to fit in with Archer and Winnie? Will Archer and Winnie find love and happiness? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
