** 3 “because you’re mine” STARS **

“You have fire, you have soul. Your strength and resilience amaze me. Your gentleness and kindness humble me. Your beauty takes my breath away. If I could have only one thing in this life, it would be you.”
~ JAGGER

 description

Her whole life, Arianne Hunter has dreamed of running away from the world she was born into, a world in which men are emperors and women are their property... But in the arms of Jagger Knight , the president of the “Sinner’s Tribe MC” and her fathers biggest rival, she starts to feel like maybe with the right man she might be comfortable with even the most unacceptable rules...

description

So why only 3 stars?

#1 // One of the tamest, most Disney-fairytale-like MC stories I have ever read! I am really sorry, but it was a bit ridiculous and not even slightly realistic.

#2 // INSTA LOVE!

#3 // Not enough MC action. All the guys act tough and remind us constantly that they are so BADASS, but they do nothing to really prove it.

#4 // Jagger... If I've opened up a Biker Romance, I don't expect to read about a MC prez that shits rainbows and pukes butterflies, NO!

OVERALL: Too sweet for my taste, but if you guys are looking for something softer than the regular MC Romances, this one might be golden for you! Plus, the sex is HAWT! ;)

“When I fuck you the first time, sweetheart,” he murmured, nuzzling her neck, “we’re gonna need a bed, ’cause I want to take it slow. So slow that by the time I slide my cock inside you, there won’t be an inch of your body I haven’t claimed. And when I make you come, you’ll be so fucking wet and ready, you’re gonna scream my name.”

"Family. Freedom. Brotherhood. Loyalty. Honor. This was his world."

As Rough Justice begins, there has been a horrible case of arson. The Sinners Clubhouse has been torched by a rival club. The only suspect who is caught is a girl on a bike.

description

Arianne is the daughter of the evil Jack's President Viper. She has spent her life escaping abuse. Her dad has used her to peddle drugs, weapons and everything else illegal! She has persevered by learning how to handle a pistol, ride her ninja, hustle in the pool hall, and try to give her little brother love. All she has dreamed about is escaping this life with her brother Jeff. The night of the fire her dreams are decimated!

Arianne is such a strong heroine. I love that she didn't panic only immediately shifted into fix it mode! Despite being held by ruthless bikers, she can't help but notice the fine looking specimen of the man holding her captive.

"During her years with the Jacks, she’d learned the hard way how to stay cool around dangerous men. Problem was, except for her father, she’d never met a man so dangerously attractive as Jagger."-Arianne

description

Jagger is the President of the Sinners Tribe. As a retired military man he runs his club with an iron fist. He is loyal to his brothers and is level headed and even tempered. He isn't afraid to take care of business and yet he has a certain tenderness in his spirit. In the past, he lost a girl that was precious to him. It left him with a guilt that he has not been able to get over. Although he hasn't had any trouble spending time with the women at the club, he has guarded his heart and vowed to never take an old lady! Then he meets Arianne!

"This was the kind of woman who should be in his bed. Sassy, sensual, and full of fire."-Jagger

Arianne has landed straight from the frying pan into the fire. Jagger is forced to keep her under lock and key until he can discover who burned down his clubhouse. Arianne is one smart and sassy heroine. She uses her wits to widdle her way into Jagger's heart.

"Regret was a weakness. As was compassion. And he’d extended too much of that already."-Jagger

Jagger isn't the only one affected by Arianne. The entire club is shocked by her ability to shoot and handle a motorcycle.

“She rides, she fixes bikes, she’s hot, and she’s packing. She’s every biker’s wet dream.”

Jagger clears Arianne's name and lets her go. It doesn't take him long to find his way to the bar where she works. As soon as the Jacks find out that Arianne has entangled herself with the Sinners, the intensity in the plot heightens immensely. Jagger puts Arianne under his protection. Although he still isn't ready to take an old lady, he has a hard time resisting the pull to Arianne.

Arianne is so broken and yet so strong. I could not help but admire her strength in this world of violence and adversity.

“I want a better life. A life where I don’t live in fear. Where I’m not pulled out of bed in the middle of the night and forced to be a drug mule, or where I’m not chased down and beaten for disobeying the rules. I want a life where I’m not property. I’m going to be happy. And free. I’m going to find someone who cares whether I live or die; someone Viper can’t touch. I’ll do what it takes to make that happen.”-Arianne

“I promised to protect you. I’m a man of my word. Means I’ll do what it takes to fulfill that promise.”-Jagger

description

The push and pull between Jagger and Arianne was intense. Jagger takes time to build trust with Arianne. She slowly opens up to him about her struggles. Arianne still has hope that she will be able to reunite with her brother and escape to Canada. Now she feels torn. She has feelings for Jagger and recognizes the perfect match they are. Jagger begins to panic that Arianne is going to leave. He knows that it is best for her to leave this life and yet he doesn't want to let her go.

"His protective instincts were already stretched to breaking, and it was everything he could do not to bundle her up and hide her away where no one would hurt her ever again."-Jagger

description

Overall, Rough Justice was a fantastic MC book. There was your typical kidnapping, ransom, beating, hot sex, bar fighting, and fast riding elements to keep me entertained the entire ride! Jagger and Arianne rank as one of my favorite MC couples. The writing was fast paced and with the introduction of the other brothers we are guaranteed to see many more Sinner's stories to come! I will be ready and waiting!

"Family. Freedom. Brotherhood. Loyalty. Honor. This was his world. Their world. Arianne was part of them— part of him. And he would move hell and earth to protect her. He would not fail."-Jagger

Rough Justice is the first book in Sarah Castille new series, Sinner's Tribe Motorcycle Club, and I believe that fans of tamer fictional versions of this violent subculture would enjoy reading it.

What can you expect? Instant love, bad boys with strong sense of what is right and what is wrong, a lot of steamy scenes, usual rivalry between clubs and few hours in the company of fictional men who are, as someone put it cleverly, "God's apology for men in real life".
Unlike many other novels in this genre, Rough Justice is still more similar to "regular" romances with edgier twist, despite occasional scenes of violence. Sinner's Tribe is on kindergarten level compared to Sons of Anarchy or Hell's Horseman. This can be either a good or a bad thing, depending of what you like when it comes to this type of the stories.

Fairy tale about big, bad bikers. This would be the easiest way to describe new book by Sarah Castille. We are constantly reminded that they are "dominant club", that they are criminals and bad men, ex-military or something like that, but mostly it's just a talk. Personally, I couldn't get them seriously because I had a feeling that they were a kids playing bad buys with plastic guns. Or is it that I just have certain expectations based on books written by Lili St. Germain and Madeline Sheehan?

But the romance was really sweet. And hot. Two people that should be enemies falling in love? Strong female character that holds her own? Man who is willing to risk everything because of woman he cares about? If your answer is yes to everything above, you should definitely read Rough Justice because it has it all. One thing that I have to admit is that Sarah Castille can write a panties-melting steamy scenes. Oh, boy... Prepare yourself.

Final judgement? Great start to the new series that will appeal even to the readers who are not such a big fans of the usual MC romance novels.

Arianne's whole life has been in lived in the biker world of misogyny, punishments by fists, and outlaws. She wants a way out of the life and to take her brother with her. But when her plans fall through and she ends up in the hands of Jagger, the Sinners Tribe MC President, her life takes a whole different direction. Jagger is instantly attracted to the sexy biker chick with a sassy mouth and bigger balls than some of his men. He thinks he can tame her, but really, Arianne is the one who will tame Jagger.

Jagger and Arianne had some scorching heat together! Seriously this book was really smexy and not something to be read in public ;) Jagger's character was complicated and he was so unpredictable that it was really fun trying to guess what he would do next. He was crazy possessive but also really sweet, and yet he could go all psycho on someone when you least expected it. I can't actually say whether or not I liked his character because right when I would think that I was loving on him, he would go and do something crazy and I went back to being meh about him.

This was a good story but I just couldn't get really into it at the end. I found some things to be predictable about how it was going to end so that took some of the enjoyment out of the reading experience. Overall, this is definitely a MC book worth reading and I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series. Hopefully it won't be as predictable and will have the same sexy chemistry between characters.

The first book in the Sinners Tribe MC series, Jagger and the Sinners have just been attacked by members of a rival gang, the Black Jacks. They manage to stop one of the attackers, and find out that it’s not just a Black Jack, but Arianne, aka Vexy, daughter of the president of the Black Jacks. Then, drama drama drama, with a heaping helping of romance.

The Good, The Bad and Everything In Between

I think I need a WTF-ery scale: There’s definitely needs to be a grading system, because there’s alot of MC romances and they are not all equal. My scale is 1 to 5 - 1 being your MC lites like Kristen Ashley, and 5 being Madeleine Sheehan (the gold standard of WTF-ery in MC romance) I have to say that this rates a solid 3.5.

This Sinners Tribe crew isn’t trying to go on the straight and narrow, they’re criminals with no apologies. However, they do have lines they don’t cross. There’s shootings and beatings, but there isn’t an elevated level of insanity, cheating, or general nastiness. You don’t have to see alot of sweetbutts, even if they are mentioned alot. No orgies. It’s not full on gritty and raw, but it’s not sweet and light either. I think it would be a good starter MC book, with enough of a edge to keep it interesting.

Jagger’s a dominant Alpha, natch: Jagger needs control. Control over his life, his club and his woman. He’s very protective but I love his definition of “mine.”

Jagger bent down and touched his forehead to hers. “Because you’re mine. And ‘mine’ means I’ll look after you. It means nothing happens you don’t want to happen and no one touches you with your consent. It means your life is in my hands and I will do everything in my power to ensure you are safe and secure and your needs are met. It means something happened to you that twisted your perception so bad, you look at us and you see only them. I’ll make that right. I’ll give you justice. I’ll give you back whatever was taken from you.”

Jagger is drawn to, and struggles with, Arianne’s independence. For him, the journey is learning to find a way to do what he needs to do to protect her while not smothering her personality. He’s a bit obsessed and definitely take no prisoners, but I loved seeing his vulnerability for her.

Arianne’s a badass in her own right: Arianne has suffered alot in her life. Her father wasn’t kind and nurturing. He beat into her from a young age what it meant to be a biker’s property and she loathes the misogynistic lifestyle. She’s dreamt of the day she can leave it all behind, and finally get her brother away from her father and the Black Jacks. She clings to that dream stubbornly, but I really did understand why she couldn’t let it go and her final epiphany made up for it. There’s alot of telling, but also showing, how much of a badass biker chick she is. She’s a good match for Jagger.

The sexy times: There’s definite heat between Jagger and Arianne, and little bit of domination/control, but it doesn’t go into full BDSM.

There’s ALOT going on: There are so many different threads to this canvas that Ms. Castille is weaving that it could be a bit overwhelming at first. There are alot of brothers mentioned with hints as to their individual stories, as well as Arianne’s friends, and all the fringe characters either for or against the Sinners that make up this world of Conundrum, Montana. Every character has so many issues they could start a publishing company. It pushed the story towards the soapy biker drama line for me, and while that’s my cuppa, it may not be everyone’s.

Dialogue, I’d like some more please: This is an issue of style - I generally prefer more dialogue (it goes to the whole show vs tell thing), and there were certain sections that comprised of descriptive text for conversations, instead of showing me the conversations. I would have preferred to enjoy the chemistry and camaraderie between all the characters, instead of being told about it. On the other hand, there were moments of intimacy where Arianne and Jagger spent way too much time telling me what they were going to do, and I had the urge to say “stop bragging folks, just show me.” But this didn’t affect the entire book, only certain passages.

The Bottom Line
MC romances are hit or miss for me, but I really liked it more than I thought I would. This is what you expect from an MC romance - action, danger, and some decent romance. I enjoyed it, and I’m definitely open to seeing what happens next with the Sinners.

4 "Say yes, lips." Stars

It's no secret I'm a sucker for a good MC romance. There's something innately perfect to me about a rough biker falling for a challenging woman in which danger, sex, and chaos thereafter ensue. Sarah Castille gives us an engaging story of lust, passion, betrayal, and danger full of intrigue and surprise wrapped up in tightly written prose.

Jagger is the formidable president of the Sinners Tribe MC. Arianne the fiery, bad ass daughter of Jaggers rival MC. Events neither anticipated but weren't surprised by either drew them together. Lines in the proverbial sand are drawn and fates irrevocably crossed as Jagger manages growing emotions for Arianne while focusing on upholding the standards the run each outlaw MC in the one percent.

An independent strong heroine always garners approval from me and Arianne fit the bill perfectly. She wants freedom and equality but does she want it within the realm of the biker world, a world she desperately wants to escape? Her brash confidence and attitude appeals to the depths of Jagger as his alpha presence takes over the pages. His focus is protection. He's the protector, the keeper, the strong leader. A woman submitting to him yet remaining strong his weakness. They each have targets on their backs they don't fear. Can the two survive the maelstrom their attraction has created?

Rough Justice is my first novel by Sarah Castille and certainly won't be my last. I believed in her characters, enjoyed the structure and flow her plot, and loved the fiery passion she portrayed between Arianne and Jagger. Her writing was concise with the right amount detail where it was needed, sometimes there were circumstances that I'd wished I'd gotten a little more from but nothing that deterred me from reading the story. I enjoyed all the secondary characters. The member of the Sinners Tribe MC made it fun and exciting. The betrayals more alluring as we wonder who's pulling the strings. Even the rival MC provided excellent villains just as Arianne's loyal, civilian friends gave needed understanding and support. The subplots created a lot of space for the series to continue on as we anticipate another dangerous, romantic ride in book two.

Sarah Castille gives great story with Rough Justice. I'm excited to have read her work and became enthralled with another outlaw motorcycle club. I look forward to the hot sparks and dangers lurking in the next story starring Cade and Dawn.

One word. BORIIIING!!!

Don't get me wrong! I love a good MC book as much as the next girl. But this one? It bored me to tears. I had to skip pages (which I rarely do) to get to the end. And that only happened because I am too damn curious.

Never really connected with the characters either, especially the heroine.

I normally don't like MC books. It's not that I have anything against bikers, I just haven't found a MC book that I have been able to connect with until I read this one. I don't know what made me read this book but I'm so glad that I did. I loved this story. I think what made this a 5 star book for me was Jagger. HE IS HOT! He's alpha but he also has this really sweet side and I adored him. Also, I loved Arianne. She's so strong. The writing of this book was so good, I couldn't stop reading once I started. I can't wait to read more books in this series. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves MC books but also anyone who loves a strong female heroine and a sexy romance!

3.5 RATING- I'm sure others will like this more. Overall, an okay read. At times the story felt like it tried too hard and the back and forth between the main characters seemed repetitive. I'm not sure that I would read the next book. I'm getting pickier and pickier about my biker reads. I either want a quality story (like Sheehan or Fanetti) or I want enjoyable, guilty pleasure (vintage Kristen Ashley). Most of the biker/MC books that are flooding the market now are just blah.

Not a revolutionary read, but a great mix of romance and MC club drama with a dose of danger mixed in.

Writing: ★★★★
Romance: ★★★ 1/2
Unique?: ★★ 1/2

In the city of Conundrum, two motorcycle clubs (MCs) both believe they're the reigning MC in the area. Both one percenters—MCs that don't follow the law, outlaws, etc.—the Black Jacks and Sinner's Tribe exist in an uneasy truce as one deals with drugs and one deals with arms.

But when the daughter of the Black Jacks tries to escape her father's abusive and autocratic rule, she runs in the wrong direction—right into the surprised arms of the Sinner's Tribe president.

Arianne has spent her life dreaming of how to escape from the biker life. Tough as nails because her father's club forced her to be that way, she's been scraping by on the fringes of life. Waiting for her brother, Jeff, to meet her with their passports so they can flee to Canada. Except Jeff doesn't show, and instead gets himself involved with a showdown at the Sinner's Tribe clubhouse.

When Arianne arrives at the clubhouse to grab him and run, she's captured by Sinner's Tribe. They know she's a Black Jack, but they have no idea that she's Viper's daughter.

Jagger might be the president of Sinner's Tribe, but he's never met a woman like Arianne. When she gets past his iron will, Jagger realizes that for the first time in his life, there's a woman out there worth keeping.

Too bad Arianne doesn't want to be kept. And the last person she wants to get involved with is a biker.

When these two Alpha personalities clash, sparks with fly. Will the flames consume them, or will one of them be left standing in the ashes?

This was a thoroughly enjoyable MC club romance. Having spent the past week or so on a kindle binge, I've realized decent stories are hard to find—most of the romances I found were either real dumb premises or filled with so much misogyny that I abandoned them in the first few chapters. Sinner's Justice is, I'm so glad to report, one of the good ones. Yes, there's the Alpha male. Yes, there is violence. Yes, the woman is dealing with a bunch of dude who don't understand her equality. But Arianne is an actual badass—not a pretend "strong" heroine like some of the other books I've tried to read—and she's not here to take crap. And Jagger is able to change to accommodate that.

That's all she wrote, folks. I liked this! I'm even intrigued enough to keep reading, so we'll see where this world goes.

This book was way better than I had anticipated. Lately I've started to be really into MC books and I must say this one is the best I've read so far. Definitely an all-time top favorite of mine!

I received and read this book for the blog tour and started a book you receive for review, you never know what to expect. It can either be a hit or a miss. Luckily for me Rouch Justice did not disapppoint at all. Arianne was a great character and so was Jagger. They had amazing chemistry together and were simply made for each other, even though their dangerous lives seemed to be getting in the way of being together at times.

There were a couple of plot twists that I'd seen coming and sometimes the story felt a little too drawn out but in the end all of that seemed nothing compared to all the good in the book. The writing was excellent, which is a pretty big deal for me and every character (even the bad ones) were interesting for me to read about.

As for the secondary characters, I was a big fan of Dawn and Cade. I'm so glad that they will feature as leads in the next book. I can't wait. I also adored Zane. So hopefully he'll get his own book also.

Overall, Rough Justice had everything I wanted in a book. Fantastic writing, a great story with steamy romance, an asskicking heroine and a hot alpha male. What more could a girl ask for?

Arianne Hunter was raised as a biker and she has hated every moment of it. Her father's abuse and neglect have become the norm and she wants out. Arianne has been saving to get her and her brother away and the day it was to happen everything went to hell.

Captured by a rivalry club, Arianne knows she needs to get out of there quick. President of the Sinner's Tribe MC Jagger Knight oozes alpha, danger, and stirs up a lust in Arianne she hoped was firmly put away when it came to bikers.

Jagger believes Arianne had nothing to do with the attack on his club, but her knowledge of the biker culture has him intrigued. Jagger knows he will never take an old lady but if there was a woman who fit the bill it was Arianne. Arianne however has no plans of staying she wants out. Her old club wants her back, her brothers hiding, and one of Jaggers club members wants her dead. With so much swirling around them Jagger and Arianne act on their feelings for one another but the one thing they lack, trust.

4.5 "Blood Price" Stars! Lovers of MC Romances will not want to miss Rough Justice. On the lighter side for this sub-genre that sometimes can be extremely dark, Sarah Castille does an amazing job of introducing the MC world to her readers by painting a picture of the two potential extremes, while at the same towing the line as it relates to the descriptive nature of the potentially sensitive material, so as keep this read safely within the contemporary romance genre. Adding to the overall effect of this dramatic read which portrays the action-filled, suspense-filled, MC outlaw life, are some extremely passionate and erotic scenes that will leave you fanning yourself! What a great start to what promises to be another addicting MC romance series!

The heroine, Arianne was born into the darker, grittier side of the MC life. Although she is the daughter of the Black Jack's President, Viper, she has been spared very little when it comes to the MC way growing up. Her father routinely beat her when she met with his disapproval and is anything but a protective man. As a result, it has been her dream to escape the town she lives in, which is aptly named Conundrum. The only thing holding her back is her drug-addicted, brother, who she loves completely, notwithstanding his faults. She has made it her mission to make sure that he too escapes the brutal ways of her father, when she leaves the MC life.

Her life takes an unexpected turn, however, when she finds herself in the hands of a rival MC, the Sinner's Tribe MC. The questionable circumstances surrounding her reasons for being found at the Sinner's Tribe clubhouse, and her reluctance to identify the culprits who set fire to it and stole the Sinner's Tribe's shipment of guns, lead to her captivity.

It is during this captivity that Arianne first meets, Jagger Knight, the Sinner's Tribe's MC President. While he undoubtedly exemplifies many of the characteristics that she associates with her father, and the MC life in general, she quickly recognizes something different in him.

Jagger's attraction to Arianne meanwhile is equally strong. Defying all logic, as she is supposed to be the enemy, he can't help his attraction to her fierce loyalty, unique bravery and impressive skills that could make even the best, most talented, MC bikers envious.

It doesn't take long before Jagger makes an impulsive decision to bring Arianne under his protection. But this decision leads to all kinds of turmoil, on both MC Club fronts, never mind that Arianne remains equally determined to find a way for her and her brother to escape the gritty and violent ways of the MC life once and for all. Can there possibly be a HEA in store for this couple with so many factors conspiring against them?

I really enjoyed the statement that this story makes which is that not all men cut from the same cloth are actually alike. In that regard, Jagger is everything I've come to love in a great MC alpha hero, while Viper exemplifies everything that society associates with a bad outlaw. In the end though, the most valuable lesson in this story is that one should never give up hope and, ultimately, love can conquer all.

What a great start! I can't wait to read more of the Sinner's Tribe MC series!

I thought this had so much potential. The story is there. You have basically a H&h from 2 rival clubs. The H, being the president of one club, and the h, the wayward daughter of the president of the rival club. And given this background, I was really curious how it would be handled. That alone provided a good backdrop to the story. We have the h, who's doing everything possible to get away from the life only to end up in the rival club's domain and the H who's main duty is to his club and has his heart closed off for legit reasons only to be drawn to the enemy's daughter.

As I was reading it, I thought it was trying too hard to be funny, but some of the dialogues just felt unnatural. I thought it was trying to be real kicka$$ but somehow, I felt it missed the mark by a notch or 2. Is it the editing? Perhaps?

And the hot/cold thoughts and actions from the H&h, but mostly from the h, drove me crazy... Oh I have to leave, but now I feel I can stay because I feel safe around him! Oh, but I really do have to leave because I want my freedom! Oh but maybe I should stay... Gah!!!... And as bada$$ as the H is, some of his inner thoughts were a lil girly for me, but pls don't mind me, this is all personal taste.

Oh but I do have to give credit for the heat between these 2 *grins* And there is enough action expected of a biker romance.

... This is a first Sarah Castille read for me. I have her other books in my TBR. I may still give those a try, plus the rest in this series.

Spoilers of course..............

This should've been a 5* read, considering I was still reading it at 1:00am it's testimony to the fact that it was interesting and I didn't want to put it down BUT one of my biggest pet peeves in an mc book is when 1% bikers come off as.......... incompetent pu**y! Why would you have them as hard core then have them make decisions that make them look like clowns?? Still I'm going with a high 3.5* rounded to 4

Jagger is the president of the gun running mc Sinner's Tribe. On the night their clubhouse is burnt down they capture one of the ppl who was at the scene and it turns out to be Arianne, daughter of the rival mcs president.Jagger is fasinated with the confident, daring and sexy Arianne and the decision taken to let her go causes a rift with some members. Jagger is bad boy biker just as I like them. He's growly, possessive, protective Al0ha badass rolled into one sexy package. He does some pushing away with Arianne because his ex was killed because of him and he didn't want that for Arianne. My problems with Jagger......
he was controlling in the misguided attempt to keep her safe
why would he beat up,then burn the tattoo off Axle but not kill him after he had proven to be out for revenge. Letting him go doesn't scream 1% badass to me. Same goes for Bunny and even Sherry, who may have been naive and threatened but her actions also cost the club. His actions didn't compute in my badass biker understanding
The scene where he had Arianne on the wall and she was bruised is a big no no and his subsequent pseudo apology was not good enough
his dick twitching because of Sherry is another no no.Bad dick!!!!! all twitching should be for Arianne only

Arianne is the daughter of a rival mcs President, her father was a horrible, controlling, abusive pos with the firm belief that women were property and nothing more.At 16 he set her up for Leo to take her virginity by force if necessary. Her younger brother saved her and after she got out of the hospital she put a gun to her own head to force her father to let her go. She still has to live in Conundrum but she's able to live easier out on her own but underneath it all she longs for freedom especially as her father still forces her to do things for the club.

Arianne in all her sassy badass glory I liked, I did find her loyalty to her brother especially after he shot her to be very frustrating. I wanted her to put herself first after she saw that as drugged up as he was she wouldn't be able to save him. The conflict between her and Jagger stemmed from her keeping secrets and her determination to leave. I understood her reasoning and though it led to a lot of push/ pull between them I couldn't help but sympathize with her though I knew Jagger as an Alpha male would find it hard to let her go.

They both made decisions that I didn't like but at the end of this I had no regrets. I love mc books and a relatively safe mc book is a precious commodity,as such even with the stubbornness that irked me I'm counting this one as a win and moving on to the next.

I think I'm on an MC kick because this is #2 and I have plans to read another one next! This was really good! There were some parts that made me angry, but that's to be expected with the misogynistic ways of MC's. I reall liked that Arianne was as badass as she was. I quite enjoyed how she was hell bent on taking care of herself and she didn't shy away from standig her ground as well as standing up to some serious tough bikers and their president(s). (including her dad). Jagger was pretty hell on wheels and I really enjoyed how tough he was and also how he had a semi vulnerable side. He'd probably water board me if he were real and knew I said that though... ;) This was a great start to a series and I will definitely be reading the following books!

My first addition to my favorites shelf for this year!

It's been a long time since I've been reading a book and not wanted to put it down. But this one definitely made me want to skip work to read :) Arianne was such a bad ass heroine! I wish I was mire like her...minus the beatings she got from her father, or the betrayal she suffered at the hands of her brother, or the overwhelming need to escape her life ;) When Arianne was with Jagger...swoon. she was perfect for him and the tenderness he showed her had me melting.

I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Sarah Castille has a new fan!

I loved this one. However, around 30% or 40% I was bored. It seemed to have lost its mojo for a bit. I am glad that I did not give it up because it definitely picked up. Jagger is awesomeness on a stick!!! Arianne is loyal but a real dumbass. Jagger deserves so much more than her stupid ass. I cannot wait to read the story of Dawn and Cade's in Beyond the Cut.

Arianne Hunter, grew up in a motorcycle gang, and her father is the cruel president. When she finds a chance to escape with her brother, to find freedom and be free and be happy, she thinks nothing can go wrong, but her brother is doing drugs and will do anything for a fix, and betrays her, and gives into her father for a place in the club. So when trying to find him, she ends up injured and the captive of the rivals gang's clubhouse and in the arms of Jagger Knight. Jagger, is the President of the Sinner's club, and will do anything for his club and brothers. When their building is blown up by a rival gang, they find one injured man...or woman. Jagger loves women, and refuses to harm them, but his men wants revenge and he is the only man keeping them from killing Arianne. He knows that she is innocent, and just at the wrong place at the wrong time, he can't help but be intrigued by her tenacity and courage. Will Jagger and Arianne be able to find a happy ending, or will their enemies destroy them?

Sarah Castille brings to her readers a new and hot series...the Sinners MC, now I have read quite a few biker romances, and I LOVED it! Oh my goodness, does this author have me hooked. This is the first book which just came out a few days ago, and for what the story is, its at a great deal on both Amazon and B&N. I think this is going to have to be ranked at the top of the list of MC romances. There was something about this story that just sang to me. I don't even know what exactly it was but this pair was wonderful and they really were so good for each other. When it comes to MC romance, you never know what to expect or what you are going to get. It definitely can be harsh or tender or a mix of both? Well Ladies, this story has some harsh qualities that come with the MC life, but it has a more gentle and sensual tone to it.

It begins with a building exploding, a death of Jagger's brethren, and one enemy lying on the ground. Jagger is a true leader, and I love his self control over his men and maintaing order..when we all know how how that can be in these clubs. You can see how much his men respect him. His word is law, and his word is to save Arianne until they get all the facts. Arianne wakes up injured and at the mercy of Jagger Knight. This is the last place that Arianne wants to be, she would rather have her passport in hand and heading up north to o Canada to make a fresh start. But Arianne isn't any simpering miss. She grew up with a harsh and mean father, who raised her to be tough. She is smart and full of grit. She has experienced hell and is looking for some paradise. She just never expects to find it with Jagger. At first she is determined to get away and escape. But Jagger is sexy, powerful and deep...how can a woman resist? Well Arianne makes a good go at it, but she can't resist the connection they have. Jagger, is afraid of letting Arianne in too much, because he had a old lady, and lost her because he was President. And refuses to put another woman at risk. But Arianne is his match in every way, she is passionate and talented, but knows how to handle herself in a fight, and can shoot and will defend those she loves. One hell of a woman in his mind. I loved both of these characters...they are fighters and lovers and they definitely have some steamy action that goes on. Boy can they make some explosions of their own. But at the same time we see a development of a real relationship...of building trust and love.

Rough Justice is a great start of a series that I am sure is going to be whopping awesome. A story of hot scenes, in depth characters, and a love story that will keep you captivated till the end. A impossible to put down, and a story to charm and delight, with barrels of laughs and scorching hot moments....SEARING AND INTENSE!! A Must Read for MC romance Fans!!! GET IT NOW!!

It's been a long time since I've read some biker books, don't get me wrong, I can tell they happen to be a very popular. I have no shortage of bikers in my life and some are club members but not any drug/gun smuggling going down. I found this to be very entertaining.

This is about Jagger, the President of the Sinner's MC and the heroine Arianne, the daughter of Viper, the President of the rival gang the
Black Jacks. It all begins with her in the vicinity during an attempt to steal guns from the Sinner's that are meant for a gun trade. Arianne finds herself in the middle of things and appears to be a suspect, matters are definitely made worse when her identity is exposed. You know how romance's go, lucky for her, the hotness that is Jagger, is falling for someone he's not sure he can trust. The sizzle is definitely there for her as well but who wants to be somebody's property? **ME PLEASE** especially if it's Jagger's.

All hell breaks loose when Viper sends for his daughter who is wanting to find her brother Jeff and run... outside of the biker world away from all of the abuse. Jagger will not allow someone as evil as Viper get his hands on Arianne so he keeps her at the clubhouse and then learns just how bad a** she is.

"Christ." Gunner licked his lips. "She rides, she fixes bikes, she's hot, and she's packing. She's every biker's wet dream."

Yeah, I guess she kind of was (ha) but I started to get annoyed. I just wanted her to shut up for once and listen to Jagger. On more than one occasion trust was lost, there were shootings, and some beat downs that occurred so for being an MC book, I found it very enjoyable and will for sure move on to #2 because it was that good.

The was my second read of this book and it was better than the first read. I liked the way the heroine is strong but still has a girly side. The author has a knack for writing male dialogue for the bad ass bikers that is believable and I enjoyed the verbal banter between the guys. I liked the fact that Jagger wasn't afraid to grovel to get Arianne back.
The Sinners MC, headed by MC president Jagger, is a true 1% club into all types of illegal activities. They are a bunch of tough, mostly ex-military alpha males who don't back down from anything. Arianne is the daughter of a rival MC president who has been abused by her father her whole life. She has a younger brother who she wants to get away from her father and the MC. She rides her Ninja into the middle of a shootout between the clubs and is captured. One of Jagger's men has been killed and of course Arianne is held hostage by his MC in retaliation. Arianne is tough as nails. She can fix a motorcycle, she can ride faster/better than most men, she can fight and she's sexy. Jagger has feelings for her from the beginning but Lord does he fight them. There is a HEA and no cheating.
I went on to read books 2 and 3 in the series and liked them also. I'm now getting ready to read book 5. Overall a great series.

I am without words. Castille has officially left me speechless. I could barely put this one down while reading it and now I can’t stop thinking about it.

Castille’s raw and to the point writing brings this rough and tumble world to life in such a manner that you not only experience the life, but can also feel the tension and danger that these characters face every day. She doesn’t speak of MCs in abstract terms, but rather as if you’re part of this world.

Castille writes hot sex and even hotter characters. Jagger and Arianne definitely hold their own in this one. She is the type of character that you want to be, even if you don’t want to life the life. Jagger is the ultimate bad boy hero. They’re also genuinely nice individuals whose stories make them oh-so-very-real. She also brings the entire MC to life, not just her main characters. I felt like I’d met all the brothers.

This novel was exquisitely real. Castille took me on the ride of a lifetime and I can’t wait to get back on it!

Review courtesy of Dark Faerie Tales

Quick & Dirty: Dark, gritty and rough story with a very Alpha male character. I would recommend Rough Justice for readers who love a darker tone to their stories.

Opening Sentence: “Christ.”

The Review:

Rough Justice is a dark, gritty and appropriately titled rough look into the terribly tragic world of a motorcycle club. This book deals with some really heavy issues with the exception being the love and bonds of friendship. If you really like walking on the dark side of love then you will want to read this beginning of the Sinner’s Tribe Motorcycle Club series. This novel also features some somewhat rough and erotic sex scenes.

Arianne grew up the daughter of the leader of a motorcycle club. She hates everything about motorcycle clubs, what they stand for and their crazy ass and very sexist rules. (And trust me, there are some crazy rules, I’ve never read any of these types of books nor did I watch Sons of Anarchy so all of this was new for me. Plus, I’m sure rules change depending on the stories.) She wants out of this life and has plans to get away but it is all screwed up when her brother participates in a run on the Sinner’s Tribe clubhouse that ends with a person getting killed and Arianne almost taking the blame.

Jagger is the President of the Sinner’s Tribe MC. His clubhouse has been torched, the clubs’ illegal guns stolen, a MC member is dead and Arianne is passed out in his now empty gun storage shed. Understandably, they think that Arianne has something to do with it so she is being held hostage until they can gather the facts. Some members of the Sinner’s Tribe believe she should have already been executed but Jagger just can’t kill her until he knows for sure. So Jagger has to deal with a few bad apples while deciding how he’s going to go to war against Arianne’s dad Viper.

Motorcycle clubs have some really tough politics, Arianne knows full well what the rules are and Jagger immediately loves how he doesn’t have to fight her over how she acts in front of the crew. She immediately bows down to the rules of the motorcycle society and doesn’t undermine Jagger’s authority.

Arianne just wants to leave the town of Conundrum, Montana. Life has not been kind to her here and she wants her brother to go with her. Arianne has had a lot of bad things happen to her. She is a tortured type heroine with a spark to live. She wants happiness and is trying to fight for it. She is tired of living in this dark and terrible world. My only conflict with this is that she obviously is still stuck in this life with her “HEA”. Although Jagger tried to prove to her he isn’t as bad as her dad but it is still a bad situation to be in.

Jagger is the bad boy with a heart of gold. He has to be tough as the President of the Sinner’s Tribe. He doesn’t kill indiscriminately. He makes sure that those he kills deserve it. Jagger also has a tragic past and because of it has vowed not to love again unless that woman can take care of herself. He finds her in Arianne.

Overall, I really enjoyed the storytelling and the way that Sarah Castille writes. Even though the story was very dark in tone, I still invested in the characters and even the secondary characters that I can’t wait to read about in future stories.

Notable Scene:

Jagger pulled away before she could tell him again she was leaving, easing her to the floor before he went to dispose of the condom. By the time he returned, Arianne had put on her clothes and hidden her torn panties in the pocket of her coveralls. She ran her hands through her hair, smoothing down the loose strands. Why was he being so cold?

His eyes hardened when he saw her dressed. Without a word, he tugged on his jeans and reached for his shirt.

“Jagger? What’s wrong?”

He looked back over his shoulder and yanked on his shirt, heedless of the laceration on his chest. “You’re mine,” he said simply.

“Okay.”

“Not okay.” Jagger whirled to face her, then closed the distance between them in two long strides. “You don’t get it.”

The skin on the back of her neck prickled in warning, but she pushed on. “Then explain it to me.”

He twined her hair in his hand and tugged her head back, forcing her to meet his gaze. “You aren’t leaving Conundrum. I claimed you.”

A chill shot down Arianne’s spine. “I thought you claimed me to help me get away from Viper and for all the political reasons that go with it. Not for real. Not for—“

“Yes, for real.” He cut her off so abruptly, she startled.

“I claimed you as a biker and I claimed you as a man. You are mine, Arianne. No one will fuck you but me. No one will touch you but me. I’ll kill any man who hurts you and hurt anyone who makes you cry. If you need something, I’ll get it for you. If you’re sad, I’ll make you happy. If you want to go out, you ask. Every night you will sleep in my bed. And you will not leave Conundrum.”

Shocked, speechless, she could only stare. “Seriously?” Her hand flew to her chest. “Do you seriously think I belong to you because we had sex? Or that you can stop me from leaving if that’s what I want to do?”

FTC Advisory: St. Martin’s/Macmillan provided me with a copy of Rough Justice. No goody bags, sponsorships, “material connections,” or bribes were exchanged for my review.

This was awesome! Intense, action packed, and super sexy!

I love a well written alpha male and Jagger, oh man, with his sexy dominance and bad-assness, he was fantastic! Even more than a good alpha male, I love a strong woman character and Arianne fit that bill perfectly. So strong, doing what she has to do to survive in this violent world that she lives in. Her attitude and challenging ways had me liking her from the very beginning.

Jagger and Arianne together were great and I love that this story is told from both their POV’s. They had that back and forth banter that I love and serious chemistry. That helped to make it a really great read because I was so excited about what they would do next. There were some emotional moments for her which were great. While I loved Jagger, I was missing that vulnerability from him that she showed. I loved that they were fighting their feelings even though they were so drawn to one another, I just couldn't get enough. I thought there was a good build to their relationship and the hotness (because there was serious hotness!). They also had some intense moments between the two of them. At one point I wanted to throttle Jagger! It created some serious anxiety in me.

I liked the MC world that was created and the drama that was happening. There were a lot of different characters to keep straight but Cade and Zane really stood out to me as strong. I'd love to know more about them. The next book features Cade and Ariane’s friend Dawn (who was great!) and I am really excited about that. There was a lot of rival club business going on as well that made things intense, I liked that added conflict.

This just had a great blend of everything I love. Story, characters, emotion, passion, and drama! If you like MC books, you’ll love this!

Jagger is a protective man, "Jagger thudded a knife on the table between the outstretched fingers of the biker's free hand. "You don't effing touch her. You don't talk to her. You don't look at her. And you sure as eff don't disrespect her." He's also a possessive man, "I don't share, Arianne. Anyone touches you, tries to lay claim to you, he'll answer to me." Jagger wants to take care of his woman, "but I handle Bunny. He owes you, I collect. You owe him, I shoot him between the effing eyes..." Arianne that girl knows how to entice her man, "so romantic. I've always wanted to have sex on a porch with a man who said he'd shoot anyone who interrupt us." Jagger can a romantic man, "Jagger jerked her closer, thrusting his knee between her legs, forcing her dress to ride dangerously high. "Sweetheart, this is how I eff." I can't wait to see the other men get a story especially Cade.
