A grumpy/sunshine MM romance about healing, unexpected friendship, and the boy next door who won’t take no for an answer.
Julian Moore never planned on spending the winter hiding out in his family’s remote cabin. But after a messy breakup and an overwhelming semester, solitude seems like the only option. No people. No pressure. Just him, the quiet, and maybe a little time to breathe.
Except solitude isn’t so easy when Owen Miller keeps showing up next door.
Owen is too cheerful, too persistent, too unwilling to leave Julian alone. He doesn’t seem to care that Julian is socially awkward, emotionally exhausted, or not exactly in the market for new friends. He just keeps knocking—offering coffee, conversation, and warmth Julian isn’t sure he deserves.
Julian came here to be alone.
So why does it feel like Owen is exactly what he needs?

This was a quick and cute read. Both Julian and Owen have moved back into their parents houses for different reasons, making them neighbors. Owen is a bubbly thing that just wants to hangout with Julian, the grump. As much as Julian wants to isolate, he just can't say no to Owen and his puppy dog eyes. He ends up helping Owen with random tasks, instead of leaving for a break at his cabin.
When he finally makes it out to the cabin, Julian goes through a series of emotions since he is truly isolated after the mess with his friends and ex-boyfriend. He also, begrudgingly, misses Owen. These two are cute together, even when they were just friends, and it was nice reading about Julian finding his happiness again.
