Thank you the author and NetGalley for giving me an early ebook copy.

I really enjoyed this debut which contains forced proximity, workplace romance and dual POV.

As an outsider to the filming industry it was amazing to see how scenes get directed and you could really tell the author comes from the industry.

The chemistry between Cali and Jory was well written as well as her struggle within the industry due to being a female director in a male dominated industry. It highlighted how women still struggle in the 21st century and no matter the work you put in and how great your work is, if you have a dinosaur as a boss it doesn’t matter. The meme to movement was quite prominent in this book.

I loved how due to that fact Cali always supported her lead actress and made her seen.

Now to Cali and Jory’s relationship. They got off on the wrong foot but it quickly changed due to their love for what they were doing and their mutual respect for each other.
It was funny to read the banter and her leaving him sometimes flabbergasted.

I highly recommend this book to readers that want a funny romcom and like the works of Emily Henry or Christina Lauren.

The audiobook for Love, Camera, Action (not my favorite title) by Noel Stark (no other credits on Goodreads) is a fun listening experience, particularly thanks to pro narrator Maxine Mitchell. Going into the book with few expectations, it provided a fascinating behind the scenes look at an on-set romance between two crew members of a hit tv show: a veteran male director of photography and a less experienced female director. The author deftly handles issues of gender politics in Hollywood post-MeToo, including intimacy coordinators, power imbalances, and straight up misogyny among the old guard, along with some excellent spicy scenes. The male love interest requires serious growth to earn his title (he had to ask "am I the a**hole?" a few too many times for my taste) but thankfully he gets there in the end. This was a pleasant surprise that I would recommend to any fan of the genre.

I listened to this book and was really impressed with the narrator's performance. They did a fantastic job voice acting the different characters, bringing each scene to life. There were moments that sparked a physical reaction in me—especially when Callie stood up for herself and her team. I wanted to clap!

The story had some laugh-out-loud moments, and I thoroughly enjoyed the romance. It’s a workplace romance with a delicious slow burn, and the tension was such a fun part of the listening experience.

I also appreciated the thoughtful undertones of the Me Too movement and the emphasis on respecting women’s comfort and boundaries in the workplace. These themes were handled with care and added depth to the story without overshadowing the romance.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to listen to this book!

I enjoyed this debut opposites attract, forced proximity, dual POV, workplace romance between a Director of photography and his female director. This had emotional depth and fantastic chemistry between the leads, there was also disability rep (he has Lynch syndrome which is a precursor to colon cancer and she has an absentee/neglectful mother). There was also a lot of fun on set dynamics between the actors and the crew that I enjoyed getting insight into. Good on audio and recommended for fans of authors Christina Lauren. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

I listened to this book, and I was really impressed with the narration. They really brought the novel to life. They did a fantastic voice acting job and brought each scene to life. You were able to feel a spark that was describe through the book so that was good. This story really had some moments when I laughed out loud and I really enjoyed the romance this one brought. I'm a sucker or a good workplace romance so this one hit the spot.

****TRIGGER WARNING: Some bad language****

I really wanted to like this, but I didn't come out because I couldn't get into the book and I didn't connect with the characters. I didn't feel like it was a massive or visual at all, so it was hard to imagine what was happening.

Also, there was no need for the bad language now and then. I really dislike bad language in romance books.

The narrator didn't read this in a way that I felt was immersive.
