Partner two mated wolf shifters and one alpha lion shifter to find a rogue and watch the sparks and fur fly.
A rogue wolf shifter with his growing army of killers sets alpha wolf and security expert Dillon into motion. Together with his long-time mate, Rick, they track the string of deaths to a small rural town.
Copper, an alpha lion shifter, isn’t thrilled the Wolf Council sent the pair to stick their noses into his business.
Sparks fly as they grapple with their instant attraction and jockey for top dog position while Rick sits back and watches the fireworks with amusement, realizing they just might have found their third mate. The sexual tension is building while a deadly band of killers are culling the next victim in their game.
Can they put aside their differences and find a way to stop the killings before one of them ends up in the crosshairs?
Reader Advisory: This book contains multiple male ménage.
Publisher's Note: This book was previously released by another publisher. It has been revised and re-edited for release with Totally Bound Publishing.
In theory this should have been the perfect book for me. I LOVE m/m/m and I'm a huge shifter/paranormal fan..add in the growly mate component and I'm a happy Mandy.
But here I was sort of bored, the rogue killer pack part was so ridiculous and boring and over so quickly and easily I kept thinking I much have missed something. The relationship part was just all of them having lustful hardons but Dillon doesn't want another alpha in the mix ( and jeeze the word alpha is mentioned over 80 times..) and Copper the lion-alpha shifter doesn't want to be a one time thing and that's all it can be with a mated wolf pair- he thinks. And Rick, Dillon's wolf mate knows it will work. Add in lots of sex and butt slapping. I forced myself to finish, it wasn't bad, but it didn't have anything to hold my interest either.
“Catnip? You have a new addiction, I think.”-Dillon. //You better not be referring to me, canine.”-Copper
This book combines all of my favorite things: shifters (feline and canine) and an all male ménage. Dillon and Rick are mates who have been together for quite a bit of time and they meet Copper, a sexy lion shifter who they work closely with to catch a rogue shifter group. Immediately, the attraction is present between all three men but Copper is resistant; he doesn’t want to come between them. Copper soon realizes that’s exactly what both wolf shifters want him to do. There was hot sex in this book, but only between Dillon and Rick at first with the sexy lion shifter being brought in at the end. I love a ménage story and the writer did a wonderful job of building up the sexual tension in this story. I would really like to see a sequel to this. I would love to find out what becomes of the young shifter they saved from the rogues. Maybe someone in the lion pride will find their way to him, perhaps? This was a great read.
Dillon is an alpha werewolf who has been sent by the Council to track and stop a rogue wolf shifter who is gathering his own army. Rick is Dillon’s mate and lover. They have been together for decades and while they love each other, they are still looking for their third. So far, none of the men they have come across have complimented them well enough to be their third. Copper is an alpha lion shifter and a conservation agent. He is less than enthused when two wolf shifters show up and stick their noses into what he deems his pride’s business. When Dillon notices a lot of unrest and wolf shifters defecting as if they are answering the call of another alpha, Rick initially thinks it is just juveniles expressing themselves. That is until Dillon tells him it is older pack adults unhappy with the changes brought on by the modern world. When human bodies begin turning up the fun really starts. Once Dillon gets the Wolf Council’s sanction he and Rick are off to pride territory to see if they cannot find out more and stop the rogue before more humans are killed. Unfortunately, it is too late and Dillon and Rick find another human that’s been murdered by shifters. When they arrive in Winter Gulch, a town close to where they found the body, each goes their own separate way to see if they can find out more about where the rogue shifter and his followers are, and about the killings. While Rick is hanging out in a local diner he hears about a conservation agent named Copper and decides he is someone he needs to talk to. Even though Copper is very attracted to Rick, he knows he has to keep his mind on the killings and try to solve them. He tries to send Rick away but when Rick pulls out his ID and proves he is from the Wolf Council, Copper knows he has no choice but to work with the man. When Rick tells him that he is mated, Copper just figures it is his bad luck. However, when he later meets Dillon, the attraction is just as strong. Though Dillon is just as attracted to Copper as Rick is, he has reservations about allowing another Alpha into their relationship. Will these three be able to find a happy medium together? Will they be able to stop the rogue shifter and his followers from killing anymore humans? This is the first book that I have read by Cheyenne Meadows and I can tell you right now it will not be the last. Yowsa! Talk about hotter than a firecracker! I really really LOVED this book. It is not often that I find a book that captures my attention as much as this one did, but I simply could not put it down until I had read the very last page. It has everything you could ever want in an m/m romance, suspense, scorching hot sex, love, romance, a murder mystery, and really awful bad guys. I just cannot say enough good things about this story, I ADORED it! If you never pick up another book this month, make sure you pick up Triad by Cheyenne Meadows, it is to die for! Dillon and Rick are wolf shifters, bonded mates for a century. Yet, they feel something’s missing. Their third mate to complete the triad. They’ve tried to find one, but nothing’s ever come of it. Not until they meet Copper, a conservation agent—and a lion shifter. Dillon is an alpha, and so is Copper, and the two clash about everything. Rick stands between them as peacemaker and as amused audience to the sexy tension between the two alphas. Unfortunately, acting on their desires has to wait. A rogue wolf has gathered an army of lost youths around him, and they are purposely hunting and killing humans for fun and superiority. As agents of the wolf shifter council, Dillon and Rick must work together with Copper to find the bad guys and bring them to justice. When Dillon gets surprising access to the rogue pack, it’s time to worry.
The plot is a mix of investigation, action, dialogue, and sex. A pretty nice mix. Finding the bad guy is handled well, with a lucky—and dangerous—turn of events leading them in the right direction. The chase and the ensuing battle is exciting and fast-paced, and the twist at the end shocking. There’s quite a bit of talking between the three men, a nice variety. Dillon and Rick speak to each other with years of familiarity, Dillon and Copper argue and lock horns, and Copper and Rick form a friendship. And the sex? Hotter than hot. At first, it’s only Dillon and Rick. The three don’t hop into bed immediately, but the sexual tension is there from first whiff. Yes, there’s quite a bit of sex at the end, but I saw it as the culmination of their new relationship, so it worked for me.
I’ve liked Ms. Meadows’ writing since Broken Bridges, which could be considered the first in this series of shifters living among humans. Both stories deal with the same setting, though they are standalones. The world-building is not bogged down with heavy details, but seen as natural. I liked the subtlety of this approach. All in all, a good book. Recommended.
Sparks and fur fly when two mated wolf shifters and a alpha lion shifter join forces to stop a rogue shifter and his growing army of killers in this thrilling erotic paranormal romance. The author has created an intriguing sounding shifter world that could lead to some enjoyable entertainment if she decides to write more books in this world. While the story is a little short and I wasn’t ready for it to end, there is never a dull moment and I was completely caught up in the story from the very beginning.
Dillon and Rick are wolf shifters who have the task of tracking a rogue wolf and his rogue pack, they have to stop the rogue before he wipes out more humans. Dillon is an Alpha and Rick is an Beta they are mates and looking for their third, when they come across lion shifter Copper the attraction between the three flares to life but Copper fights the attraction to concentrate on finding the wolf that is hunting humans on Pride land. As the three work together Alpha personalities clash and Rick sits back to watch the sparks, but when one of them is injured they all realize that their flirtation is much more serious and if the Alpha's can come to an agreement they just might have a true Triad.
This is an interesting shifter story that has some great pack structure and a hunt for rogue shifters. Dillon is a typical Alpha, he has to be top dog and doesn't have much room for compromise. Rick is an interesting Beta, who is very easy going, his relaxed attitude is a great balm to Dillon's more brash attitude. Copper is a great character who has a laid back attitude but is far from a pushover, he gives Dillon a run for his money in the Alpha stakes and gets along with Ryan beautifully. The rogue wolf wants the shifters to rule the world and is collecting shifters who are dissatisfied with pack life or have been abandoned by their packs, but he hunts for fun, killing humans and has drawn the attention of the shifter Councils.
I really liked the small bits of information about the packs structures and how they work, the storyline was interesting with a rogue wolf bent on destruction and ruling the world and the relationship between the three men was scorching with want and need. I must admit to having wanted more in the way of storyline dealing with the rogue shifters, having more details about them and what drove them. Although I thought Dillon, Rick and Copper made a great Triad in the end, I got fed up with Dillon's Alpha-ness early on, especially since he was puffing up against an Alpha lion. Copper handled dealing with another Alpha wonderfully, ignoring the blatant challenging on his own Pride lands, I also liked the fact that he didn't expect to jump into bed with them even with all the pheromones flying about.
I recommend this to those who love shifters, danger, alpha clashes, hot sex, dealing with rogues and a great hot ending.
DNF at 30%. The writing quality is really dreadful, even for a shifters erotica PWP: A. The novella begins with a sex scene (Big no no, even in an erotica short story. A sex scene can't be effective when you barely know the characters and have only a vague idea of how they look like) B. The characters are shallow and one dimensional (yes, 30% are enough to determine that. We have one of them musing about his physical type and how important it is that his partner would be a well endowed bottom and partial to aggressive sex). C. The novella is full of telling instead of showing and insta-lust. Kind of a natural consequence of B. D. The sex is poorly written. Not hot or sensual at all. Overly elaborate with overly flowery descriptions. Just the wrong mix of cheesy, wordy and bland.
3.5 wasn't really feeling it but I read it with about 3 hours of sleep under my belt so I rounded up not down... Figured if I kept reading it even though I was about to fall asleep I must have liked it
