This final book in the Sugarland Creek series is finally here! I have enjoyed this series since the beginning, and I am truly impressed with how Brooke Montgomery worked in so many themes and difficult topics. At times, I don't know if the balance is completely struck, but I still enjoyed my time with the Hollis Family.

This book has:
Small Town
Cowboy
Ex’s Brother
Friends to Lovers
Accidental Vegas Wedding
Mental Health Rep
Reformed Playboy
Boy Obsessed
oh.. and a pierced pecker! ;)

I was nervous about how intense it would be being in Wilder's POV. Seeing his struggles from his twin's mind was heavy. However, I do think, in the beginning at least, I really appreciated seeing into his perspective and his depression. Yet, I did feel like we just... skipped over a lot of the work he needed to do. He still felt too happy-go-lucky once we got past the scenes on the phone with Delilah.

I did like how they first met, through the Hotline and the connection that they made. That was very powerful. And then we just.. skip it. I feel like Waylon struggled with his brother's mental health more than Wilder did.

Once we moved past that though, I did enjoy how he and Delilah finally make a go of it. That was great to see and their romance was beautiful. I don't feel like they needed a Vegas Wedding. That felt like the trope was just picked and then the story was shoved into the box to make it work. AND it happened SO far into the book. Like... what?

Anyway, I don't want to hound on it. This was an enjoyable experience. I just feel that, we took on very heavy topics and then didn't give them room to breathe.

I listened to the audio book and this was narrated by Teddy Hamilton & Avery Caris.

if i had a nickel for each time this week i read a cowboy romance where the group of siblings called themselves the "cowboy mafia" i'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice... right??

completing a series, even if i didn't love the finale, is always an accomplishment so i'm patting myself on the back right now. my feelings with small town romances are touch and go. sometimes i'm completely obsessed and other times i couldn't care less. this is a time where i fell in the middle. delilah and wilder had a really good setup, some hidden identity and the tension because she dated his brother. then the random marriage thing got thrown in, AFTER SIXTY PERCENT, and they were just together forever.

even though they knew each other they had only been "dating" for three days and then they were a full blown couple, pregnant and in love. this story would've been better if we leaned more into wilder healing and delilah finding her purpose after a big loss. some of these small town romances have such good setups and the romances could be deep and meaningful but we stick to the outlandish tropes instead. there is nothing wrong with that, i love me some small town cuteness, but i wish we could choose one or the other so i don't end up unsatisfied.

I’m so sad this series has finally come to an end but I think this was such a perfect way to wrap it up!! I absolutely loved Delilah & Wilder. Their story was emotional & angsty but with plenty of spice and banter we’re used to with this series. Wilder’s story was the one that intrigued me the most & Brooke definitely delivered with it!

Thank you Brooke for the ARC! Sugarland Creek has become such a comfort series for me. I love all of these characters so much — I can’t wait to see what comes next 🥰

Ah, I can't believe we're here. It was so good to get Wilder's story. Especially after everything we learn about him in book 4. And same with Delly.

These two were incredible together, and to see their paths cross so many times before they even made something of their relationship was amazing.

As always, Gramma Grace was the highlight of the show. She never fails to make me laugh.

I do think the suspense side of this was a little fast at the end. But it was so cool to see more of the characters that I think we're going to follow in the next series, which has me super excited. I can't wait for those.

As always, Brooke does incredible work with her words, and I adored this series as a whole.

Thank you to LoveNotes PR for sending me an ARC.

The last book in a beloved series is always bittersweet to me and I have adored every book in this one, so it was def a bit emotional for me 🥺 It was the perfect ending though, I had a feeling Wilder was special and I was right, he absolutely broke my heart but seeing Delly put him back together again was everything. This was angsty, emotional and had some amazing mutual pining, an absolutely perfect ending to such a great series. If you like small town, cowboy, Vegas wedding, ex boyfriends brother, and amazing mental health rep this was so so good! The whole series is a must read. (Check triggers at the beginning of the book, there are some sensitive and emotional topics explored.)

This series just gets better and better! I’m sad to say goodbye to these characters as the series ends, but I couldn’t wait for Wilder and Delilah’s story - Brooke saved the best for last. And her prologues get me every time! She knows how to grab your attention from the beginning, and keeps it throughout. There is so much depth to the characters, who’ve both been through a lot. Wilder’s past is heartbreaking, I just want to squeeze him. He masks his pain with his fun, carefree spirit, but Delilah knows him through and through. From the way they met, their friendship and secret mutual pining, to their drunken night in Vegas and beyond, it was all so endearing and fabulous. I love their chemistry, banter, and support of one another. I’m always a sucker for a cowboy romance, big family shenanigans, and a solid HEA!

🎧The audiobook is fantastic. Teddy Hamilton always plays the part of the golden retriever hero perfectly, and this one is no exception. I loved his voice for Wilder. Avery Caris was also the perfect fit for the delightful Delilah, with her honeyed cadence.

I refuse to read another cowboy romantic suspense book ever again…
(Because why does it always feel so unnecessary?)

Sin With Me had me so excited with the accidental Vegas marriage trope (+ brother’s ex-girlfriend) but… it wasn’t even the main plot line?
They don’t even get to Vegas until like 60% in.

I did love Wilder’s character arc, though. Watching him grow since Waylon’s book—and actually heal—hit way closer to home than I expected, and that was beautiful to read.

This series has some of the most intriguing tropes and the books are spicyyy, so it’s perfect for when you're in that mood.

WHAT AN END TO THE SERIES! I'm sad it's over. Wilder & Delilah were everything I wanted them to be. As with all Brooke's books, Sin With Me depicted many sensitive topics which Brooke handled with utmost care. I was SOBBING my eyes out with Sam and his situation. I absolutely adored how Wilder took care of his loved ones and how hard he loved and the same goes for Delilah. I loved the mutual pining and the fierce chemistry. All the subplots and characters. I loved all of it! The narrators were fantastic and really helped in visual the experience. It felt like a movie in my mind.
I'm ready not ready for Warren & Maisie. Absolutely loved this book & series as a whole.

I enjoyed this audiobook so much. How the main characters met is touching, and adds a lot of depth to the story. The narration was superb!! There was an element of suspense in this cowboy romance and I was eating it up!! I devoured this 9hr audio in one sitting. This is my first book by this author and it will not be the last! I knew Wilder’s story would be an emotional one, but I wasn’t expecting the epilogue to have me crying like a baby. 😭

Wilder and Delilah’s story starts with Wilder having a bad night. After making his first cut, he calls a crisis helpline, and Delhi is on the other end of the line. She gives Wilder a safe space to talk about everything from his family to his battle with his mental health while using a name that wasn’t his. Their story progresses over several years, with them weaving in and out of one another’s lives to the present, where they are now friends.

Why am I so so sad this series is over?!
Honestly, while I think I gave every book 5⭐️ in the Sugarland Creek series.. this one is a favorite of mine.

Wilder decided to call a crisis hotline when he felt the need to self harm again. A beautiful and soothing female voice answered and over time, they struck a beautiful, anonymous, professional relationship via fake names.
She is Delilah .. the girlfriend of Wilder’s twin brother.
While the relationship ended, everyone remained friends. And Delilah became sort of Wilder’s chaperone when he goes out and drinks.

“If there was a cure for depression that didn't include talking about my feelings or taking medication, this would be it. This kind of heart racing, sweat-inducing, serotonin-boost is all I'd need for the rest of my life as long as it came in the form of being with Delilah.”

Delilah naturally made Wilder want to be a better version of himself. Therapy, community service, medication.
He slowly transformed into a man that Delilah deserves.
So when a trip to Vegas ends in marriage, they give it a trial run.

Ex-boyfriends twin
All the banter and spice
Found family
Vegas wedding
It’s always been you
Suspense subplot
Pierced cowboy 🍆 👅

I absolutely freaking loved this story. Wilder and Delilah mutually pined for eachother for nine years and had the most beautiful HEA. This series is favorite of mine. Small town, cowboys, found family.

Thank you to Brooke for a copy of the book in advance in exchange for an honest review.

One of my most anticipated releases of this year - and the conclusion of my favorite ever cowboy romance series - definitely didn’t disappoint! I feel like I’ve always had a soft spot for Wilder, one that grew softer during the last book when finding out more about his mental health struggles, so I adored getting to read him finding his happiness with Delilah. And Delilah, that baby needed some happiness in her life too. Going on her grief journey with her and watching her learn to lean on Wilder and put down the caregiver role and let someone take care of her for once was so rewarding. And of course, watching Wilder ‘grow up’ was fun too.

I've enjoyed the Sugarland Creek series and can't believe this is the end. Brooke Montgomery has made me fall in love with the Hollis family. Their stories have been fun, emotional, and explore difficult topics. After reading Waylon's book, I knew Wilder's story would wreck me. I was locked in from the start, and loved witnessing Delilah and Wilder's journey. This story is truly something special, and I think Delilah and Wilder are my favorite couple. Wilder's struggles with depression broke my heart, and I was so happy he was finally getting a happy ending. Delilah was exactly what Wilder needed, and they were so good together. Amid grief, sadness, and despair, Delilah brought sunshine to Wilder's life. They had amazing chemistry, had so much fun together, and ultimately helped each other heal. Their relationship was based on trust and friendship built over many years, and I loved how solid their bond was. Their ability to be honest and open with each other made their connection that much deeper. It warmed my heart to witness them overcome their challenges together. This small-town, cowboy romance is angsty, steamy, and has a little suspense. This is the perfect way to close out an amazing series.

Narration:
Avery Caris and Teddy Hamilton perform this audiobook in dual-style narration. They are the perfect voices for Delilah and Wilder, and delivered emotional performances that made me not want this story to end. Avery and Teddy are two of my favorite voice actors, and both fully embodied all things Delilah and Wilder. I could feel the angst, tension, trust, vulnerability, and love shared between the characters. This was an amazing listening experience, and I highly recommend this audiobook.

Thanks to Brooke Montgomery and Lyric Audiobooks for the review opportunity. Opinions expressed are my own.

Heavy Spoilers!!!!!
⬇️

I was really looking forward to the finale of the series after reading about Delly and Wilder in the other books but it was a chaotic mess! There was so much going on, it felt like the author had a million ideas and rushed to get them all out on this one couple. They date and get drunk married immediately, agree to trial the marriage for 30 days, commit to an actual marriage after only a week, wilder gets harassed by a police officer and journalist at the start of the book and it isn’t brought back up until the end when Delly suddenly gets kidnapped and has to deliver someone’s baby with no training, Delly has a panic attack and ends up in hospital where they find out she’s pregnant with twins!!! Although the prologue details Wilder’s past mental health struggles and it’s mentioned frequently throughout the book, the author didn’t actually put any present day examples in so it felt like Wilder uses Delly as an all healing mental health crutch which doesn’t sit right with me.

Usually this author’s spicy scenes are sweet & dirty in the best possible way but the sex between Wilder and Delly honestly just felt awkward, they frequently had full blown conversations during which threw me for a loop. Wilder was super sweet which was lovely but the previous books made him out to be a dirty mouthed cowboy casanova so I was a little disappointed we didn’t get to see that.

Overall it wasn’t the worst romance I’ve ever read by far, but it left a lot to be desired and doesn’t hold a flame to any of the others in the series.

I still love the author and will 100% be reading her future books!

ALC AUDIOBOOK REVIEW:

Narrated By: Teddy Hamilton and Avery Caris

Sin With Me was bittersweet PERFECTION. Bittersweet because it’s the end of a series I have loved whole heartedly and perfection, ending it with our wild Hollis twin, Wilder. I knew after listening to Waylon Hollis’s (Wilder’s twin brother) story in Only With Me, that Wilder would have a darker past than the rest of the series but watching this man grow from his experiences and come out on the other side with the best supporting woman, Delilah Fanning, by his side had me absolutely swooning, possibly even crying at the end. Delilah (Delly) just happens to be the ex girlfriend of Wilder’s twin brother Waylon but when Waylon ends up breaking up with Delly and dating HER sister (yeah it a whole thing) Delly and Wilder build a bond only the two of them can understand. Now when a trip to Vegas for the NFR takes that connection to a whole new level, their life goes from friends to husband and wife real quick and I was here for every minute of it.
Teddy Hamilton and Avery Caris were absolutely brilliant narrating Sin With Me in dual. Wilder wore the weight of the world on his shoulders and while being the fun, party, cowboy, he struggled with his mental health and Teddy did a beautiful job bringing these sensitive topics to life, he expressed Wilders vulnerability while also keeping him true to himself with his flirty tones. Teddy also showed up big time to express the genuine longing Wilder felt towards Delilah, proving he was the real deal when it came to her. Let’s just say Teddy narrating the seductive feral man Wilder was for Delilah was also PERFECTION. Delilah was such a fun character and Avery did a beautiful job bringing her to life, she really showcased Delly’s tough exterior, the one where she could hang side by side with Wilder and hold her own, then in the next breath, drop all the fun and sarcasm to express Delly’s compassionate side.Delly is thoughtful, genuine, tough and a little wild and I loved listening to Avery bring those attributes to the forefront throughout this audio.

I will miss my Sugarland family so much and have loved listening to each book in this series.

Thank you Brooke for the opportunity to listen and review.

And here is the conclusion to what has been one of my favourite small town series!

Wilder has always intrigued me and I know why Brooke left his story till last; it was profound, heartbreaking but also immensely healing. Both characters are on their own mental health journeys. Brooke did a wonderful job of telling their stories; depression, trauma and grief are big things and she wrote these topics with care, respect and grace.

I loved reading Wilder find his happy ending with Delilah after learning more and more about his mental health struggles. I shed many a tear during this book. Wilder and Delilah had been through so much and they both deserved so much happiness and they definitely found that within each other, even before their drunken wedding. Wilder was such a sweetheart, forever listening and noticing the little things about Delly, throughout their years of friendship. I loved their banter and chemistry; the years of friendship added to the angst and when they finally crossed that line - WOW! Wilder certainly made use of his piercings👅🍆. I just loved them for each other!

I do feel like the 'suspense' plot was a bit random and probably not entirely needed or? Maybe? And I do wish that there had been more of a 'series conclusion' in the last epilogue.
Overall, I did enjoy this book and I'm so sad the series is over. I will forever recommend this series!

⚠️⚠️Please check your trigger warnings before heading into this book; there are some HEAVY topics covered. ⚠️⚠️

I was soo excited for Wilders story especially after reading Waylon’s book and man it was soo good!! The perfect ending to the series! My heart is happy! Wilder & Delilah were perfect for each other. Their story was emotional & angsty. It was everything I needed. The whole journey was bitter sweet.

Wilder has always struggled with depression and it breaks my heart. He deserves to be happy! Once he hears Delilah’s voice it helps him get out of his head and she will do anything to help him. I love them so much! Brooke did an amazing job writing about the struggles with depression. Please check trigger warnings before reading this one!

Despite the sometimes heavy topics this series dealt with, it really was entirely wholesome and cosy. Sin with Me was no exception to that.

I loved that Brooke saved Wilder for the last sibling in this series. You could tell from previous books that he was a tortured soul but I always got the impression there was more tk his story. Thankfully we get into the nitty gritty of what made him like this.

I think Brooke tackled mental health and depression in a really beautiful way. She didn’t sweep it under the rug or shy away from talking about it and that made a huge difference in how I saw Wilder. Add in her views on grief of a parent that Delilah struggled through and it was a rough but ultimately precious story.

Wilder and Delilah were adorable together and I loved how their families blended so seamlessly together too.

I honestly can’t wait to read the next instalment from Brooke Montgomery! No third act break ups with a hint of suspense, come at me!!

I’ve been waiting for Wilder’s story, and oh my god my heart. I. love. him. We saw so much of his struggle in Waylon’s book, so getting to see him come out on the other side? To see him fighting through the bad days and geting everything he wants? For him to be seen and loved? My heart was so happy. And Delilah? Oh I love her. She’s always been there for everyone else, so I loved seeing her have someone stand next to her and show up for her. I loved getting to learn about the past Wilder and Delilah share, and seeing them finally be happy together. Delilah might’ve needed a little convincing, but Wilder was all in from the start, and I loved seeing how far gone he was for his girl and how determined he was to show her how good they could be. I’m so sad to be done with Sugarland Creek because I’ve loved the whole series, and I absolutely loved this one!

I’m actually pretty sad about this rating. Based on the set up for this book in the previous book, I was thinking this one would be more emotional and dive deeper into Wilder’s mental health issues. All that we got was the prologue, and then the rest of the book it was barely mentioned again, and it was kind of like Wilder used Delilah as a crutch, and she just magically solved all of his mental health issues. I didn’t really see him overcome anything and I didn’t get a lot of information on why he was struggling as hard as he was. I really wanted more backstory, and to see him overcome his mental health issues in a really positive way. Idk, I was just expecting more.

I was also expecting more of an enemies to lovers type vibes, and that didn’t happen at all. Delilah was quick to jump his bones in the beginning and that threw me off and then they randomly get super drunk in Vegas and wind up married?

I wanted this one to ruin me and make me ball my eyes out, but it just kind of fell flat. 🥲

I do want to point out that I loved the narrators, and this is in no way on them. Just the story and content in itself. I appreciate the opportunity to review the alc, and feel bad that this one didn’t work for me.

I swear each new Sugarland Creek book that is released is my new favorite of the series, and Wilder and Delly's story is no exception!

Just to start, check the triggers for this one! There are some mental health topics that are covered that may be sensitive to some readers. I felt they were beautifully written and done with respect and care.

I loved that we finally got to see inside Wilder's mind and experience what he is feeling! Having him as the 5th book in the series is an amazing choice because we see him, but never get to fully experience who he is.

Brooke brought the heat in this book as well! The chemistry between Delly and Wilder is off the charts and I loved that we have the friends to lovers trope, mixed with a whole lot of he falls first. It definitely kept me guessing on what was going to happen and when!

Overall, I loved the complexity of the characters and how the storylines played together. It is always nice to see where the other couples in the series are, especially since this series is so family oriented!

I can’t believe this series has come to an end. It has cemented as a Roman Empire series for me from start to finish.

Wilder & Delilah had so much love, so much chemistry, so much angst and emotion and I couldn’t adore them more. Their banter may have been my favorite. I was giggling to myself and kicking my feet even in light of heavy topics present throughout. Brooke did a wonderful job of balancing these emotions and keeping us gripped in the story

The pining from Wilder was definition of boy obsessed and I ate it up. He knew Delilah was his end game for years even when he didn’t think possible. Their friendship was so important and precious too. I just loved the dynamic. Golf course the spice was hot from these two but it was so much more

This is a series that should be on everyone’s TBR.

What to expect:
Ex’s Brother
Cowboy
Friends to lovers
Accidental Vegas Wedding
Small Town
Boy Obsessed
Reformed Playboy
Mental Health Rep

Thank you Brooke & team and I can’t wait for that’s to come

Can’t believe this series is over😭 I enjoyed every freaking second of it. Wilder and Delly being the final couple was so dang full circle and just absolute perfection. And I say this with my W H O L E chest…Wilder is my new favorite🤪
Now I’ll be (not so) patiently awaiting more Brooke Montgomery goodness🤠
