took me a while to read this one. I feel like we're on the back side of this series. the totals are getting really large and it's no longer individual actions so much as large group action. the fact that he won't give the character guy any command because his girlfriend bosses him around just did not need to be in the story at all. as far as I'm concerned that's not a reason to give somebody command or not to give him command. I don't think personal relationships tell whether or not a person would make a good commander of troops. that's my opinion though I could be 100% wrong on that. also this one ends in a cliffhanger which I absolutely hate. I almost took away a star just for that, but I wasn't sure if that would actually be fair to do let me know in the comments if you take away stars for cliffhangers. I did send in a list to the publisher of corrections that needed to be made there were probably a good double handful. hopefully people that read this after the corrections are made we'll have a much smoother read. also this review is based off of an arc so these mistakes that I found in the arc could already have been fixed, but we'll see.
7/10 because I really do hate cliffhangers so I'm going to take half a star.
In this book there was a lot of action on many fronts, a new hope for Earth and many developments in the book but almost no humour or building, unfortunately. While the action was diverse it often felt a bit bland to me.
Criticism and comments
The author's obsession with female anatomy is a bit annoying and the s called "hot chick" monster reminded me of Dali's woman troubles.
The MC'S tratment of dissidents seemed very excessive.
The author seems to have forgotten the forest sub plot later on..
The previous POV's from China and California some books ago still are meaningless.
Globalization is the latest book in this series, and in this one, we see there actually is hope for the earth. We also see some new toys built by the main character, and of course, some new areas he's trying to clear, along with even more survivors. Pretty good addition to the storyline here. Looking forward to the next release.
