When I wrote my first novel, Paranormal Nonsense, I was a Captain in the British Army. I would love to pretend that I had one of those careers that has to be redacted and in general denied by the government and that I have had to change my name and continually move about because I am still on the watch list in several countries. In truth though, I started out as a mechanic. Not like Jason Statham, sneaking about as a contract killer, more like one of those greasy gits that charge you a fortune and keep your car for a week when all you went in for was a squeaky door hinge.
At school, I was mostly disinterested in every subject except creative writing, for which, at age ten, I won my first award. However, calling it my first award suggests that there have been more, which there have not. Accolades may come but, in the meantime, I am having a ball writing mystery stories and crime thrillers and will claim to have more than a hundred books forming an unruly queue in my head as they clamor to get out.
Now retired from the military, I live in the south-east corner of England with a pair of lazy sausage dogs. Surrounded by rolling hills, brooding castles, and vineyards, I doubt I will ever leave, the beer is just too good.

What an awesome idea for a father son writing team. This is number three and probably the last of the series, but it's been a great read. Time travel is a thing, and things should go smoothly, although the haves and the have-nots have issues. Hudson and Rapscallion his son, Sarah and her daughter Gabrielle are trapped in the past with a few other characters and a dog collected along the way when things got heated and the villains destroyed the portal back to home. There is hope that there is another portal which is still working where the interlopers established a base to find gold and jewels missing from earlier in the series.
All kind of great escapades, interaction with dinosaurs, a dinosaur Rapscallion reunion, and some T-Rexs with vengeance on their minds add to the excitement.
It's written with middle schoolers in mind, as Steve Higgs and his son Hunter created and co-wrote the series. That doesn't mean that those of us who have loved dinosaurs for as long as they can remember won't enjoy the book. I've been enthralled by dinosaurs since I five years or so old. That's seventy years worth of learning about the past and visiting dinosaur memorials and seeing fossils and reading books about how the fossils were discovered

Nicely done!
Plenty of excitement and action. Lots of time travel, totally unbelievable series of challenges, mishaps, and bad decisions make this a fun read.
There is a moral to the story: When very rich and powerful people continue to exploit technology and natural resources to increase wealth at a steep cost to the planet with no regard for humans, and all living creatures sharing this blue marble; how much is enough?

Be prepared! In Timequake you'll learn a lot more about dinosaurs and read a compelling story about family ties, survival, friendship, which is full of action and incredible acts of kindness from humans and non humans alike. Another great story delivered by the Higgs duo!

Explosive, fast paced
Steve how ever did you get your brain to take something virtually impossible and make it not only believable but fast paced, fun, likeable and extremely readable.
I should know to not start reading one of your books at night. It's now 5.20 am and I've finished it.
Highly recommend.

What a Finale!
Thank you, Steve, for another tip-roaring adventure tale that appropriately wraps up this time travel trilogy. You and Hunter did a fantastic job. I loved every minute and this third book was amazing. The best part is I can read it to my grandkids! Time travel, nail/biting adventure, dinosaurs, asteroids and a HUGE conclusion make this a must-read!!

Time calls to all of us
Such a fun read, walking and playing imagination games with my grandson in the forest in Canada, dinosaur ‘ s were are favourite running stories. Many hours hiding and finding dinosaurs but never with soldiers tracking us just coyotes and a couple of black bears.
I hope his imagination never gets tired or lost.

The time travel trilogy comes to an end. I enjoyed the books although it took three years to complete (each sequel was a year apart) but now there all written so you can read them one after the other. I give the trilogy Five Stars.
I think book 3 was the best.

A great conclusion to this trilogy, more fast paced adventure with lots of action plus we learn a lot about dinosaurs. A fantastic read that I couldn't put down until I'd finished it - the norm with one of Steve's books though if I'm honest. Fantastic!

An exciting end to the trilogy
Like the first two books, this is fast paced with lots of action (and dinosaurs). It is an exciting end to the trilogy. I’ve read this trilogy in ebook format (and also bought the paperbacks for my nephew).
