Flames burn, no matter how they deny it.
Nadia wants to be a normal everyday girl. She wants to party, she wants to be free, and she wants to fall in love. But there's one thing standing in her way; her dad is the president of the Midnight Stalkers Motorcycle Club. Nadia's ruthless biker dad won't let anyone touch his daughter.

Hunter Flint is the rugged and rough sergeant at arms of a rival MC, the Sons of Rebellion. Hunter wears his battle scars on his skin, and he's closed himself off to love. He's come to Queenstown on a deadly mission, one that could tear the Midnight Stalkers apart.

When the two meet, it ignites passion between them.  Can these star-crossed lovers ever be together ... Or will their love story crash and burn?

Slayer is the first installment of the Sons of Rebellion serial, following the story of Nadia and Hunter. The series contains strong sexual themes, and is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

This was a very short read that took about two hours to get through. It is about a daugther whose dad is the President of the Midnight Stalker's MC, and Hunter..aka..Slayer, who is the Sergeant at Arms for a rival motorcycle club. Hunter shows up in town on a mission to kill the President of the Midnight Stalker's club and his family, and he is raring to get it down. He and a few of his fellow members end up at run down bar where he finds a young woman who he immediately wants.

Nadia is feeling very disatisfied with her life, and to boot her mother tells her that she must marry one of her fathers fellow member in the club. This doesn't make her happy at all so she takes of in the middle of the night to get drunk at a bar. This is where she runs into a man named Hunter; and sparks fly.

This is the first installment in a nutshell, it moves very fast and what didn't sit well with me was the insta love/attraction with Nadia and Hunter. It was very unbelievable, and there just wasn't enough time in the book to have the couple develop feelings for one another in a proper fashion. Basically, they begin to have sex, and Hunter almost reveals that he loves her?? Uh...that totally left me speechless, and not in the best of ways. There needs to be more foundation laid in my opinion; to make any kind of relationship and feelings between the two main characters believable.

I don't know that I will continue on with this series, as this just didn't float my boat very much. I guess I can't love them all..I am always on the look out for the next best MC series, and this just wasn't it..

01/04/2015 -- Ugh! So very glad this was short. An Aussie MC romance. Conceptually interesting. Execution was lacking. Not much story and very little character development.

Oh .. and who the hell says punch?

My opinion only .. Seriously not good.

Hope you have better luck -- Happy Reading!

Note: A freebie short Ian picked for an ARC challenge. One down for January 2015.

Do you like books with intelligent, articulate writing? With interesting plot twists and established character development? That grab your attention from the first chapter? That pull you in so intensely that you have to read the entire thing that very day? THEN THIS IS NOT THE BOOK FOR YOU!!!

If you like reading porn in the sense that you know nothing of the characters, they enter a scene, meet each other for 3.2 seconds, say literally 10 words to each other, fuck like bunnies, then somehow you're supposed to believe their intense emotional connection that they have to be together against all odds...THEN THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU!!!

...enjoy.

I had the pleasure of Beta reading this book, and what can I say. I've read all of Elsa's works and these book surpasses them all.

Her writing just gets better and better.

Hunter oh sexy biker Hunter I just live him, this is a story just like Romeo and Juliet but from the biker world.
Nadia is a strong female and I love her putting Hunter in his place.

This book has it all, romance, sex, and violence, what else do you need for a biker book.

It's one outhouse oops that you have to read all in one go and that's what I did. I've already read it twice and it doesnt get boring.

Elsa's writing flows and the story is so well put together

This is terrible. It seems like I wrote the dialogue and I can’t even put words together to write a decent review never mind a book. Sorry but definitely not a book I want to read or finish.

I really struggled with this book and giving it three stars. Because what I really wanted to do was a one star rating. But I frown upon other readers that drop stars just because it has a cliffhanger and they weren't made aware before hand. Mind you yes this happen to me with this book and I was mad, but I respect the authors time and dedication in their writing so my lack of stars have nothing to do with the HUGE cliffhanger and the fact this is a short read and last but not least US readers weren't made aware BEFORE hand. But let me explain the reasoning behind it. The book is good with so much potential behind it but it feel short. The characters feel short, I also felt like I had to recheck what I was reading because it seemed I was reading a YA instead of a MC genre. I did feel in love with Slayer (only reason I finished the book) he is bad boy personified with the heart of gold. Nadia is a whole other story, only positive I found was she has a little spunk about her that hopefully will grow more during the other books. For being the "Princess" of the MC She was immature (author never revealed her age)and naive. What grown, mature and true biker Princess has to sneak out of there bedroom window? Have to report in like she was 15 and went over her curfew....Or get slapped around by a family member etc etc too many issues I had with her. I hope in the next book she grows some cojones or something because NOPE didn't feel her at all!

I was privileged to beta read Slayer (Sons of Rebellion MC #1) by the amazing author Elsa Day, whose writing style always has me one clicking her books ever since my first read. Slayer was a thrilling and raw read that also showcased comical moments between the characters, making me laugh out loud as I not only fell for her lead characters but also the secondary. Hunter aka Slayer rides into Queenstown with his two mc brothers Jase and Brent, accompanied with battle scars on his body and a mission in hand to eliminate those on his hit list he runs into distraction. Nadia’s character was fun as she battled against her princess title of the Midnight Stalkers mc, wanting to live a normal life and to love freely but had her choices taken away from her by her family. Hearing things from her mother had her fleeing for freedom and straight into Hunter. I loved the roughness and sexual chemistry that brewed between Hunter and Nadia it was hot and showed his possessiveness. Elsa Day’s books are always fun to read and they fly by so quick that you get wrapped up in her world and beg to already own the next instalment, luckily she doesn’t leave us fans waiting too long after recovering from the cliff hanger. I can’t wait to uncover the mystery behind Hunter and to see how far he will go to keep Nadia in his life, and if she can live with what he is about to unleash bring it!

**Cliff hanger**

I was gifted a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Nadia (aka Diana) just wants to live a regular life. Being the daughter of the President of the Midnight Stalkers MC is not fun. Everyone thinks of her as the Princess but she just wants to be able to be a regular girl. When she is pushed up against the wall because of a decision made by her father she decides that she needs a night out on her own without having Prospects or anyone else from the MC following her every move.

What she finds is Hunter Flint. Known as Slayer to his MC brothers Hunter is on a mission. From the moment he sees Nadia he wants her. Nothing could shock him more then discovering that she was part of his mission. As much as he knows that he needs to take a step back from her, he can't. She belongs to him.

I have to admit that Elsa Day has gotten me curious about these characters and this story line. I'm not sure how many books are going to be in this series but I am definitely looking forward to the next one. The relationship between Nadia and Hunter is not going to be easy. At this point I would say more along the lines of impossible. I really want to see where the author takes this.

Good first in series 3.5 stars.

I came across this book while looking for another and I liked the blurb the reviews however were mixed, very mixed the first reviews I came across were 5* 2* 1* 3* 5* 1* only one missing was a 4* one.
So now I'm intrigued and I have to read it.
It's only 70 pages long, the first in a series of 3 books all about Hunter and Nadia so chances are it will have a cliffhanger but all 3 books are available. I like to know in advance since I hate cliffhangers but I figure it's not really a cliffhanger if I can move straight onto the next book.
Anyway my review...
Nadia was born into the MC her father is president of the Midnight Stalkers Motorcycle Club and at times she feels that her life isn't her own she's protected and watched wherever she goes.
Hunter is from a rival club the Sons of Rebellion MC and he's in the Midnight Stalkers territory on a deadly mission but then he meets Nadia....
I liked it, I would have liked more of it, it's an insta-love which is not normally my thing but in a book of this length there's not a lot of space to build up the relationship so insta-love it is, the rest should come over the remaining two books.
I'm moving straight onto 'Hunter' now.

WOW!!! I have just recently started reading genre's that involve motorcycle clubs. Talk about HOT. Elsa Day has really gotten this one off the charts. Slayer isn't just about erotic romance, revenge and being a bad-ass. It shows heart, compassion, and feelings that you don't think men and women have. I finished reading in within just a few hours. I truly hope that the next step in this series comes out soon. I'll be impatiently waiting :)

Short intro to the series...

Hunter is the assassin/sergeant at arms for his MC. While staking out the town for his next hit, he runs into Nadia and feels instant attraction. After a quick meet and fuck, she's convinced she loves him...WTF!!!

The only problem is that she's the daughter of the enemy biker president and Hunter is supposed to kill them.

Don't think I'll continue on with this madness.

BOEK 300 in GR!!

This was definately interesting.

It was a bit hard to take in the fact he made her his property so quickly, a little too quickly to be honest, he was bloody hot though.

I'm interested to see how he's going to go about killing her entire family and her not hating him for it.

This was far too short for me, and it felt like half a book, ending way too early. I'm not sure I had chance to enjoy it because it was over and done with too quickly. I love MC books but didn't feel it with this one, that said I do want to know what happens next.

Disappointed that I have to purchase another book to finish the story. Not sure if I wanna commit to that and it still drags to another book.
