It's no secret that I am a fan of Milly a Taiden books, but unexpectedly mated surpassed my exspectations. Nicole is afraid she dosent know what love is. She cares for her froends and for soster. She has never known love so when the brother off her best friend becomes the mam she has always secretly wanted she pushes him away.
Jake is a dirty talking sex loving bad boy with a heart set on Nicole. He has patiently waited for her to see what was in front of her face. But there comes a time when you have to put your paw down.
enter bad guy and friends, one wild night in Vegas and hello mate.
Jake and nicole had me fanning myself, their bedroom antics were beyond hot. Add in the laughter and friendship and you have the along of a perfect story.
All i can say is when does Barbara get her story. Any woman that takes a shopping cart into an adult store is one i wanna read about ;)

Sometimes the best things in life are the unexpected surprises!
The Sassy Mates are back again with a whole new twist this time! This is book 3 in the series, be sure to check out the first two before reading this one. So this books starts off at the same point as the first two, at the scenting ceremony. If you are like me and love Milly's hot and sexy starts, this one will not disappoint ;) Then we fast forwards to a few months later, reminding us of what has happened to Jordan and Karla in the first two books before continuing on! Book 3 focuses on Jake and Nic, you can expect hot & sexy scenes, comic releif, frustration at the evil scum, and lack of communication - what more could you ask for! Nic has a very cold mother and step-father, who only are looking for fame and power, they never have shown Nic love so when she finally starts to feel something for Jake she is so confused! And now a bit about the story...
Jordan is worried about the plans for her upcoming wedding, after the attacks on her and Ellie she is nervous, and now she has to plan this gigantic wedding. Nic comes to the rescue with the idea of heading to Vegas for a girls only bachelorette party to take her mind off everything. It will also let her to see her sister too, she will unfortunately have to see her parents too, but what is one dinner in a long trip to Vegas? Especially after she gets smashed and pulls one of the standard Vegas tricks. Little does she know that trick is what will save her life and her heart!

- “My kids think there was some sort of miracle conception where they’re concerned.” She shrugged her shoulders and smiled at Kel. “If only they’d realize it took a lot of growling and spanking to actually get each of them.”

This book is my favorite out of the series. Not only because I'm in it, haha! But, it's hot, sexy, sassy and fabulous.
"He wanted to shove his face between her legs and devour her like nobody's business." Tell me that doesn't make you want to squeeze your legs together.
You'll laugh, cry and certainly fan yourself.
"Who used a shopping cart at an adult toy warehouse." I spit my drink out on that one.
The way I see it, this line sums up this whole series.
"We all wanted women with sass and have ended up having a hard time getting them to accept being our mates." That line is a perfect reason you must read these books. The ending had me crying, wondering why I am now going to wait so long until the next one is out.

Nicole and Jake are smoking hot.... The dirty talk alone is enough but and a great story with a twist and you have one of Milly Taiden's best stories yet!!!! I fell in love with this series with
Scent if a Mate Jordan and Aric falling in love and beating the odds.
A Mates Bite Karla and Nathan trying to get past insecurity and trust was outstanding.
Unexpectedly Mated Nicole and Jake was so hot and sexy a must read they all are!!!!

Hot shifter read with action packed scenes! I loved the way these characters come to terms with their love and protection of one another. Sexy hot sex that will make your mouth dry and your heart beat faster! This installment of the Sassy Mate series can stand alone, but is simply just the hottest of the series! Omg! The comedy in certain parts will simply make you laugh out loud. A great book for the adult reader who enjoys wolves, shifters, sex, love, romance, comedy and action. Enough said!

Milly Taiden has once again created a work of extreme smexiness in her latest book in the Sassy Mates series. The story between Jake and Nicole starts very similar to how the others do with the scenting ceremony. But where the stories diverge as each couple breaks off into their own story. Nicole is the ultimate girly girl so she hates the fact that she is romping around in the woods to watch the Wolfe boys --especially her Wolfe boy, Jake-- scent potential mates. Grumbling in irritation at her predicament and the bug, mostly the bugs :), Nicole is taken off guard when a very furry Jake comes up behind her. Recognizing who he is instantly, Nicole proceeds to fuss at Jake as she prepares to gather her stuff and flee the woods as fast as she can. But Jake is having no parts of that. He has wanted Nicole since he spotted her for the first time several years earlier. However, Nicole's upbringing has left her numb to anything resembling love. Lust, she's got. Passion, even better. But, love escapes her. Well, that is until Jake. Jake stops at nothing to make Nicole his own but his journey is not an easy one. Misunderstandings, mistrust, and a rival threaten to tear them apart from one another.
I really enjoyed all the books in the Sassy Mates series but this one was my favorite for some reason. The characters, their motivations, and emotions and passion were very potent. I really felt for Nicole when we discover how vile her parents are. But, boy did I cheer for her when she defended and saved herself. She was not wilting flower and took care of business for herself. I also appreciated the fact that there were more interactions between the other characters in this story -- especially Mama Wolfe, Barbara and Nicole's sisters, as well as the other girls from the other Sassy Mates books. However, we are also introduced to new characters who clearly have a story of their own brewing and eagerly waiting to be told. I can't wait to read them.
Lovers of paranormal romance will appreciate the story and the hotness of the series. Sassy, big beautiful women, and dominant alpha men who try to claim them creates an enjoyable read every time.

wow damn what a book , so hot and couldn't stop grinning through most of the book, love , love, love the new sassy mate book and enjoyed the interesting events that happened in the book that were abit different.

This is a awesome book, third in the series, loved it loved it. I waited for this to come-out and was completely shocked with it. The love is earth shattering, dreamy and so yummy. It makes you want to grip your sexy dreams and hold them..Talk about the lust that Jake has for his woman Nicole. It is a WOW read! Haha now I can't wait for the next one.

The fire and the passion between Nik and Jake up off the charts. Nik doesn't understand her feelings but knows she wants Jake he sends her blood to boiling with just a look. She is tough in some ways but it doesn't always come out when she needs it. Jake has wanted her for years and now he is willing to do what it takes to make her his so when they are in the midst of passion and she dares him to bite her he does. Now she must figure out what that means. This is not a book for under 18 or the faint of heart but if you want true gritty, hot and over the top passion this is the book for you. I cannot wait for the next book.

Wow...Jake Wolfe is down right sexy! Nic and Jake are explosive together and I wanted more! Nic has grown up with out being shown what love is and when the object of her dreams shows her a night of hot, steamy sex, she basically runs! Can Jake show Nic what love is all about and claim his mate? Or, will danger and betrayal take his mate? I love this series and the characters are fabulous! Nic proves her strength in this book and I loved watching her find her way to discovering love!I can't wait to see where this series goes!! Don't miss out, you'll love it!

HOT!!! highly recommend this book. this is book number three from the series and by far my FAV one!! I fell in love with Jake, he is all alpha and SO sweet!! I want to make my hubby read this book (so many ideas and scenarios we need to try hehe)And I think my hubby could use some lessons on how to talk dirty to me like Jake. ;) 5 stars!! This book rocks!!

The definition of insanity - to keep reading the same type of story, expecting a different result. I like the ‘verse Ms. Taiden’s created, but I’m not a fan of the lack of character development. Each book has started with sex and ended with sex and not a whole lot in between. The insta-love may work at first, but you need something to back it up - I really don’t know alot more about the H/h in this story than I did when it started. Here, there’s alot said about the heroine’s inability to deal with her feelings, but there’s barely any interaction between her and the hero that isn’t sex.
But on the plus side, it was a quick read. (always looking for the silver lining, I am).

If you like PNR with alot of sex and not much story, this may work for you. But I keep hoping for more.

Unexpectedly Mated is Milly Taiden's third book in her Sassy Mates series. The Sassy mates series features sexy wolf shifters in love with a group of human female friends.
In Unexpectedly Mated, human Nicole lusts after Jake Wolfe. She wants him but not for sure if she loves him because she was shown no affection as a child. It was interesting to read with how Nicole deals with her feelings for Jake. Jake is a typical alpha male that forgets women like to hear words, lots of words, besides just hot sex.
The story does have a HEA but there is an ongoing story line with the entire family that is interesting and definitely keeps me coming back for me. Can't wait for Caleb's story. Highly recommend!

This book needs to come with a warning. The warning should be for blushing, spontaneous combustion, random giggles, and cheering. My thoughts while reading this was holy hell! No he didn’t, go get him girl, and whoo hoo. I will let you piece together where those apply. No spoilers. I love that there is a HEA. I tell you Milly’s books are awesome like that, can’t go wrong by picking up any of her books. This one features Nic and Jake. They danced around each other long enough, now is their time to shine. And shine they did, all the way to the alter. Next is to see if they can get past some teeny tiny issues and be mates for real. Well, teeny tiny issues and a big nasty wolf trying to play alpha with Jake’s wifey. You must get your very own copy and put it first on your to read pile!

First let me say I am a huge fan of Ms Taiden. However, I also happen to be a very demanding reader. Because I have seen the potential in this author, I tend to be more exacting about the reviews and more stingy with the 5 stars. That is so not a problem here. Let's get something straight, Unexpectedly Mated is book 3 in the Sassy Mates series. Can they be read as stand alone novels? Sure. Should they be? I wouldn't advise it. If you do not read the first book, you will be completely lost on the most important detail... why they are all hidden with video cameras spying on the Wolfes in the first chapter to begin with.
That being said... To say this book was hot is an understatement. Milly Taiden takes the Sassy Mates out of their comfort zone and right in to Sin City. And we all know what they say about Vegas... What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Who knew Jake was a dirty talking bad boy? Even more surprising... Quietly reserved Nic likes it down and dirty. Wow. The sex was incredibly hot and the chemistry between them explosive, what more could you ask for? Their every interaction cause sparks to fly off the page.
As with all Milly Taiden books, there is of course the monkey wrench thrown in to the equation. In this case that comes in two-fold in the shape of Nic's family and another shifter who has decided Nic will be his. Having not 1, but 2 enemies? Even I did not expect that. But of course Taiden made it flow seamlessly.
It wouldn't be me if I did not pick a story apart and find something that did not mesh well with me. So here it is... Nic's insistence to refuse to acknowledge her feelings yet expectation that Jake will acknowledge them first... not realistic. When was the last time you saw a man jump in to say the big L word first? The Wolfe men barging in on the Sassy Mates' mini girls getaway to Sin City smacks of controlling men... that's not romantic, that's a bunch of a-holes who need to back off and realize they do not own the women. However, none of this dampened my enjoyment of the book one bit. All I can see is the end? Big, huge, heart pounding, Oh My God, why aren't there real men in the world like this sigh!
Did Ms Taiden surpass my expectations? Not at all. If you've read her previous books, you know that Ms Taiden is a phenomenal author that can write stories that will make you sigh and fall in love even as you squirm in your seat and down cold drinks to cool off. I am not the least bit surprised at how great this book is. I fully expected it. With every release she gets better and better and I for one can not wait to see what she comes up with next

I love this series and Milly Taiden I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review for the upcoming Blog Tour.
As with the other books in the series, this starts out during the mating ceremony of a couple in the Wolfe pack.
Nicole hates the outdoors and all creepy crawly things and freaks out when Jake first comes to her at the ceremony.
After 8 months she is still trying to avoid him, and any real feelings she has for him.
I love how she goes shopping with his mom, instead of with her friends. They do talk a bit about Jake but she still blows it off as nothing.
The girls decide to go to Vegas for Jordan to get away from it all. Nicole is still trying to pretend there is nothing between her and Jake.
The main part of the story, and all the action (sexual and fighting) happens in Vegas this time. And there is A LOT of action between Nicole and Jake. And true to form Milly Taiden does not disappoint in making every sex scene hot. Its even hot between them when they are not getting it on! Dirty talk is through the roof on this one! This book is Awesome!! This book is part three in the Sassy Mates Series, and I have to say these books keep getting better if that is possible. I LOVE Milly’s books! Nicole is human, but her best friend is a shifter. Nicole has been lusting over her friend’s brother Jake ever since she met him. Jake has always been attracted to Nicole and knows that he wants her to be his mate, but he has been trying to wait and get her to fall for him. During the scenting ceremony he makes his move and they have mind blowing sex. Nicole and the girls go to Vegas for a girls weekend/ bachelorette party. Well Jake and the guys decide they want to be with their mates so they head to Vegas as well. Jake decides he is tired of waiting and decides to make her his mate now. Jake he knows what he wants and isn't afraid to go after it, "Jake?" The big wolf lowered his head down to her face and licked her cheek. Figured. He was such a horndog. Even in his animal shape, he was still a flirt." I mean he's so generous as to what his girl can call him during naughty time, "that's right baby. You can call me God, Jake or whatever else comes to mind," he said." As a man the boy gets upset over things he doesn't understand, which I kind of don't blame him his woman doesn't do a good job at explaining herself, "did you not just have the most amazing effing sex of your life or were you not here just now?" he snarled." There were times I thought that Jake might need anger management, "he need a effing beer. Or to get her back into bed. It was going to be one long a** day." There are things you should always keep in mind when reading Milly's men one, their a**es are possessive, two, they love to sex up their woman and three they are possessive. I'm hoping Ellie's book is next Milly is freakin' killing me hear with anticipation.

This book starts out with Nicole watching the scenting ceremony. Because she has been lusting over Jake since she met him. Then she gets her heart desires and has one wild night with jake better then she could ever dream of. Jake knows what he wants and who is going to be his forever. But convince her is another matter .
This book was amazing such strong emotions. I have always loved shiftier series. And I think milly did an amazing job writing this series. She captured the love, romance, chemistry and all the sizzling moments. This book gave you all that and more.
I love wolfs because of the alpha needs .. The need to claim. The Need to be dominant. That is what makes this book so good. I wasn't sure about Nic she was so insecure but She ended up redeeming herself which helped me love the book even more!

I have read the Sassy Mates Series and all I can say is each book is better and better than the last! Jake WOlfe is a sexy, hunk of a man and Nicole is a beauty who doesn't think she can love. Will Jake prove to her that she can and that he's the woman he wants for all his days!?!

Exciting, seriously hot, passionate, wow this one has it all.
Nicole & Jake, love these to, great characters, ok yes I wanted to scream & shout at both of them but hey shifters have there own way of doing things that us mere humans may not understand, especially a woman who hasn't known love & doesn't understand her mixed emotions that she has for Jake or the feelings Jake has for her.

This was another good Milly Taiden read! Like the women in the other series installments Nicole came from a cold family. But also like the other ladies, she had at least one sibling that she was close to. Jake, the owner of a strip club, was an unlikely mate for such an insecure woman. Ms. Taiden makes them work, of course with the help of the Wolfe matriarch Barbara. I am really loving this series.

Milly Taiden has once again done it. You will not be able to put this book down no matter what you need to do. You will be hooked on it as soon as you start reading. It has amazing characters that will grab you from the beginning and a story that will keep you entertained all the way through. You must read this.

I devoured this book quickly, I can't wait to see what happens next in these upcoming books in the series! This book was fast paced and defiantly kept me entertained! I love the series and highly recommend. It's a fantastic fun beach day read! You won't be disappointed!

Im sitting here asking myself how in the hell this book got so many good reviews. This book sucked bad. I couldn't stand Nicole to the point I was hoping Jake left her. The whole my home life was unsatisfactory so I have to make the one person who loves me jump through hoops until he says screw it is so played out. Get over yourself already. Good grief.
I found myself skimming and outright skipping pages in this book because I just couldn't stand her. What makes it worse is she knew she was doing it and was all oh well deal with it. Jake shouts he loves her in the middle of a freaking crowded airport and she says he doesn't know what he's talking about. Come on, really?? WTF?? He chased her AFTER she left him and thats the response he gets after chasing and catering to her the whole book? Its moments like this that makes me dislike this series.
She complains about her mother being cold and emotionless. Hello pot, kettle anyone?
This is by far the worst book in the series. Considering I didn't like the first two is really saying something. Why am I still reading when I obviously can't stand this series? I paid for them so I'm suffering through them.
I will say ALL of the women in the first three books are too stupid to live. They purposely get into danger despite numerous warnings. I'm not talking one or two. That would be to easy. No no, more like over 15 and still they go marching off into danger. That's not independence. It's utter stupidity!!!!
Keep in mind this is just my opinion. If you like utter stupidity then you will enjoy this series. I, on the other hand, want to keep my brain cells in tact. I'm with Jake when he said, "Let her go." There's only so much stupidity any sane person can handle.

Unexpectedly Mated is book three in the Sassy Mates series by Milly Taiden. It’s a quick insta-love story with a little action and a whole lot of sexiness. Their is danger, misunderstands, and an unexpected mating.
Each book is about a different Wolfe brother and their mates who happen to be friends with their sister. Each book has started us off at the mating ceremony, which is explained to us in Scent of a Mate book one.
Unexpectedly Mated is about Jake and Nicole. We are given hot and heavy right off the bat, with a whole lot more in between. The insta-love in this story did not work so well for me as it did in previous installments. Jake and Nicole, barely know each other, except for a little flirting here or their as they grew up. They did not try to get together except to spend time having sex. I have to say I did like Jake’s dirty talk. Boy can can he talk dirty. As for the heroine it talks about her inability to deal with her feelings, but there’s barely any interaction between her and Jake, to actually feel like she is dealing with feelings except lust for Jake.

First off, I'm a huge Milly Taiden fan. Love the books, but this book can be summed up in 3:49 by my girl Tina Turner with "What's Love Got to do With It". Which you can find right here:

The whole book the girl is insecure, and refuses to 'feel her feelings'. I don't mind angst, but it annoys the crap out of me when the same thoughts and feelings are repeated page after page, over and over, and over. I read to escape annoying people, not to add fictional characters on my 'needs to be slapped' list.
Anyways, just throw in some great dirty-taking sex, and the girl finally having an epiphany in the last two pages and voila! Done.
It's still worth reading to keep up with the overall series, and aforementioned awesome sex. It's just not something I'd read again.
