This was a fun story about a chocolatier with a police detective for a boyfriend in the middle of Paris. In this adventure, a unscrupulous jeweler takes advantage of Millie to buy his inferior gold leaf sheets for an inflated price and she buys them to help support a new shop owner. When she finally looks at the sheets they are inferior quality and not even food grade. The next day he gets himself murdered and the whole district suffers because a reporter uses fear mongering in her article and causes people to avoid the area for fear of a murderer. The amateur sleuth chases down a couple of red herring leads causing her police boyfriend some unneeded stress. The killer was caught though and it was someone I would never haves suspected, so yes, I definitely recommend this book.

Millie finds a body and of course she has to find her neighbor Claudette is still nasty and stubborn but at least has Sophie to help her and her French is improving Let's not forget her romance with Luc is growing too
