Crex is the second explosive sci-fi book in the Captured by Aliens series by AG Wilde. Kidnapped and sold by vile creatures who take and breed no matter who you are. Creatures who torture, rape, and murder, no matter the consequences. It is a dark, high-stakes danger with romance, action, tension, vicious battles, danger, and suspense. A series that should not be missed.
But hot on their heels are aliens that have lost everyone they loved to these creatures, hoping to stop them to exact revenge. These new aliens are loyal, have courage, and will take on all looming threats that jeopardise their lives and the lives they swore to protect. These alpha heroes find something they thought would never be possible, and that is a connection with humans in the face of uncertainty and danger.

LOVED IT!
Book 1-Xul (commander- mission to stop the alien from kidnapping innocent female) and Athena - who escape from the alien after he killed one of the big guy.
Book 2-Crex & Piper- part of the group to save the alien. There story is actually in the middle of being safe & then had to make a run to the planet “muk” to get to safety- I think this one is my favorite!
Book 3-Yce & Diana- Yce is able to read people’s mind & talk through the mind as well. Diana is awesome! She takes no crap from no one including Yce!
Book 4-Kyris & Song- this one is my least favorite. I like Kyris (he flies) song is the youngest & the most naive out of all the girls.
Book 5-Kyro & Evren- There story happens after the women are safe into their “sanctuary” (I guess you want to call it) all the ladies were w/their alien except Evren. She went through very lonely days till she & Kyro got close & she learned exactly who he really is! I really liked all the stories.

I read this via Audible. It was okay. The first book was more horror and featured dub con and worse so it was hard to get into. But I liked the world and was determined to finish the series. I liked the Crex/ Piper and the Ice/ Diana books the best as each character was fun and strong. I hated the Kairus/ Song pairing because I did not like Song-- she was TSTL, weak, and somehow STILL a Mary Sue. It was hard to get thru this book and I am not sure I will continue the series after. Things I found super lacking/ big cons-- somehow there is only 1 planet explored in this series so it gets really repetitive after the first couple of books; and, the author seems to love referring to male genitalia as "mushrooms." It's not romantic and very hard to take it any kind of serious, and yet, it's not funny enough to be comedic. The space travel, fight scenes, and initial exposure to the sand planet was the best part of the series.

A.G. Wilde has become a favorite author of mine, so I had no qualms about buying the box set knowing little about it. The stories and characters were great! I'd be hard-pressed to choose a favorite among the five male leads. Each one was so special in his own way! The women were all unique and great, too, and showed growth and strength under stress, even Song (book 4), who was the physically and emotionally weakest. I related most to Evryn (book 5) because she is a bit of a loner and a need, like me.
I will mention that book 1 was a little hard to get into for me at first, as Wilde was setting the stage, so to speak, in the opening chapters. However, once Athena and Xul set out on their own, I couldn't put it down.

Great series!
I read these 5 books as a package I loved all 5 but I think I liked Syria's story the best. It was so sweet and romantic. Great universe!
My favorite line from the 5 books, "The reason he’d felt the need to wait. The reason why he couldn’t answer the call to go away. His eyes opened suddenly and he knew. How could he have forgotten? Dark hair… Dark eyes… It was coming back to him now. The person waiting for him. His person. His Song. He couldn’t leave without her. He had to get back."

Personal Preference Rating 3.75/5 🌶️🌶️ Audiobook (Audible)
I liked the first book a lot, but then the stories and the characters became a little repetitive. There’s not much last book was good though. I wouldn’t recommend reading these as a compilation, since they are so similar. I think I would have liked them more with breaks.

finished every book. I absolutely love that it has a story line within the series but that each book doesn't end without finishes each person's HEA .
