Grab a box of tissues, turn down the lights and get ready for one thrilling sensation after another as the night goes on...
***Snuff Puppy: Brennan just wants to be murdered - his #1 kink - and after getting drunk and posting his address to social media one night, he finds his wish might just come true.
Camille: after leaving her ex, a woman discovers that said ex isn't quite willing to leave her, when she shows up to her rebounds apartment one night.
Juniper, Juniper: an 18 year old girl is sent to an insane asylum for butchering her whole family with an axe - but it wasn't her, it was the shadow man, the voice inside her head. The voice that won't go away.
***The Third Date: a man believes he's finally met the perfect woman to conduct his operations on, and turn her into his lifelong fantasy - unfortunately for him, she's not willing to take that laying down.
Meeting Phoebe: a reality TV show star meets a mysterious woman out at the club, and leaves with her - but she doesn't just want a normal hook up - instead she brings him to an infamous local haunted house, and introduces him to something he'll never forget.
Like an Animal: a man badly disfigured in a fire, set as a suicide attempt, finally finds company in the form of a prostitute - but eventually the man decides in order to find true happiness, he must share the story of the fire with him.
Hornytoad: when a strange creature takes up residence in a woman's attic, she has a sexual awakening with the strange tentacled being, using it not only for her pleasure, but for revenge against the homewrecker in her recently dissolved marriage.
The Not-Dead Girls: a man so obsessed with sex dolls he loses his marriage over them, begins to wonder if he's losing his mind - or if his plastic companions are actually alive.
***A Necro Night in the Swamp: two swamp-dwelling brothers dubbed "The Lady Killers" find out the hard way they're not the most dangerous things in the swamp after all.
***Milk, Milk, Lemonade: a "high end escort" can't believe her luck when she comes across a man who wants an entire night of her time - unfortunately, the mystery client has some serious unresolved mommy issues to work through. ----------------- Pretty much every single one of these stories was good, which is always a win when you pick up a collection with multiple authors. I starred my favorites though.
Intrigued by Jerry Blaze's description of his story, I asked him for an ARC and he immediately obliged. I had no idea what I was getting into! I don't do horror erotica (or whatever this is called), but I hugely enjoy splatterporn.
What's the difference, I hear you asking. Well, I understand "splatterporn" as a genre where graphic violence and torture dominate over sexual scenes and descriptions of intimate details; horror erotica probably works the other way round: horror is present, but it serves the erotic aspects of the story (the smut, to put it bluntly). "Lustful Terrors," for me, is an anthology falling squarely in the second category: ten stories with intense sex scenes described in detail, and horror punctuating the sex the way an exclamation point shows how a sentence as a whole should be taken. (Perhaps I'm overthinking it: perhaps all I'm saying is how uncomfortable the tales made me feel LOL.)
I'll say a few words about the stories that impressed me most, though I'm practically a newcomer to this genre.
Aiden E. Messer's "Snuffpuppy," the opening story of the volume, is about a paraphilia I'd never heard of before. I won't even try to write it down, though as a Greek myself I recongize the word's origins: in any case, it's about getting your rocks off by stage managing your own murder. Messer describes everything in unmentionable and shocking detail, so prepare yourself for the worst. Great writing (in a variety of formats), great craftmanship, a memorable ending.
Jessica May's "The 3rd Date" is the first-personal account of a lovely date night when the narrator finally feels OK enough to invite the girl over to his place "for a nightcap". The twist comes right in the middle of the story and I for one enjoyed it very much. The sex is comparatively minimal, but you'll choke on the gore! I found the ending a bit bizarre though.
Shaun Avery's "Meeting Phoebe" is a supernatural tale about... sex in haunted houses. It's difficult to talk about it without spoiling it, so I'll just say the ending was brilliant, the premise quite original, and the performance excellent.
Matthew J. Gleason's "Like An Animal" employed issues of sex addiction and sexual dysfuntion in a near-future setting, when a portal to another world has been opened. I doubt there are terms currently available to name what happens. At any rate, the result was vile. Five stars.
"A Necro Night in the Swamp" by Holly Horror is about necrophilia, serial killers, and karma, in the swamps of South Florida. The contentious scenes are shockingly effective: you can almost smell and taste the goddamn thing. I was even worried that the gator would partake as well, thankfully this didn't happen.
Finally, the closing story, Jerry Blaze's "Milk, Milk, Lemonade…" Amber is a night worker who once dreamt of becoming a biochemical engineer, but totally messed up her chances. She chooses to become a sex worker (she hates that phrase), and, quite self-consciously, reinvents herself as a high-class escort. One night she decides to be less exclusive in her choice of client, and she goes for a classy and mysterious stranger. There's only one thing: apparently, he enjoys humming the titular nursery rhyme during sex. WTF. Is noone your average Joe in this anthology?
To be honest, I enjoyed the book far more than I expected. It has twists, intrigue, and enough sleazy sex scenes to make you both squirm and feel naughty at the same time. Recommended!
Ten Tales of Erotic Horror that will thrill you and terrify you!
Snuffpuppy by Aiden E. Messer Autassassinophilia- is a paraphilia in which a person is sexually aroused by the risk of being killed. 😳🫣 Aiden sure kicked off this antho with a bang! Brutal and fucked up.
Camille by C. Lenz Oyy. Nothing like a toxic ex.
Juniper, Juniper by Vivian Vandam Really liked the supernatural aspect to this one.
The 3rd Date by Jessica Mays Body Horror with a side of revenge and gross outs👀 This story was fucking INSANE. I loved every minute of it, even when I was gagging at a certain part🤢😂
Meeting Phoebe by Shaun Avery Haunted Houses. Sex. Ghosts. What more could you ask for?
Like An Animal by Matthew J. Gleason This one was… interesting. That ending was bleak af too.
Hornytoad by Nick Watts The title says it all…
The Not-Dead Girls by Whitney R. Holp This was quite the fetish😬
A Necro Night In The Swamp by Holly Horror Karma sure is a bitch🐊
Milk, Milk, Lemonade… by Jerry Blaze Owwwwww. This one hurt me, Jerry😅
This is a fantastic book with a few authors that I recognise and a few that I didn't so that was awesome as I love finding a new author. I think that this was a great collection of stories, while the stories contained fit into the horrorotica sub-genre they are vastly different ranging from an alien creature that gives tentacle worth killing for(that bitch had it coming) to fucking in a house and body full of ghost to a young sex worker being murdered by a guy who likes a nursery rhyme . Great book definitely worth checking out I'd give it a 5/5
This was a wonderful compilation of short "lusty" stories. Most of the stories were page turners, and a small few didn't engage me as much I thought they would. But that is my opinion, the stories I wasn't fond of might be the next person's favorite story. I will say A Necro Night in the Swamp was my favorite.
If you're looking for truly provocative horror, this anthology of erotic horror short stories is a must-read! This book has ten stories. They promise "naughty nightmares" to both tease and scare you. I didn't expect it would scare me while reading this book. I was confident that this was just an ordinary horror book I had read in the past, haha! But no! These stories go beyond normal limits and will take you to a different world to explore dark human experiences.
I have a strong imagination, and I can guarantee these stories were intense. The gross and shocking descriptions made me feel a lot of things, like... how do I say it? Disgust and disbelief. Trust me, the authors are great at writing disturbing scenes. The descriptions were so goooood. They left me wide-eyed and shocked. 😬😲
This book is for serious horror fans who want something truly scary and unsettling. Honestly, it's NOT easy to read since it is genuinely horrifying. BUT! It will leave you terrified and curious. It's worth reading!
I highly recommend this book. It's not for the faint of heart! Trust the author's words! If you crave a reading experience that will leave you both terrified and intrigued, this anthology will deliver. This is the kind of book that stays with you long after you've finished reading. Memorable and impactful addition to any horror collection!
NOTE: This is my personal opinion about the book. My goal is to share my experience, not to change anyone's perspective.
Lustful Terrors: Tales of Horrorotica is a wild ride of horror, lust, and twisted desires. Each story dives into the darker side of passion, blending fear with temptation in ways that are both disturbing and addictive. The mix of authors keeps every tale fresh—some stories are haunting, some shocking, and some downright brutal. If you enjoy extreme horror that isn’t afraid to push boundaries, this anthology delivers exactly that.
Freaky Fetishes and Monster Smut? If that intreagues you, look no further than Lustful Terrors, 10 tales of "Horrorotica".
In this book we get 10 Short stories by 10 authors. Now, let me tell you, this book made me feel lots of things! uncom-fortable, Grossed out... Curious!
There is great variety in the stories to tickle every fancy; Ghost sex, necrophilia, Body Horror and the list goes on
A Couple of my favorites were The 3rd Date by Jessica May - an outrageous body Horror tale that had me laughing and reading through my fingers at the same time. loved this gory little tale.
Milk, Milk, lemonade by Jerry Blaze A high class escort takes on an unhinged client with mummy issues - Jerry that was a heart breaker!
Overall this was a great read with tonnes of Gore, Shocks and smut.
I think the title of this one is pretty self explanatory, Lustful Terrors is a collection of 10 short stories that are a little bit of scare and a little bit of sweet. It’s a pretty wild mixed bag of stories, I think if you see this cover and hear this title and think, huh interesting, this is a good fit for you!!
