Winter Celeste has spent a lifetime suppressing the horrors of Sight, her particular Wicked talent. She may be Wicked, but she will never embrace the burden passed to the women in her family. When her avoidance tactics fail and she becomes caught in a nightmarish vision of the future, Winter is devastated to learn her sisters’ lives are in jeopardy. The Shadow Council, a ruthless assassin squad, is desperate to recruit Winter—the strongest Seer to exist in centuries—and they’ll use any means necessary to secure her compliance.
Winter can’t work for the soulless council that murdered her mother. In an effort to alter the future, she takes off for the Maine coast. Hopping from one picturesque town to another, she figures if the Shadow Council can’t find her, they can’t offer her the job, and her family won’t have to suffer the consequences of her turning them down. Perfect logic.
Until it isn’t.
When the Shadow Council tracks Winter to the coast, they give her four days to make her decision. If she accepts the position her sisters’ lives will be spared. If not . . .
Famous TV ghost hunter, Erikson Grimm, is used to hunting the paranormal, he just never thought he’d be chasing after Winter Celeste. Finding her is a favor to his brother. A huge favor. Winter has the spirit of a warrior crammed into the body of a fairy, and there’s no one she dislikes more than Erikson. Case in point: when Erikson shows up on her lobstering boat, the first thing she does is pitch him overboard.
Erikson’s unexpected arrival is a snag in Winter’s plans, but when his touch triggers a vision about a powerful Witch who may hold the key to stopping the Shadow Council, Winter realizes she needs the help of America’s favorite ghost-hunting playboy after all. Except the more time she spends with Erikson, the more she realizes he isn’t what he presents to the world. He makes her laugh when she’s grown accustomed to frowning, he keeps her off-kilter with outrageous comments, and he’s unfailingly loyal. If Winter isn’t careful, she might fall for a man she knows her curse will never allow her to keep.
When Winter and Erikson’s leads collide and they learn what the Shadow Council is scheming, they pull together a risky plan. Winter is determined to change the future, even if it means doing the one thing she’s always fought against: embracing her Wickedness.
Lindsay writes historical and paranormal romances with brave heroines, as well as creepy YA books. Although she earned degrees in English and teaching, she always knew she wanted to write stories about love.
When she’s not writing, Lindsay is reading, drinking coffee, and avoiding laundry. She currently lives in New York, but was born and raised in Maine where the winters make for perfect reading weather.

In the second installment of this bewitching series, Holly is just weeks away from marrying Conner. But when her sister, Winter, vanishes, Conner enlists the help of Erikson to track her down. Erikson finds her working on a lobster boat, and their reunion is anything but smooth—Winter promptly throws him overboard. Despite this fiery start, a potent sexual tension ignites between them.
Winter reveals a haunting vision she had of the mysterious Shadow Council, who are trying to recruit her. Erikson agrees to help her find a person she saw in her vision, someone who might hold the key to understanding the council's sinister plans.
I absolutely loved this book. The witchy vibes and sizzling chemistry between Winter and Erikson kept me hooked. While the pace lagged a bit in the middle, the thrilling conclusion made it all worth it. I'm already counting down the days until book three, which will follow Missy!
“I’d rather spend the rest of my time on this planet struggling with you then struggling without you—because it would be a struggle without you. You’re it for me, Winter.“
Book two in the Wicked Sisters series was fantastic! I truly loved reading Perfectly Wicked last year. The magical world and the way magic/wickeds were described was such a fun and unique take on witches!
This book followed Wicked Winter Celeste & Erikson Grimm, a paranormal investigator. Winter is a black cat FMC that is carrying to weight + the fate of not only her sister’s lives but also so many innocents. After having a terrible vision she left home to protect those she loved. When that doesn’t work, she finds herself partnering, reluctantly, with Erikson.
Winter was a great FMC. She was so used to being strong and protecting herself from others, that Erikson really threw her for a loop. The past lives aspect of this story was really cool! Their banter was top of the line and the spiceeeee! 🤭❤️🔥
“It was a carnal claiming, a crescendo, and every cell realigned in his body with one point of orientation: Winter. He was drowning in her, and it was the sweetest death he’d ever experienced.”
I loved the mystery and how everything played out in the end! I can’t wait for the next book.
This series is perfect for spooky season! Read Perfectly Wicked & Just a Little Wicked today!
Tropes: 🤭 Enemies to Lovers ☀️ Reversed Grumpy x Sunshine ✨ Magic Vision & Witches & Wickeds 🐈⬛ Black Cat FMC 💘 Forced Proximity 🛏️ Only One Bed ❤️🔥 Spicy
Okay… I LOVE Perfectly Wicked so much! But Just a Little Wicked!? That was freaking EPIC! The plot was plotting! The twists were twisting! The romance was just… hot! Seriously! So good. It’s crack. A total kick your feet ending! The entire story is uplifting too. If you have ever been the fake bubbly person, or the quiet reserved- keep to yourself kind of person, you’ll learn not only about these characters in this book, but yourself too! And grow along with them. I’m over here squealing still because I love this book so much. I had the honor of being an ARC reader for this book and I’m thrilled, because my heart is full. This book ticked off all the 5 ⭐️ reader boxes for me.
You know it’s good when you finish the book and just want to scream into a pillow. I am literally buzzing after finishing this book.
Just a Little Wicked follows Lindsay Lovise’s Perfectly Wicked, transitioning from Holly and Connor’s story to Winter and Erikson’s as Winter’s Wicked powers continue to develop and the threat of the Shadow Council looms ever closer. Winter and Erikson are wonderful foils and their romance was a delight to watch unfold.
This was just as good as Perfectly Wicked, which is saying something because that was perhaps my perfect fall read last year, and this is a return to the same wonderful universe with a story that layers on complexity, both narratively and with the emotional entanglements between the main characters. The pacing was perfect, the world building interesting, and the relationships between all of the characters lovely.
Thanks to Lindsay for providing me with a digital ARC of this book. I loved it just as much as I thought I would, and I can only hope she wraps up the Celeste Wickeds’ stories by giving us Missy’s much deserved happy ending and the Shadow Council’s final blow.
Looking for fall vibes? Just a Little Wicked is the perfect romance to put you in the right mood, with witches, mysteries, forced proximity, oh and a reformed playboy too. Lindsay Lovise takes all my favorite tropes and spins them into a wonderful story.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Winter Celeste is a wicked seer (different than a witch!) who’s suffered horrible visions for years. When she sees a future with her sisters Holly and Missy in mortal danger, she runs off in an attempt to keep them safe. But Holly is worried, so her future brother-in-law, ghost hunter Erikson Grimm, goes searching for Winter. He finds her, and they soon realize he is a key to her visions. There’s a strong attraction between them, too, which goes beyond a simple spark. How does this connection relate to Winter’s visions, and can it help them save her sisters?
Winter and Erikson are the perfect antagonists to lovers, and their bickering and banter is clearly covering up deeper feelings. I’m always a fan of a forced proximity road trip, and I love that a huge chunk of this story is just Winter and Erikson together in his truck. The world building here is great—I adore the first book in this series, but you don’t have to have read it to figure out what’s going on here—and the fact that the pair’s deeper connection is part of the plot is a wonderful twist.
If you are a fan of witchy tales, and love an antagonists to lovers story with tons of forced proximity, you’ll adore Just a Little Wicked. Lindsay Lovise’s plot and world building are great, and now I’m not-so-patiently waiting for Missy’s book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thanks to Lindsay Lovise for sending me an eARC to review.
I'm so glad we get to go back to this world and these characters!
I enjoyed Perfectly Wicked so much and was hoping we'd also get Winter and Missy's stories, so was thrilled to be sent book two.
Just as with the first book, this is good spicy fun with plenty of magic thrown in. I loved that Winter and her sisters got to find out more about their powers, especially as this led to a lot of character development for Winter. It's also perfectly set up the third book and I'm really looking forward to it.
The relationship between Winter and Erikson was also great. I didn't think it necessarily needed the magic angle, but I'm not mad at it as I'm sure it will come in handy in the next book.
And yes, for those wandering, there is spice. Window shattering spice, in fact 👀
This is absolutely a book and series I'll be picking up again in the future. It's effortless to read as the writing, pacing and characters are all brilliant, meaning you can just have a great time.
If you love witchy romances, you need to read this series.
I loved Perfectly Wicked by Lindsay Lovise and was excited to see that the prickliest Celeste sister, Winter, was up next. Thanks to the author for the complimentary early copy of Just a Little Wicked.
Winter Celeste has taken off, leaving her family home for the first time in her life just six weeks before her older sister Holly’s wedding. Winter and her family are Wickeds—the dark counterbalance to Witches. And not only are they Wickeds, but Winter, Holly, and Missy are some of the most powerful ever to exist—and they’re only growing stronger. Winter is a seer, and just before she left home, she had a vision of the Shadow Council (the secretive governing body of Wickeds) murdering her family. She ran, hoping to outrun them and save her sisters. But Holly isn’t having it, so she and her fiancé send his brother, Erickson, after Winter. Erickson, like his older brother, is a ghost hunter and host of the popular reality TV show Grimm Reality. His task? Bring Winter home in time for the wedding. But when the Shadow Council finally confronts her, Winter realizes she can’t outrun fate—and she’ll need Erickson’s help to harness her power and protect the people she loves from her own formidable gifts.
Lindsay Lovise is quickly becoming an auto-buy author for me. Between her historical romance series and this paranormal series, I’ve loved everything I’ve read from her. My favorite part of the Wicked Sisters world is how familiar the mythology feels—we recognize the elements from traditional witch lore—but Lovise flips it on its head by introducing the concept of the Wickeds: the dark foil to the shimmery, good power of Witches. This book greatly expands the world as the Celeste sisters begin connecting with other Wickeds and sympathetic Witches in their fight against the Shadow Council. I especially enjoyed learning more about the magic system and the history of the two species.
Winter is a tough nut to crack. In the last book, she came across as the quietest Celeste, and here we learn it’s because of the nature of her power. As a Wicked seer, she gets horrific glimpses of the future and isolates herself to protect those around her from the knowledge of what’s to come. But once we’re in her head, we see that it’s more than just shielding her siblings—Winter both fears and despises the Wicked part of herself. She views it as a curse rather than a gift, which makes her even more reluctant than her sisters to explore what her power might become as it evolves.
Erickson, meanwhile, has been drawn to Winter from the start. We saw hints of it in the previous book—his struggle not to be attracted to her—but now that we’re in his POV, it’s clear that everything Winter loathes about herself is exactly what pulls him closer. I loved their opposites-attract dynamic and how their relationship opened up new layers of the world and the magic system.
This book also reveals that Put it directly in my veins.
My only real issue is a personal one, stemming from my background as a professional classical musician. There’s simply no way Winter could land an audition with a symphony orchestra, much less earn a seat, without a degree in classical music from a recognized music school. Playing in an orchestra requires far more than talent—it involves technical challenges unique to ensemble performance, which she would never have encountered in her small town in Maine. I understand why Lovise included it, but from a professional perspective, I can’t quite suspend disbelief on that point.
Overall, Just a Little Wicked is another fun entry in this paranormal romance series. If you’re looking for a book to kick off spooky season, the Wicked Sisters are a great place to start. ★★★★☆
3.5 ⭐️ This was a super cute follow up to a book I absolutely adored last year, Perfectly Wicked. The first book had the best witchy, fall vibes and reminded me so much of Practical Magic but this one took me a lot longer to get into and lost a little bit of that vibe I loved from the first book. This book follows Holly’s sister Winter, one of the twins, who is the prickly, strong, loner and carries a lot of emotional baggage internally. Winter is a seer who sees the death of her family and runs away to try to find a solution to keep it from happening. Along the way Holly’s fiancé’s brother - Erickson is sent to find Winter and bring her home. There is a lot that happens in this book and the story really develops but it also doesn’t. It takes a long time to get to the solution and then it glides over it very quickly with an uneven ending that left me wanting more… and not just from the other twin Missy but more in terms of a wrap up to this storyline. Also, I think the writing is pretty choppy in places that make it come off a bit unpolished. I sometimes have a hard time with books written in 3rd person POV and think this would have been a better execution with 1st person dual POV of Winter and Erickson but that’s just my personal writing preference.
What I did love is how this story developed from book one, it is much more complex with Wicked and Witches lore, more powers and people were introduced and we still had call backs from the Celeste family from the first book (smaller roles but they are all in it). Overall, I really did enjoy this book and I love the world Lindsay has created and I will 100% read the next installment, I just hope it is a bit more even pacing, storytelling and better resolutions to the conflict.
Special thanks to Lindsay for granting her rabid fans early access of the digital ARC in exchange for my honest review. I never take an author’s hard work for granted and I am truly grateful to have been chosen as an early reader.
This book will be published tomorrow, September 9, 2025.
I really loved Perfectly Wicked by Lindsay Lovise, and was so happy to hear that Winter would be next. Just a Little Wicked was a super cute follow-up!
Winter Celeste runs away from her family six weeks before her sister Holly's wedding. Winter's family are Wickeds, like the evil version of Witches. Winter, Holly, and Missy are super powerful Wickeds, and they're still learning to use their powers. Winter can see the future, and she saw the Shadow Council before she left. She was convinced that leaving was the only way to keep her family safe.
Erickson was captivated by Winter from the very beginning. The previous book offered glimpses of his attraction to her. Now, through his perspective, it becomes evident that Winter's self-perceived flaws are precisely what have drawn him to her. I loved their contrasting personalities!
Now they've set off together to find a way to thwart the Shadow Council and their attraction for each other is clear! They have amazing chemistry and it gets very spicy!
This book is just as fun as the first one, with so much magic. I especially loved how the sisters learned more about their abilities, which really helped Winter grow as a person. I'm beyond excited about the direction the next book is taking and can't wait to read Missy's book!
Just a Little Wicked is another awesome book in this paranormal romance series. If you're looking for a spooky book to kick off the season, the Wicked Sisters are a great choice.
Thank you to Lindsay Lovise for letting me read the digital ARC early in return for my honest review.
I really enjoyed the overall story, especially as more layers of mystery, complication, history, and magic were revealed as it progressed.
Winter was a compelling character, misunderstood as closed off and uncaring despite her fear and care on behalf of those she loved. Her sacrificial dedication and love for her family was part of what draws Erikson in. Yes, he wanted to fulfill his obligation to his brother to return his future sister-in-law before the wedding, but there's something undeniable that draws him (and attracts him) to Winter.
I really enjoyed how the enemies to lovers trope was played out and unraveled through truth, vulnerabilities, and honesty. Their defense and protection of each other was sweet and endearing. The banter and slow burn fit with the characters and how they wrestled with the threats against their families and the magical complications revealed.
By the end, I was left with questions that need answering, especially around the magic and goals of Wickeds and the Shadow Council and Missy's future. I hope she is the focus of book 3.
I read this book without having read book 1. I do think I was missing some backstory and perspective that would have added to my understanding particularly of the Celeste family relationships and the Witches vs. Wicked dynamic, but it worked as a standalone novel.
Thanks to the author and publisher for this ARC read!
This second installment in the Celeste sisters' saga is a captivating dive into the world of Winter and Erikson. The author masterfully crafts a slow-burn romance, allowing their connection to build authentically with each new adventure they face. Their relationship grows organically, feeling earned and genuine, which makes their journey all the more compelling.
The story kicks off with Winter on the run, driven by a terrifying vision of the future that forces her to flee to protect her family. This sets the stage for Erikson, brother to the ghost hunter Connor, to track her down and bring her home. What follows is a thrilling journey of self-discovery for both characters, as they uncover startling truths about themselves and the mysterious Wickeds.
I especially enjoyed how the witches' role expanded in this book. Seeing their dynamics and relationships evolve and strengthen was a highlight, adding a rich layer to the overarching plot. It's clear that this series is building a powerful sense of community and found family.
I can't wait to see what the next book holds. The truth about this couple was so satisfying to uncover, and now, I’m ready to dive into Missy's story! I won't spoil anything! 🤭😏
this was a very pleasant surprise because I wasn't expecting it to be so good??? I was familiar with lindsay lovise from her historical romances so her ability and competence at writing a pretty amazing paranormal romance was delightful surprise.
Just A Little Wicked shattered my expectations. I've always believed twists and turns wrapped in romance are harder to spot and maybe what I'm saying makes no sense but you'll understand what I'm talking about when you read this.
if you love enemies to allies to lovers, plot twists, off standish fmc × blonde sociable mmc, then you must try it out (i want to say more tropes but they'd be massive spoilers)
✨ I loved this book! ✨ getting to know more about this interesting family of strong, resilient women was both entertaining and inspiring 💪🏼 I found myself relating to Winter in so many ways, and I really enjoyed how her personal growth and development were woven into the story 🥹 the mix of magic and powerful women made this such a captivating read that kept me hooked 🪝
Huge thank you to Lindsay for this ARC 💕 can’t wait to see what comes next! 🥰💕
Series Info/Source: This is the 2nd book in the Wicked Sisters series. I borrowed this on ebook from Kindle Unlimited.
Thoughts: I really enjoyed this second book in the Wicked Sisters series. It is a cute and fun paranormal romance read. It has cozy autumn/winter vibes to it and is the perfect fall read. This book wasn't quite as cozy as the first book in the series. However, I did enjoy getting to learn more about this magical world and the Shadow Council. We learn a lot more history about Wicked and Witches and how that fits in with the rest of this world.
This book follows Winter (and there are hints that we will get a third book following Missy). Winter is the restrained sister, the quiet one. When Winter has a horrible vision she can't ignore, she decides to leave the apple orchard and her family behind to try and outrun the Shadow Council. However, her family isn't put off that easily. They might be planning for a wedding, but they still have time to send Erikson Grimm off to hunt Winter down. Erikson and Winter can't stand each other but Winter finally agrees to accept his help with the Shadow Council. When they start spending time together, they find out they not only have excellent chemistry but may also be tied together by a strange connection from the past.
This was a quick and easy read that was steamy, fun, and engaging. I loved both Winter and Erikson as characters and enjoyed watching them get to know each other. It was fun to see all the sisters cope with their expanding powers and to learn more about this world as a whole and the Witches and Wickeds that reside in it.
This was just one of those easy, cozy reads that has some steamy love scenes and some heartfelt family moments. Things never get too dangerous or dire. Most of the people in here are decent and trying to be kind. It's just a delightful paranormal romance read.
My Summary (4/5): Overall I enjoyed this a lot. There's nothing super special about this book, but it does cozy paranormal romance well. The fall is a perfect time to read this book, and it is an easy read that is just pure fun. I love the characters, the romance, the family vibes, the growing magic powers, and learning more about this paranormal world. I would highly recommend this to those who enjoy paranormal romance with some steamy scenes, but also some cozy vibes and some sweet family interactions. I am looking forward to Missy's story!
Often when a book says it’s enemies to lovers, it’s a fair bet that the characters will just bicker at each other for a couple of chapters. This book?? By the end of the first chapter, Winter has literally thrown Erikson off a lobster boat. Not an auspicious start.
To be fair, he was trying to get her home for the wedding of his brother to her sister, an event she must avoid at all costs. Not because she doesn’t want to be there - because she has had a vision of terrible things happening to her family and she is determined to stop it at all costs.
See, Winter is a Wicked. Not a Witch - a Wicked. The magic system created for this series is so cool. It focuses on balance. Witches are blessed with Magic to do good…Wickeds are cursed with Power to do evil, even if the Wickeds want to do good.
As Winter tries to avoid her vision becoming reality, Erikson appoints himself her shadow. The forced proximity reveals more than they anticipate, as they discover they have history they don’t know about.
This is book two in a series of stand alones. I had no problems keeping up with the book. I am very seriously considering buying book one to read. The story-telling is wonderful, the characters felt like old friends and the humour was so good.
But in my opinion, one of the standout parts of this book is the emotional depth. Erikson and Winter both initially misjudge each other, making assumptions based on the personas they show the world. As they work through their prejudices, they learn more about themselves and the emotional weight they have both carried.
This is a slow burn, open door (or beach…or truck…) book. There’s discussion of parental death and panic attacks. There is also a brief mention of a school shooting as a past event.
I highly recommend this cosy read to anyone who enjoys rom coms, interesting magic systems and opposites attract.
In my Perfectly Wicked review I wrote “If there isn’t a sequel about the Shadow Council and Winter/Erikson I’ll be sending an email” and I didn’t even need to send one for my wish to come true. I’m very wary of sequels when I loved the first so much, but I think Lindsay Lovise has done a fantastic job keeping the momentum going.
If you want enemies-to-lovers, this kicks off with her physically throwing him off a boat and ends with mutual I love you’s.
This was so refreshing after the slog of romances I went through. No former relationships haunting them, they both accepted help when they truly needed it, they reached out for help when they needed it, and conflict between them was resolved fairly quickly. Winter is a likable prickly FMC who isn’t dense for the sake of plot. Erikson graduates from golden retriever himbo to a guard dog with as much brains as his brother. There’s no doubt he was written by a woman and I ate up every single word of it. Lovise’s foreshadowing was subtle enough and every time I nailed a prediction, I’d flip back and realize I didn’t predict anything at all and it was all right there on the pages.
What I am proud of is the second Atlantes showed up in the vision at the very beginning I made the note: “Of course the gorgeous man came to help the sisters so we can get a third book and watch a romance of Missy and this man get nauseous around each other for 300 pages”. I didn’t even know how right I was and I’m so excited for the next installment.
The only reason I didn’t inhale this story in one night was because my circadian rhythm is stronger than my will.
Lindsay Lovise delivers another enchanting paranormal romance with Just a Little Wicked. This time, the focus shifts to Winter Celeste, giving the quieter sister her chance to shine in a story filled with tension, heart, and a touch of danger.
What really stands out is the worldbuilding. The idea of Wickeds is such a fresh, inventive take on the story of wicked witches. Lovise blends romance and mythology seamlessly, balancing tender, emotional moments with high stakes and rich lore that continues to expand the series. Winter’s character arc is both vulnerable and powerful, and her dynamic with Erikson is full of sparks and depth. Their chemistry is beautifully written, with all the tension you could want from an enemies-to-lovers arc. The romance is passionate but also ties directly into the larger picture of the world.
While the pacing can slow in spots, the book shines in its atmosphere, its clever twists on familiar tropes, and its ability to make you root for its characters. With hints of bigger battles and relationships yet to come, Just a Little Wicked is a strong, magical continuation that left me eager for the next story.
I’ve really loved this series and the powerful message each book holds: to embrace ourselves wholly, flaws and all. This book, particularly, moved me. I really connected with Winter. She’s loyal and strong and willing to do anything to save her family, even if that means denying parts of herself. When she finally accepted all of herself, especially the darkness, I teared up. Her character arc took me on a journey, and I was excited when she fully came into her power.
I loved her relationship with Erikson. The banter was witty and the vulnerable moments made my heart skip a beat. I like that their relationship unfolded slowly even in spite of certain revelations that are made. They chose to be together. Erikson is my kind of book boyfriend: charming, steadfast, and loyal to no end. Seeing the love between him and his brother was joyful. I liked the closeness of their relationship, as well as the closeness of the Celeste sisters. Together they create a loving family that you want to be a part of. I enjoyed this book so much. I cannot wait until Missy and Atlantes’s book. That grumpy witch won’t know what hit him!!
Found the first book last year on an Indigo list and absolutely loved it! I was very invested in the characters and was hoping the author would write a sequel. The sequel can be read as a standalone but I'd suggest reading Perfectly Wicked first! I was super fortunate to receive an advanced copy of Just a Little Wicked directly from the author. I loved everything about this book- the plot is very rich and the characters have a lot of depth. The magical elements are very easy to follow.
Both books are 5 star reads for me- Just a Little Wicked is out September 9th!
Thanks again to the author for the ARC of this book!
I loved reading how Winter and Erikson romance unfolded! I’ve been waiting for this book and it did not disappoint it far exceeded my expectations! We get to see more of the other characters but also learn more about the ever present issue with the shadow council! I really enjoyed how the enemies to lovers trope was played out. The defense and protection of one another was so sweet and made me so happy. The banter and slow burn was also something I really loved! This book left me with more questions than answers but it was perfect! I’m so excited for book three!
I enjoyed this one more than the first one. There was more action, more insight into the world, and I like Winter and Erikson better than Holly and Connor. I liked the story arc of the book and the content but I did notice several minor errors like punctuation mistakes or incorrect or missing words. Overall I’m glad I read it and I will definitely be reading the third one! The premise is different and I like that. It’s also easy to read and very fun and enjoyable.
✨ Book 2 in Lindsay's paranormal wicked witches who run an apple farm series!! I love her writing in this series so much, the wicked/good witches plot is so fun, and the romances are SO swoony <3
✨ This one is a grumpy x sunshine romance, where they go on a road trip to solve a mystery and save everyone from a foreseen death (she's a seer btw!)
I fell in love with the Celeste family in Perfectly Wicked, the first book in the Wicked Sisters series by Lindsay Louise. The second book in the series, Just a Little Wicked made me fall for them even more and I absolutely LOVE this series!
A lot of people will do anything for their family especially when they are protecting them. After seeing a dark vision of her families future, Winter Celeste's version of protection is running away from home which includes skipping her sisters wedding! Although her plan feels solid to her, her family doesn't quite agree with that. Enter Erikson Grimm. As his brother, Connor is about to marry Winter's sister, Holly, Erikson is given the task, more like guilted the task he feels like, to find Winter to drag her back, if need be, to be there for their siblings wedding. Even from the beginning of meeting each other, both Winter and Erikson feel a pull to each other yet fight it due to stubbornness. Although Erikson isn't quite keen on going on this quest Winter insists she needs to do for the families safety, he'll do anything to keep his family safe and in their good graces. Strange dreams hint at a deeper connection between them and as much as they try to, the universe has an interesting way to keep pulling them closer together. They are both torn on how they feel like they are repeating history together yet how can that be? Are their dreams a warning that they can never be together? So many questions yet Winter isn't sure who can really help them knowing limited history of her kind. Time is not on their side as their siblings wedding is coming up along with her deadly premonition. Can they save their family in time?
Just a Little Wicked was yet again a very enjoyable read and I am so thankful I was able to get an ARC from the author herself because I've been looking forward to this book since her first book in the series last year! The storyline is solid, the flow is great and the holy crap moments had me so many times that I may have been yelling at the characters in the book! That makes a great book when you become emotionally invested into characters you get to read about.
Thank you so much Lindsay Lovise for this ARC and for your amazing story telling! I can't wait until the third book in the series!
"We're sisters by blood and choice, Winter. Don't you forget that." What a great read this was I loved how we saw Winter struggle with her control and how Erikson was always a steady presence and anchors her. I loved the nicknames!
This was just as good as the first one. I was happy to see Winter's story and Erikson. They had a fun relationship. I loved seeing Winter learn more about her powers and I really liked the plot. These books are a lot of fun and I'm really hopeful there's more to come.
So, you don’t have to read the first one, but it helps. I liked this better than the first one. I loved the plot twist and can’t wait for the next one. The take on witches is unique, and her characters are lovely.
Had so much fun continuing this series! The concept of this series is just so fun and bingeable. The middle lagged a little for me in this one, but overall I loved the story! Hoping we get book 3 to wrap everything up 🤞🏼
