༄˖°.🎶🔮🌙.ೃ࿔*:・ There is just something about this series that feels like a warm blanket. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5)
The Fortune Records books continue to surprise me with how cozy and comforting they are — and Aster might be my favorite vibe-wise so far. It made me giggle. It made me smile. And even though I’m not always reading monster romances, this series handles it in a way that never feels fetishizing or over-the-top.
✎ᝰ The Setup
Hyacinth is a human sound tech starting a new job at Fortune Records, fully aware that Monsters exist — she’s just never had to work with them before. Determined to stay professional, organized, and emotionally neutral, she quickly finds that impossible thanks to two very different coworkers:
Liliana, an Alpha succubus PR powerhouse who runs the studio like a war zone — sharp heels, sharper fangs, and pure dominant energy.
Addison, a soft-spoken Omega producer with a chaotic desk, violet braids, and a quietly magnetic presence — also a witch, which I loved as a “monster” classification.
Between studio chaos, flirty banter, and feelings Hyacinth absolutely did not plan for, she finds herself caught in something tender, tangled, and surprisingly gentle.
⋆˖⁺‧₊☽◯☾₊‧⁺˖⋆ Characters & Dynamics
Liliana was hands down my favorite character. She’s hot, dominant, confident, and fully a bad bitch — but not without depth. I loved watching her soften without losing her edge.
Addison was also a standout for me, especially as a person. The witch-as-monster concept was genuinely interesting, and her calm, grounding presence balanced the dynamic beautifully.
Hyacinth herself was easy to root for — sweet, overwhelmed, and quietly brave as she navigates her queer awakening and her first experiences with Monsters and poly dynamics.
♡✧˚ ༘ ⋆。♡˚ Romance & Spice
This was my first F/F/F poly romance, and I thought it was handled really well. The relationship development felt intentional and warm rather than rushed or purely physical.
It’s definitely spicy — but in a soft, cozy way. Sensual without being scandalous, and emotionally driven rather than shock-focused.
🌶️ Spice level: moderate, warm, and very approachable.
⋆。°·☁︎ Final Thoughts
I gave Aster three stars not because I didn’t enjoy it — I really did — but because that’s just where it landed for me based on my usual rating criteria. It didn’t "blow me away," but it absolutely delivered comfort, charm, and heart.
If you’re looking for a lighthearted, cozy-yet-spicy queer monster romance with found family vibes and studio shenanigans, this series (and this book especially) is an easy recommendation.
