I'll give this author credit and a positive comment in the sense of making an attempt. That said, it is my only positive critique. It's a self-published book, which I don't have a problem with, but it felt like the author just needed a topic to write on just for the sake of publishing. There were no in-text citations. Where was the author getting their information from? Yes, there is a reference section near the end, but even that isn't well put together. It does not say where in the chapter that they referenced their material. Most of it felt rushed, and the sections in each chapter were broken up too quickly, so it was hard to even follow one point to the next.

Sad to see that this book was such a disappointment. I was expecting better.

This work was and is exceptional. It was deeply educational and a worthwhile read. It brought back memories of a family member who suffered with dementia and could no longer speak but could sing which made the family very happy. I recommend it highly.

I love this book! It gave me the confidence that I needed to try singing again, it’s working. I would recommend this book to anyone who have hesitation about music therapy, it can help you heal. I also am practicing my breathing for anything that I do.
